2281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 02, 2022, 02:59:02 AM
^^ Most likely it might be Kambosos vs Loma, at least that's what George want next, a big paycheck fight to test him against a very technical fighter in Loma. So just imagine if he beats Loma next, he has beaten 2 of the best 135 lbs fighters.

But for Ryan, this will be a career defining moment, we will see if he still possesses that power and that brandish style and knock out Tagoe to continue his way to the best of the division, specially Tank Davis, who he has been calling out for quiet sometime now.
2282  Economy / Speculation / Re: The long term way is down on: March 01, 2022, 03:52:19 AM
I think if you already have a long-term target then the graph you see is only up and every day the graph goes up and down and that's normal so don't panic too much
stay focused on your long term and wait until your target is reached.

Why not go really long, I mean if this year is a bear market then it's time to accumulate btc for years and wait for the halving (the catalyst for the next bull run). That's how I see as long term investors, doesn't care what the price is, up and down, bounce back and recovery. As long as the investor is putting some money in the market specially in dip and then wait for the next bull run to happen.
2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 01, 2022, 03:06:53 AM
Looking at the poll, i'm the only one who bet for Bivol hehe and i think so because Bivol is not a pushover and he have the package to defeat Canelo.

I might join you on this. Not saying Bivol has the upper hand but Canelo looks overrated to me that others think Bivol is just a small fry. Although Canelo is proven really strong and has already proven that before considering having a leap in his career, it doesn't mean the Bivol is nothing.

The odds for Bivol are expected to be high. Might put on a bet on this underdog.

Big jackpots await for those who will bet on Bivol he is a heavy underdog here, I watched the highlights of his knock out wins and he is really good but those he fought do not even offer resistance, they just stand there waiting for the big bomb to drop them, they are intimidated, in the case of Canelo nobody intimidated him even fighters who has outstanding records and has knockout powers, the name of the game is intimidation if Bivol can overcome it then we have a fight, and Bivol has a chance.

Fighting Canelo is like winning the lottery, similar to what Pacquiao is before, that's why many fighters wanted to have the opportunity not only to fight but have a good pay check as well.

Everyone can intimidated his opponent, but if you don't have the tools then your opponent will just laugh at you. So you also have to back it up and I'm sure Bivol is not going to be intimidated here because he know that he has a puncher's chance.
2284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: March 01, 2022, 12:49:54 AM
And who would have thought that the price is going to increase despite the current situation we have right now? Did bitcoin prove again that they are a hedge in such event such as covid and then now in war? I'm sure no one see the huge pump that we have, going as high as $43k and now we are looking to extend it to $45k this week.
2285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: February 27, 2022, 02:49:22 AM
If anything, I think that prices should be propped up by this news.

Bitcoin should mimic the direction of gold prices when it comes to wartime. People are going to be looking for stable asset classes that do not have ties to either country in these times, as they do not want their wealth being tied up in stocks or fiat currencies.

But we all know that is not just the reason though, gold assets is being used by every nation in war, during WWII, if my memory serves me right, we were told that it is being used by countries to pay their debts incurred during the war, so not sure if this can be said on bitcoin.

The initial selloff, in my opinion, was completely unjustified. The market is now responding rationally to the news.

Perhaps it was simply panic, and when everything settles down, investors know what's going to happen next so they go full retard on BTC.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: February 27, 2022, 02:20:07 AM
It's official, one the most anticipated match this year has been confirmed. Canelo Alvarez will fight Dmitry Bivol on May 7. And not only that, if by chance he won against Bivol, Canelo will be facing GGG next (assuming GGG wins his fight with Murata).

What if the story changed, Canelo and GGG lose in their scheduled match.

My answer to that is, both losers will face each other lol.

More chance for the trilogy to happened instead if they won. Canelo will surely have lots of big challenges if he won that fight which is bigger than facing GGG for the third time. Let's wait for what will happen next.

That will be the worst scenario either one of them lost their both or both of them was upset, what are the chances of that?

Either case, they might be really setting up the big fight in September for Canelo and GGG and no matter what will be the outcome, they are still going to face each other.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 27, 2022, 01:54:44 AM
Well... the NBA regular season will end and soon, the playoffs will begin in April.

My question is, do you believe we can still have some surprises until the end of the regular season!?
Or is almost "everything" decided!!?

There are clear favorites in both conferences, and as chaser15 wrote above, we can already assume which teams will play against each other in the first round of the playoffs. So I wouldn't expect any surprises for the rest of the season. Although the Nets are likely to move up in the standings once Durant returns.

Well we might see some teams moving up, specially in the East, the top 3 team are still bunch up together, we really don't know who will be the top seed and who will take the second spot.

And there is a big news that Durant might come back, so definitely that is a + for the Nets. Maybe they can make a run and be comfortable and enter the playoff instead of going into a do or die game.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: February 26, 2022, 03:29:40 AM
Bivol is a good puncher, he mostly dominating the fight since he style is offensive. Though he doesn't have good head movement and footwork, but he can still remain undefeated. I also don't see his opponent landed big punch on Bivol, so I don't know how tough his chin is. While Canelo have good head movement, footwork and tough chin, but he lack of experiences in this weight. Canelo need to train his body to endure from big punch by Bivol and play more aggresive

Seems this is another fight where the challenger will be favorited Grin

I do agree with your analysis, if Bivol doesn't have a head movement and just rely on his power, sooner or later he will have to deal with Canelo's left hook and uppercut and his chin are going to be tested. And Alvarez is going to take advantage of that no head movement, he can land it at will and maybe this will not last 12 rounds.
2289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 26, 2022, 02:59:34 AM
Tonight I like a couple of games.  Give me the Suns-6 at home.  No matter the lineup I like Suns chances at home.  Then I like the Jazz by -5.5 against the Mavericks.  Again jazz at home I like even against Luka and crew.  Good luck to everyone tonight!

Good game between the Jazz and Mavericks, Dallas though has a small lead in the second quarter. 52-58. Let's see if Jazz can cover the -5.5 because Luka is having a good game at Jazz home court.

For the Suns, possible that they can cover that spread even with Chris Paul,  and the Suns are very strong at their home so we might see a double digit lead win for them.
2290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 26, 2022, 01:50:23 AM
Bull run can occur on multiple time frames.  In 2017 we had many set backs, it took alot to recognize it was bullish the whole year  despite the gains occurring repeatedly it also sold off quite harshly in that year also.
Right now I dont think we are over with the bullish phrase, perhaps because I try to remember the price action from 2017 I doubt less that BTC must fall now after losing its upper price range.   We are above the weekly and could move past the monthly to challenge 50 day average, to keep that in contention makes me quite bullish for now.   Overall I think 2022 is a working year not an easy gain but imo its still positive.

Hopefully you are right, what do you think of the average price though? could still be $50k?

But yeah, seems to be this year, the market is still in the bullish phase and this could be a work of progress year as maybe the $100k price target is still on the minds of the bulls that's why the price keeps on bouncing after a -50% from our last all time high. As compare to 2018 wherein the price really goes down hard months after reaching almost $20k in December. Maybe the bitcoin narrative has completely change.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 26, 2022, 01:06:06 AM
The emotional impact of this is for real and sadly, this will affect him while he's on training but maybe his focus is way different from our speculation.

If there's no real problem at his side, that won't affect him from his current training. He is surely comfortable since he knows that the case is just an attempt to distract him. If his inner self, telling him that the case is somehow real, that's the time he will feel distracted.

Casimero already denies the allegation. If he's sure about that, then everything, from training to conditioning, should be good.

I want to agree, but this fighter are just human, so I would say maybe it will have a impact on him but he is not showing it in reality. Look at Ryan Garcia, he was supposedly fight someone, then he said that he will postponed it because he has mental issues. So there's this part that we don't see with boxers. They may hide their emotions, but at the end of. the day, they are going to think of the situation that might haunt them in their fights or future. So we can't say for certain that he is comfortable right now in the States.
2292  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: February 25, 2022, 05:32:41 AM
Bitcoin is very weak in the higher time frames ( daily & weekly). Slowly and steadily, bitcoin may break the 40k important level. Also on minor bitcoin dump, we see massive dump in the altcoins.

I wonder if we are about to move in the bear market ? What is the hope of bull market in the current circumstances ?
Indeed, the price of bitcoin has broken through the $45k price level again since the beginning of February. However, until now the bitcoin price has continued to move below the $40k price level where the bitcoin price is currently back down to the $35k level. if the $35k price level doesn't hold and the price continues to decline, then the bearish potential will get bigger until it takes bitcoin a few months to recover.

Don't worry, it has now bounce back with a huge 10% increased in the last 24 hours. So there's no more $35k lowest low, instead we are not looking at $40k, maybe in 2 days if everything will still be strong as today's run. Although we are still in the bearish year, it's good that we are not going to see below $30k and we might just be hovering around $30k to maybe $50k this 2022.
2293  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: February 25, 2022, 04:48:31 AM
this thread is now having sense because the price of bitcoin now stays below 40 k and that is what OP is asking actually so  lets assume that this will be the level for the whole quarter or even the next by april to june?

sad to believe but i think we must admit that this situation will get worst in the next following weeks and months.

If the war between Ukraine and Russia will come to worse which is currently happening right now then maybe we can see more dumps to come as many people will be afraid on possible crisis scenario and fuds will spread in cryptocurrency scene so I guess the one we need to do is to prepare if major dump came(hopefully not) and prepare for another funds to buy at the cheapest price it may possibly go.

Unfortunately we cannot do nothing except to assume the worst possible scenario, the world was hopeful that a war could be avoided and the conflicts at Ukraine could be solved peacefully, but now those hopes are broken and this is being reflected in all the markets around the world, and of course bitcoin is being affected by it as well, the question is how long the war will last? As a long war will be bad for the economies of the world that were just recovering from the impact of the pandemic.

Russia already initiate the attack and Putin say this not negotiable anymore so we can expect more worse in next following days since Russian troops are now aggressive to penetrate on Ukrainian borders. And the bad effect of it will continue and might will go to worse if there are other countries like US will join the fight against Russia so maybe what we need to do is prepare for bad situation to come.

True, the war has started already. But did you notice though that price of bitcoin today? despite the news, the price seems to be not bothered all. On the contrary, we've seen it almost touching $39k and it's hard to know that is the reason for the sudden spike in prices, yesterday it was -10% decrease now it's flip, we've experience a huge -10% increase. So the next question is, can we get over $40k again or is this pure manipulation again?
2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 25, 2022, 03:51:19 AM
In the latest news that I read:

Casimero Accused of Acts Of Lasciviousness In Philippines; Team Dismisses Claims As "Fabricated"

Quote
An official complaint was filed on February 11 against the three-division and reigning WBO bantamweight titlist from Ormoc City, Philippines, who is accused of Acts of Lasciviousness and of being in violation of Republic Act 7610—Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. The complaint and pending investigation alleged that Casimero made inappropriate contact with a minor last June in Taguig City.

Violation of RA 7610 is punishable by imprisonment of no less than three months but no more than three years. Similarly, a suspect found guilty of Act of Lasciviousness is punishable by imprisonment of six months to six years.

https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-accused-acts-lasciviousness-philippines-team-dismisses-claims-fabricated--164303

So another distraction for Casimero, will give him the benefit of the doubt. Makes me wonder why it was just filed this month? Or maybe some entity is behind to destroy John Riel emotionally and financially? Your guess is as good as mine.

Oh, really? I didn't know about this.

IMO, this was planned and staged perfectly by the alleged victim because she really knows when and the fact that Casimero is on his way for the fight. The Casimero camp has no choice but to settle this because if this goes worse then Casimero would be heavily affected as well as his career. If I am right, it is all about money because the alleged victim was in the hotel room with Casimero and then filed a blotter later on. We will see soon about this, Casimero should focus first about this fight before anything else and let his team handle the lawsuit.

Yeah, the story is like cut on a movie story or something. Although there are history of not just in boxing, but in all of sports that someone alleges that the superstar committed some sexual innuendos that resulted in a criminal case just like this one. I haven't seen any update yet, but for sure this is a big news in the Philippines involving one of their superstar boxers.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 25, 2022, 02:55:41 AM
As far as I know, Ben Simmons is suspended until March 8. This means that he is going to miss lots of games in this time period. But when Durant and him return, Nets are going to be much stronger than their current look in the regular season. They are going to be a complete team then. Seth Curry has already started playing and adapted quite quickly. I'm looking forward to watching the Durant - Simmons - Curry trio in the near future. If they strike sparks off each other, then we could watch a solid Nets in the playoffs.

Suspended ain't the right term because Simmons have just traded to the Nets recently, for now he still can't play against the Celtics as he's still on the ramp-up process so that he can make his debut sooner. But I've read that he is set to make his debut on March 10, and guess what team they're scheduled to face, well it's his former team, the 76ers. This sure is will be an interesting game because by that time, Harden is also expected to play.
While Durant won't be available for the time being and still in question about the date where he can play again.

Pretty disappointing to read Simmons won’t be in the lineup tonight. The guy has been off for how long now? Pretty unprofessional of him to not be ready to go. I guess that’s no surprise considering what he’s been up to so far this season. I hope we don’t have a Zion situation on our hands. If Ben hasn’t been staying in shape there’s a real concern he could get injured, which is I guess why they’re holding him out right now. I just hope once he does come back, there’s no more drama.

Sounds like Kyrie will be playing in home games pretty soon also. Nets finally getting some good news.

Maybe they just wanted to make sure Simmons is healthy before allowing him to play. There are news that he is working with Korver to hone his shooting skills. I know it's pretty disappointing and frustrating for the Nets and his fans as well. But they are paying him good money so it's better to get him at 100%.

And hopefully Kyrie can play too in the remaining games of regular season to at least help the Nets move to the playoff before Durant comes back.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 25, 2022, 01:27:00 AM
Let's resume betting.

Nets vs Celtics.

No Durant, Irving, and Simmons. These are the big 3 of the team, so it's automatic, I believe that the Celtics will dominate and beat the Nets more than 10 points, I'm taking the spread without hesitation, good luck.

I strongly agree with you and I think the -8.5 spread for Celtics could actually be steal, so I'll be going with that.

I also have the Denver Nuggets -4.5 vs Sacramento Kings.

Goodluck everyone!

Yes, I'm also tailing this one, I think the Nuggets team can easily cover this spread.

Celtics with a huge lead so I guess the -8.5 spread is nicely covered as well. I don't think that Boston will have a problem, hopefully though there will be no garbage time, or least they build a commanding lead going into the fourth quarter.

2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be banned in the EU starting from 2025 if ... on: February 24, 2022, 04:20:46 AM
Lol, why did they single out bitcoin because of it's POW and it's harmful effects on the environment?

That is a weak argument to begin with, there are a lot of industries can have been affected the world environment for years and yet they still thrive up to this day.

Hopefully the EU council will hear all the arguments and pros and cons because it is obvious that the people behind the banning just single out bitcoin here.
2298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why NFT might become important in the cryptospace and the world on: February 24, 2022, 03:42:30 AM
I think you have some point, and we might see a niche in the future just for NFT and maybe pure art collectors. And who knows, maybe we can see plots in the movie wherein instead of criminals stealing physical paintings and precious art, it will be NFTs in their hands.  Grin

So we will see how NFT markets will evolved in the next 5 years as this might be turn into a specialized segments of a market.
2299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 24, 2022, 03:13:39 AM

Checking those lines, I'm eyeing for GSW, but I'll wait. ML and Handicap seem not interesting.
Maybe during live game it will change up, going to wait for something that will value my money. Tongue

The handicap is +7 for the Blazers,.. I think that's too high to cover considering the Warriors are not yet pretty dominant in the past games, but if you will take the ML, it's still not attractive too because they are -7, so most likely that will only be 1.20 or 1.30.. but you are right, get them during live, just hope that the Warriors will be down a double digit early so you'll get a good odds.

GSW have lost 2 games in a row before the All-Star weekend began, suddenly they got inconsistent but this doesn't explains the odds we have now as the handicap now is +6, spreads and ML will continue to change especially when the game is just a few hours away. Let's observe for now and wait for the right timing, we never know we might get lucky to get some juicy odds. There's some other games to watch.

Checking the odds now:

+7.5 = 2.15 for the Blazers. I think that's already very attractive to me to pull the trigger . I agree that the Warriors are very inconsistent and have not been covering their spread as favorite in the last couple of games. Maybe the break did some good things for them, but we will have to see, for now pre betting, I will love that spread and odds.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 24, 2022, 02:21:44 AM
These things are quite normal now especially if you're a famous athlete or a celebrity who have a fat pocket. In Casimero's case, he should be more cautious about these things so that he won't face this situation again.

Quote
"Casimero touched her breast and vagina on separate occasions while she was trying to sleep in his hotel room. The latter incident allegedly took place around 11:00 p.m., four hours after she arrived at the hotel in hopes of getting a picture with Casimero"
Source: https://www.boxingscene.com/casimero-accused-acts-lasciviousness-philippines-team-dismisses-claims-fabricated--164303

Seriously? The alleged victim said in the blotter that she was just hoping and trying to take a picture with Casimero. But 4 hours after she arrived, how did she ends up on Casimero's room where the alleged incident happened?

There's someone who is behind all of these issues and they are trying to get revenge to Casimero.

I agree with you, this thing/incident is pretty normal to celebrities nowadays because they alleged victim only want to extort money from them.

This case is similar to Kobe Bryant's case but it did not prosper if i'm correct.

Just hoping that Casimero's training will not be affected by this case.

Yes, as I have said previously, there could be really someone from behind wanting to get revenge and destroy the reputation of Casimero prior to the fight with Butler.

So it's really up to Casimero now, on how to handle this case professionally. He will really need a lot of help from the Philippines to settle this one and only hope that he will still be focus on his fight with Butler.
