2241  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: July 31, 2022, 06:11:03 PM
Good enough to an extent bitcoin has been made simplified forbuser to easily navigate through and make transactions but nevertheless we cannot wave away the need to learning the basics in performing these, because some mistakes are not correctible and may cost the gambler, also having this blend with the lightening network makes it more easier for users interested in that, it will always provide with the norms just as expected in gambling.

Unless in the unusual scenario of alterations in an invoice, which I don't think will happen to anybody except when someone's keyboard has been compromised by a keylogger, the lightning network does not have the complicated environment that will constantly cause users to make mistakes.
The lightning network saves a lot of fees, and this will save a lot of fees for both the player and the casino, but I feel that casinos with fixed withdrawal fees will not do this since they won't be able to receive that cuts from players again.
2242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 31, 2022, 05:40:47 PM
The starting lineup for Manchester United's final preseason game against Rayo Vallecano in has been announced; Cristiano Ronaldo and Christian Eriksen are in the front half of the lineup.
United supporters will provide live support at the Theater of Dreams before their Premier League opener against Brighton & Hove Albion next Sunday and this will be Erik ten Hag's first game at home.
The lineup for games against Vallecano includes Heaton, Laird, Varane, Martinez, Telles, Van de Beek, Garner, Chong, Eriksen, Garnacho, and Ronaldo.

With all the excitement surrounding Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford and the standing ovation he received from supporters, there was little to show off even in preseason. If it hadn't been for Amad's substitution, they would have lost by 0-1 against Rayo Vallecano.
If Erik is so confident in him, why was he replaced by Amad? Was it because he hadn't been practising to understand how the other players had developed over the previous weeks, or was it just a random choice? Ronaldo wasn't happy about that because he even left right before the last minute of the match.
2243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 31, 2022, 05:06:05 PM
It not difficult to know if someone is addicted to gambling. There are some characters that an addicted gambler will portray and you will definitely know that he is an addicted gambler. One character in them is that they don't leave the gambling hall.Anyone who is addicted to gambler will not leave where they gamble, they are always there. They use every little money they have to gamble hoping that one day it will favour them. The moment you this see people like this, then have in mind that the person is an addict.

Have you ever observed a silent form of underage gambling addict? I'm referring to the introvert who normally completes all tasks at home before leaving discreetly to visit friends and then going to a sportsbook to place bets on different games, this is even an example of physical betting outlets. Some of them used credit cards to make deposits without their parent's consent and play online and now that some Bitcoin casinos don't require fiat and anyone can withdraw their money anonymously without completing any KYC. These kinds of people are very difficult to notice with some characteristics especially if they are the smart ones and also fear their parents because they will always hide things from their parents.
2244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Looking to start an online casino on: July 31, 2022, 10:30:16 AM
I have a background in coding, and I know the in and outs of integrating crypto, yet i have zero game development skills, and i have no idea how much it will cost, and will it even get users.

Online casino is indeed a good business but it's not that easy to build it even if you are knowledgeable in coding. Even if you manage to create the website alone and get it a license, you will need other staffs that will help you to manage the platform. You will need to think of marketing strategies on how to attract users on your website. You will also need a customer support that will cater to the issues that your users will experience.

Above all, initial capital is the most important. No casino can run efficiently without the flow of funds at the beginning, they must pay their employees, support promotions and marketing, and pay out player winnings. If this is not addressed appropriately, the casino may go bankrupt within its first month.

Simply looking at the launch of a casino will show you that a welcome bonus of 200% is being used to lure new players, the smart players know how to use this effectively and always win at all costs.  Now, tell me how the will casino survives with excess bonuses and wins of players, that's the period they begin to play fowl games and begin their bad reputation, most often than not, such casinos usually fold up.

Didn't expect Liverpool to perform so well in the super cup and defeat Man City by a big score... Although the stats of the game are exactly the same, you could say that Man City took twice as many shots on target... But 3-1 is a big defeat... Liverpool must have played so well because they lost to CL...
Anyone would think Manchester City is a club that is guaranteed to win. But Liverpool really looked extraordinary, especially in the last minute we were given an additional goal. Both of them performed optimally, but Erling Haaland was just unlucky in his first time. Man City will definitely be very careful next season if the performance of Liverpool's current style of play.

I just feel that the pressure that has amounted on Halland's head is just too much, can you guys calm down and let him breathe in and out of the fresh Manchester City air? He is good, no doubt but it is called a match for a reason and any team is bound to win, his mistake was too unprofessional but players can't help the situation sometimes. It is too early to give too much credit for Liverpool, I know they tried but the last 2 seasons have been a back to back wins for Manchester City and I believe Halland is prepared to deliver the same thing again.

2247  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S dollar almost equal to Euro on: July 28, 2022, 02:43:29 PM
Wink good news for us dollar! this is interesting. Dollar had been much lower than Euros for the past decade i think.

Does this mean bullish run is coming soon??

This is not good news my friend. When I was still in Jr school, I remember always watching the UK news channel and I was influenced by their currency to the point that anytime I hear arguments between Euro and Dollar, I always volunteer until I beat the opponent, the joy was there till this moment it loses it parity with dollar due to ongoing crisis that is going on right now in the UK. There is the Food crisis, high inflation and recession and isn't helping and this has helped me understand what has been holding the Euro all this while.

Theoretically, this should be bullish for bitcoin but the same factor is making investors sell their assets to prepare for the worst, nobody wants to stay hungry during the food crisis in a recession.
2248  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon and his bag of tricks on: July 28, 2022, 02:18:09 PM
We have to stop speculating about bitcoin and Elon relationship because the 2.5% is not really a big drop to bitcoin's volatility range and 9% hike on the tesla shares is not also a big task, we can just assume all this thing as coincidence and stop giving him the attention he likes to get from the investment community.

Money influences the market, and Tesla has it, so whenever they make an announcement, it will definitely have an effect on the market. Nevertheless, the fact that the media usually ignores the effect of micro strategy and focuses on Elon makes me see them as sick content designed to draw more attention to their channels rather than Elon himself. If you look closely, it appears that he also enjoys more attention and tweets anything he wants, with the ongoing xxx scandal making him more popular than the wealthiest guy right now.

I'm happy that he has sold most of their holding and I will be looking forward to seeing him sell everything, enough of his manipulation, he will be known for his short-term growth in the bitcoin journey.
2249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stolen Bitcoin Be Recovered on: July 28, 2022, 01:39:44 PM
What really impressed me about the post was the comment section, where readers shared their experiences utilizing bitcoin. One of the commenter named Paul Krebs described how he lost his bitcoin to a bogus blockchain.com imposter on Facebook, where they contacted him as blockchain official support. They gained access to his blockchain wallet, and 7.0938 BTC were taken. However, he claimed that the bitcoin was returned after he emailed a recovery expert with contact address - BLACKJOCKER10x @ PROTONMAIL COM. Different professionals who aid in retrieving stolen bitcoin were suggested by other commenters.

This post explains how cryptocurrency newbies like me, who are also interested in learning more about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies can receive assistance from professionals who can aid in retrieving monies that have been taken from their wallets. And how to spot bogus blockchain official supporters when they are dressed as one. We have experts in the forum who can shed more light on this as well as how genuine those commenters were and determine if their testimonies were not fake. By contacting such experts, people won't be persuaded to fall victim to another scam.

You should understand something about bitcoin posts and cryptocurrency, those comments are just one of the ways you will end up being scammed again and again. Bitcoin loss cannot be reversed, you can't undo a transaction that has been confirmed on the bitcoin network, you may see rare cases where experts help to recover private keys from wallet.dat which require brute forcing but not an already spent bitcoin.

If look at that comment closely and understand how bitcoin work, you will know that the user who made the comment lied for a living, I see no reason why someone will take over your wallet and still leave the bitcoin on the wallet until some shitty expert helped him out. Those kinds of comments are easier to spot and very popular on social media, most of the time, on youtube channels. This is where a single person will comment on how MR A has helped him trade $200 to make $11k and the rest of the testimonial bots replies will follow the comment just to convince people to try out the fake service.

you can click on the Curacao License  footer and see the license

Seems like your Casino is of Arabic origin, I can see from your image but next time, use https://imgur.com to upload images, the one you upload doesn't display but I have found it myself.
The link you provided in OP redirected me to that page, I didn't know you have ways to access the casino without going through yas.bet, anyway it is cool but you should make it more appealing to the eye.

I just registered on yasbet but the auto-mail I received is in Arabic which I can't read, I wish you guys should have an alternative to deliver email to users in English when they detect Eng from the URL.
2252  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is why Bitcoin is the only way on: July 27, 2022, 12:25:12 PM
This is why crypto (Bitcoin) is the only way. And we that have seen it and, how it's working for us must spread it's usefulness far and near.

I don't like the idea of generalizing crypto with bitcoin, bitcoin is the only coin that is decentralized without any resistance from any organization, government or dictatorship but the cryptos we have today are 99% centralized in my opinion. Any coin that has a centralized protocol that will prevent you from spending your coins even with your private keys is just a space away from banks. Let's look at an example:

Solana halt their blockchain more than twice now just to reduce the impact of sellers on the market, is that different from what the banks of china are currently doing? This is why Bitcoin is just unique and hence we shouldn't generalise bitcoin and cryptos(altcoins).
2253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buying low and selling high on: July 27, 2022, 12:13:35 PM
is using spot trading to buy low and sell high for few dollars a good practice? a close relative said he was able to grow his crypto portfolio this way, is this a good practice?

Grow his portfolio? You can grow your Portfolio by buying low and selling high when the price appreciates and most of the time, it takes time to sell at the high time except if your relative is a trader and being a trader can be a daily or occasional trader who trades when in the mood or see an opportunity.
However, can one buy low and sell high and still increase their portfolio? You can increase your portfolio when you buy coins more and more with dollar cost average in every opportunity which is always this kind of times(bear time) and sells high when the price appreciates.

I will drop my unbias review here: The landing page looks too plane and isn't too welcoming like we do have in other casinos, the welcome heading isn't also convincing to attract a new player. I mean look at the image below:

The Home page isn't attractive as a casino, it doesn't even have any description of the casino, another thing is I couldn't locate the Licence description in the footer of the home page, How can we prove that you are licensed to operate a casino?

Please kindly translate everything about the casino to English so that I don't have to repeatedly click on google Translate to do the work for me, English is universal and wouldn't be a difficult task, isn't it!
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: July 27, 2022, 08:58:45 AM
Yeah, just probably implement to restrict underage to gamble. For sure it will be hard to 'fake' this documents or maybe this kids can find a loophole? We really don't know, still up to their parents though to really monitor them. As far as privacy goes, the casino's will have the responsibility to protect the data of all of their customers and I don't think there is privacy if you gamble either online or off-line. Offline casinos too require id if you wanted to avail of their cards to gain points or have perks like free hotel accommodations, food and drinks and everything that will make gamblers go back and play more.

This database appears to be too centralized as if someone were completing an ID as a citizen of the country. I worry that if my name is requested, I will be identified as a gambler. In my opinion, this doesn't look cool in my opinion, what about those who want to gamble but don't want people to know they bet for a living? We should all have the freedom to do anything we want without having our privacy violated in the process.

The offline Casino is different in this case, your ID will be required so that they know who is who and who they are offering service for in their casino, not as if they will make a card for you except for VVIP tickets that differentiate you from other players.
2256  Other / Off-topic / Re: VAR: Has it improved football or has made it worse ?* on: July 27, 2022, 08:37:15 AM
If you pay close attention to some big games, like El Clasico in the Spanish League and Derby in the English Leagues, you'll notice that the referee rarely pays much attention to VAR since it kills the fun and freedom of football, unless it's clearly necessary. Look at the just concluded Champions League final match between Real Madrid and Liverpool. You'll see that the referee ignored several fouls that were too clear to warrant a stop and a decision, yet the game went on as if nothing had happened.

Personally, I like it because it makes it easier to make tough decisions without upsetting the crowd, but even then, tough final decisions are made anonymously by others, not by the referee, and also they allow them once in a while, if the referee cannot make the decision himself, then I don't know its primary purpose.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Elementary school question about minimum transaction fee. on: July 26, 2022, 04:47:25 PM
Since the minimum fee to make a transaction is 546 sats, and less is considered dust........

The minimum sats output you mean and not transaction fee.
You can combine numbers of inputs to make transactions as long as they are above 546 sats which is for legacy addresses, You can go below that number for segwit address with a minimum accepted sats of 294. The downside of using multiple inputs is that you will be paying more fees compared to when you use a single input.

You are multiplying the size of the transaction by the fee set by you and that will give you the fee you will be paying for miners to include your transactions in the next block. For example, if you have 112 sat/vb and you set a fee of 2 sats, you will be multiplying 2x112=224 sats as a fee
2258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / What is the difference between a server and a node on: July 25, 2022, 06:58:15 PM
To broadcast a transaction from a wallet to the bitcoin network, you can connect to a node, either privately or publicly, but I don't know why electrum and sparrow wallet used server in their network connections instead of nodes. I'm assuming server and bitcoin nodes are the same thing, but I'm not sure.
2259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happen to Chipmixer child pays for parent transaction? on: July 25, 2022, 11:50:26 AM
First, this has nothing to do with ChipMixer. Second: I made that transaction Cheesy
It has nothing to do with CPFP, it's just a regular "spend unconfirmed input" (which can go much deeper than just one unconfirmed parent).

I was very sure what I saw, the mempool flagged it as a CPFP. I wished I have taken the screenshot before the transaction were confirmed to back it up but my curiosity wasn't there yet until I reopened the tab I left on my PC. Now, I can't prove anything  Embarrassed Embarrassed

Quote
The txid is already known when broadcasting the transaction, that's why you can spend unconfirmed inputs. The risk is double spending the original transaction, in which case the second transaction would no longer exist. But that's not a risk I worry about in this case.
I can't say anything further about this since you said it was a normal transaction.

Quote
I don't know where you got the median fee of 8 sats/vbyte, but at the time I made the transaction, the minimum fee was enough for a fast confirmation.
May be mempool was doing his thing, it was at that range when I opened the transactions.

Assuming that the second transaction was child pays for parent, is 0.01sat difference enough to override the parent transaction if the fee should go lower ? I have not seen median fee as 1.5, 1.7, 3.5sat before.
2260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / What happen to Chipmixer child pays for parent transaction? on: July 25, 2022, 10:43:13 AM
Yesterday, I bump into Chipmixer service thread when OP sent out weekly payment to their signature participants and when I opened the transaction hash= 714701687f40263d6ff40139568e5162f38fd3eb04efb2b44954e36279d2712f, it was yet to be confirmed with 1 sat/vb and as that time the least unconfirmed median fee was 8 sats/vbyte and then right below one of the receiving wallet address, I saw one wallet did spent the output but was also unconfirmed at time. I was skeptical that the only way for the owner to spend his UTXO is to do a Child pay for parents or when the the parent transaction fee is bump.

When I checked the wallet address transaction, it was flagged by the explorer as CPFP with a fee of 1.01 sat/vb but the fee was not too different from the parent transaction (1sat/vb). I wait to see what will happen when the mempool becomes less congested to see which one will first get confirm because that fee aren't too different.

I just checked now, they both have been confirmed in the same block at the same time but it seems the parent was confirmed and the CPFP was confirmed as normal transaction.

Parent transaction = https://mempool.space/tx/714701687f40263d6ff40139568e5162f38fd3eb04efb2b44954e36279d2712f

Attempted CPFP= https://mempool.space/tx/c6a2070c5370533fd73b2f07b0800f16c61e820781fa0fa0f24c8a865a412d1f

It is obvious the two transactions are independent of each other as the first transaction input was 1609 sat as fee and the second with 111 sat.

From the screenshots, you can see they were both confirm in the same block and the same minutes but my question is was 0.01 sat/vbyte not significant to trigger the parent transaction as CPFP?

Second question, if they were both confirm at the same time in the same block, where did the second transaction have his transaction reference from? For it to confirm, it need the previous(reference) transaction hash but seeing they both confirm at the same time is unclear to me.

I was expecting the second transaction to be sitting in the orphan transaction pool since the parent need to be confirmed to have the previous hash to be able to to confirm the second transaction.
