2241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical analysts be like.. on: August 11, 2022, 02:53:32 PM
It is true that after a few days on observing Media technical analysts you get the gist of it and discover why wikipedia calls TA a pseudoscience.

Honestly, people should depend on their intution, Fundamentals more than on Technical, even then they have a 50-50 odds. This is why day trading is not something newbies are recommended, thinking that using TA to ace the market, is a wrong narrative used by some people trying to scam newbies.

Hence next time, do TA on your own and dont listen to others. It is even safer and better if you are buying/selling at bigger intervals, less stress on your side.
2242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange will go out of business if every Bitcoin is hold in private wallet on: August 11, 2022, 02:48:52 PM
Bitcoin is already winning the war against the centralization of Bitcoin services, and a lot of Bitcoin holders are beginning to realize the safety of their Bitcoin when it is off the exchange and kept in a private wallet. You only send real Bitcoin when you do it on a p2p level and you don't own Bitcoin when your coins are stored on an exchange all you have is just promises and not Bitcoin if your Bitcoin is on the third party exchange.
Okay, but how does that affect what you wrote in the title?

Exchanges dont thrive on the money kept on their hot wallets, but from the fees taken from the users and also from the margin and leverages. So your title makes no sense in this regard.

People in this forum though understand this concept but you have to realize that the number of users in this forum is only a small part of the total userbase served by an specific exchange.

Now if you are idea is that exchanges thrive because they "exit scam" their users, then I would disagree and ask you to get a life.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will people finally abandon Tron? on: August 11, 2022, 02:44:11 PM
It is a know fact about Tron because Tron is really a bad coin, bad tech and just hyped because of Justin Sun.
It is an ancient coin and will be replaced by better tech, still people are bag holding it.
Better get out ASAP because Tron won't be able to deliever.
I am not a bagholder of Tron and neither am I supporting any altcoin in general, however, you should not make such comments just out of hate, this is a forum for discussing about opinions, not spread hate-speech.

You could tell us why you think Tron is bad or why its tech is bad - I am sure many users would agree with you. Also what is ancient is bitcoin, not any altcoin, so you are wrong with that statement.

Because the altcoins are mostly surviving on pump and dump, dont assume every tron holder to be a big supporter of their tech or vision. Most users are looking for a quick flip to make some quick cash only. Cheesy
2244  Other / Archival / Re: Entrepreneurship or Office job? on: August 10, 2022, 08:20:37 AM
Everyone wants to be their own boss because no-one likes taking orders from someone senior - normal human nature, and that is why such contexts come into play.
One must remember that being an entrepreneur is not a cakewalk and neither is it possible by any common man. One may dream of being one but in reality people get squeezed out of that in short time periods.

So have that mindset but don't try to gamble your life and savings on such an idea. The few people whom you see as successful in such startups and all are only a small fraction of the actually huge number.

Don't be angry on your current job, who knows what life may have in store for you. For those who are in studying phase, try to get into a job that you enjoy, don't go in for the money right away.
2245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH could take over. on: August 10, 2022, 08:14:54 AM
Am I the only one seeing that ETH is decoupling from BTC? If this happens and Ethereum becomes a better target for institutional then it is finished, many altcoins depends on Ethereum but the whole market depends on BTC, what do you think will happen
Nothing special happens in such scenarios. If Eth picks up pace then the entire market will start moving upwards including bitcoin. ethereum was never coupled to btc, they are seperate and they have their own market even if the trading pair exists. On what basis are you making this statement anyway?

Of course the altcoins would also go up but don't take it for granted that eth going up means every dead altcoin will be profiting. They may crash before you get the chance to sell.

If eth is getting institutional attention good for its holders. Don't think that has anything to do with it taking over or below.
2246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing Potential projects on: August 10, 2022, 08:09:21 AM
That's not easy to identify new projects have a good potential, by do research, team roadmaps white papers, it is also not enough. Lately investors are rarely interested in new projects, if you OP want to invest in new projects my suggest it's better to hold on and monitor first progress of the project you're aiming, or more suggestions from me better invest in old projects that already have potential.
I can attest to that, if you are monitoring a project do it at least for one complete year and if possible through a bear and a bull market. Most companies do well in the start and crash down during a bear market only to never recover back again.

Hence it can a good yardstick to measure their sustainable model.

Most projects will die out in a few months or so, as far as I have seen. A few others run for a couple of years and then dry out.
2247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you think its more healthy for a project on: August 09, 2022, 09:30:10 AM
I think roadmaps is the most important thing, if the team in terms of development couldn't stay true with their roadmaps then what's the use of roadmaps.
But your second statement is true for 99% of the projects out there. Roll Eyes

Quote
Most of the time these projects that achieve success are the ones that instead did more than their promised roadmaps, and that means their project gonna grow better than promised.
Roadmaps may be delayed but that does not imply a hugely developing project but an abandoned project in a 50-50 case basis, but in crypto is ends up being the second on in 99% of cases. This is simply because here there is nothing called "investor protection". I agree to that argument that crypto is a wild west and people are responsible for their own investments ("grow up" semantics by many people) - even then a professionally done investment needs some justice.

Roadmap, Whitepaper, Tokenomics are buzzwords created by ICO owners (=scammers in disguise). This has been proven in the last 5years and therefore I recommend newbies to stay away from them.
2248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 09, 2022, 09:24:14 AM
Bitcoin is a very volatile asset and it is expected to move up and down anytime. The massive dump of bitcoin has happened many times before and it is expected because of the market cycle we are anticipating for. There are many charts all over the internet speculating where will bitcoin go and some of them are from $10k range. It's actually possible but the best thing we can do right now is to apply DCA since the market now is very uncertain.
Depending on what money you have at hand to spend, you could buy bitcoin at different levels when it is dropping and hold your horses when it is rising.

Simple and safe strategy to accumulate bitcoin with the idea to sell them at higher levels works nicely but it takes patience and the earning is gradual. Indeed, you could take more risks and speculate on the prices but one should ask themselves is that stress worth it? In most cases the answer is No.

Since the price has moved from 22k to 23k USD, I expect the bearish trend to have reduced compared to the bull trend. Therefore it is a time to keep patience and focus on markets other than crypto for active trading and just wait and watch for this one.
2249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: August 09, 2022, 09:18:24 AM
The advice I would give to newbies is not to start inventing in the market, just as they can have good luck making some successes, I do not recommend that they start gambling with trading, because they simply will not be able to win much and in the The moment they start to lose, it will be a free fall or a domino effect and the idea is to do terading knowing and having many good arguments as a base, and in case they are wrong, Loren will realize why they failed. Some of the newbies always trade thinking that what they think will happen because they just say or do randomly, and that is the least I would recommend.
Gambling with the money is never recommended for newbies, a strict no-no. This can be from taking big risks based on market movements or simply moving from Spot trading to Margin or Leverage trading. Either way is going to go South. At this point it is better to wait and see how the market moves, a bull trend has picked up, which needs to sustain.

Most newbies make this mistake and they think easy money is possible from these risky moves while in reality they end up losing more than they can make. This leads to a reluctance in trading and they start to abhor the crypto market. These are also the people who will then go around saying that bitcoin is not worth putting money in and that it is too risky to make money from. While there are risk takers who end up winners, they are not the majority of the trading population, this should be kept in mind when someone new enters the market.
2250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 08, 2022, 12:53:00 PM
Most "bounty hunters" are just a bunch of people controlling many alt accounts with the sole purpose of joining as many bounty campaigns as possible, so i don't think they care that much if one of those bounties doesn't pay or turns out to be scam.
Considering that to be true, would they not feel the "twice bitten once shy" thing? Some amount of grey cells would still be working in these assumed brain dead people that should make them question their actions and stop bounty hunting once and for all, specially after being tricked by the owners of any project to work a lot and then ignore their payment and eventually ghost them.

I can believe it might be an obsession for many to collect dust tokens worth nothing, but that would be a nice hobby in the real life, not in the internet. Lips sealed

Overall, we should stop the, do this do that before a bounty. None of them are worth your time.
2251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you think its more healthy for a project on: August 08, 2022, 12:49:00 PM
Most especially new projects do you think its healthy to rush things up or take a lot of time and gradually release updates and follow roadmaps slowly? There are some complains that most projects aren't following the exact timing on their roadmap and some even takes this is Red Flag.
Roadmaps are made to be ignored. To me all roadmaps are bullshit because none of that really matters to the outcome if the project does not have any intrinsic market making capability - that is to generate a demand for their coin. Without that no coin will ever go up and the project will eventually lose investors as they will dump after the advisors end their lock-in and cause the first big dump.

Truely speaking, this type of pump and dump markets will gradually lose its charm among investors, something that has happened with ICO and why they changed their name to IEO and so on.

It is better to just invest in well known altcoins or simply bitcoin than go for these rug pull schemes.
2252  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pishing alert: Fake EXODUS e-mail on: August 08, 2022, 12:42:04 PM
Always check the email header and if it not from any official email you can safely ignore the email and mark it as a case of spam. In this case it is very clear that the email came from a throwaway or similar and looking to scam some innocent user.

Such mass emails are very commonly done to catch that one in a hundred flock of users and in crypto this is very common. Good for you to report this but I am sure the scammers have already had their catch, since only few of these actually get reported and the scammers keep doing it over and over again because that one catch is all they need to fuel their rush of stealing money.
2253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading then switching currencies on: August 07, 2022, 01:13:20 PM
Say you owned bitcoin, and BTC went up, you sold for Ethereum which you received. Now if you use Ethereum to buy BTC, it would depend on the BTC/ETH pair and not what BTC dropped to. If this pair shows a drop in price of BTC then you are in luck, you should buy because you will received BTC higher than the amount you started with.

However this is best done with Stablecoins as the intermediary, not altcoins. Remember that trading pair is the one which is to keep note of.

Truely this is often used by traders to make money, but you have to patient and use exchanges which allow such pairs.
2254  Economy / Economics / Re: The current crypto bear could end the market. on: August 07, 2022, 01:06:34 PM
Unfortunately the market today is corrected again, I did not expect because there were many predictions that were sure that prices would reach $ 25k again, but we had to be patient again and do not panic when I saw the Red Again market, even I had put up a buying price of $ 21K at Spot Exchanges, opportunity Good to keep buying because the end of the year I will party.
Well I do hope you get to party at the year end but dont base everything on bitcoin and its price, because it will go up and down and you wont have the time to enjoy the little time you have.

Prices being corrected again at 23k shows that the bearish trends are still persisting, maybe less stronger now but they are still here. At any time we can see gradual movements towards one direction. Although I would not suggest putting in any money in a sideways market and waiting till bigger notable movements come in.

I am not expecting 25k to be reached without resistance. A lot of selling pressure can happen at that level and it might be difficult to cross.
2255  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Enter the market with a loss mindset~what you can afford to lose on: August 05, 2022, 08:45:44 AM
The point you have mentioned - about investing money - and losing it instantly is very correct. MY friend lost approx 5000$ in a jiffy.
But that is with every business - you can either be a king or you can be looser, there is hardly any middle line in it.
The losing is a lesson for many people. Those who are willing to take the risk understand gradually that taking risks is not always profitable while less risky steps are possible.

The wrong step is investing in coins that have never been known to public and then putting in a lot of money in that. Don't expect such coins to go big, you will make a mistake.

While there are people earning a lot from such risks knowing where to stop is important too.
2256  Economy / Economics / Re: The BTC price must stabilize in the long run. on: August 04, 2022, 02:35:56 PM
Introducing gradually to the journey of a coin is the right promotion step, Bitcoin takes the step to find the right format, so that today we can see how strong this coin survives in the market. Unlike Altcoin, they only pursue votality and temporary strength, but in the long run they cannot maintain, there are only two that are still strong for now, Ethereum with BNB
Bitcoin does not need any promotion, it get promoted on its own. Cheesy

The popularity of one coin does not lead to a bad outcome even when its price fluctuates, like I said the yearly volatility remains within controlled limits.

Though altcoins also see pump and dump they too remain close to this when seen on a long term scale like a year or a half. Specific altcoins might be doing better on their creators promotions, still bitcoin remains the big one.

Price remains stable in the long run, if you know how to take advantage of it. Besides without the price changes we would not have any trading happening.
2257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Borrow fiat with your Bitcoin and never sell on: August 04, 2022, 02:30:00 PM
This seems like a smarter move than to sell the Bitcoin for fiat money. If I sell, then I have to pay capital gains tax. When the cash is borrowed, there is no tax.
If you live in a country where bitcoin is openly used to buy everyday stuff then good for you, but then buying stuff will gradually end up attracting taxes too. Now you cant live without paying for your food and water, so whats the point you are trying to make? Good and services tax exist in countries.

Quote
Since I still have the Bitcoin, then I will gain when the price rises. If I only have fiat, the “price” will always go down because of inflation.
Surely you will gain, but that is a gain on paper, not in reality unless you sell. If your objective is to evade taxation by using bitcoin then you are in the wrong place.

Quote
I hope Bitcoin will eventually replace the fiat system, but until then, the market for cash favors borrowers over savers. This seems like a win-win situation.
Bitcoin has its pros and cons just like fiat, in the ideal scenario they are supposed to work complementing each other.

Quote
Does anyone else plan on doing this?
I am sure others have had "pipe-dreams" like yours before this and failed after realizing their mistake.
2258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why is bitcoin price important? on: August 03, 2022, 02:32:49 PM
The price of Bitcoin is very very important so I believe that if you don't have the value of bitcoin at home you will not try to invest into cryptocurrency so investing in cryptocurrency the most people to know the actual price to start within  it.
One can argue that bitcoin was never meant to be traded to begin with - the fact that most countries do not allow bitcoin to be used without restrictions is why the owners of bitcoin moved to other means to using their assets, namely trading and gambling.

Price of 1BTC is always 1BTC, the fiat price is only a representation of the current trades going on and their output result on the price. So keeping a tab on lower price to buy is natural for traders. For them the fiat price is important, still the actual price of a bitcoin, like I said, is fixed.

In this digital world, people are looking for digital payment gateway and for it, Bitcoin is the best choice because it is safe, secure, fast and decentralized. People can use it because it is not complex and it can help in different way. People are holding it for future and many people are using it as investment.
We have not reached that extent that every shop carries a bitcoin POS machine, it will take time to reach that level. But saying that it is not complex, is not justified. For a new entrant, bitcoin is way complex to secure and to understand how to use.
2259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Forex trading a good way of making money ? on: August 03, 2022, 02:28:01 PM
Any market can give you profit, especially if you already know how to trade and with Forex its really possible. The good thing here is that, we have the general rules in trading, what works in crypto trading can also work in Forex, maybe you just need to adjust the timeline but it is still same in principles. Trading with forex might become more risky, don’t jump in if you still have no confidence on trading, better to learn first especially with forex.
Yeah I dont think your last time would make much sense to the OP or people making similar statements like the OP, because they are here for the quick gains and not for learning how to trade with skills taking their time.

The reality of people losing money in things like forex or people jumping from one market to another is that they are frustrated with the bearish trend on one and want to get more greens on their charts. This shows the lack of patience and the inability to become a pro-trader in either of the markets.

Definitely learning a new type of trading is good thing. But for such people it is far from learning something new, but only about making money and thats why they get it wrong.
2260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about altcoin market on: August 03, 2022, 02:24:41 PM
Today a lot of altcoins are skyrocketing, the new coin that I keep, namely Optimism, continues to skyrocket, I regret selling Optimism too quickly, and the rest that I still save will be used as a long-term investment, I believe in 2022 the price of Optimism can reach at least $ 10.
Well you never know which coin is going to go big. So good luck on that seeing it through. In my opinion, altcoins should be sold to cover the cost of investment once feasible and then the rest of the coins should be kept at hand for future profits.

You never know what can happen with a specific altcoin. Traders who are new to altcoins often over-estimate their price movements and end up holding them way longer than they should have. By that time the bigger investors move out and the price drops suddenly and then recovery become pain in the rear.

Which is why the altcoin market should be traded with caution and only by veterans who are willing to take the risk. While a coin is much above ATH, sell and book profit dont wait on holding it.
