Rand Paul has best week ever with anti NSA rulingIn truth, the U.S. Constitution and Edward Snowden had the best week ever with a federal ruling against NSA bulk collection, but we’ll let things slide by giving Rand Paul the credit. After all, it’s good click bait these days. Scroll down to see the full original court documents. Now, they’re saying it’s illegal in that Section 215 of the PATRIOT Act doesn’t authorize that—that the government has gone too far—I think that’s a good first step. We want the Supreme Court to eventually rule on whether this is Constitutional or not. Our main complaint, or one of our main arguments is, the Fourth Amendment says you have to name the person who you want to get a warrant—but not naming anyone and putting “Mr. Verizon” down and saying you can get the records of millions of people, you’re not writing a specific warrant.
You’re writing a generalized warrant. This is one of the things that we fought against that the British were doing to us. James Otis famously argued in court that the writs of assistance that the British were using were non-specific and didn’t use the person’s name—and so we wrote the Fourth Amendment to try to stop this kind of stuff. I guess it’s gratifying that the courts are beginning to recognize the problem. We are anticipating and eager for this to get to the Supreme Court. http://iroots.org/2015/05/07/rand-paul-has-best-week-ever-with-anti-nsa-ruling/

If the idea is to truly beat Hillary then the script would be to glow Rand's numbers so all the eyeglass wearing, social security sopping folks that allowed the republicans to become the party of spending just a little less, see who's their Ace. Too bad this Ace is truly a problem for the DC political class on both sides.

They've started already. Looks like we know who Fox News is pushing for this election season.
crap
I would say that they are trying to make it look like a certainty that Hilary will be the democratic candidate and that they want to have a "anyone but Hillary" campaign. They don't seem to be backing anyone specific from the Republicans, or maybe I am completely misreading this! When posting polls, who tends to be listed first? Yeah, it's assumed that when images/polls are shown that the first one (mentioned) is the most predominantly perceived/viewed and thus they're trying to drive the point home. In this case, which they probably flashed for a short time that the aging viewing audience was able to see, the point was to list a 1,2,3,4 kinda thing and then offer some commentary while changing the footage w/o truly discussing the results so the 'respectable' Fox watcher (as they likely think of themselves) could internalize the obvious.

The facts are coming in and it's obvious that this initial ETF or whatever it is, is causing a bullish mindset in onlookers and will only increase when COIN comes to play. And, this is w/o any of these or the others coming on board imminently, stirring any demand or bullish fervor. We're gonna need the roof to be raised soon.
That's right I said it, and "bringing it back" also if you haven't heard it in awhile/decade.

Lot's of educated, intelligent posters chiming in in the latter parts of this thread which I figured would happen sooner as this one became a nuisance and an insult to visionaries of sound and like minds. It's great when the knowledgeable come back into an environment and lend a hand to the education aspect. Bullish times of sorts ahead and perhaps more, indeed.

Very positive day for GBTC, kindly and aggressively building upon itself day by day during the first week of active service. I wonder if this is the premonition that Barry was alluding to in his ''promising another bubble'' tweet.. Nutcase sure was active today so I'm puzzled who set that creep in motion on such a day.

Just finished viewing the show and what a great one it is! It really encapsulates quite well the strengths of the business model of having the fund/platform providing liquidity to brokers and more as it expands in time. Your commentary provided extra life and insight to the slides which is very helpful. Top notch team too. May the wind be at your back while pitching to fiat investors as well coming up.

In a little-noticed brief filed last summer, lawyers for the House of Representatives claimed that an SEC investigation of congressional insider trading should be blocked on principle, because lawmakers and their staff are constitutionally protected from such inquiries given the nature of their work. The legal team led by Kerry W. Kircher, who was appointed House General Counsel by Speaker John Boehner in 2011, claimed that the insider trading probe violated the separation of powers between the legislative and executive branch. In 2012, members of Congress patted themselves on the back for passing the STOCK Act, a bill meant to curb insider trading for lawmakers and their staff. “We all know that Washington is broken and today members of both parties took a big step forward to fix it,” said Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, upon passage of the law. But as the Securities and Exchange Commission made news with the first major investigation of political insider trading, Congress moved to block the inquiry. ... https://firstlook.org/theintercept/2015/05/07/congress-argues-cant-investigated-insider-trading/

Interesting that this GBTC thing is all situated and having a year behind the original shareholders when it appears this market may be turning a new leaf. Coincidence?

Tarmi and his little buddy seem to be missing in action lately. I wonder if they still believe in their holy grail of doom or are contemplating covering the skinnies soon.

GOP consultant on hot seat over Rand Paul attack Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and senior Republican officials are calling out a GOP firm that worked on a seven-figure ad campaign lashing Rand Paul over his foreign policy views. The problem? The firm’s co-founder is also working for a McConnell-backed super PAC that’s defending the GOP Senate majority in 2016, when Paul is also on the Senate ballot in Kentucky. Last month, the Republican firm Black Rock Group was hired to do communications work for the Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America, which bombarded Paul with a $1 million ad campaign calling him “dangerous” because of his positions on Iran. But Black Rock’s co-founder, Carl Forti, also works as the political director for American Crossroads, which has formed the Senate Leadership Fund, a McConnell-backed super PAC. The awkward situation of Forti’s firm being paid to promote a political attack on Paul — while also trying to keep GOP senators like Paul in office — has prompted strong reactions in GOP circles. Q & A coming up in a few hours, look back over the OP for details. If you're curious about whether this is legit or not, here's your opportunity if you're looking to invest in something. I'm unaware of any other such presentation in the past.

If in fact this one will be an epic thread starting a new era/trend then there should be a price for admission. ~2900 volume so far today (...)
GBTC Volume now 4905 5905 Should've opened up the quote page rather than just add up the captioned showing I guess. Wow, things really are heating up quite well.

If in fact this one will be an epic thread starting a new era/trend then there should be a price for admission. ~2900 volume so far today at respectable prices and it's just about lunch time on Wall St. Now, up over $241.

As much as I don't trust her I would marry that rich bitch because she is super rich and I need money
I can't call it respectable but your thoughts aren't decent at this point. Hillary wants hot women like most men do yet you want a moral disgrace and privilege to the high life when it's only for Bill's taking.
