2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people promote gambling sites . on: March 20, 2023, 08:51:03 PM
i am telling about influencers, who are very blind for their referral commission that they influence new beginner people to gamble and make money (which is not possible many times) even after knowing that one will make any money that this game.
i don't know people think about this in that way or not, may i am a dumb or not seen the world yet,
Well, you already answered your own question. People promote gambling websites for referral comissions in most cases we see on social medias. It's their marketing job to promote those links for extra income. But you are right. They shouldn't promote gambling in a deceptive or misleading way. They should explain the risks involved on this activity and guide their public on how to gamble safely, only using money they can afford to lose.

Here in my country a popular youtuber, idolized by the beautiful people, the media and the government, started promoting a local gambling platform recently. On his advertisement he said that by playing at this casino it was a good method for people looking for an extra income on the end of the month. Totally misleading propaganda, luring his blind followers to a big mistake. Unfortunatelly that is how things work...
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think that there are Dark secrets in every Successful Business on: March 20, 2023, 04:35:18 PM
It's common in third world countries that the government's agents have a very intimate relationship with powerful businessmen from different sectors, therefore, they have additional advantages and benefits inside the nation other businessmen and common citizens don't have. Consequently, they get even more richer, while others struggle to maintain their currently status or even go bankrupt.

Such advantages are a bargain, which doesn't come without counterpart. Businessmen show their "gratitude" by supporting the respective political parties and candidates in order to maintain the system of reciprocal favours.

However, with internet and social media nowadays, which bring everyone from every corners of the world closer, I see it's not an exclusive issue faced in third world countries, but also inside the powerful nations of the world, such as USA and european countries.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the Strangest Bet You Have Ever Had? on: March 20, 2023, 04:04:11 PM
I don't bet on bizarre things or on banal events. I think I could talk only about unlikely bets, that is to bet against the favorite one as the strangest bet I've ever made. It was during the world cup of 2010, a match between North Korea and Brazil. Brazil was the favorite without any doubts, but I predicted the game would end in a draw by 1x1, because a seer told that on the television one or two days ago. However, the game finished with 2x1 score for Brazil...
2264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Asset performance Q1 2023 on: March 20, 2023, 03:54:11 PM
Bitcoin performance in 2023 has been pretty positive. We came from 16,000$ to 28,000$ in 3 months. About 80% increasement in price. Now imagine how happy and satisfied is someone who invested during the dip at the currently moment. What kind of investment returns so much profit like that? Besides bitcoin, I don't think there are many others. And that is just the first quadrimester. I hope the positive trend continues and bitcoin hit 40,000$ at least by the end of this year.
2265  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 20, 2023, 03:14:53 PM
I am not surprised at his confidence in freebitco though, we all know that this is one of the longest running bitcoin faucet, which also have turned into a casino, and I have no doubt that the platform will continue to run for a very long time from now as well, I just think that 0.97 bitcoin(and still counting up) is an expensive free money.

Freebitco.in tells you exactly how they make their money, and they are still standing 9 years after they launched, through bull and bear market alike. Meanwhile, more "trusted" institutions, like Blockfi, Gemini Earn, Voyager, Celcius, gambled away their users funds and have closed their doors and disappointed those who trusted them.

Well, no doubt freebitco is the only reliable faucet left in the market as rest have all vanished since the bitcoin price have been on a high price point. Secondly, its faucet has been running for years and have never dried up.

However, you could not compare with other intuitions mentioned above, as most of the are lending institutions wo contain a lot of users fund. I don't think at point point freebitco hold that much amount of capital as those firms. However, i really appreciate that they are still there and honestly providing their services.
Actually, freebitco.in is a better alternative than those lending platforms, because it's working since 2013, moreover we know they are profiting from gambling activity, what is well known for being profitable (for the house) on long term. On the other hand, lending platforms are shady and don't let it very clear how they make enough yield to pay users back. As we saw last year, at least some of them run ponzi and pump-dump schemes with users' funds in an attempt to generate income.

In a comparison I think we could say that with freebitco.in you are investing by the house's side, and with lending platforms you are "investing" by the gamblers side, therefore it's much more risky and uncertain on long term.
2266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: March 19, 2023, 10:39:44 PM
There is less than 2000$ for bitcoin to follow ahead in order to reach the 30,000$ mark, with 12 days till the end of the month. It seems completely possible to happen in March yet, although it heavily depends on speculators and whales to push the price upside. If it's interesting for this group of investors that bitcoin hit 30,000$ this month, it's going to happen.

And actually, that is my real doubt... We saw speculators damming btc's price on previous months to not let it advance to higher price ranges and there is also the possibility they continue doing this. I hope they don't. Bitcoin deserves to remain stable above the 30,000$ line as a "security level".
2267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my lack of knowledge has blinded me so far on: March 19, 2023, 07:36:47 PM
OP has explained all the main points to justify why casinos have to comply with KYC measures in order to keep their businesses running smoothly.

The system is elaborated in a way you have to follow the rules created by regulators, otherwise you are out of the market, since you can't afford paying fines for a long time without going bankrupt in the middle of the process.

Reality is harsh on us, and although we imagine a perfect hypothetical world where KYC isn't required, it doesn't apply to practice.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a treasure. on: March 19, 2023, 03:38:34 PM
Bitcoin has different definitions depending who is classifying it. Some call it a digital asset or currency. Most countries consider it an asset, while few consider it a currency (legal tender). The "treasure" classification is more figurative and is more related to a personal experience and point of view of a specific adopter, than a general nomenclature widely used in crypto and investment's environment.

Well, I was going to wait until I hit the magical 1.0 bitcoin interest earned, which I expect to happen by the end of the month, but you asked, so I'll post a little early. I do not consider this chump change  Wink

Amazing! That is a huge investment that rewarded you greatly so far! 1BTC interest generated is a hardcore achievement, congratulations!

I've just hit the 0.15BTC mark... However, I'm not sure if I will be able to hit 1BTC someday. I think it won't be possible, because by there bitcoin must be very expensive, so I will tend to use it.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will this Statement alone be enough to Prove my Gambling Loses for Tax Deduction on: March 19, 2023, 02:46:28 PM
I personally have never and would never claim gambling losses on my taxes. Besides it likely opening you up to further investigation that could lead to costly and stressful audits, I personally don’t believe it’s the government’s job to reimburse me for losses as a result of dumb decisions. Similarly to why I don’t claim crypto losses on my taxes. It just seems like personal responsibility to me.
The government will make further investigations on what you are claiming so yeah, this can result for the audit just for them to check if you are really qualified to claim that losses. Better to consult an accountant if you have one who are handling your filling, for sure they can advise you on what to do especially if you lose a lot of money and can’t afford to pay any taxes anymore.
You have to review the tax rules in your country if declaring such losses from gambling is valid, or else better not to declare it because they might ask for more details especially for the source of money and bigger problem might occur if you can't provide any proof for your income. Declaring your income for tax purposes seems to be more stressful, its really good to ask for legal advise from the accounting firm, in my country we have a lot of services like this that actually work for small business, I just don't know if they also handle gambling income since its hard to get proof from this.
Yes, he has to seek for informations with the local government's body from his country, because rules and guidelines are different for each territory. Only those public agents will be able to provide accurate informations on how he should conduct his tax deduction process when gambling online at crypto casinos.

However, since it's a bureaucratic process which demands the hiring of an accounting professional, what also makes it expensive, it's better to avoid it maximum as possible, otherwise it might be more expensive to ask for tax deduction, after all, than just leaving it alone.
2271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won 500$ on Stake on a blackjack (in 1 minute) on: March 18, 2023, 06:30:59 PM
It's obviously for the purpose of adding more followers and subscribers. Well, if you could prove that you could do this over and over again then you might just be successful in doing so. I mean, one guy who won a long parlay shared it here in the forum and is now being swarmed by a lot of users to share his picks. Who knows if that could also happen to you?
Anyway, congratulations on your win and I wish there will be more to come.
One thing is for sure, beating the house will be a large task so you will need a lot of luck for that to happen.
I have my own share of big wins but I don't usually post them on streaming services or even record it. Out of curiosity, are you trying to be a streamer for them?
That is the kind of luck many gamblers face on short run, although the more they play, more rarely events like this happen, becoming insufficient to overcome the losses meanwhile. Anyway, just for taking such risks and resulting in a positive outcome he already deserves congratulations for this achievement.

I just hope he doesn't try beating the house, since that is an impossible mission, and get satisfied with the prize won.
2272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2023 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: March 18, 2023, 02:59:15 PM
Sports sites are already talking about favorites, and the most acclaimed I've been reading are Flamengo and Palmeiras teams, do you agree with this prediction?
Yes, I agree with this prediction. Palmeiras made an excellent campaign last year and they have all the tools to repeat the performance this year. 1 year is a too short period of time for another teams to improve in a level to become real threats to the currently champion. Flamengo's advantage is to be a powerful club, with the largest crowd among all, influent, wealthy and popular. They are always a decent competitor.

This year the championship gained reinforcement in quality teams as Cruzeiro, Vasco, Bahia and Grêmio entered the "Serie A" of the championship, which will probably make it more exciting and much more competitive.
Well, about Cruzeiro, especifically, the situation is pretty bad yet. Although upgrades were made since last year, the crowd is still mad on the team, due to the poor gameplay against weak teams such as América-MG, last saturday.
I'm not confident Cruzeiro is going to make the championship more exciting and competitive. It seems there is still a long path ahead until they can become a solid club again. The question is if Ronaldo can make it work.
2273  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 18, 2023, 02:22:27 PM
I'm sure many didn't expect that the price of bitcoin really reached $ 26k, even today it rose by around 4% and became $ 27400, this proves that bitcoin has the power to go up, community support that continues to grow is something that can't be denied anymore, with transaction volume more than $ 50 billion per day is certainly not possible to control one person or even 1000 people.
Personally, I wasn't expecting for that. It was really surprising to receive a notification on my phone displaying bitcoin was hiting the huge 27,000$ price range. Shocked

It's always very exciting to receive good news you aren't prepared for. But more important than that, is bitcoin holding this position as its new support level, so we can start dreaming about reaching further this year yet. I'm sure stability around 27,000$ will be helpful to increase optimism among investors, what will boost bitcoin's price even more intensively.
2274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most of the world population involved in gambling on: March 18, 2023, 02:15:11 PM
Where did you get these numbers from? From what I can see, the link you posted just explains the general history of gambling and its forms, it doesn't include how involved the population in general is. I also agree that gacha is also a form of gambling to some extent but even if that is true, I doubt many gamers play them or spend money on them. Most people are F2P, or just buy the monthly pack that doesn't include any form of gambling.

Let's say your number is correct, 30% out of 70% of people love sports like gaming, but that doesn't sound like "most" to me.  If anything, I'd say it is bigger than I think it would be, but the average joe doesn't participate in it. A million people are still way less than 1 billion people at the end of the day.
I was also curious to check if majority of world's population really gamble, and that is what I found:

Quote
18. Worldwide Gambling Statistics Show that 26% of The Entire World Gambles.

When you put that 26% into numbers, that’s 1.6 billion people. Furthermore, 4.2 billion people across the globe gamble at least once per year.
GAMBLING STATISTICS 2023: HOW MANY PEOPLE GAMBLE?

It means most people in the world have already gambled at least once in their lives. That is a clear signal it's impossible to avoid or forbid this activity, despite several governments' attempts, because it's already part of human's behavior and personality to predict future events and try the luck for material gains or just for recognization as a smart, intelligent person who is able to see ahead than everyone else around.

Another interesting statistic is this one:

Quote
3. 0.7% of Those Surveyed Are Considered Problem Gamblers.

What are problem gamblers? They are people who have the highest potential for loss of control when gambling by continuing to play regardless of the consequences.

This same group of online and offline gambling statistics shows that 1.1% of the respondents were categorized as moderate risk for losing control. The lowest risk group came in at 2.4%.
Problem gamblers correspond to a very small percentage of the total number. It goes heavily against the most common excuse used by authorities to forbid gambling activity.
2275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FUN Token updates/announcements on: March 18, 2023, 12:54:02 PM
Which FUNToken are we talking about? This one? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/funtoken/

If yes, then this project is more dead than alive. 6 years have passed, no development, although capitalization is still maintained, apparently due to trading on Binance. This token is definitely not suitable for holding, rather for short-term stock speculation, it has a bearish graph. 4 cents in 2021 was probably the limit for this project and it is unlikely to go higher.
The benefits of FUN aren't only about holding it, but holding it in partnership with freebitco.in website, so you can make income from staking and also from the premium program which rewards you daily with Wheel of Fortune spins and extra daily interest over your bitcoin balance. There is also the exclusive FUN casino, Dplay. It's a token for investors and gamblers.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical gambling and internet gambling which is more fun. on: March 17, 2023, 04:43:35 PM
Online gambling increases the range of activities and events you can bet on. For most people it's not possible to have an enjoyable gambling experience based on physical events, since they live in countries where gambling is forbidden or in countryside regions where casinos and other gamblers aren't disponible.

Therefore, online gambling isn't only funnier, but also the only alternative available.
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why The Majority Of the Population Will Embrace CBDC's on: March 17, 2023, 04:09:13 PM
Here in our country the government doesn't even have to justify anything in order to convince people to adopt CBDCs. All they have to do is to enforce the rule and people will adopt it, because they were told to do this from now on. People accept passively anything that is imposed to them: taxes, bureaucracy, corruption, electoral promises that don't become reality, power abuse by authorities... And to say the truth, common sense is much worse than it was few years ago.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: March 17, 2023, 03:35:43 PM
About the South American teams, I can tell you that there will be no disappointment as you are imagining.
Of the 10 teams that compete in the qualifiers, I can say that perhaps only Bolivia and Venezuela are far below normal and would have difficulties competing in a world cup.

The top tier teams are the 3 obvious ones: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

The national teams of Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Colombia and Peru are teams that play the world cup regularly (not like the top 3), but all these countries have good players that play in the European leagues and a good team.
So if the 7 Conmebol teams qualify for the 2026 World Cup, you can be sure that they will be competitive teams and with good conditions to play at the same level of the second tier of European tems for example.

I believe that for 2026 those who will miss out will be Bolivia, Venezuela and Paraguay.
I think south american soccer resumes in two teams only: Argentina and Brazil. Uruguay was good by 2010, but now they play at same performance level of every other teams like Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru...

With the exception of those two teams, european soccer is much ahead in skills and strategies. Nonetheless, Europe is exporting many coaches to run national teams in another continents. Even Brazil was looking for a foreigner to train the national team after the fiasco against Croatia last year.

Regarding the south American teams, we cannot be sure to say if Argentina and brazil are the only good teams that perform well in the world cup because we know according to some news and according to what their coach said Messi is going to play for Argentina in next world cup in 2026 but can't be a reason to say the other teams will not show good performance, from the last world cup and what we saw in Morocco teams I can say each south American teams can have the chance to perform much better than Argentina or brazil in the next world cup.
It will be interesting to see how Argentina is going to play in 2026 without Messi on the team, although it's still uncertain if he is really going to retire from the national team by there. As far as I know he hasn't closed the doors for his participation on the next world cup.

In negative case, I guess Argentina will lose a lot of performance potential, probably playing at same level of every other south american national teams, excluding Brazil, which must keep its solid reputation along the history of world cups.

But we never know. Every world cups always bring an underdog who performs outstandingly, like Morocco did, so why not a south american underdog next time? It's possible... We have 3 years ahead and that is enough time for many teams to prepare themselves to overcome the results achieved on previous editions of the competition.
2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FUN Token updates/announcements on: March 17, 2023, 02:12:53 PM
As an investor of FUN token I'm glad to see you are giving special attention to this project. I was expecting for this before, although recently I've felt FUN in second plan by freebitco.in's team, without further announcements and updates.

But now with this thread and frequent updates I hope FUN can spread among more crypto enthusiasts and grow stronger than ever.

FUN is the most powerful gambling token in crypto market and to remain on this position for longer, constant development of new features is needed.
2280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 17, 2023, 01:29:20 AM
Something very important came into me to know how do you feels whenever someone said of their investment and how it yielded and they made fortune out of it. Do you feels your late getting involved to the industry and do you wishes to be like them, and if you were in their shoes would you be able to utilize those opportunity they got or you won't afford to bear the risk and get involved?
Well, TBH, sometimes I feel that I am a bit late to be involved in Bitcoin investment. But I think everyone has their own luck, I also should have my luck in Bitcoin although I didn't join it earlier. So, I never think to be like them, it is impossible.  Cheesy  I only expect that Bitcoin will last a long time, so I still can gain profits as much as possible in the future. Just forget to imagine being other people who have got their luck in Bitcoin, we are better to focus on our own way in Bitcoin. At least, we are lucky that we are involved in Bitcoin now.
We always feel regretful for not having involved with bitcoin earlier, but I guess we would regret much more later if we don't get involved with it on the present moment. Of course the potential profit someone starting to invest now is much inferior than the profit already made by an early investor, but it's still possible to be benefited by increasements in btc price. The predictions are really positive regards the coming years, so it definitely worth a try to acquire bitcoin at the currently moment.
