2281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm fucking out. bitcoin will be over soon..confirmed. on: January 18, 2015, 03:45:11 PM
Ehh, I dont understand why people write "bitcoin will fall", "this is end" etc. If you dont want just dont invest into it, thats all. Dont spam bilion times with the same speculations..

It is people who have failed to turn a profit who cannot fathom their own failures, taking it out on everyone else.

Since they don't make a profit, they think the means will die without understanding that... the world doesn't revolve around them.

Same "phenomenon" in Gold Mining...

Failures who think they're winners keep failing and blaming others for their failures.

I used to find it hilarious, now it's just sad...
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction without fee couldn't be confirmed now? on: January 18, 2015, 03:40:06 PM
If the transaction is sizeable, it might not get picked up by miners because it requires extra work for no extra coin.

Leave your wallet open, online, for as long as you can, your transaction will get broadcast every couple of minutes or so.

As long as you get the first transaction, you'll be fine.

I also recommend adding a BTC0.00025 to your transactions extra to speed things up.

If no one picks up your transaction, it will be returned after 72 hours automatically.

Hope this helps Smiley
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Scamming Nerds out of their Starbucks Wages on: January 18, 2015, 03:35:15 PM
Bitcoin's the only scam I ever made money from then.

REAL nerds can make Bitcoin profit regardless the price, either you like it or not.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serves you right bitches on: January 18, 2015, 03:32:23 PM
Wanted to make a quick buck? Thought you found the short-cut to endless riches? Serves you right bitch, the punishment is only proportional to your greed and the damage done to Bitcoin by the bubble you derps caused.

Back at the day when I was new to bitcoins you could buy them at about 6$ per coin, wish I could travel back in time and slap myself on the head and invest all I can gather into them.

derp

I fail to see how is this relevant, when I buy I am an ideological ally to the Bitcoin cause, I hold and not sell at the sight of the most worthless news. e.g. not a speculator. Bitcoin can crash to 80 cents as far as I care, despite the fact that I hold BTC I understand that it wouldn't matter long term.

Yes I let myself get convinced by some ivy league schmuck to not invest into Bitcoin when it was <10$, I am still well off by now but I haven't stopped biting my elbows ever since. Should be on a yacht getting my dick sucked right now, instead of living the life that everybody deserves anyway.

There you go, the entire reason of this thread.  YOUR OWN GREED LUST!

You have the mind of a child.

Just because you lost is no reason to call coiners suckers; just because you got suckered...

Normal people lick their wounds and get back into battle.

I'm making a reasonable second income with Bitcoin but I know wtf I'm doing and own a Gold Mining business.

Price will keep tanking too before it sees a strong uptick, from necessity (Need now) buys rather than lower price is better.

I now mine, resell miners, sell contracts... if you do nothing, nothing will happen.

Bitcoin allows me to get an income over winter, it pays all my winter bills so I can bag my gold.

Heck, right now, it's heating my entire office!  Save a grand or so a month in the making  Grin

PS: We all had the chance to buy below $10 owning a yacht with pretty women, NOT JUST FUCKING YOU!!!

2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [TEK] TEKcoin 500% PoS/PoW hybrid SuperStake on: January 18, 2015, 02:07:29 AM
My wallet is broken or some such bullshit.

Mined a few hundred coins, pools sent payment but 2 days later, no show.

I read that it could be that I am on a different chain... after 2 pools, same address, both sent a payment neither showed up.

Here's my wallet address: BnP7MHFkeCp4JLLpoe4oapaiLc5mkq56GV

How do I get on the normal chain??

2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] Solo Mining - Many Coins Including The Big 3: Bitcoin Litecoin Zetacoin on: January 18, 2015, 01:47:03 AM
I mined for awhile on tekcoin at your site. Kinda funny that it shows I was paid for all the blocks I found yet i never received a single coin. Yes, I checked my addy to make sure it was correct, "BrVwzEWjrjGdWsk9vB52ECiCAQbRzcPCkt". Not a single transaction ever came thru. Hopefully someone can look at this and explain to me what happened please.

Same here... this is ridiculous, if TekCoin devs can't get their shit together on which wallet you have to be on and the one they distribute on their website.  I downloaded that 3 days ago ffs.  Same happened at iSpace.co.uk too.  Payment sent but no show... definitely a TekCoin issue.  Now I'm pissed; time to raise dirt.  Gladly I only mined for a total of 12 hours but it's still my coin.

2287  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Request: Suggestions on Where To Put $1000 on: January 17, 2015, 08:22:52 PM
Go to a Las Vegas, find a nice casino, take your grand out, find a craps table and bet on black red.

Hope your 50% bet wins... if you lose at the casino at least, you're only down a grand.

So, pick your poison.

Bitcoin mining's the same thing, except you have to pay the slot machine's electricity price.

You just have to hope your slot machines makes enough to pay for its power use by the time the bill comes in.

If anything, just buy coin.
2288  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Good mining setup? New and looking for advise. on: January 17, 2015, 08:17:55 PM
Start at the power source, not the hardware.

Let's be honest, $0.07 isn't really that good power prices for today's mining.

Start by building a solar farm of about 5KW/h, then fill it with cheap miners like even S1's would get your started for real cheap.

Even at that, you're not covered overnight and batteries can take months to fully charge.

Then buy new hardware as you go to replace the decrepit machines.

Then it don't matter the cost of power or how inefficient your mining hardware is.

I got 5TH/s with 100% in my pocket profits; I make more coin than most miners on a power bill and 10 times my hash power.

Size doesn't equate profits in Bitcoin... smarts does.
2289  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: So miners, are you selling your mined btc as soon as you get them? on: January 17, 2015, 08:07:36 PM
I only sold BTC0.1 to cover a bill and that was in 2013...

I generally only use coin to buy mining hardware.

Anyone who needs to sell more than 75% of their take shouldn't mine at all.

If anything, I can pay my entire power bill out of pocket but I got free power.

I keep it this way because living arrangements can change at any moment's notice.

2290  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Ghash, BTC China & Bitmain Mining Predictions For 2015 on: January 17, 2015, 08:01:13 PM
Right now, there's a Chinese takeover going on, only a handful sees it.

The top pools are Chinese owned... Discus Fish, AntPool and BTC China are Chinese owned and operated.

The manufacturers are also mostly Chinese... nothing with the Chinese but if they don't play fair, only the Chinese will remain.

Kinda destroys the whole point of Bitcoin....

I also think we'll see Cryptos that will likely overtake Bitcoin in price per unit.

As long as there is a #1 pool who plays nice, miners will join so Discus Fish will only keep growing.

Basically those who just have that uncontrolable urge to kiss #1 ass all the time... being with the #1 doesn't make YOU #1....

Right now, GHash is unable to run its own hashing power profitably and chances are, they might not turn it back on for a long time.

Basically, the pools and builders have the power to dwindle the prices as they see fit, even as a temp loss, they know the end ROI is worth it.

Right now, GHash is a "threat" to the Chinese machine and if GHash don't mine locally, it's more coins for them.

Doing so also further deprecates the value of GHash's hardware; double whammy for the Chinese based builders and pools.

AntPool wil likely gain in hashing power and their DieHard fans will mine there too... I don't but no longer buy their crap either.

There's going to be a fierce battle between Bitmain and Spondoolies in 2015, we'll see prices on hardware keep falling.

We might see with Discus Fish what we saw so much with GHash in 2013... too close to a 51% attack than desired.

That's my own prediction.

2291  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Opportunity for bitcoin miners on: January 17, 2015, 07:34:06 PM
I thought I was the only guy crazy enough to be mining in Ontario.

Unreal how much people don't research shit....

No one mines in Ontario profitably unless you got free power... first red flag.

I sold lots of mining hardware in Canada, never once in Ontario, second red flag.

Then upon further research...

Usually professionals have a professional approach and not try to hide everything; they're upfront and transparent.

Also, mining firms don't go out looking for staff using a completely un-related business... (TorontoAle.com)[Big difference between beer and Bitcoin]

Southerners Ontarians, not very smart, too much flouride in their water supply, dumbs them down.

2292  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain is one fucked up company! on: January 15, 2015, 01:05:21 AM
Good luck and welcome to the pain train...

Their customer service is radically useless, all they do is tell you shit and don't come through.

Unreal incompetence, worst than even eBay/PayPal.

You could spit on a wall and get better results than getting anything done with Bitmain customer service.

One big run around meant to get you to give up on their crap and buy more.

Go read the forums of their hardware, the proof is there, I used to have 10TH/s of their crap.

Now down to about 4TH/s and going Spondoolies in the new year.

Many long term buyers of Bitmain are fed up of their junk service and switching providers; just like I am.

I paid more for my last few orders just to get better service; just got fed up of arguing with their non-sense.

Been a buyer since 2013 and still get the "go fuck yourself treatment"; which is just a run around of incompetence.

Again, good luck to ya, seems like don't matter if you bought 1PH/s or 100GH/s you get the same junk, Fischer-Price service.

In your case, I should thank you for helping me make my decision a whole lot easier.  Grin

Red light means you're overheating... there is no dim or bright, it's just solid red.

I have pushed those beyond their limits as to test them.

When the red light comes on, it stops hashing as to prevent damage or cause fires.

Recycle your coolant as you may have grown air pockets; those need purging out.

Even in automotive cooling systems, air pockets can lead to all types of headaches.

Leave your pump's top screw "not tight"...

IF you have a SysCooling, make sure that sucker even works.

All the best Smiley

Well, Bitcoin's a fragile environment.

They might be able to take down bitcoin but Cryptos are here to stay.
2295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many addresses do you think the average bitcoin user has? on: January 13, 2015, 03:39:11 PM
As an average user, I would say maybe 2-3 receive but a lot more send addresses.

I'm currently switching to a new computer and had about 35 receive addresses but I am a miner.

Now down to about 5...

My S4 right now...

http://screencast.com/t/j0FpD49Z8 - Most would die for temps like this on an S4 and I did get it down to 29 Degrees.  However, it is in perfect conditions, alone, in an abandoned bathroom in my home with its own window, middle of the winter, in Northern Ontario, Canada.

It does not like being below 35 though, chips start to show faults, it needs to be minimally warm; 40 I found is best.

So after going to war with Bitmain and SysCooling, went with a Darkside LP360 radiator.

Thing is, no barbs came with it and SysCooling's radiator have built in barbs; SC radiator lasted about 6 days; so I have a dilemma.

That said, my question is simple...

I am missing one barb to complete the system and was wondering is it was possible to leave the return-to-res hoses hanging in the reservoir instead of tied held by a barb.

In other words, I want to omit the barb fitting where there is no need for water tightness. (In my mind there isn't a need)

Here's what I intend to do...

Look at this reservoir from Swiftec: http://www.swiftech.com/mcp35xreservoir.aspx

As you see, there are 2 holes for barbs on the sidewall, one on about 3/4 way up and one about an inch below it.

Basically, I can fill up the reservoir up until the point about 1 cm below where the top barb on the sidewall is.

Technically, it's just a missing barb but the part would not be submerged in liquid at all.

As a temp solution of course, a barb is on it's way but Canada's a big fucking country will take time to get here.

My main concern is damage to the pump and existing system components whilst running with a missing a component.

My miner's been offline for a week now, I wanna put that sucker back online now I got a DECENT RADIATOR!

Lastly, unreal how crappy SysCooling is, the only thing worth a crap in that kit is the harness, fans and the 1 spare barb lol

I'll try it now just for shits and giggles and will update... surely liquid cooled miners won't go out of style.

PS: My hoses have turned red from being beside my red PSU cables  Undecided  Grin

So I got my temp solution... works best when I use the top port since the side port causes too much splash...

Works like a charm and the 3 additional fans on a radiators makes everything a lot cooler.

Swiftec MCP50x + res + Darkside LP360 + 6 fans = Sheer bliss
