As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.
Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?
I'm glad you first take the step of knowledge which some newbies ignore and they later blame themselves for it. However, for someone who's yet to have the required experience about basic cryptocurrency, investing into the top coins are the right move since most of them seems to have huge community support but not all top coins worth invest into now due to the market status. I will advice you to invest most of your fund into bitcoin and add little altcoin like MKR,ETH,BCH and KMD while you learn the basic skills of crypto trading and investment. |

what would you do if a newbie said he could develop your money and he asked you to invest money in him ?
I may invest on the newbie and I may ignore him either but depend how he show and explain the invest in details because ones can't judge what inside a book mere looking at the cover. However, I learned a lot from Bitcoin creation when Satoshi contact a tech guy which barely know to fix some bugs without been pay,the guy later quit and he's the one that ought to be in charge of Bitcoin if he don't quit then. So, I will hear the newbie side of story. |

Well, definitely not worth selling it immediately after receiving. Perhaps in the future the token will cost more. You should just study the road map of the project, news about it and see what important events are planned. Because if all goes well, after these events, the price will soar.
Well, studying the road map does not proof the bullish of a project after been listed or do you not know that 75% of projects fails to fulfil the promises they made during the ICO. What you make you understand is that some token don't worth holding for long and the community support, utility and the road map are what to be put into consideration before making a decision about the token received. |

I think that in 2019 there will be a real fight for the number 2 spot. So far ethereum has managed to fend off the competition, but they might not be able to do it for long
You're right about the fighting for the number spot on capital which will happen next but if the ethereum team provide the Casper and the shards which was the solution to the problem affecting ethereum market there will be no fight for the number 2 spot. However, concerning the OP statement, ripple will never be the number 1 coin this year or in future because ripple was supported by the government, banking sectors etc and it current pump in price was due to manipulation and newest deal signed by the team. Mind you, nothing last forever. |

I have been following the trend for the pass three months as bitcoin hoving within $6700 and $6200. It seems the bear has no momentum to pull bitcoin down further and the bull are waiting for reasons that bitcoin should go up. The bottom is here and if you want to be among the next bitcoin's billionaires now is the right time to make that investment decision.
Youre somehow right because the market seems to be resisting the dump in price act but that does not proof that the bull run market will happen at anything giving moment and it does not proof we have reached the bottom price either because youre going the reach the bottom price when it December holiday. |

There are over 1500 cryptocurrencies on the market. However, most of these crytocurrencies has little or no value at all. I have been selling several of these cryptocurrencies whose prices are just nothing to write home about. It is sad to see several cryptocurrencies valuing less than 0.0001 dollars. We, the investor( time and money investors) need to do a lot to cater for this unattractive prices. Some investors are scared of the low prices and hence are not even interested in trading in cryptocurrencies at what? What can we do to speed up cryptocurrencies in terms of price?  ? Please share your ideas. Firstly, I want you to know that the crypto market have changed alot due to the market blood and correction respectively which was also the factors the affected the price of the coins you mentioned to be little or no value. However, one of the strategy to the value of a coin in term of price are hosting an airdrop and crypto challenge in other to again more community support. |

It is better if people stop waiting for bull run and do some trading and increase their sats.
People have different motives for something and crypto will not escape for that reality, why people are waiting for the bull run this year? because they want sell as high as possible during the bull run well commonly for profit and lambos, they own their coins so we can't do anything about that, they own that asset so they can wait and sell crypto for profit, if you want to hold for long-term like decades or more, then you should not be looking for the price every day. Like you said people have different motives for every thing all because you have the same point of view but I want you to know that is a vital weapon in every business setting because every business have it own dump season and most cryptonier don't have the vital weapon which they need to succeed in this market. However, I want to know that it all the people which are waiting for bull run wanted tosell high cause those that bought during the last ATH are tired of calculating their lost. |

I believe that the bullish trend will begin soon. It seems to me that at the moment we are on the verge of a bullish trend. The market is ready to jump up.
If you ask me I tell you that is not about the thing you believe in that will make the bullish market occur but the market price movement status and ever since the August market which ought to be the pace for the bullish didn't look so good, automatically bullish market is not sure for this year. |

I used to sign up for airdrops until I realised most of them are just scammy/ really not worth anything.
I want to know your thoughts about them. Are they still something interesting to get into? If so, what do you think is interesting?
Of course, Airdrops is basically free money Despite not all Airdrops worth something, but even $3-5 could be alot if you participate alot Hardwork pays off, who knows you got into great airdrops which could make you good money Like you said hard work pay off but most of all the airdrop participants are paid some token which worth $5 or less and i am not trying to discourage anyone but airdrop participation doesnt pay much. But can still do it if have the time since it require little task. |

Although I am very much looking forward to the arrival of the bull market, the bear market has been going on for nearly a year, which is very bad, my wallet is also bleeding, my waiting seems to have no meaning!
Firstly, I want you to know that there's two things which every cryptonier must not ignore in other for them to have good tiding or else such cryptonier will always make debt instead of profit and the two things are time and patience. One's must make the best out of every time been spent either trading, mining etc. Because every seconds have it own advantage even if it seems sour. Patience is something hard to find within the crypto currency system but the powerful weapon of surviving and making profit in crypto market. However, the one good thing I love about crypto currency is that you can never make debt if you research, invest in right coins and be patience when the market is dip. |

Many people said here that bull run will come, it seems that this was just a positive speculations trying to regain people's trust with crypto but it the end we're still frustrated. The actual market movements wasn't showing a pumping or active marker movements, it was just neutral right now. Everybody should prepare for what's best thing to come randomly. When we say hodle, then positive principles comes in and for sure failure can be avoided.
Aside of the positive speculation make by people in other to regain trust in crypto as you said, the crypto market bull run will come but people should all their hopes out of this market because there's nothing left in this year market so i think there's no need for people to be frustrated because the market will be back to old glory days sooner or later but not this year. |

What the OP asked is of two categories because every social media have there own best features and if we are talking about the best social media outlets for cryptocurrency advertisement I believe is the best option but if we are talking of the social media for developers, analysts, enthusiasts etc Linkedln and Github are the best for that.

First of all. I respect you for having a solid trust in crypto currency market despite your previous investment during last ATH didnt yield a good result you still persist.
My advice to you concerning the coin that will give the best returns if the market properly goes into a bull run is by investing 80% into Bitcoin while you invest the 20% into altcoin like KMD, ETH, BCH, DASH and a genuine future promising ICO like Menapay. Don't invest in BEO and EOS those coins are centralized like XRP and the crypto could quit supporting it anytime.
