Zanimljivo je da i dalje nisu odustali od ove glupe ideje, već su ju samo odgodili, i donijet će novi roadmap u kojemu će biti prioritet otvaranje koda osnovnih komponenti OS-a i Ledger Recover protokola.
To i neće puno pomoći.

3. Betradar pokriva i tržišta i statistiku.

2284  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Giveaway Hardverski Novčanik! on: May 26, 2023, 09:02:55 AM
2285  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: May 26, 2023, 08:53:11 AM
In all honesty, most players don't read the Terms & Conditions before signing up, let alone if there are some changes. So they aren't aware of the rules they have to respect at any point in time. I have never experienced anything like that myself. But then again, I don't experiment with new and untested platforms to even give them a chance to mess with me. Stick with the few tested and reliable platforms that we have.

Most T&Cs state that they can be amended at any time. By registering an account, you also agree to those changes. Preferably, the casino would let you know if they made big changes, especially if they affect you personally based on your location, gaming activities, etc.

If you experience something like that, leave that site and don't return. Also, warn the community about your experience.

Moreover, I think they have only one BTC receiving address, unlike other wallets that have up to 20 receiving addresses for security reasons.
I have heard that before, and it's a very unorthodox way to work with bitcoin. If I remembered it correctly, when you create a bitcoin wallet, you only get that one receiving address. However, you can create other bitcoin wallets. I think the max is 10. You would get a new BTC address for each one, obviously. Again, this is a very weird way of handling it. It's OK for account-based cryptocurrencies like ethereum and tron, but it isn't recommended for bitcoin.

Adding one more collection of Nano Ledger X (Betnomi) purchased from GazetaBitcoin.
Looks like the devices Betnomi is/was giving away in their free raffles. Is it?
Whatever you do, don't upgrade to the latest firmware to install the seed-sharing code.

Does the cover of the Nano S in your picture have a pinkish color, or is that a reflection from your computer screen, background, or something?
This is your fourth HW you have posted a picture for. That makes you the leader in this category.  Wink
2288  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: GameBoy Hardware Wallet! on: May 25, 2023, 06:57:05 PM
After reading this thread I became interested in this topic and wanted to buy a Gameboy color from eBay. After seeing the price tag of more than 100 Euros for a used one I quickly canceled this project, since for that amount of money I can build multiple other hardware wallets.
All of the devices you find on sale will be used ones. You don't need the color version, though. The original one is big and quite clunky, but look for sales ads of the Gameboy Pocket. After some quick eBay browsing, I can see various offers spanning from €10 up to €80. Depending on where you live, you could come across a real bargain.
2289  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor hacked (again) on: May 25, 2023, 06:50:16 PM
Is it worth defending such a wallet?
Ledger? I didn't get the feeling that zasad@ was trying to defend Ledger in any way. Maybe I misunderstood what you wanted to say.

Trezor may have physical bugs but they can be fixed without giving access to third parties.
Actually, Trezor's seed and PIN extraction vulnerabilities can't be fixed and require a complete overhaul of their devices. No firmware upgrades will ever fix Trezor One and Trezor T. The security researcher's in the video mentioned that as well.

Joe Grand has also provided feedback on Trezor to fix the bug, but he will definitely be looking for other hardware wallet model vulnerabilities.
My gut feeling tells me he is trying to break a hardware wallet with a secure element chip. The future will show if he is successful with it or not. He will obviously never release any information until he has gotten in touch with the responsible parties and given them time to fix the problems. This is all assuming that he was successful in recovering sensitive information.

It's no secret that both Trezor hardware wallets are vulnerable to physical manipulation and it was confirmed with several hacking videos in the past. This is somewhat similar to Joe Grand's video, which involves taking the device apart and doing some soldering and pins connecting work to a custom board. The hack itself uses different software and hardware.

What they didn't mention in the video is if the success rate depends on the firmware version of the Model T, or if it's equally easy/difficult to obtain the PIN and seed regardless of the firmware.
2292  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: May 25, 2023, 01:35:58 PM
Contrary to what Ledger is trying to sell, trusting a single company to "do the right thing" is not even remotely the same as having thousands of developers and hackers -- independent and contracted alike -- making sure that there's nothing fishy going on. It simply isn't.
I agree with you to some extent. However, I want to mention all those Dapps, decentralized liquidity providers, DEXs for ETH tokens and the likes that have been hacked or exit scammed numerous times in the past. Their open-source nature didn't prevent it. Nobody noticed the vulnerabilities until the money was gone. "Security experts" provided them with their seals of guarantee which proved to be useless after hackers found ways to breech the platforms. Just because there is a way to inspect a code doesn't mean those doing it put that much effort into it.

In my opinion, the intention (although I think it is not true that a large number of users asked for it) of enabling such a service only shows that Ledger does not care that they try to present risk as a benefit, as long as their additional profit is behind it.
Besides profiting even more, they are doing this as a sign they are willing to cooperate with certain governments, maybe even in collusion with them. We never understood why Wasabi would partner with a blockchain analysis company and why Trezor would do the same. We also won't understand this in its full context. Stricter regulations are coming, and governments are ensuring they have partners everywhere.

Look at where the companies that will be storing the shards are located. The USA and the UK + the last shard is held by Ledger. Don't you think they couldn't have found partner companies elsewhere? Of course, they could have. The way they did it now, the right document from the right 3-letter agency in the US gets US authorities one shard, with Ledger gladly supplying the second one.

If Ledger Recover was a mandatory service, then that would make sense but since its optional, there is no logical reason to produce another series of hardware wallets. You can either subscribe it and pay $9 monthly or just ignore it and use Ledger in a traditional way.
You are forgetting one thing. The code for Ledger Recover will become available on your device if you upgrade the firmware. For now, that's true only for the Nano X. You decide if you want to switch the feature on or off, but Ledger brings it to you no matter what. Imagine a self destruct button in your car, where, if you press it, the car explodes. I am not going to press it, but I am not comfortable having it there at all. Ledger has already decided to add that button.
2293  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: GameBoy Hardware Wallet! on: May 25, 2023, 01:02:47 PM
I think best version of Gameboy was created only for Japan and it was called Gameboy Color, but mst Gamboy devices have no backlight.
The Gameboy color wasn't exclusive only for Japan, and I remember seeing kids with it in Europe towards the end of the 90s. It would be weird if such a device was only available in Japan considering the huge popularity of the previous versions. Regarding the backlight, no I don't remember ever seeing one that had a backlight.

But please don't use GameWallet for storing all your coins  Wink
I am not going to store any of my coins there for now. I am not sure how popular it will become and how easy it will be to purchase a cartridge with the latest firmware.
2294  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: GameBoy Hardware Wallet! on: May 24, 2023, 01:25:04 PM
I have a question about the text I highlighted. How will the firmware be delivered to the gameboys's owner if it is released on cartridges? Is this some kind of joke too? Do you need to order firmware cartridges with home delivery? How will the company distribute the firmware?
Yep. You will have to buy the cartridge and have it shipped to your home, place of work, or a PO box, depending on what is supported, where you live, and what shipment options the company supports. It's no different from when you purchase a standard hardware wallet. You have to pay for it and have it shipped to you or someone/ somewhere else.

Actually I do not like the idea for real bitcoin storage. The reason is simple: If you are not able to access you bitcoins at some point, because you are old/dead or anything like it, your family will pretty much not be able to find your bitcoin storage device at all.
It's the same as any other physical backups you have. If you die and your family doesn't know where your recovery phrases are hidden, they lose access to their coins. If they have the seed backup but you didn't tell them where the non-crackable passphrase is, they again lose access to the coins.
2295  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities on: May 24, 2023, 11:52:47 AM
Especially since this is a USB-connected hardware wallet, you could easily get a virus on your PC which asks the wallet for the seed phrase 'shards', just the same way Ledger Live will do it when you initiate the Ledger Recover setup. And the wallet will just hand them out.
It won't if it works the same way transaction broadcasting works. You need physical confirmation to broadcast a transaction, and Ledger has said you will also have to physically allow the sharing of the shards. Whether or not that is true is another topic of discussion.

Honestly I find it downright malicious that Ledger's defensive message control boils down to lying about the current state of the hardware wallet ecosystem (ie. claiming that consumers always have to trust hardware wallet manufacturers while that's decidedly not the case).
Putting aside the open-source vs closed-source war, I think the trust lies in the fact that the developers and security experts did their job properly to not mess up the code or introduce vulnerabilities that someone can exploit. That's what most people have to trust because most of us don't know how safe a code is whether we can view it publicly or not.

Trezor's open-source code means very little to me because I can't go through it and I don't understand what it does. I still have to trust Trezor and everyone that has verified the code that it's bulletproof and can't be abused. That's the trust part.
2296  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Whirlpool surge cycles (Samourai/Sparrow) on: May 24, 2023, 10:55:14 AM
I am more interested in mixing and privacy in second-layer and I heard about one interesting project is coming out soon.
I am not sure how that is going to work. I assume you are talking about lightning, liquid or a similar protocol. You are still going to need to make an on-chain transaction to join that second-layer mixing protocol and a second transaction to get back full control of your coins and record the changes on the blockchain. Unless you mix regularly, you aren't going to have open channels and routes to whatever nodes you need to connect to perform your off-chain mixing. People who don't mix on a regular basis won't save anything if they don't maintain their LN channels.

So is there a way to revert changes to default state with Reset phone function, and remove AigGap later if we changed out minds?
According to the last FAQ on https://airgap.it/airgap-knox/, there is a reset feature that converts the phone back into a standard Android device.
@Pearson12 Does it require a password or other type of authentification to reset AirGap Knox and uninstall the device manager?
2298  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recommend a non custodial wallet for IOS on: May 23, 2023, 01:56:59 PM
With blue wallet you can just import your trust wallet seeds or keys and enjoy this features, or better still create new address since trust wallet is not open source.
I can also recommend Blue Wallet. I don't use an iOS device, but if it's as good on iOS phones as the wallet is on Android devices, go for it. I consider it as a go-to mobile wallet that is a step ahead of Electrum anyways.

But I wouldn't recommend importing the Trust Wallet seed. Instead, sweep your bitcoins from Trust Wallet, and don't go back to it. Another reason is that Trust wallet is a multicurrency wallet, while Blue Wallet is bitcoin-only. If OP owns altcoins, he won't be able to use those on the Blue Wallet.

BlueWallet is another excellent option but I'm not sure if they still support Lightning Network.
Blue Wallet only suspended its custodial Lightning Network service. You can still use the wallet in a non-custodial capacity.
2299  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor Suite Lite for mobile on: May 23, 2023, 01:40:09 PM
After a few days of trying Trezor Suite Lite, I found a problem, including the number of assets displayed in the Portfolio balance on the home menu. The graphic didn't appear even though I had tried tapping the 'Try again' button. The graphic only appears when I tap on a previously synced coin asset.
What does the 'Sync my coins' button do that we can see at the bottom of your first page? Can it help to refresh the portfolio view? If you place your finger anywhere on the screen, hold, and swipe downwards, does that refresh the page or does the app miss that option?

How does adding coins work? Does Trezor Suite Lite display them automatically or do you have to add them from some sort of list? I am guessing you only need to import the master public keys.
