2241  Economy / Economics / Re: Switching The World To Renewable Energy Will Cost $62 Trillion on: October 15, 2022, 12:11:06 PM
There must be a political will for this to happen... and currently 3rd world countries with "Coal" and "Gas" and "Oil" are happy to sell those resources at a much cheaper price than what "clean" energy will cost them. The political leaders are pocketing most of the money that is supposed to go into the country... so their citizens remain poor.  Sad

The moment when they monetize "clean" energy.... political leaders will take interest. Example : Create an "international power grid" and let other countries pay for the energy that is exported over their borders.  Wink
2242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 15, 2022, 11:55:24 AM
Gambling for me are not about profit.... because I gamble for entertainment. So I will simply leave the money that I won ..on the casino to continue gambling. Yes, when I win something huge... I will withdraw a small amount to treat my family and friends or to buy something nice.... but the majority of the winnings stay on the casino.  Tongue

That is why they say... "If you do not quit when you win big.. the house always win"
2243  Economy / Gambling / Re: How is the performance of gambling tokens compare to other altcoins and btc on: October 15, 2022, 11:50:26 AM
All tokens and Crypto currencies are the same.... once they enter the casinos internal database.... then it is not being used as a token or a Crypto coin, but just as a entry on a database. The only time when you should be bothered with performance... should be when you deposit and when you withdraw... because you deal with the blockchains once it is outside of the casinos database.

My main thing is "utility" ..... you can have the best token, but if it has no utility.... then you cannot use it outside of the casino where you are using it. (It has to be listed on a popular exchange and there has to be trading volume for that token)  Roll Eyes
2244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A painter received $50 worth of bitcoin on June 2013. on: October 15, 2022, 08:39:26 AM
Well, at first I thought it was all bullshit.. because the price looked wrong for the period... but I guess I was wrong... it could be factually correct. The Bitcoin price was around $13.28 at the beginning of the year and then it went up quickly to $30 in the first quarter of the year and it ended at about $100 at the end of the year.  Wink

I guess she would have pissed her panties if she sold those bitcoins when the price was at a ATH of $60 000+ a while ago. If she was clever.... she will wait until the price reach a new ATH.... and sell then.  Wink
2245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts! on: October 14, 2022, 07:43:11 PM
Does this bot actually work for Stake.com and PD..... because Eddie (co-owner of Stake.com) said in one of his streams that they changed the API and that is the reason why so many of the bots are not working with it anymore.

So, is there someone out there that are still using this bot at Stake.com? I tried... but I failed miserably.  Roll Eyes  ....Be "lekker" and share the info with all of us.  Tongue
2246  Economy / Economics / Re: Court win for worker fired for not keeping webcam on on: October 14, 2022, 07:10:33 AM
I think each case must be evaluated on merit, because each scenario might be different. Example :

1. If you have a retail company, it might be acceptable if you place CCTV on the teller and also in the shop to prevent theft.
2. If you have a high security area, where you need to monitor for security (Prisons) ..then 24/7 security measures must be allowed.

The problem come in when you might be working from home and your employer wants you to have your webcam enabled while you work from home. (There are other people living in the same house and you might be invading their privacy)

So, it is difficult..... but it must be done on merit.. based on the specific circumstances.  Roll Eyes
2247  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 14, 2022, 06:05:08 AM
I suggest to the title thread change to - Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton  Main Partner ⚽ 🥊
Because Watford is not the main sponsor again if I don't have a mistake.

As long as I know based on the current Jersey of Watford, Stake is still sponsoring Watford this season. You can check Watford official partners page https://www.watfordfc.com/club/partners or you can watch some highlight matches of Watford this season and you will see that Stake's logo is still printed on the jersey. It means that Stake is currently sponsoring both Everton and Watford. The best option is to add Everton in the title of this thread instead of remove Watford and replace it with Everton.

Yes, Eddie said they signed a long-term contract with Watford, so they cannot get out of that...  Roll Eyes  I cannot understand why they wanted to add Everton ....but if I have to take a guess, it could have been because Watford was relegated and Stake wanted a team that was in the Premier League. (more exposure)

In any way... they spend a LOT of money on both of those sponsorships and we (players) are taking a beating to fund it. I honestly think Stake's marketing team are spending too much on marketing.  Roll Eyes  (Drake / UFC / Soccer ......)
2248  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-26] 72% of Russians say they have never bought Bitcoin: Survey on: October 14, 2022, 05:51:57 AM
I know there are a lot of hostility against Russia at the moment (@Lusius) ...but let's look at news like this from Russia ..as something positive for everyone in the Bitcoin community. The fact that Russia is at war.... does not mean that all Russian support this action.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin adoption might increase, because people in Russia might need Bitcoin to store their wealth and to protect it from possible hyper inflation in the future. We also know sanctions are in place to restrict their economic growth and that is hurting everyone... not just the people who wanted this war.  Sad
2249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 14, 2022, 05:29:16 AM
Well, Alt coins are very broad.... you literally talking about 1000s of Alt coins and many of them are pump&dump schemes and shitcoins. So choosing the Alt coin that might yield a 20x or 50x return on your investment... is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Bitcoin has shown that it can give huge profits in the long term, but most people are greedy and they are looking for quick ROI ...over short periods. (mostly because they want to have liquidity with their investment capital)  Roll Eyes
2250  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 13, 2022, 04:05:50 PM
When I started in Crypto currencies... back when Bitcoin was just $300 per coin... anonymity was VERY important, because it was still illegal to own and use it. As time goes by.... governments started to define it as a commodity and gambling was one of the main uses for it. (still illegal in many countries)

Now it is 100% legal in many countries and online gambling are regulated and requires KYC verification ...effectively killing all anonymity. There are some sites that are not regulated and you can still gamble without losing your anonymity.... but they are getting fewer and fewer over time.

Is it important for me to be anonymous..... Yes, because pseudo anonymity protect your financial privacy and your Crypto wealth.  Sad
2251  Economy / Economics / Re: Made in America is back, leaving US factories scrambling to find workers on: October 13, 2022, 08:34:23 AM
What a great problem to have.... not having enough "skilled" people to fill all the jobs that are being advertised by these countries. In my country with the high unemployment, we have people with very good qualifications that are fighting to get a job.  Roll Eyes

It is no wonder that 1st world countries are sourcing jobs from 3rd world countries like crazy at the moment. Also very cheap labor, compared to what they are paying their own citizens.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Sites in the Country doest allowed on: October 13, 2022, 07:40:41 AM
The reason why most countries are banning online casinos are "money" .....because those online casinos are not paying taxes on the money that are spend on there by their citizens. (That is money that are going out of the country and it circumvents currency controls by these governments)  Roll Eyes

Yes, some countries ban "gambling" due to religious reasons, but most countries does that because they are losing out on "taxes" and "license" fees that must be paid to them. (Some "Brick n mortar" casinos have to bribe decision makers in government to get a license)
2253  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 13, 2022, 07:32:08 AM
The "Brick n mortar" casinos still have a huge attraction when it comes to entertainment, because it offers physical interaction with humans. The physical interaction with other humans/people are very important, because human beings are designed to be social and most people need that in their lives.

I can sit for hours, just looking at the interaction of people and how we socialize with each other. I will go to a "Brick n mortar" casino, just to talk to other gamblers and to share some drinks with friends.
2254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good that the Bitcoin community acts like a cult? (Podcast) on: October 13, 2022, 07:25:42 AM
The fact that a lot of people in the community has a libertarian mindset, does not mean that they are part of some extremist cult. We have to remember that anyone challenging the "norm" and finding better alternatives..are in actual fact good for the society.

I think the mainstream media are to blame for the "cult" label that are plastered on Bitcoin communities, because they are pushing the hidden agenda of the puppet masters that wants to create that perception. (They are scared of the disruptive potential of the Bitcoin technology)  Roll Eyes
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh has blocked 331 online casinos on: October 12, 2022, 03:15:48 PM
The politicians will not acknowledge it, but the most money laundering happens to go through Banks. https://sanctionscanner.com/blog/the-five-biggest-money-laundering-scandals-317 or https://www.cityam.com/city-special-the-biggest-money-laundering-scandals-in-banking/  ...where you will see that HSBC was fined $1.9 billion in 2012 for having insufficient AML measures in place which enabled around $8 billion to be laundered over seven years.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

In any way.... Mirror sites pop up like mushrooms ...so it is almost impossible to stop people from gambling on these sites.... and new casinos also pop up frequently.  Grin
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 12, 2022, 03:08:46 PM
Well, Dice is a bit limited... but if you are tracking all bets... I would put up a few numbers and see who falls on that Bet ID.... for example ... if your total amount of bets are currently 10 000 000 bets... then I will say anyone that have bets falling between 10 500 000 and 10 500 100 will each get $50 ...... or you can have bigger prizes... for example $500 for the person that have the bet ID of say $11 000 000.

This way, people have to push the bets to reach those bet ID's and depending on your bet volume.. you could make it much higher ...say every 1 000 000 bets get a prize.  Roll Eyes
2257  Economy / Gambling / Re: STAKE SCAMMED $100K AND NOT REPLYING EMAILS FOR 6 MONTHS on: October 12, 2022, 06:33:56 AM
I think the standard practice when someone provides "false" documents, should be that the account should be "locked" and later deleted. It is not clear if they did that and if OP opened an Alt account to continue gambling.

If he/she opened a new Alt account and then continued gambling... nobody would do anything, until a "red flag" are raised. (Like someone winning something big or someone that are continuously winning)  So when this happens, the casino will start to investigate and they will look for Alt accounts that are linked to "locked" accounts....and when it is found.... they will lock those accounts too.

OP, did you continue gambling on a new Alt account?
2258  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com does not deem crypto earnings as legal on: October 12, 2022, 06:17:35 AM
Well, most of your "Brick n Mortar" casinos will also not recognize Crypto earnings as "legal" income, because it does not reflect on a "Pay slip" from a company that can be validated. The paper trail must lead to some legitimate company that can be verified to confirm that it is from a legal source.  Roll Eyes

I think the "Verification team" are some old school auditors that work with Fiat "rules" and "regulations" to guide them in determining what "legal" documents are for "Proof of funds"  Roll Eyes
2259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have all the 'Bull Runs' just been billionaires pumpin and dumpin? on: October 12, 2022, 06:00:02 AM
Well, most bull runs are triggered by some kind of event, like a country accepting Crypto currency as a "currency" or some celebrity buying loads of coins ....but it is followed up by Whales that are using that to pump the markets.

This is not different to any other "Commodity" ....but most of the trigger events with Fiat based currencies/commodities are the government that are doing something. (Declaring wars / lowering or increasing taxes or interest rates ....etc.)  Roll Eyes
2260  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-15] In the US conservationists want BTC to switch to PoS too on: October 11, 2022, 06:33:12 AM
This is absolute nonsense....

Proof of Stake will just make it easier for FIAT rich a$$holes and Bitcoin whales to monopolize Bitcoin mining. This will jeopardize the security and decentralization of the technology.  Roll Eyes  We currently still have smaller miners having some influence over the direction that mining are going, within the mining pools where they are dumping their hashing power and with PoS, only a bunch of rich people will have all the say.  Roll Eyes

I think these environmental groups have to do some more research to see the real agenda behind this whole PoS hype that are spread by controlled mainstream media. Also, calculate the amount of "dirty" energy used by Banks and large financial firms... to see the bigger picture.  Roll Eyes
