Noticed the Tweet as well, it is nice, too much bad media right now.  I only like bad media if Gox is up and running lol
2284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BitCams.com on: June 22, 2011, 09:59:02 AM
If I had the time, you don't know how much I could possibly help in a few aspects.  Fucking bills.  I thought you were domain whoring at me in a PM, which I get a lot, makes no sense to me, the value of a domain is only as good as it's content imo, so sorry if I did not reply there.

You make a good offer and I hope anyone who does sees this and is able to help, do so.  Having a team behind a site instead of every man for themselves will not only help everyone personally quicker of course, but in the long run make for a quality site, something lacking in the Bitcoin community.  I am not a huge fan of the retro-Fortunecity.com layout of most peoples pages.

If you need people to write custom scripts, programs, there are web sites that do commission jobs.  I think that would be the best route.   Graphics could be commission, pay by BTC, even put in the post how much you would be willing to pay for a logo, graphic, banner, icon, etc.

By the way, if you were able to pay me in advance for a month where I could quit my nine to five, I could help with graphics, design, light code, e-commerce experience, and I also could get some girls and explain it to them.  This would of course have to be backed by lawyers to guarantee at the least the initial girls would not be affected by market price.  If I had the time, good luck, if you could get this going it can be a nice thing Smiley
2285  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: why you dont make a flattr whit BTC ? on: June 22, 2011, 09:44:03 AM
Love this so far, will be figuring a way to incorporate after a little more research.
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: What exchange site will you be using? on: June 22, 2011, 09:24:58 AM
What do I need an exchange for? I do work, people pay me in bitcoin. I want something, I pay in bitcoin. Where do external currencies come into it?
Converting non-Bitcoin users to users takes physical currency sometimes.

Well, c'mon people, there is a market to make a killing with Adult BTC PPC, let's start networking here Smiley

Or maybe someone can craft a good enough email to see if BlackLabelAds, PussyCash, et al have considered doing beta testing of BTC PPC or anything with Bitcoin for that matter.
2289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question regarding Bitcoin client: "receiving" addresses in Address Book on: June 22, 2011, 01:53:01 AM
Seriously well written, thanks for that.
2290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why all the bitcoin haters? on: June 22, 2011, 12:00:05 AM
I would say the majority is not understanding of Bitcoin in general and is what causes the negativity.

Enjoy it, it will keep the markets fun.
2291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to attract late adopter ? on: June 21, 2011, 11:59:00 PM
I'm starting a t shirt design/printing company in a few months and looking at accepting Bitcoin as payment but I'm also struggling to work out how to tier it, do I have a fixed price ie 1 BTC or do I link it to the £10 GBP price I'll be charging and people will have to pay the fluctuating BTC price?

I think with e-Commerce, the benefit of taking a BTC is not the profit initially.  I think if anything, you could and maybe should take a little hit price wise, to both give people incentive to get into Bitcoin and use it in a legitimate way, and then of course the word of mouth from that alone should overall be beneficially to your store in the long run.

I hope others can chime in with some thoughts on this, as proven by my sig I am going a different route Wink

However I am more and more getting interested in other aspects.  Like graphic design, I almost want to help the community a little by doing some start up websites logo or something simple, because I notice a lot of people have their heart in their work, but that doesn't mean poop to Joe A Websitevisitor.  I am finding it hard to think of a proper pricing structure myself with that.  I might go with 'for tips'

Back to your e-Commerce though, maybe do something the market hasn't seen before.  Go by the average of whatever the set price of the top 5 markets is on Sunday midnight.  Then for the week make that the "Bitcoin Price" of course if/when the price goes to whatever is opposite of what would be more positive for the customer, take that hit.  It will act as a built in coupon.  Just have a limit that the coupon can't be more than $5-10 or something.   Seems wordy and hard to explain, but I would argue that the Bitcoin customer is a little smarter and maybe would appreciate such a deal.

Just tossing out ideas.

I still want to know what a "bun fight" is.

I will put up a video on my site later tonight, but I really am not sure what that has to do with this thread.
2293  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Asshole Factor on: June 21, 2011, 08:53:34 PM
Just seen that off Reddit, fucking amusing, wish I knew who that guy was other than making that Fable video game.

j/k, sorry to joke around with my geek cred like that.

I will not insult by using a bad translator again, but I just wanted to say I like the super basic, but clean, design of that Good for Bits site/code.  I hope it works out.
2295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: What exchange site will you be using? on: June 21, 2011, 08:48:38 PM
When they first opened, they had a lot of spelling errors and copied+pasted stuff from other sites. One thing they copied and pasted even still had the sites name in it.

All is fixed now, but thats very sketchy, like trying to throw something together fast.
I thought I read something about that happening (but actually thought it was TradeHill on that one).  I can forgive that based on having to start sites quickly before and having to grab quick filler type text.   However the spelling errors, while stupid, seems like a bigger mistake than the stealing of filler text.

There is a strong argument that Bitcoin7 are only tech people who know the back end side to how this should work, or would work, and therefore wouldn't know how to properly make sure the front end, visuals of the site are clean for the general user, and so copied and pasted of course.

Just what I was thinking could be a possibility when I first read this, I just didn't realize it was Bitcoin7.

I need to keep a better eye on them, if they are honest, I wish them well.
2296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long do you reckon it will take until trading resumes? on: June 21, 2011, 08:43:08 PM
Read this thread as 'Résumé' and went in already having a way of thought that deal with people having some kind of track record of their past bigger trades and you can verify by calling people from their résumé.

Well I thought the idea was dumb!

But I see I was completely wrong about this thread, so now who's the dumb one!

It's me.

Also, seriously, that would be a dumb idea, but I can see this being a thread too.
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question for those that support the rollback/MtGox on: June 21, 2011, 08:35:18 PM
I dont know that everyone agrees with that. However, I feel like thats the first response that makes a little sense to me. IF one feels it is truly in the greater good for the rollback to happen, then I can see why it would be supported. I supposed I am just confused about whether this is the Wild West or Wall Street.

Break it down simpler.   We have two sides fighting, but we all can agree on one thing, the person/s who stole the coins is THE MOST at fault.   Gox, is second at fault.  Better security, blah blah blah, I can easily attribute that to "Every single user took that risk when they signed up".....    but no one, not one fucking person signed up to be fucked over by a hacker.

Gambling is one thing, fixing the game, well, fuck that.  All sides should agree, that the person/s who stole the coins need to be held the most responsible.

I agree that getting mad at a parent (Gox) if their kid turns out to be a murderer (h4x0rz), is easy to do, but in the end, wrong.

Even even simpler, we are the whole class, and we are all being fucked because one person (h4x0rz) decided to throw a paper airplane at teacher (Gox).

Also, the teacher looks like this:

Sorry, growing tired of these analogies and bullshit.  It fucking sucks for everybody, there are no rules written about this situation, no 'right or wrong' .. just the ability to step out of your shoes for a second and go 'okay, this is the best decision for most people involved'
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: What exchange site will you be using? on: June 21, 2011, 08:25:40 PM
I will be using "Top 2" for sure, and if I get enough spare cash this weekend, I will buy into some coin from possibly a third.

I know nothing of Bitcoin7, but why is it I have bad taste in my mouth if I say their name?  They definitely get shit a lot on the forums, what is the reasoning for that, and have they done anything to rectify their bad name?
2299  Other / Off-topic / Re: First pic of MtGox's heist on: June 21, 2011, 07:48:52 PM
