2261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you prefer to get your used hardware from? on: September 27, 2013, 04:18:55 PM
I normally get it from ebay.  Smiley

Ebay is reliable and less hassles then Craigslist....Craigslist can be a headache at time, some people are crazy on there....LMAO
2262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post Pictures and Mining Rig Info. Just for the heck of it..... on: September 27, 2013, 04:16:36 PM
(Don't mine the SSD sticker, it's from my Win8 Pro Rig with a SSD...LOL)

But I can see you actually got HDD instead of SSD in your rig??  Huh

I transferred my PSU from my gaming rig that has a OCZ SSD right now...lol....Plan to either put a small SSD in the mining rig or run linux BAMT on USB in the near future....
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Where do you prefer to get your used hardware from? on: September 27, 2013, 04:14:36 PM
Most of the stuff I got is from Craigslist and friends upgrading, giving me a good deal. Personally, Craigslist is 50/50, some people over value their items and/or back out on a deal the last minute. But I prefer through friends and some times Craigslist, occasionally ebay.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Startup Lite Coin mining on: September 27, 2013, 04:07:27 PM
I've been doing BTC mining for some time now. I was wondering if someone could tell me if there's a GUI miner for Lite coin? and if any mining pools exist for litecoin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guiminer Scrypt: http://guiminer.org/guiminer-scrypt.html

I would suggest mining other scrypt base coins, as Litecoin isn't as profitable per hash rate and difficulty. Then converting to LTC or BTC.

I know there's a post like this in Bitcoin Mining Hardware section, but want to get one started here for the Alternate Currencies.

2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrity Coins on: September 27, 2013, 03:41:50 PM
Unless the celebrity pitches it themselves and there's a unique technology and/or services behind, then maybe yes. If some does make one without a celebrity consent, can possibly get a lawsuit.

No different then the stock market or any structure model like that. Just got to know the trends and some times just be lucky also.

There's a couple guys working on a TIX poker room as we speak

What kind of poker: Hold'em, Stud, etc? Still patiently waiting for TIX to be on an exchange market.. Cool....Hopefully Cryptsy takes it.... Huh

Hold'em is all I think they are doing for now, could be more, though. Not totally sure, all the gambling sites are 3rd party so I'm never quite sure what they are up to in the background

I believe the site will be altholdem.com

I prefer Hold'em, hopefully it is.....Great to see a blockchainer viewer for TIX.....What Nfactor will TIX be when GPU mining is 40% or less efficient?

Not sure what you're asking here, but everytime it shifts it will be roughly 28% loss of current GPU efficiency

For example, Nfactor=8129, etc....Or is the GPU efficiency loss variable and/or time length dependant, ie certain date it drop another set %?...It's been about 3 days with the 26%~30% drop....

The .txt and .bat in the rar are incorrect. The correct numbers for your .bat are: --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1379622160
If you don't change them, you will get all rejects on all pools. Updating the google drive rar tonight. Sorry

TIX is a unique crypto currency being the only scrypt-jane with random block rewards for the first several hundred thousand blocks. It is a collective effort of several prominent developers that have experience both creating and maintaining networks for coins. Not only does this provide solid coding for the coin itself, but also the knowledge and experience to keep the network going and patch any issues, should they arise.

The development team will remain anonymous at this point, but will continue to monitor and maintain both the code and network better than any other developer or development team can. Our team is comprised of individuals that are responsible for no fewer than 20 coins currently being exchanged. Mine and trade with confidence of instant transactions knowing that this coin is backed by the best, and only the best. We don’t want this coin to succeed based on our reputations of releasing very solid and profitable coins. This one will speak for itself!

Do you have plans to make a website and/or blockchain viewer? Just curious. Hopefully Cryptsy will put TIX one of the markets, BTC or LTC. What will the Nfactor be when GPU mining will drop 30% or more?

I think there is wrong config attached. You should rather use:

Code:
--Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1379622160

taken from coin source code:
Code:
int64 nChainStartTime = 1379622160;
Wink

Feeleep, do you have a working Linux GPU miner for TIX? Thanks for the pool. Working great.

I'm surprised the miner even worked with the wrong number. Sorry everyone I don't know how I got the wrong one in there

Was that number for another coin? So you produced the TIXMiner?

Well I just edited one of the 59 cpr miners. I don't know where I got that number from or why it worked so long though usually it has to match the nstarttime to even work.  That wrong number isn't from CPR either. Not sure where I got it from now...

It's all good, at least it was a minor issue. What was CPR's Nfmin, Nfmax and StartT? I might mine it again for the heck of it...LOL

Guess, should have looked at the source code first before assuming the network problem...LOL

Yup, that's the issue....Working great again....Thanks...This needs to be spread to all the pools...

It's not a pool issue, though. It's a GPU miner issue. I'll get it updated as soon as I get back to my miners. Cell phone teamviewer right now  Sad

Good to know it was something trivial and nothing major. Just a simple update to the configs in the miner, less then 10 seconds....LOL

Thanks. Not sure how we got the wrong start time in it, or why the miner even worked for so long with the wrong number lol but that seems to have fixed it. It's always the simplest, most obvious answers that get overlooked  Wink

Stats look to be a little off on the coinmine.pl pool, but I'm getting shares accepted and regular payouts.
Just FYI.

just tried mining and everything seems to be OK... maybe you use incorrect miner?

Myself, I'm using the TIXMiner mentioned on post #1 and it was working fine until today. What scrypt-jane miner are you using and what's your settings?
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TIX] Lottery Tickets | Random Block Reward | Scrypt Jane | Now on 4 sites on: September 25, 2013, 09:48:27 AM
did anyone try my pool by any chance? crypto-expert.com/TIX

I get the same issues with getting no shares and the miner saying "Share is above target". Sound like something is wrong with stratum communication. Maybe need to switch to getwork for a while until this issue is resolved.
