Is the second pool bounty still available?  I've added mincoin to www.multipool.in.

I've enabled FTC with Stratum support on my pool http://www.multipool.in/.  No mining fees!  Check it out!
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][FTC][Stratum] www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: May 02, 2013, 07:48:41 AM
Feathercoin pool is enabled.  There are multiple display issues with the FTC stats, please don't email me or post here asking about them.  The vipaerus stratum server is stripped down so a lot of the stuff my code looks for in the DB is missing.  I'll be fixing these issues over the course of the week.  Consider FTC in 'beta' for now.

I'll also be adding BTC and LTC this week.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: May 02, 2013, 04:59:05 AM
Adding Feathercoin (FTC) later tonight.
2265  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: May 02, 2013, 12:03:09 AM
Most likely the motivation for this "update" email is that they are being threatened with impounds.   You either show that people are aware of constant delays in your shipping or we will hold $XXX to make sure we have enough if people ask us for refunds --   this is a common practice with paypal.
I imagine when you are only shipping jallies that cost you almost as much as you charged for them, that you really would want to keep the cash flowing in and not get impounded by your processor.

Probably.  But as I said above, if you still want your unit you really don't have much of a choice.
2266  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: May 01, 2013, 11:25:51 PM

Yeah, guaranteed hashrate, but no guarantee on power specs or shipping date - right? And you accept that by confirming.

There was never a guarantee on ship date, and even if power doubled it would still be the lowest power ASIC solution by far.

Given that your only alternative is getting a refund, I'd imagine this is the better option if you actually still want your unit.
2267  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: May 01, 2013, 11:07:30 PM
they may or may not be "shipping", it is likely they will be shipping "sometime soon".   I would expect that their credit card processor is making them do this as when orders do not ship on time there are regulations about how you have to notify customers and get their approval to keep their order open.

They use Paypal, as far as I know they never accepted credit directly.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW CURRENCY] Maria 2.0 was banned, here is her proof. The birth of Bytecoin! on: May 01, 2013, 10:59:31 PM
Are we close to an API-enabled exchange where one could automatically pull pricing?  If not, I will need to remove Bytecoin from Coinchoose until one exists.

Stick a fork in this one Jim.

Read carefully the fine print and think careully before confirming, unfortunately this is not good news

Would you care to elaborate?

It looks they are just covering their asses, they use subtle wording to URGE you to confirm ("to get your place in the building and shipping queue") and at the end of the day you confirm you are OK to whatever they ship whenever they ship it (no confirmed specs, you just accept whatever they are, same thing for shipping date)

I'm pretty sure it states that orders will be filled to meet the original hashing power that you bought.

I think they will cancel the unpaid orders, i have 3 orders open and 2 of them unpaid because the 15 minutes time limit to pay with BTC was gone.

Nope, they said any unconfirmed orders would be refunded.

Here's a copy of the email I got:
2272  Bitcoin / Mining / BFL is shipping on: May 01, 2013, 09:36:40 PM
Just got an email to confirm my order.

People with orders need to confirm within 10 days or their order will be canceled (BFL says they will contact people before canceling orders.)
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need some advice on buying some feathercoins on: May 01, 2013, 06:04:20 PM
Look, if you want to spend 4BTC or 6BTC for the risk of buying FTC, go ahead. But spending that much money on a clone coin only a couple weeks in existence, especially since the OP obviously don't know Crypto very well, is a very bad idea.

EDIT: the fact that no one else seems to be chiming in to agree with me makes me think there are a whole bunch of wolves who are more then happy to take your dads six thousand dollars. So, well, have at it then. Don't say I didn't warn you. :-)  Wink

FWIW I totally agree with you.
2274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need some advice on buying some feathercoins on: May 01, 2013, 05:31:14 PM
This is pretty much the same people told you 1/2 year ago: Don't pay 46BTC for 100.000 Litecoin, they will be worthless within a year.
You would have been an idiot not to buy 100.000LTC for 46BTC, because 1/2 year ago they where at 0,007 and 100.000LTC would have cost you 700BTC at btc-e. Would be pretty stupid if you didn't take them for 46BTC  Tongue

I think you may have accidentally some math.
2275  Economy / Goods / [WTS] Amazon e-gift, Paypal, Newegg & more up to $2k on: May 01, 2013, 08:05:33 AM
I have done about $25k of business in the past month on Bitmit and with direct buyers.  I can easily handle fairly large requests of up to $2k per transaction and $5k per day.

I charge transaction fees of 2% to direct buyers and 3.5-5% on Bitmit depending on the size of the transaction (Bitmit takes 2%).

I do not offer escrow.  My Bitmit feedback speaks for itself.

Thanks for your consideration.  Any questions, PM or email (email preferred).
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin - Updates on: April 30, 2013, 09:29:19 PM
It would be nice to have a FTC ticker somewhere, preferably obtainable via an API call.  Does cryptonit have this?
2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] New pool www.multipool.in 1% PPLNS on: April 30, 2013, 04:40:26 AM
Are the stats on the site still a little off?  My miner has shown an average of 1gh/s and your site consistently shows I much lower.  I've been watching for days and my States on the site never come close to matching.  Such as I'm at 1.3gh/s and the site shows 400mh/s. Strange?

The stats are working properly right now, as far as I know.  Are you using multiple workers or only one?

Only one worker...  The stats seemed fine for a while but more recently the hashrate stat has just been way off from what my miner is reporting. My user name at the pool is nrky84, of that helps at all.

Does the graph on the my_stats page look correct?  The hashrate displayed on the site is a 10 minute average so if you're looking at it right after you start mining, it'll take a bit to update.
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] New pool www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: April 30, 2013, 04:39:47 AM
I've decided to decrease the pool fee to 0% for now.

I am also planning to add LTC, FTC, and BTC pools this week (probably monday or tuesday).  All PPLNS.

Are you sure you want to lower the fee? Wouldn't want your pool to end up like Mt. Red.
Nice idea adding more coins, I like that.

Stats are still a bit wonky though:

The guy at the top has either way more speed than the server can show or there's a serious bug in there.

the bug is in stratum, apparently it includes stales in the hashrate it inserts into the database for a worker.  Another thing I have been meaning to track down but haven't had time for yet.
2279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: April 30, 2013, 04:37:44 AM
Is there a good terracoin blockchain explorer that blocks can be linked to on the Pool stats page instead of linking to bitcoin blocks of the same identification number?

There is one, and it's on my list (albeit low priority) to fix that.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRC][Stratum] www.multipool.in 0% PPLNS on: April 30, 2013, 04:37:02 AM
Could you increase the max payout threshold? 25 is a bit low.

Changed to 100.
