2261  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] bitcoinmixer.org is a SCAM on: July 28, 2020, 05:39:52 AM
I tried using this website for small amount of transactions and I didn't encounter issues or any problem.

But I guess when it comes to big transactions like this there are so many problems that you encounter, Maybe because of its a good opportunity to scam since its a big amount. I'm not going to use this mixer again.
2262  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin & altcoins? on: July 27, 2020, 07:07:43 PM
It was already months that Bitcoin has been struggling to reach the next level ($10,000). There is no a clear sign that Bitcoin continues rising up or declining its price in the near future. Now, some altcoins can increase their prices more than Bitcoin. Some people stated that it may be the bullish time for altcoins. While others still doubted it, and they claimed it is only about temporary pump done by whales. Well, what do you think about this, guys?

I think it was just normal in the market, and in the past year, we know bitcoin movement and volatility.

It doesn't really matter if what these guys are thinking since they are not really going to affect the market price of bitcoin, But still altcoins could still be profitable even at this day you just need to be careful of what altcoins you are going to invest to.

Just be patient you cannot assume in the price of bitcoin but it is always possible to pump at any time.
2263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: July 26, 2020, 07:00:19 PM
I guess it does make sense putting small taxes in bitcoins or in a transaction but probably it would not happen directly in the bitcoin transaction but in the companies or the bitcoin wallet.

But probably it's a bad idea at this time as bitcoin is not yet completely implemented all over the world if the country already exposed in bitcoin or already uses it as an asset it might work with taxes.
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin doesn't reach $500K in 3 years.... on: July 26, 2020, 06:08:35 PM
After 3years was like ..... Cool Cool

There is a high chance that this is not going to happen and probably just going to be a meme, After 3 years we are all ranting online about John Mcafee and tagging him in his post  Grin.

I guess this is just for the hype so that a lot of investors will be interested in cryptocurrency.
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 26, 2020, 05:01:47 PM
Deception in the guise of Bitcoin is spreading. The most recent and most extensive case is through hacking of a number of famous celebrity Twitter accounts on Wednesday, July 15, 2020. Hackers offer a Bitcoin giveaway from those accounts. So, what are some ways to protect yourself from this mode of crime?

The perpetrators may launch social-based attacks (social engineering) against Twitter employees. Hackers access Twitter's internal systems and devices, and thus successfully tweet the Bitcoin giveaway.
For example the Kanye West account which was also hacked. The famous US musician is "tweeting" he will duplicate the Bitcoin sent to his Bitcoin address. With common logic, it is unlikely that anyone would give free money in the form of Bitcoin, without any veiled intentions.

No one will give you free money, not even Bill Gates. If it sounds too sweet, then it's certainly not true, especially in cyberspace.

Probably you just need knowledge and experience in bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and investment.

When you already have this thing it will lower your chances of getting scam and probably you will never get scam again. Your right no one is going to give you free money there are probably things that you need to do in order to earn a profit, so if something is sketchy about an investment like this giveaway it was probably a trap and don't fall to it.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: July 26, 2020, 04:31:08 PM
Addressing the future, cryptocurrency such as bitcoin should be taught in schools. This is why I did innovate a basic strategy as my research to used base numbers in cryptographic algorithm.

However, the computer is there to compute the numbers. But still, learners should be able to know the manual computation and how it increase and decrease according to its equivalent value.

In addition, this will make the new evolution of numbers of Mathematics.

I guess there is no need to understand the deep or advanced bitcoin things, I believed that bitcoin is really needed to be taught in schools since it is a great technology and in the future, this has so much potential of becoming a part of our society.

Learning some kind of mathematics about bitcoin is I think too advanced unless your planning to be kind of analyst, you just need basic knowledge about bitcoin and teach it in schools so that a lot of people could potentially use bitcoin and at the same time expose to it.
2267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SCAM OR NOT? on: July 26, 2020, 04:10:34 PM
Some one help. I bought /invested 500 in Bitcoin with someone I was told I would receive my return in 7 days after after which I was then told I had to a 1000 for profit withdrawal fee. This took 5 days to reflect in my coinbase wallet at which time I forwarded the funds. Now I'm asked to send another 1000 for a Crypto receiving allowance Fee before I receive my return. I have not sent it.

Do you mean 500 bitcoin? Well sorry for your loss.

I think this is a typical investment scam in bitcoin, and it's obviously a scam if someone is inviting you to invest in some websites. For sure you might want to invest in websites that is already trusted by the community you should do some research about it or even here in the forum.

You already lost what you invested don't send another fund because for sure you're going to get scam again.
2268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Clicking Links Malware/Keylogger Question on: July 26, 2020, 02:10:10 PM
I heard many cases where people download wrong wallet or click links and then your wallets get hacked whether its a wallet on their computer or on their phone.  Even when i watch youtube videos, you see some ppl on comments section post links where if you click on it... you can get malware/virus.  I seen some ppl say their phone got virus because of clicking on that.

Now i have a few questions on this.

1.  If you use an iphone and not android, you can still get hacked/malware/keylogger on it?  Imagine you download an app on the app store which is not legit.  So your phone can get hacked and keylogger etc?  I heard this can happen with android with the google play but what about IOS with iphone?  So that means if you check your email, that hacker has access to your entire device?  I always heard you can't or its so hard to get malware on iphones as oppose to androids.  Is this true or false?  Obviously dont click on links like that but if you do, is any wallet you have on your iphone in jeopardy?  What about using it in general because when you log in accounts on your phone, are you screwed because of keylogger?  I heard pc... well you are screwed.

2.  Now when you click on links on your pc that uses windows... obviously same thing.  But say you want to sign up for a site... say its a gambling site whether its poker or sports or anything like that.  I know there are ppl that want to sign you up and you can then get something extra because you used an agent/affliate and you have to click on their link to get tracked to them.  Now how safe is that?  If that affliate is legit... well you dont have to worry if they have lot of players.  But couldnt they easily put keylogger/malware on it and you are screwed?  Is there a way to check if a link you will click on from someone is safe from keylogger/malware/virus before you click on it?

'

I guess iPhone could still be a hack but compared to android it is less vulnerable since it is not open source most of the applications in the iPhone are already filtered and probably you cant install applications from its storage that came from the internet.

I guess it is easy to get some malware or virus in a PC window since there are so many malicious links that you are exposed to, also when a virus application is already install in your computer it could pretty much run in the background of the computer like keylogger.
2269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remembering the earily days of mining... on: July 26, 2020, 01:32:38 PM

Edit 1: I dunno how to paste the image on the page so I guess you might need to click on it. Sorry.

It's really a tough investment doing mining since there are so many things that you need to consider before starting mining.

You don't actually know if your going to earn a good amount of profit or is it really worth it doing mining, you need to consider some things like your country if you are in a tropical country I thing it is not recommended to start mining since the hardware is going to produce a lot of heat, and getting overheat is one of the causes of the hardware to easily break. Also now that even small miners cannot earn a profit because of the bitcoin halving.
2270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do hackers steal huge amounts of bitcoins? on: July 25, 2020, 06:37:57 PM
I was reading about Cashaa, that was hacked and 336BTC were stolen. But the hacker can't move them right? He will leave footprints. So why should hackers steal them since they can be found? For example if they want to convert them to fiat.

The only way I think you could get by from this felony is to keep them on very long term. So long that it may be forgotten. But still, it may.

I guess transactions could be traced in the blockchain and you could probably trace it the scam funds are already moved somewhere.

But I guess they could easily use some bitcoin mixer to hide every transaction and also even if the transaction could be trace probably we don't really know the locations of this scammers, they are probably not in your country so it's gonna difficult to find them and report them to the authorities so they are just going to continue hacking bitcoin if it is easy to earn some bitcoin in there.

2271  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase is not safe! on: July 25, 2020, 05:56:58 PM
Coinbase has full regulatory bank status in cryptocurrency. They watch your every move and regulate transaction and can block transactions to blacklisted addresses and exchanges. If you want any level of financial freedom that crypto can provide, stay away from Coinbase.

Probably giving your information to these companies always have its risk and for a lot of users, it's a big deal giving this information so they just sticking to some wallet that doesn't have KYC.

Exchange like coinbase could always freeze your account because they are centralized but i guess they are licensed so their are small chance of really encountering problems.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Illegal mass adoption on: July 25, 2020, 05:09:49 AM
A man in California has agreed to plead guilty to operating an illegal bitcoin ATM network that exchanged up to $25 million, according to a U.S. Department of Justice announcement on Wednesday.

Kais Mohammad, 36, who goes by the digital moniker  “Superman29,” was charged in the United States District Court on three counts: for operating an unlicensed money exchange business, for money laundering and for not being able to maintain an effective anti-money laundering program.

He purchased Bitcoin ATM-type kiosks which were placed in malls, gas stations and convenience stores in several California counties. These kiosks allowed customers to buy and sell Bitcoin in exchange for cash. Mohammad supplied the machines with cash that customers could withdraw and maintained the server software to keep the kiosks running

We live in amazing times. To be honest, this is the first time I've heard about illegal Bitcoin ATMs. Now Muhammad can get 30 years in prison for illegal mass adoption.

I wonder what will happen to ATMs and what is their number, I hope the state will appropriate it and allow people to use them with reduced commissions.  Grin

I guess you could just put a bitcoin ATM at anyplace  Grin, and sure no one is going to notice if it is a legitimate ATM or a licensed one.

Until someone from the government probably inspects the ATM and find out that it is not registered. Might be a clever way to do some money laundering and scam some bitcoin from the community.

its a shining gold for authorities these days since they already know how much money there is in BTC. it would be noticed and it gets unlucky if the undercover proves the business is illegal. its fascinating how much he had achieved though with no legal documents to his business.

don't you think his business could turn into legal if the guy has a christian name like JAMES than Mohammad?

Grin

I think even here in my countries something like this could easily be executed.

You could just put this fake ATM at some small businesses and probably you could just pay them a small fees to put ATM near in small business.

Even some legitmate ATM could easily be find anywhere so nobody really is going to doubt it if it is registered or not.
2273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: July 24, 2020, 08:18:25 PM
Bitcoin is a currency started by developers that were interested in the idea of sending online payment without a central authority that would check the accounts. The idea and the whole thing (with Satoshi Nakamoto, blockchain technology etc) inspired many people to use it. And some of them, worked on it. Due to this big adoption and fixed supply, bitcoin went to moon. At least for a while, but it did. And right now it is high as well.

Well, do we need it? Because, I can see that people use it only as an investment or as a money laundering tool. Black markets rebornt after the creation of bitcoin. I tried to convince someone to use it, but you know what? I couldn't. Why? Well, honest people don't afraid the central authority, in addition with the dishonest ones. Those who want something that is illegal, cannot do that. So they use bitcoin.

Governments don't want it and they wish they could prevent it, because they cannot track you easily, they cannot tax you, they ..., they ..., they...
Governments like censorship, and there is 0% censorship on bitcoin.

I like bitcoin, a lot. But I don't think that this world needs it. Except if they want to hide something. Prove me wrong.

The world definitely can live without Bitcoin. A lot of countries could just stick in physical money and still continue to grow its economy without this bitcoin technology.

But bitcoin is already a great asset and could really help a lot of countries in a lot of ways, we are doing adaptation so that a lot of countries is going to realize that bitcoin technology is really big help and makes things easier like doing transactions, etc.

2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: July 23, 2020, 07:09:05 PM
In corona Pandemic, I have no job to earn. So I am joining several campaigns from bitcointalk?

What are you doing now?

You cant really earn in the campaign here in bitcointalk since you still have a low rank.

I think there are some ways you could earn some money even at the pandemic, you could check out some online jobs in your community, also if you have a skill you could offer some of your services here in bitcointalk and at the same time online. It's really hard to earn since their are some places that are under lockdown but I think you could find a lot of jobs online.

2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 22, 2020, 07:40:27 PM
Can someone make it trading only altcoins?

In my experience in trading altcoins in the market, I think you could earn a decent amount of profit in a day.

With just trading altcoin daily if you have good capital you could earn hundreds of dollar if your lucky in your trading but probably it is not always gonna be a good day.

It might be risky so investing in cryptocurrency but it is possible to make a living in trading alone.
2278  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 07:34:51 PM
People should have much more healthy approach to cryptocurrencies than "get rich quick" and should use bitcoin even if it was going to take 100 years to break ATH again.

Only then the whole system makes sense, otherwise, even if Bitcoin was not meant to be a Ponzi Scheme and obviously is not a Ponzi Scheme, it is actually approached by many "investors" as Ponzi Scheme and they hope to be at the bottom of it. That is simply wrong.

If different crypto news stopped speculating about the price all the time it would be beneficial for the quality of the whole crypto sphere.
If people stopped being obsessed by the price, it would be good too.

This is an honest call to everyone to start treating this great invention as it's meant to be - digital money. Including crypto news websites and youtubers who think that putting higher expected bitcoin price in the title will bring more clicks (and sadly, it usually does).

One says 1 million USD in 1 year, another says 10 million USD and so on... stop it, please. You are doing it wrong.

Investing in bitcoin is a big risk, so you can't really expect the price of bitcoin to reach ATH.

It might probably be going to take a long time before it reaches ATH and almost all of the investor of bitcoin doesn't really have an idea if it's going to happen so they are risking their money investing in bitcoin.

Still, a lot of investors are making a lot of profit because of the volatility of the market price you just need to believe in it and invest.

Hi, I had a file called "ap.js" and I replaced it with another file called "ap.js". Is there any way to get the old file back?

I think your gonna need to download some third-party applications that recover deleted/overwritten files.

I'm not sure but this is what I do when I accidentally deleted important files in my computer I downloaded applications that recover deleted files but depending on your storage unprioritized files would be a lot and it would difficult to find a single file when recovering. Also, some of this application are paid but I guess you could find some that are free to use, you could always find tutorials in youtube.
