2261  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hope this Bitcoin dip won't be deeper? on: December 03, 2022, 11:04:24 PM
Impossible to say right now but the ominious sign despite current rises in price action is that the 50 day moving average is declining which means be on guard for future resets.  We cannot say if those resets will be deflected and minor in their effect but Im quite certain they will occur and register some negative and selling, makes sense there is a beginning and tail end to any event.
I drew the uptrend at present in at 16.5k and if we cannot maintain that level even under duress then I think we have develop further downwards once again.

and I don't see it changing.

That would be the problem then, you have to develop some foresight beyond current negativity.   Everything you said is fair but will it always be this way no, sentiment will change and its often been the case that is how we unfold news.    Separate the reaction from the actual lasting impact because FTX is the same mistakes of a centralized site not the protocol so BTC has had far worse even if the graph is bad its relative to rising dollar etc.

South Korea are pretty unlucky at the same time because they have become the opponent of Brazil in this round.

They have to face them at some point presumably and they were lucky to get through to meet them, a very fine pass vs Uruguay.    Take the bull by the horns might be best and perhaps they will pass if Brazil fail to respect South korea for their achievements to get this fare.
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 02, 2022, 11:12:45 PM
Its easier to form bad habits at an early age so its a dangerous path for someone young to take.  Its also possible they could be ok also  though thats controversial to say and in any case its illegal to allow such gambling and should be avoided in all cases.   If nothing else someone young doesn't have proper cashflow or likely good regular income so its not a smart idea to be spending money you don't have.

The biggest point that has to be made on a thread with this subject is the propagation of gambling via in mainstream game transactions and micro buying within 'childrens' games (obviously all age groups play games).  Its a grey area but as I've seen it up close alot I would classify it as gambling, it can result in a problem habit imo its basically exploitative by the companies vs a very young audience.   I think that's by far the biggest most widespread issue rather then access to casinos specifically.

Reminds me of tennis where they've had this dilemma for years, the general rule being that if it touches the line then the ball remains in play.  I can definitely see the confusion but if they are literally tracking the exact coordinates of the ball this time with the latest tech then its not seriously up for debate, its matching with the line enough that it was not out.    Sometimes it comes down to tiny fractions of distance that matters and it was just one of those times, the photo isnt as accurate but I can see how this is one of those times.

And to say the truth this whole world cup's results are pretty strange.

The circumstances are pretty different too, I can never remember a December world cup set of games not in my lifetime anyway.    Theres various other reasons, France loses to Tunisa but they fielded a B team to save the energy of the main players apparently so that was why.  Devil is in the detail.
2266  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC's market price go? on: December 02, 2022, 08:59:15 PM
Topics like this are the good guidance for crowd sentiment, when we have a page full of when 100k?  then be on your best guard because we can take fall with such lack of doubt we may more easily trip.     When the page is full of its the end of the world, all hope is gone there is nothing but negative reflecting then ironically seller exhaustion can occur just as it also becomes most apparent and see through; worn out we may become bullish then.
I still think it'll take time to transform and things like the moving average will be gaining not losing so reflecting a change in momentum.   When all those factors align we click into place a change in gear and may more easily ascend.
2267  Economy / Economics / Re: White House announces $13B to modernize the US power grid on: December 02, 2022, 01:25:46 AM
The UK nuclear plan to clear 2030 is based on modular design and multiple instances spread around the country.  So not infrastructure exactly but distributed small scale plants over the prior large nuclear sites which were so gigantic it spanned possibly a half century in its project length.     I certainly think any modern country has to be dynamic and flexible and if thats possible in USA it needs to be done, it relates to job growth and opportunities across the nation not just the most populous states and cities.
Theres few times I will argue in favor of large government programs but if it helps to reduce inequality in things like power distribution its probably a necessity that it occurs sooner rather then later.   One of the cross over points to BTC is that it can utilize cheap power in various spots across a nation to provide a tradable market, I dont know how to best describe it but its definitely a related subject.  Its true in China Europe, USA possible everywhere, power has great transmission losses so its a repeatable phenomenon the ability to distribute evenly is a challenge.
2268  Economy / Gambling / Re: Time bonus paid etc. on: December 01, 2022, 11:12:20 PM
Did the Fun token bet for Nov get Paid out because it says it did and I guessed right but it says zero.   Forgot if it lags or not and it'll correct later but it says paid hence my confusion. no big deal I didnt bet alot I forgot for most of the month to look so didnt add tons just bet month start on a long short.  Figured it'd give me a time bonus boost thing probably.
It says 48hr so just jumping the gun I guess.

Yea this a good action right now, the sharpest rallys occur during bearish settings is the phrase I often hear traders quote in that much agility is needed to stay on top of it and not be thrown.  I think we're safe enough until 18k area where a few moving averages come in but also a confluence of resistance.  Its all possibilities, of course I hope we storm through all res to 20 then 30k but really I expect hesitations at various 'fences' to any bull move Tongue

We're at November end, the FUN token price bet was a good one this month.   I'll watch action December start to get a better idea of how positive we are but typically I expect us to be range bound and similarly bets fair to reflect that.

2270  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: November 30, 2022, 11:50:47 PM
Invest over speculate is the idea of securing capital long term vs the risk  of inflation and future costs unknown.   So speculation risk often runs to extremes and its usually a short term consideration but investment is the idea of hedging against things that can hurt a persons living budget like energy costs rising etc.
I do think we have a commodity boom over the next decade or more which will be apparent in rising costs for most people,  USA has alot of energy but not every country does and it can be a problem to even the strongest nation as Germany is finding out.    Play for security not just immediate speculative opportunities is my idea of good planning.
2271  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC, more closer bullish days ahead. on: November 30, 2022, 11:01:58 PM
Acting very well so far within this range, we even have the 50 day average not that far away.   The 50 day is descending and I would like for it to be gaining to have proper confidence but having price action trading above these measure weekly into 50 day would be good to see for an optimistic end to 2022 despite all the troubles we've been through.
Be more optimistic at the bottom prices then the top, hard as it might be its worth looking for gains like we are seeing right now.  18- 20k is quite critical but right now I think we can arrive at that window at least if not succeed first time to pass through it properly.
2272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis and Charting on: November 30, 2022, 08:23:41 AM
A short is a future order to buy, thats the way I'd prefer to look at it.  Ironically the buyers who come in at the bottom when its not expected might well be the shorts closing out.
Anyhow I would guess now is the time to short, its all ironic and we reached something of a low for the moment quite possibly.   Sellers can become exhausted and that is a time to dig for whatever optimism possible and vice versa, the short would come in when people are people too hopeful vs prospects.    Short is normally a brief time frame, its higher risk.
I think BTC is building quite well right now its demonstrated good health since the lows, my target upside to solidify that gain as something genuine is 18k where we would be passing a monthly average.  Considering everything to be able to hold that level would be quite significant.

Gauge strength, progress by the low to high on 9th Nov  NYC time.
2273  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Agriculture Investment - Public School Grows $50k in Wheat on: November 30, 2022, 07:41:26 AM
One bad hailstorm and the whole lot could be lost, farming isnt easy but I can believe its good profits when it all goes right including the market.  Wheat is being burned in conflicted countries and of course weather the eternal dice roll is never going to be perfect every year but nice they got such a good result.  If it were a business they would have to invest the money made in good times to cover the absolute losses also possible.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: November 29, 2022, 11:58:52 PM
Dont put it all in one bet, sometimes its the side bet which works out not your accumulator especially.  Have to expect the multis to be a special occasion not the norm unless you are a genius.    Try to layer it a bit more, half or split the bet a few different ways and only have a third on your original idea.    All or nothing is a hard road to go, simple fast to bet perhaps but I prefer a whole sequence of bets so I do at least  win back my stake money, if not the win I hoped for.
2275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin December price on: November 29, 2022, 11:32:39 PM
I think neutral to negative drift but today the action has been positive above 16k.   If we continue to trade above 16k it will have been a higher low which for the moment is good movement.   Overall further out I dont think we easily gain more to get back into the 20k area and above.    We are likely to repeat in this area with some taking profits on that small gain we've seen off the lows.  More time required, the wider market doesnt appear too negative which helps also.

Fiat is not losing value

Almost always in recent years currency is losing value.  Inflation is first reflected in an expansion of the monetary base far beyond any natural GDP growth in that country.  If there is more money available then its a given the price to describe goods will rise.   The only things that's saved us recently have been gains from efficiency and technology especially, also most QE programs have been involved with long dated bonds which stores a problem up for later but eventually its completely possible multiple western currencies will collapse to zero value.
It should be an exaggeration to say we will see value of common currency reach zero but its quite possible and it would be prudent to treat the risk as real.  I think Japan and the YEN is most near term candidate for collapse but I would also argue the ECB and Euro have problems unfold and could see the end of those systems of worth.  It will bring great upset, deflation is possible which typically raises the value of serviceable money but its not just one but many currencies which can fail imo.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 28, 2022, 11:59:18 PM
Everyones a winner if you keep the BTC and it rises, Ive won just by gambling but forgetting it was a balance I still had spare.  The casino kept it for me a couple years and BTC went up alot, that effect though its long term is a nice one.   This why I emphasise any method to play that has longevity, luck plays out over a longer time frame then we imagine and sometimes that night wont be yours so handle it and move on dont try to turn the tide of bad luck in one night is good advice.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Favorite Casino Games with a Buy-In feature on: November 28, 2022, 11:44:13 PM
I prefer getting the special bonus feature to a game naturally through good luck even if randomly that leaves me without sometimes.  I know the buy-in is convenient and definetly an attractive option to take and save alot of hassle but I also literally like feeling like its a win just to trip the bonus round feature even thats really not the case the bonus can end without any great reward.  Its part of the game, I dont want to take the short cut though if Im short of patience I might change my mind also.

I dont think Trump is a believer in free trade and the general benefits to free capitalism, supposedly he might be right wing capitalist but purely wanting a bias for your country is something else closer to nationalism and large government same old deal we've had forever; doesnt work as governments constantly lose money and mismanage economic growth.
Comparative advantage is what works without any required false bias just the basic idea of each area of the world making the best most efficient goods they can and trading equally for a mutual benefit, thats the future we all benefit from not ever increasing politics and the cost from that.

store of value, has experienced significant real losses

It doesnt lose anything, unlike some commodities there is no decay possible but I understand some expect consistent performance especially vs borrowed money.   None of that is going to fit gold which has no yield or any intention in that way, its all external including the price itself which is variance in the value of dollar.   Considering Dollar going back to the eighties is including interest rates of 15% and if that occurs now the national debt cannot be paid.    Holding gold is like insurance, its not done to a profit but to prevent the absolute worst case scenario and sadly thats a long term possible for more then a couple of the world's major economies.
2280  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 28, 2022, 10:28:28 PM
I think we have a retest approaching, presuming we dont recover both the 2 day and weekly averages.  At present it seems to be drifting towards the rocky shores of prior lows, 15800 roughly and if it doesnt clear that area soon and with some confidence then the situation would develop negatively from there at least near term.
