2281  Economy / Economics / Re: The Biggest Financial Regrets on: March 08, 2023, 09:35:33 AM
No matter how early, it's always too late to regret. The problem with many people is not that they lost an opportunity, they don't know themselves. What matters is knowing thyself then life will be easier. Why is it always difficult for some people to keep the same opportunity working even when it's available. Many early birds still lost their businesses. In life not making a mistake won't be possible, we can't see all aspect of a business, they is always someone elsewhere who sees the opportunity more than we do unless we move out of our comfort zone. Until then people can't see clearly what they want to invest into; time and money. Many married men made it while they got married, don't know if the Godfather story is non fiction or fiction, but Don Corleone made his fortunes as a father; 2 kids and a wife. If I'm not distracted then I can achieve anything I want in life, my only regret is being distracted by some things that never mattered to my career and not putting lots of time in my skills.
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling using chip in money? on: March 08, 2023, 08:54:08 AM
It depends on the relationship of the players, trust determines it all, Adin seems to be coaching his friend on gambling that's why he can play his card with all comfort from his friend and himself. Imagine couples who are gamblers, they can play with each others money whenever they wish. In gambling winning and losing always come in place and who wins or loss doesn't matter; if my friend lose out with my money it's seen as fun because that's the game. Didn't watch the video though, but I could imagine the curiosity in the faces of the players not to lose out their winnings. And the immense fun of winning.
2283  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Bookstore on: March 08, 2023, 04:18:49 AM
Are you working on a VPS or shared hosting server? Considering the fact that the project you're working on requires lots of bandwidths whenever you plan to restructure it into a bookstore where people can directly  download or read bitcoin books. I think it will get hold of audiences on the site other than the affiliation with Amazon books. However it's great as you'll make money out of referral, more like Amazon affiliate sites. But, a problem is not being solved, which is the sole aim of business. Like others suggested, allowing bitcoin as a payment method will solve lots of problems in this market, as it fall in line with what your audience have in mind once they see your domain name. Hence, to be in control of the books and maintaining page speed you need a VPS if you are not using it already.
2284  Other / Meta / Re: View Counter of each Reply on: March 07, 2023, 07:25:02 PM
The system calculates number of views of a thread by clicks on the topic I guess, the system can detect comment views by number of people that scrolled pass the comments. I assume is what social media like twitter does to calculate number of views on comments. Though I have not seen any forum script that enables such features and it's not necessary except advertisers on the forum wish to see such algorithm and stats, but I don't see any need for that since they can calculate number of link clicks to their website. Besides, forum users are not seeking for followers, so such feature may not matter.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is, how easy it is to scam people on: March 07, 2023, 03:32:40 PM
I understand OP is trying to explain how easy it is to scam people using the woman as an example. Looking at his explanation in both sides, we can't clearly state who will become the victim. It could be OP or the shiller claiming to be a novice. Op's topic is still in line, because a person who is not experienced may fall for the shiller's con by joining the other account where they'll be ripped off their money. On the other flip, if the woman wasn't a shiller but genuine seeker of what bitcoin is about, Op is trying to inform us how easily she could get scammed. We are all in the cryptocurrency niche together and when we spot a scam we'll know, yet others may not be opportune to detect a fishy investment conversations that's where people perish because they lack information.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 06, 2023, 08:18:57 PM
They are levels to everything, and gambling is not exempted. You can't expect a level 1 gambler to take gambling as a means of income. Many gamblers who have advanced in the gambling business, are equipped with different strategies that enable them win more than they lose. I've read of a man who retired his work to go all into gambling, though a boring life, but he didn't run out of bank role. I don't know if online gambling can be a means of earning a living, lots of players do that in offline casinos and still live large. It depends on the player's determination. Some can move from living large to not living at all Grin
2287  Economy / Gambling / Re: they are scamming us? on: March 06, 2023, 08:04:40 PM
Not all casinos scam players, we need to be observant as gamblers, if a machine promises 98% payback, a player must watch closely to know if he receives 98% payback. Because sometimes the machine would pay 88% payback that's where the scam comes in and as a gambler you must not work with such casino again. It's you against the house, so don't come screaming to an enermy that you don't like the way he beats you. Find a way to keep winning the house or leave it and find another one. As for the video, though I didn't watch it, what makes you all Believe the supervisor? Is he trying to subbotage his business or what? However, only few people knows the right answer to how a the casino operates; pays users. And probably fair can be calculated to know if the casino is doing the right thing they is a way to check it on the gambling sites, for some I've reviewed myself.
2288  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How can we make Bitcoin simpler? on: March 06, 2023, 07:51:31 PM
I think it is about interest.
Well said.

It's about interest, and I'm afraid that we hesitate to admit it; the title of this topic proves it. OP wants Bitcoin to become simpler so fiat users can adapt. But fiat users don't have the slightest interest in using Bitcoin as means of payment. My experience with real-world conversations about this has convinced me. I'd argue that the Gresham's law applies as well, among with this lack of interest.

Sending Bitcoin and sending money using a bank's ATM which is simpler? Bitcoin is, and requires no prior knowledge to send or receive money, the wallets UI are user friendly such that anybody can send Bitcoin swiftly. The Bitcoin usage is not a reason why it's not been adopted. Fiat users prefer to have same balance in their account over fluctuations. Even the elderly people can operate an ATM so Bitcoin wouldn't be that difficult to them, reducing Bitcoin transaction process to anything other than what it's now I don't know if they'll be need for that.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ras Al Khaimah Government announces a purpose built crypto free zone on: March 06, 2023, 07:24:42 PM

Good initiative! The best part of business is solving for others, problems that once affected us, and making money out of it keeps the progress going. Are you testrunning the site with the already listed products I'm seeing on the site? The seller's information, is it only centered on reviews other than profiles? I suggest that they should be a page for the seller's information for trust purposes. How do you intend to Target your traffic? The market is rich, targeting audience; sellers and buyers won't be that hard yet can be a hassle.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto market has grown in africa on: March 06, 2023, 05:09:33 PM
African's interest on the block chain technology didn't occur as a surprise, since the institution of the internet African countries like Nigeria, Kenya etc have been active participants of the internet, so adopting any form of internet money like crypto, PayPal, payoneer etc to enhance their online businesses is a norm. Though, the fiat currencies used in Africa are low and may not make huge impact on the cryptocurrency market. Only a few Africans can invest up to 20k - 30k dollars into bitcoin. Hence, they create crypto startups that generates lots of dollars, but I wonder why it rarely converts to an increase in the price of cryptocurrency. I think the growth is in quantity and not quality.

2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos lack slot clubs; comps, is it hard to achieve? on: March 05, 2023, 09:58:01 PM
Las Vegas casino is the best casino in the world and Atlantic city casino provide the hotel rooms, food for free.Even this people provide of good accommodation for the players, the players should create a unique technique for their game strategy. The unique game strategy alone help the players to win good amount of money from it.The important thing is the players need to update the unique techniques with time. The most of the people had more interest in the slot club offline as compared to the online slot games.Because the offline game was always interesting as compared to the online version.

The offline casinos have been around for decades and its very solid and most of them would be in charge of online casinos. Quite correct the players who join slot clubs sometimes have different methods of earning lots of profits and sleeping multiple nights in the hotel. Couples can register with different names and get different comps to spend free nights in the hotel. If the both of them are offered 3 nights each, they can decide to spend 6 nights in the same hotel. While they spend 6 days in the hotel they can play more games, change strategies and boost their card hits to rank up on the slot club. That's why its very interesting to play offline casinos and many people still stake there because of benefits slot clubs offers. It certain they spend more, but those comps make them feel remembered and worthy of spending more time on the casino.
2294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner Necroposting and Bumping Question on: March 05, 2023, 09:27:34 PM

Basically these guidelines can be considered as common sense. If you feel that you are not on same page with the main subject, then start a new thread. But if you'll discuss precisely same ideas, you can use the old topic.

Additionally, it depends on the thread; question, news or update. If the person wants to find an answer and the old thread doesn't provide answers that suits the level of understanding the user needs, bumping the thread won't help as many members won't contribute on the bumped thread. So, the user can create a fresh thread and as well refer to the old thread then tailor out what answer they're actually looking at. Hence if its a news or update it's not necessary because they must be changes in such threads. So, you made the right point by adding that it has to be a personal decision.
2295  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 05, 2023, 09:21:28 PM

There are also few casino/bookie ranking site and reviews that are for me worth to take a look at that you can also find in the gambling section.
As many users are already promoting casinos, it may really be a spam thread if we will create another one specific for this topic.

I don't think prominent or well known Casino review sites list all the cryptocurrency casino site on their platform, they mostly share top online gambling sites. The forum is the right place to execute such requests, though the members are doing a great job to trace legitimate casinos, but not every user knows where to lay their complaints. Hence, currently, such reports fit into boards like service discussion, gambling section, meta or reputation section which gets answers from different members in the forum. Some people who give out answers on the reputation section may not be opportune to see a thread on service discussion or other boards, relating to casino review, because they don't visit those boards. I think creating a board can unite every user who wants to contribute on casino reviews to always be active on that board and also mods can then move every thread regarding casino review to the board. It will help provide quality responses from members in the forum, other than creating a thread on economic section which may not get the attention of every member.
2296  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Villagers welcome bitcoin ideas. on: March 05, 2023, 09:02:25 PM
That is truly terrific. I think some of the best ways to engage and continue to engage communities like yours are to get everyone set up on a site like Steemit together. Some place where everyone can post, interact, and learn about crypto further, but they can also earn crypto while doing it. When you can learn and earn, it's very easy to stay engaged.

Last time I checked sites like steemit don't easily give out accounts, because people look out to buying steemit accounts. Well if that's the case these villagers would need few weeks or months of intense bitcoin class to be able to write about bitcoin and earn too. I was thinking, if Op sets up a site or forum for the villagers don't know if that's what you suggest. The Chief can sponsor programmers to write scripts and launch a site where the villagers can learn at the comfort of their homes and interact with fellow village on issues regarding bitcoin. The site can rank on google within few years of consistency, which can as well help the villagers to make money from adverts and other deals and traffics from different people who are not from the village. Such project can yield long term profits for them and strong knowledge of bitcoin.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambler has 100% trust in each stake on: March 04, 2023, 08:10:12 PM
Trust is not always a thing in football, that's why it's called gambling. A team or player that looks promising may end up not delivering his/their skills when you place all trust in them. The Arsenal game played today, alot of people had trust in Saka to score yet he didn't and a different body, Nelson, came from the bench to surprise fans. Sometimes these players play fine, hence considering their weekly performances 100 percent is wrong because being in form is not consistent. In gambling don't trust the player's just gamble with your techniques.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 04, 2023, 07:48:06 PM
Arsenal has proven to be serious title contender Thi season, coming from 2nill to win the game by 2:3 is a big surprise and a good attribute of a champion. Is good they're really serious of the title this season, I would be delighted if Arsenal wins the title then seeing Manchester city winning it again.but the league I still open to the teams in top four. Arsenal must not drop any point again. Because Manchester city is closing the gap

They made a mad comeback for the second time this season having previously done the same at Aston Villa at Villa Park. There are still 12 matches left in the EPL, if they have just a little more winning consistency, there's no doubt they will win the EPL title. It's no wonder they were able to make a comeback in this game, because they have complete dominance (81% possession) and lots of dangerous attacks. In the next EPL match, they need to be more vigilant, because they will face Fulham who are a team that can't be underestimated, being ranked 7th and having the same points as Liverpool is enough to prove that they are serious challengers.
Arsenal played an incredible football today with a superb welcome back from 2-0 down to 3-2. It was an excellent victory which the team needed to keep their five points gap ahead of Mancity. Nelson sealed up the match with his marvelous shot from outside the box at the last minutes of the extra time, which gave them three points. What an important win. Bournemouth scored early and was trying their best to defend their two goals, which they did till the last minutes of the game that Nelson's goal made all their defensive effort useless. Arsenal deserves to win the trophy,if they can be persistent in all their matches.

Arsenal game today thought me to always restrategize. The game would have been a lose for arsenal but the substitution that placed Nelson into the game changed the game in favor of Arsenal. I didn't watch the second 45 minutes but from the analysis and discussion with friends, Nelson's last goal wrapped up the importance of changing plans when things go wrong regardless of the time.
2299  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How can we make Bitcoin simpler? on: March 04, 2023, 10:33:18 AM
On the other hand, try to put yourself in the position of someone who installed a wallet, had a backup and now wants to learn how to make transactions. You have to explain to that person what a public address is, what a change address is, what clipboard malware is, what a fee is and how to set it up correctly, what RBF is and how to use it in case the transaction gets stuck...
You don't need to explain most of those things. A person does not need to know what a change address is - a good wallet will take care of this for them. They should have some awareness of the fee, but again, a good wallet will pick an appropriate fee. They definitely don't need to know what RBF is, and many people still don't. Sure, it is good to learn about all these things, but if you are looking to keep things as simple as possible then they are not absolutely necessary in order to make a transaction. Paste in an address, double check it, choose how much you want to send, confirm. That's all that is absolutely necessary in order to make a transaction.

Explaining those terms to someone close to us is more like a discussion class. They can throw such easy questions often, which can be explained to them without wasting much time or referring them to an article that can distill the term down to their understanding. Even though the person cannot read to understand, carrying out the actions practically in front of them can ease their stress. Unless the person is far away then it may not be necessary, just follow the normal routine as you pointed out. But, if he's a neighbor, family member (old), or flatmate; those we have daily facial interaction with, explaining those terms is indeed simple and necessary.
2300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2023, 09:26:29 AM
If they can sell such an amount of bitcoin for a test, how much do they have left? That's the question to ask yourself when considering the above listed names as people who made mistakes. Practically the fun of selling bitcoin for few bucks made them realize the importance of bitcoin and they stacked more of it. For instance, in domain business, if I have a portfolio of 10 domain names and sell 1 cheaper, that doesn't mean the rest in the list won't bring profits. Trading requires exchange, despite your claims that its a mistake, traders still sell bitcoin till date. Now I can sell 0.009BTC for $200 but later bitcoin might get too high that people in the next generation would say I made a huge mistake for selling at that amount, adding that I would have been richer if I held, yet it doesn't me from becoming rich. So, its a recurring sales and it happened willingly, it shouldn't be seen as negligence of bitcoin value.
