It will become trendy when the fees will be lower than that are at the moment. But if we have a good amount of btc then its ok and for emergencies it is just fine enough.

I don't think that the fee will come down any lower. Right now, I am paying around 3% fee for cash withdrawals from my Bit-X debit Card. I am paying a slightly higher fee, for cash withdrawals using my credit card (which is issued by one of the local banks). The fee seems reasonable to me. So the only option is to get used to it.  Grin

Well if it is so then this is the perfect debit card for you. Can you share with us more details about the bit-x experience i really want to hear more about it.
Since i am a student i dont have to pay any fee for my debit card neither to withdraw money from it, that's why the fee seems high for me.

I am using that particular debit card, because I got it free of cost from Bit-X, as a reward for participating in their signature program. If that is not the case, then I believe there is a BTC0.05 one-time fee. You can find more information from their official thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1006153.0

Even I own a Bit-x card which I received after participating in their signature campaign, they do not have that offer going on anymore, otherwise any member who joined their bit x campaign received a free card. I ordered another card for a family member and the charges seem to be pretty feasible. Do you use your bit x card as much as a bank debit/credit card?

Well guys you motivate me to have a debit card, if i join tomorrow in their signature campaign am i allowed to have a free debit card?
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: August 30, 2015, 03:39:11 PM
I love the value and usage of Bitcoins, but it takes the value to a short extent where SECURITY is to ONLY 1 DEGREE! With the irreversible effect of the Bitcoins, this is a very hard ball to stand by without knowing when you will be CRUSHED BY thieves, scammers and just all right out wrong doing with bitcoins. A great reverse service should be invented to keep people from becoming victims of Bitcoin fraud. Without a valid way to hold non honest people accountable for robbing folks blind of their bitcoins, I'm not for sure how long it will take for Bitcoins become a popular currency!

The worst thing about being robbed is that even if the police get the robbers there is no way of geting the bitcoins back. The robbers paper wallet will wait for them when they come out of prison...
If you know how to used your paper wallet theres nothing will robbed you, think about that your wallet have a security to avoid spend of your money, like putting a security code when spending coins, by that things robbers will not rob your coins.

How do a paper wallet stop a gun or baseball bat? Please tell.
they only stole your cellphone or gadget that your paper wallet is in, and if there some cases like that? i think its hard to find a solution in that situation.

It cannot stop a gun or a baseball bat but it is the safest way. You can store your paper wallet where you put your money in a safe place(safe box). Or you can put half of the paper in another place.
2283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2015, 03:11:36 PM
Hi! Cheesy

I recently created a thread asking for the best methods of gaining free Bitcoin.

Most popular results:
  • Signature Campaign (High Paying)
  • Faucets (Low Paying)
  • Trading (Variable)

Now, I'm asking a different question.
What are your best methods of growing Bitcoin.

Only refer to safe investments!

Thanks

Try this new investment site, am not sure about it but it seems legit

https://btcmono.com/link=Ayman101

Your first post and contains referral link which is not allowed to post in forum.

now that the price is not to high, i'm buying, more i have some earnings from signature

But there is a chance that the price will go down even more. Even the Greek crisis didn't helped Bitcoin to cross the $300 mark. And in my opinion, BTC will continue to decline, until the block reward halving occurs in 2016 December. Right now, the supply is much more than the demand. I am not sure about the reasons, but it seems to be that the adoption is declining.

You say that the price of bitcoin will stay under 300$ until December 2016 ? It is more than a year. I think it should happen before that time.

It was a website cloud mining uco1 . com which fortunately I didn't invested there but had 0.00025 bonus since i was registered.
And i see today that that site doesn't even work. They run away with the money if someone invested there so investing in cloud mining has become so much risky i would not prefer to anyone.
2284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2015, 02:52:24 PM
I do everything just to grow my Bitcoins like by trading and gambling and participation in giveaways and also playing with no deposit bonuses.Gambling is my main source of growing Bitcoins.

Before you win how much did you lose in gambling? I see most of people lose their money there.
Participating inn giveaways yeah is a great idea too but it happen not often.
I was playing time to time on sports games.I didn't lose much before overall was balance.Bitcoin showed me to play other type of gambling like casino.Till now my journey of gambling with Bitcoin went very good and don't what will be in future.

you're a lucky person,
so far i always losed my bitcoin on gambling, if i win actually its not profit and worthed with the balance that i loosed,
so i think gambling is the bad method that i've ever know, but for you maybe its a best method

As far as i know most of people lose their money in gambling. It is just a very very little percentage that win or at least get their money what invested there(which is better than losing). So i don't prefer anyone to get in the gambling world.

2 days ago it seems as if coinbase had the same sell and buy price, so how can they make money? and have the prices been changed?

they make money by the fees when your having transaction to them. it is only a small fee so sometimes you will not notice it.
and i also think they also make money when you buy to them some coins.

I think the opposite. You do not have to pay the transactions fees.
Here is an article where is mentioned that they pay the fees.

2287  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people are using Bitcoin debit card? on: August 30, 2015, 02:09:17 PM
I dont know how many people use it, but eventually people will start to.

Yes it costs more to buy but think about it, your money is safe and it doesnt get inflated. It might not be trendy yet, but soon it will be.

Also its efficient since you can pay with it right away and not have to wait 10 min to confirm.

It will become trendy when the fees will be lower than that are at the moment. But if we have a good amount of btc then its ok and for emergencies it is just fine enough.

What is going on your site ? Whenever I tries to enter my profile id to check my account price,  it always shows " please wait for sometime.  You are in que. No. 45. Also que no. always get increased.

Looks like this is the bug or website issue for handling the users request.  OP, can you fix it up plz. I am getting the same error from last 1 week.

Okay now I understand what is the problem, I've been waiting for my que for an hour/more. But nothing happened  Huh

I suggested the OP to change a bit his platform to generate a token or as he said a better way to get an email notification when the process has been done. And check after a time in the website. As it is now it take too much time.
2290  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do coinbase make money on: August 30, 2015, 01:55:10 PM
1% is a good profit, have you seen exchanges that has only 0.2% and make a good profit (i think) then 1% is x5.
Did you know that you have not to pay tx. fee when you use coinbase to send bitcoins?

I think you don't have to pay tx fees only if you are sending to another Coinbase account. AFAIK you still need to pay for on-chain txs.
For onchain transactions, you don't have to pay the transaction fees [1] unless you are sending a small amount. AFAIK, they do have fees when converting to different currency and trade fees too.

My bad then, didn't know since I actually don't use Coinbase. But I guess it makes sense if they are controlling all the private keys in the backend to handle everything themselves.

Yes you don't have any private keys so all money stays to them.
Here is an article where is mentioned that they pay the fees.

It's already mentioned that when the forum at that time 2010 2011 the forum was new and members had the right to have avatar but after that to have an avatar your rank have to be at least full member.

Ok I got it now. If some benefits are given in the begining they have to continue. It can understandable. Thank you.

Yeah that's the point, the benefits are from the old users until a year maybe 2010 2011 and still stands that. but for new members another rule Smiley
Btw, i haven't got any pm from OP with a price.

I would rather use my smartphone if I want to pay in Bitcoin. If the merchant is not accept Bitcoin then too bad for him. They should get with the times and start accepting it. I don't use debit cards whether its bitcoin or fiat.

I think it's more risky in smartphone, there are many malware especially for Android phones.
If you have a good antivirus (like CM Security) and you don't download apps from some "Earn money while downloading and testing apps and games" then you should be safe.
I think that it is needed to use debit cards even if it is bitcoin or fiat, has been a must for us to use it online.

If seller can guarantee that this newbie accounts can have an avatar, that's is a good selling point there. A trusted escrow can verify this before there's an exchange of account detail and bitcoin.

OP can you post here how much do you plan to sell each?

You have reached already full member but do not know newbie can upload avatar or not? - it is not possible.

it's still a Jr Member but with an Avatar

What is the rule of getting an avatar? I know just only full member can get an avatar and upload their profiles. There are any time rules. Maybe a 3 years old account with any rank can get an avatar or what is the real time?

It's already mentioned that when the forum at that time 2010 2011 the forum was new and members had the right to have avatar but after that to have an avatar your rank have to be at least full member.

I see that you tried but you can't because of you rank level now. You are a newbie and this campaign is not for you unfortunately.
