I can see Messi still celebrating after is victory in the World Cup and his main target or wish have been granted. I miss my favorite black player Saka and can't wait for the resumption.
Transfer news are concentrating more on Chelsea and ManU. Chelsea doesn't seem to be in contact with CR7 yet, I believe they think he isn't useful for them anymore, otherwise they picked him already, no? It's really surprising Karim Benzema announce if he's officially retire from international football tournament [1] although it's make sense since he haven't play any single match in the world cup, I think the manager ask him to not play or Benzema has a personal problem with France's national teammates. Benzema is currently at his peak performance, he get Ballon d'Or which is already prove to become the best football player in this year.
Honestly Benzema could play for Algeria, but Algeria has very bad performance which only make him wasting his time.
Algeria was better than Morocco few years ago and were almost in World Cup this year but things in Africa are more complicated with suspicious referee decisions like ending the game before minutes from the 90' twice like what happened in Tunisia game. Algeria protested but was neglected. Anyway, Morocco was good thanks to many players playing in Europe and Algeria could do the same if its best players play with them. |

Giroud is a really special striker. He is still able to show a really great performance despite being 36 years old now. He is very productive and we have seen another example of it in the World Cup. He was very helpful with his goals in the absence of Benzema. I think he has already satisfied the expectations from him.
Maybe they lost in the finale but I still expect to see Giroud returning strongly. Milan will need his services in the attacking line despite having alternatives there. He still plays a critical role in Milan's games. The fans are also happy with his effort so far.
Giroud was a key player for the French team in the World Cup, just after of Mbappe and Lloris. There was some talks about his injury before the final game where he wasn't top and where the absence of Benzema was noted clearly. I think you overestimate the success of part of the PSG players in the World Cup, bookmakers continue to quote the probability of PSG winning the Champions League as 7.90 - which is even worse than Bayern (6.70), not to mention City (2.40). Club football is probably about a team game and not about a lottery or a set of stars (as one can sometimes say about national teams).
