Playing in the MPBL won't happen for the two retired PBA players as they have business interest with the Magnolia franchise while MPBL is currently owned/run by Chooks-to-go, a business that involves chicken so there is a conflict of interest in that aspect.

What kind of business interest is that if you don't mind sharing, please educate me with their business status as I have not been following all the updates especially on business matters. They were previously reported to play with MPBL, and now it's off?

I just read that article weeks ago from my favorite columnist mate and IMO, what he has written has truth in it as Pingris and Simon suddenly canceled their plan on joining the MPBL league. Just know from the article that Pingris has a poultry business as a grower with Magnolia and that prevents him from playing in MPBL.

Please see attached article below.

No one is talking but let's give recognition to Mark Pingris and PJ Simon.

Both are truly a big help in the history of the Purefoods franchise. They have a great career overall and established names because of their remarkable performance and contributions that lead to some championships.

Yup, the hassle, and defense that Marc Pingris brought to the Purefoods team was a great help to achieve that rare grand slam fate and PJ Simon's consistent outside shooting back then was also remarkable.

Just wonder if James Yap retires, what jersey should they hang in the arena, Purefoods or Rain or Shine?

I'm also happy that they will not return to basketball by playing in MPBL as reports said. They should retire as a player but can be part of team management.

2283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 27, 2021, 09:13:19 PM
Few days for this long fight I have been waiting for to take place. My support goes for ancajas he is a smart fighter with great tactics,  let me just chill and wait to watch the outcome of the fight.
We don't know if it's a long fight since both fighters are capable of knocking out their opponent. Ancajas may have more fans here from the Filipino boxing community, but we have to understand that Ioka is fighting in his country and that's his advantage. Both fighters are really strong since it's unification fight, it's the battle between the best.

Yup, this is an interesting fight as both are belt holders but IMO, Jerwin Ancajas has the advantage as he has fought in the US and other places more than Ioka since the latter mostly fought in his home country but the good thing about this fight for the Japanese is that it would be held in Japan which put some advantage points on Ioka.

For the information of everybody, this fight is going to happen next year as the promoter have postponed the fight due to the emergence of Omicron variant of covid-19 so we have to wait for a few more months before we can see these two face each other.
2284  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: December 27, 2021, 09:02:41 PM

Wink Grin

2285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 26, 2021, 09:51:07 PM
Revenue is just the 2nd thing, the first thing they consider is the validity of the reason and I'm pretty sure that the reason for Casimero is valid for them to allow him to keep his belt and just postpone the fight. We can hear rumors anywhere, writers are just too smart in selling their story and since Casimero is already popualr, many will certainly buy that kind of interesting story.

I'm also hoping that it's just the writer's way of selling his story but the way I look at it, there's some truth to what they have written.

Casimero has always had some issues with weight but with the brilliance of his former strength and conditioning coach Momo Heredia, they always get things done but since they have part ways already, he may have some problem conditioning his body and at the same time making the weight.

2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 26, 2021, 01:13:12 PM
I was checking the site to see if there's a game that is currently played, but I see that the results are already tallied so I guess the games today started early. Results for today's games are as follows.

TNT beat  Rain or shine 95-92
SMB beat DYIP 100-88

Because of our busy schedules, most of us (including me) forgot that we have games for today.

Luckily for me, my live bet won.  Grin

Failed to catch the SMB vs NorthPort game but definitely, I would be backing the SMB Beermen as they are now a hot team after winning their third consecutive games with Fajardo doing the support role while TR7 and their import doing the damage.

Fiat padin talaga ang sakalam in terms of convenience sa bawat apektadong lugar.

I'm in Cebu, so natamaan talaga ako sa crisis na to dahil nawala na yong internet connection at kuryente.

@OP, sana ok ka sa kinalalagyan mo ngayon, i can relate on how difficult it is during this time, pahirapan ang pagkuha ng tubig at gasolina, ang haba pa ng pila  Sad.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 26, 2021, 09:10:58 AM
Of course Butler would really a big fish and he would just simply deal off with postponement rather than replacement.

And he made the right decision because the belt of Casimero wasn't stripped anyway, and if he fought the replacement, he still has to fight Casimero again for the championship fight, it's gonna be a double effort on Butler and there's no assurance that he would win against the replacement.

Smart move by him, and the organization for not stripping the belt from the champion.

I would say that it is a good decision by the WBO of not stripping Casimero the belt because Casimero is a bigger name than Butler and the could generate money if ever there is a unification bout between Casimero and Inoue/Donaire as the hype is already there.

This time it is the turn of Casimero to put on the work and be at weight during fight time, hope the rumors of him not getting the weight is just fake news.
2289  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: December 26, 2021, 09:04:53 AM

Daming laro bukas, bawi nalang tayo.
2290  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: December 25, 2021, 10:12:31 PM
Maganda ang plano by next year and sana talaga ay magtagumpay sila dito kase plano palang naman ito, nakadipende paren sa magiging sitwasyon by next year, hopefully no major delay.

NLEX win streak is now over.

They lose against the Phoenix Super LPG in a score of 93-102. McDaniels is just very limited in this game, he only scores 12 points from 4-15 shooting. I guess that's his lowest output in this conference so far and that is not helpful for him to win the import of the conference, it's still Brownlee for sure.

Still a good streak from NLEX since I didn’t expect them to have this in the first place. McDaniels was not able to showcase his full potential on this match and I also believe that its better to play as a team compare to pursue your personal goal alone, its ok not to become the best import, as long as you made your team a champion and I believe this is their main goal.

Magnolia's import is just a beast, he scored 29 points along with 15 rebounds. Although Brownlee still led the team it's still not enough to compete against Magnolia as what we are seeing is a complete massacre, the favorites were the ones who get dominated.

According to the article, https://pba.ph/news/hotshots-turn-clasico-into-christmas-day-massacre. it's a Christmas day massacre.

Zero out of two, bad betting on Christmas day but it's okay. Imports really dictate the tempo of the games, whenever one of them doesn't have a good game, most of the time they lose. McDaniels had a bad night but kudos also to the defense of Phoenix who limit him to just 12 points.

I betted for Ginebra because of Brownlee but yesterday was just not for him to carry his team while Harris did play a monstrous game.

Congrats to the winners.

Big time si coins.ph. Next week another big prize ulit.

Sabi sa infographics nila na the promo will end on December 31, 2021 so may kasunod pa bang raffle drawing of winners para rito?

2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 25, 2021, 01:24:09 AM
Yeah, you are right, let's focus on the Manila Clasico. I try to look for the betting odds of the games later but it's still not available until now, I'm wondering why the bookies were not able to set up the betting odds early, it was supposed to be up last night just like the past games this conference.

Nothing to worry about now mate as bookies have already released the odds just right now, though a little bit late but it's okay.

My picks for these Christmas games...

NLEX -3.5 @1.84 vs Phoenix, NLEX is on a tear so it is really scary to bet against them at this time and also Phoenix is struggling so I think this game is in the bag for NLEX IMO.

Ginebra -1.5 @1.83 vs Magnolia, betting for the Gin Kings because of Justine Brownlee, that's all hehe.

Good luck and enjoy the games on this Christmas day and may you have a merry one.
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: December 24, 2021, 10:55:44 PM
I'm really expecting Mark Magsayo will pull this one. PH boxers are now taking spotlights on the world of boxing. It's good to see them as our own Manny Pacquiao is now retired. I hope for more big fights involving a PH boxer will happened next year.

Magsayo is also a rising star the same as Gaballo that's why I like them to always have the spotlight.
I have to agree on this since there’s a good hype when it comes to Filipino boxers and of course, they really have the talent and Magsayo already prove his worth so this will be an exciting match. Gaballo is not an easy opponent to deal with, so better if Magsayo will focus more on his core strength and he might have the chance to win on this.
Gaballo have to defend his belt on this and Magsayo is the underdog here but of course its real potential is there and he really focus on making himself more better, there’s a chance for Magsayo to get a win against with Gaballo though it might not be easy but its possible. Magsayo did a great job on his last match, I hope he can do that against Gaballo as well, and early Knockout is much more exciting to see.

Against Gary Russell, Magsayo is the underdog, no doubt about that but I don't think that it would be too heavy as bookies have seen what are the capabilities of the latter, he could knockout Russell with just one punch if there is an opportunity.

Will Russell underestimate his Filipino opponent? I don't think so, judging from his statement that Mark comes from the stable of the legendary Manny Pacquiao and the latter must have something in him that convinces Manny to take MMM under his watch.

So far, 7 people have voted with 5 votes in favor of Magsayo.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 24, 2021, 08:21:43 AM
I read that Ugas is a feared boxer in the 147 lbs and no one wanted to fight him. So maybe this is a step up fight for Spence, and after his surgery it looks like he is back to have another challenge and their belts are on the line.

I do hope that the winner of this will fight Crawford for the unification. Hopefully it will be Spence as the hype has been building up for a Spence vs Crawford fight.
IMO, Ugas doesn't make a feared boxer just because he defeated the boxing champion Manny Pacquiao before the man hangs his gloves. Ugas have just defeated Pacquiao by just a small gap in a unanimous decision. His KO rate is that good compared to Spence Jr.
Same here mate, I'm also rooting for Spence to win, aside from that Spence got the height and reach advantage and also Spence's moves will be enough to take Ugas down. Just my opinion.

Agreed. In the welterweight division, clearly there are only 2 kings. They are Errol Spence and Terence Crawford. Anyone presently under them will lose. Spence might knockout Ugas within 10 rounds. Also, if everyone is looking a challenger who has a chance to win versus these 2 kings, I reckon it will be Jaron “Boots” Ennis. Everyone remember that name.

You are right, Ugas is very slow for Errol Spence. The only reason he is in this fight is because he has the belt and he defeated an old Pacman. No offense to Ugas fans here but he is not in the level of Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford but he should be happy that everything falls in his favor, first being the replacement fighter to fight Manny then defeat Manny where after that the money flows. I reckon that this fight would not last the distance as Ugas has no lateral movement.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 24, 2021, 07:13:18 AM
Despite my admiration for some members, I have never followed anyone's hunches, I like to place my own bets without influence from others, just with my own analysis.

Agree, you don't have to follow them, just take their speculations as your reference as it is your money that you gamble but in the end, you can admire those speculators for sharing their ideas/speculations of the game and you can't notice that you already followed them.

@bbc.reporter, thanks for the mention, I never thought that someone in this forum would notice what I have speculated in boxing or in the NBA, the games which I love the most.

Following them without making an effort is a bad idea, it will not make you grow and improve as a sports bettor, it's called blindly following where your journey might stop whenever they stopped. For me, it doesn't help at all as sometimes if the person that you followed lose their pick, you might also end up blaming him for your loss.

It's not totally following them, their picks will be your baseline or shall we say observe first how they fare and then you can refer to their speculations if ever you have a hard time analyzing but you are eager to bet on a particular game, that's what I do most of the time when i was a newbie in this online sports betting. It's a total no-no of blaming those speculators you follow if ever your bet loses as nobody here knows the sure winner, that is why it is called speculations.
2298  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: December 24, 2021, 06:58:31 AM

I forgot to post this after the game between Alaska and Blackwater last Wednesday.

As a super fan of BlackWater Bossing, I want to congratulate them for their continuous losing streak on which the recent one is against Alaska. I like how they played on the game giving lots of opportunities for Alaska to score a bucket. They just need to maintain that kind of playing so that their losing streak will continue making a new record every time they are playing.

From Coaching staff to all of their players, just keep up the good work! Like I said before, their record is hard to achieve and I'm sure no team in the league, even in the future, can surpass their record. What a milestone at this franchise.

Lol, with their current roster I think their losing streak will continue unless they became so lucky in the succeeding games that all they throw will find the bucket, that's the time they would win but if it's just a normal day then their record will be hard to break as their loses continues to file.

I think they are just banking, preparing for the next rookie draft and hope they will get the number one and number two pick overall then sell to its mother team  Grin.

Grin
