Exactly, but these fanatics think that if Ethereum falls to $8 it is because it is a scam or a complete failure. Ethereum may crash and burn eventually but it's also perhaps the only altcoin that holds true potential. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are risky investments. You guys really think that $100-200 value for BTC is out of the question after the halvening? Because I really can't see it going over $500 just on inertia, 2016 may be the first year where Bitcoin value goes down in its history.

It will likely correct much further to 4-5 usd before either a small bull trap or dead cat bounce. I expect Eth to continue to capitulate to 2-3 dollars as we approach july.
Ok, bounce failed to break the trend-line and hit a new low despite volume, which is pretty bearish. Can't discount another big drop now. |

I'm being very generous as it can be a lot worse(A majority was premined and invested for far less. Keep in mind that the IPO price was 0.30 per eth so it can easily find a much , much lower support.
The reason I am being so kind to ethereum in my estimates is because the Ethereum foundation now has a bit of room for more pumping due to a few sell offs and they are unlikely to dump their remaining premined eth all at once. There is still plenty of Hopium left in Eth but there will be capitulation.
Well, I can assure you that my numbers are not corrupted by generosity, kindliness, or any other foible. Your analysis of the actors in this arena is also missing a very important piece of information, which is the market itself. I take from this that you are no trader. |

Part of the reason is bad timing (investors will want to at least temporarily park in BTC for the halvening), part of the reason is Ethereum is losing its luster due to people wisening up, another reason is the advent of new clones and rootstock coming on board , and another reason is the fact that a majority of the coins were created for free or purchased at much cheaper rates where many investors will be tempted to take profits when they see eth sliding. What sustains a support is not just confidence but the average of where people purchased the coins at because many don't invest to sell for a loss. In this case most of the 79 million ether was premined or sold for much cheaper which gives a strong indication that ether could potentially and is likely to drop much further.
Your primary mistake is in thinking the relationship of those factors is a price of sub-0.01 during this wave down. It doesn't work like that. |

Now is the perfect time to buy ether. it has been very solid and seems to want to go back up naturally.
The price has recovered some bit. The price is around 0.0237 now. So there is quite strong buying support. Nope. 0.02 is next support level, and failing that I'd suggest it filling the gap between 0.018 and 0.016. Look for high volume. Should see a good bounce then. |

Auction is over and the winning bid was 86 BTC (a surprisingly large sum for for the assets imho) bringing total Bitcoin under Davout's control to ~841. Popescu owes about another 200 BTC, which he said he would disperse some time next week after analysing the records. Assuming he does, then bettors should be reimbursed in full by Davout.

Breaking 0.0235 is a bad sign. They may have pushed it there to knock out stops, but, unless it rallies from here, I see some significant downside now.
