2262  Economy / Collectibles / Re: PAPERBACK - Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoin and Crypto-Currencies - [50/100] on: March 12, 2016, 07:33:39 PM
UPDATE:

I have requested the ISBN number today. This can take max 10 working days (hopefully much less).
Once I have that, the file is submitted to the printer, who can take up to 5 days for approval.
after approval, the order will be fulfilled in 5 days.
There may or may not be a need for me to approve a prototype copy. This would add an extra 5 days.
Once I receive the books, I will sign and number them, and quickly ship them.

Page count: 270

Great news and congrats for getting it all done! How many hours have you spent on this project if you had to guess?

Yes, this is exciting! Can't wait for my copy to arrive. Grin

What if my initials are "SN"Huh  Or will this not be allowed due to the limited SN - Satoshi coins??

LOL In that case, I'd suggest you include your middle initial. And if you don't have one, then it's time you did. We'll make one up for you -- SJN -- Steven Joel Neilson. Wink

Assuming I win this can I pick the free classic roll and purchase a few LE roll(s) in advance?

GIGŁ, <----- (Hehe!)

Great question!

You may certainly pick the free Classic Roll, and I'm happy to sell you as many Limited Edition Rolls as you like.

However, if by purchasing "in advance" you mean that you would have the exclusive opportunity to buy one or more Limited Edition Rolls before anyone else on the forum, then I'd have to respectfully say no, as that may seem a little unfair to some other forum members. (After all, this year we are making only TEN (10) Limited Edition Rolls in total. Yep, we're serious about the word "Limited.") On the other hand, if you are asking if our Limited Edition Rolls can be pre-ordered (by anyone, regardless of who wins this auction), then a pre-sale is something that we can certainly consider, if that's something you're interested in.

We still have a few details / features to address with our new 2016 Limited Edition Rolls, but I can post any pre-sale info (price / ETA / etc) when we have it all straight. Should be in the next week or two, I imagine.

Sound good?

Chris

I collect a little Unobtanium every so often and load it onto my .999 Pure Silver Unobtanium Bar that I bought from bigtimespaghetti. (I think I have about 21 UNO, not a lot.) I'm HODLing it, but not for investment / profit. Just for fun. (Maybe I like blue cat-people.)

Thanks for this, I was thinking the same exact thing but missed the part about the roll of 40. HOWEVER... Does that mean all 40 coins in the roll are SN coins, or is it just two of the 40? Tongue

Let me clarify things a little with our products list (using owlcatz as an example of highest bidder):

  • Original 2-Pack -- two (2) standard mint OC (for OwlCatz) coins only
  • Short Roll -- nineteen (19) OC coins + one (1) special mint SN coin
  • Classic Roll -- thirty-eight (38) OC coins + two (2) special mint SN coins
  • Limited Edition Roll -- forty (40) SN coins only

As highest bidder, owlcatz would have his CHOICE of either one (1) FREE Classic Roll or one (1) FREE Limited Edition Roll. Does that make things a little clearer?

Quote
Also, Christopher - Are the rest of the 2016 coins going to have your initials again, or did I miss that part as well? Cool ideas btw! Smiley

None of the 2016 coins will have my initials. The only initials minted on our 2016 coins will be of the auction winner (for instance, OC on at least 2,000 coins) and the SN initials on our significantly fewer special mint coins.

I've seen my initials on enough Bitcoin Penny™ commemorative coins. It's time to let someone else enjoy the coolness for a while. Wink

Me
