Well i cant put more words, the video says it all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsB15QKz9No&ab_channel=EBDSports

I really think this damage the trust in the sports bets , or anything related to the sport gambling, i know a lot can say its a kind of protest but still really unclear.

No one is damaging here but the fixed matching is , imagine that there are chances that we already knew this but of course because of greed we still choose to bet in fixed matching but in the end ? we fail mostly because scammers are waiting for us to deliver our money inside bets and then they will gone.
for several occasions that we've seen this? so lets not trust them there.

A match is supposed to be unpredictable and no credible player will fumble like this, this nonsense wasn't supposed to happen in the first but who knows if they are not paid weekly and bonuses. But there is something bothering me about this event, who are the people capable of making this happens if not for Sportsbet or the organizers themselves. Here are my reasons:
1. A team wouldn't pull this nonsense, they wouldn't give up their league cup for some bets, they would rather try their best to win the league than risk amounts.
2. If the team cannot do this set up, then a single person can't either except the organizers or sports bets but what will they stand to gain when this thing is obvious to the public, they would lose their reputation, and names for nothing.
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐️FoggyStar⭐️Your Big Wins⭐️Share Your Winnings Story on: July 19, 2022, 03:59:21 PM
I think that gamblers play only for fan and to have some adrenaline. Only few of them play for big winnings and have any kind of problem. I also have had big winnings but with sportsbook and not with a casino, and about

you I've also asked if you're going to open a Sportsbook section but I hadn't any reply at the moment. Hope yes naturally, It would attract many players.

Most players only play for fun, but there are many people who win large sums. Luck or talent? Who knows. Nevertheless, it is always nice to see how the players' dreams come true. This motivates other people to try their hands.

You probably didn't notice our answer on the main thread Smiley But it's okay, we'll answer here again: we are going to start the betting shops section in the future because this will open up many more amazing opportunities for players!

Did you say fun with the word MOST people NO! I beg to differ, perhaps you can enlighten me more about that because the way I see people gamble from my place, I don't think passion is what motivates most people to play but an avenue to do some big cash out due to their financial position.
Gambling has dip eaten some students, especially the university students who don't have any other means to source money, their passion for sports is what always triggers them in the first place but the main objective is to win big, when you see them with a long slip of tickets, just know that they have stake/wager money in some games and expecting results in some days.
2283  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Online Casino Directory: newcasinos.io on: July 19, 2022, 03:43:59 PM
I like the concept but I'm not too clear about the review part. What is the potency of your reviews and how reliable are they to depend on? You said a lot of things about what it takes to review a casino but what if your platform becomes big, wouldn't this becomes too centralized with favouritism to some established Casino over the small ones.
On your Home page, I can see top casino slots with different descriptions but they are kind of misleading, they all have a Play button that redirects to another page but what it shows are just reviews and a little description about the game, one will think a slot play page will open when you open a page, may be you should change it from play to another thing.
2284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 19, 2022, 03:14:24 PM
<snip>
I think all these three casino tokens are good and are already established good reputation and market. But to choose between the three right now, I think I will not choose the one that has been risen up in value. There could be reasons that it's only a short period of hype, but I believe on other coins that has been down so much right now, I think they will recover soon enough. Not an investment advice.

It is a product that can give value to a token, if a casino and the team can do more than the platform itself, investors wouldn't worry about short-term growth like the way you fear now, one of the problems with these casinos is that you can never predict their longevity and be sound to the demands of players. As long as players keep using the medium to bets, there will always be a utility for the token and employing a burning mechanism will improve the value over time.
2285  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 19, 2022, 06:20:18 AM
Same experience here. But I think MMA and Boxing is the most affected by this pandemic since watching 2 man fighting without an audience cheering feels like just a sparring match because the fight is not lively as it was supposed to be. Atleast on football and other sports, They a team to play with while on fighting spots, The 2 players is only in the ring with just the referee in the middle. Very boring to watch to be honest.

Actaully, in terms of damage control, MMA and Boxing didn't come to Football, Basketall and other sports that require more than two player, I know that it require just a single person to start a turnament in boxing but if you compare it to other sporting activities, it is very easy to handle when a single player becomes corona positive and quickly evacuate and quarantine than when a single player that is in the mix of 11 players, football requires you to attack an opponent which brings you too expose to other players.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 18, 2022, 05:57:08 PM
I see people who talk about gambling for entertainment as liars, most of them don't want people to see them as gamblers that's why they always use the word entertainment to cover up their gambling activities. Most people who say they gamble for fun and entertainment will use huge funds to gamble and they will never leave the gambling environment yet they are been entertained with their own hard-earned money that is a big lie.
Liars? Don't expect every gambler to think as you, dude. Not every gambler really has a goal to earn money, some gamblers can focus on getting entertainment and earning money is just a bonus. If you only focus on earning money from gambling, you will get stressed or frustrated. It is very difficult to win in gambling since the chance is rather small. So, don't blame people who want to get entertainment from gambling. Every person who joins gambling may have a different purpose/goal.

GiftedMAN wasn't wrong either but wasn't supposed to be generalized as he put it, in some situation some gamblers are always known to disguised under that umbrella so that people don't view them as gambler especially when they see them as a responsible and public model, you know that some society view gambling as a wayward thing to indulge in, they always find a way to hide under this circumstances.
People are different and our financial status have different tastes, there are some gamblers that truly play to have fun and have a nice time, doing it in the first place is not because of money but when it goes as predicted, that doesn't mean they wouldn't take the money, after all, we all do like money.
2287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 18, 2022, 05:29:40 PM
Whales are a special topic and I think that everything is different there too, depending on what kind of whale it is. If this is an anonymous whale, then he may have difficulties with the KYC because there may be some problems (real or far-fetched) with the verification of his identity. If this is a public figure/celebrity, then he will not have any problems at all, because even if they try to deceive him, one word of his can destroy the reputation of the casino forever.
The community of gamblers has different personality backgrounds as certain groups strongly avoid casinos that require KYC verification for some reasons to maintain anonymous profiles, other groups have no problem with KYC verification for legitimate online casinos. I have no problem with KYC online casinos if the casino has an official license, so it will not violate policy because it is strictly monitored to operate according to government regulations.

I think you missed the point of KTC, he is talking about whale, especially one that may be so influential that his words alone will satisfy their T&C and allow him to play without undergoing any Secondary identification, just the way Drake became a special VVIP player on Stake Casino and even with that, he has lost a couple of bets and still later partner with them, he officially announced it on his IG and that also brings in lots of more players to stake bet casino.

Just hope the company in charge of your KYC doesn't have a data bridge as often they use to say, if that happens eventually, there is nothing you can do when your ID gets leaked to the wrong hands. Personally, I dislike KYC not because they want it but because anything could happen to it if it falls in the wrong hands. An email and a password are enough for me to roll some dice.

What did I just watch?  Cheesy Cheesy
Those players are plain clowns and paid to come to play nonsense for the league else no credible player will want to play with his career, the way they did it looks even too stupid and I'm surprised that the fans didn't invade that pitch in crowd.
This is just one of the reasons why I don't watch local leagues, so much corruption and manipulation of matches and this is clearly one of them, I hope FIFA is watching these and should take action against those who organised this event because this is a taint on them.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 16, 2022, 07:02:25 PM
It looks like all cryptos went down in the past few weeks/months, Bitcoin is down, Ethereum is down.

Among the few ones that actually haven't lost a lot of value are cryptos that represent gambling sites, for instance:

  • BFG for BetFury - they offer currently up to 76% yields per annum on the BFG token that is paid in other cryptos such as USDT, BNB etc.
  • OWL for OwlGames - they offer 43% per annum on their OWL token, their currency has actually went up in value whilst all other cryptos went down - and why? Anyone knows?
  • TFS for FairSpin - not very popular but represents FairSpin, didn't go down in value much either.

Are these things similar to what we had in the 1990s and 2000s before Crypto - like buying "William Hill" or "Ladbrokes" stocks? Is it more or less the same thing just in Crypto?

And why OWL keeps on going up in price? Honestly their site doesn't seem to be very unique or impressive - anyone has a credible explanation who is behind the price rise of that OWL token?!

 Huh

I wouldn't compare them with rest of the tokens out there since they have a good use case and such will help grow the value of their tokens. However, looking at the three of the tokens you made mentioned, TFS is the only one with too much total supply, it wouldn't go far when you compare it with others and also, buying these tokens for the sake of APY reward in USDT and BNB is not too convincing. I know they are trying to avoid dumpers but they should build and increase the utility of the Casinos, they would worry less about those that will dump their rewards.
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: July 16, 2022, 06:41:29 PM
my experience is not big but
I think the fall of bitcoin for gmblrs is OK
you can buy it while it is cheaper as was said above
I think you can use other cryptos
bitcoin is just the most hype

Did you call Bitcoin the most hyped coin? You must be really good at making comparisons about altcoins with king BTC. You were fair in your first statement and then change your tone in the last paragraph. I hope you make a deposit next time on a Casino that supports Luna and other shit-related tokens.
If you play on a Casino that keeps a balance on bitcoin, buying bunch of bitcoin right now is the best as you will get more value when the price appreciates and have more dollars to wedge and less satoshi to pay the casino on games to play.
2291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 16, 2022, 05:28:39 PM
Allow me to use this analogy: Just because alcohol is abused and intoxicated by some people, I haven't seen the call for its ban, why should gambling be banned? Besides, it is a financial instrument for some people, they have made a lot of fortune from it.
I'm not too familiar with casino games but I can wage my last card for my club when they have matches against their opponent and when they are playing against a weak opponent, I may even stake a bigger amount I can afford to lose, this why they called it "play for the entertainment of sport and for the fun." Anything you see on earth has a pro and cons and because people abuse it doesn't mean it should be totally stopped, after all, there use to be warning in most bet mediums and the risk associated with them, I don't see any valid reason why gambling should be ban.
2292  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Why no bitcoin swap on Trust on: July 15, 2022, 02:43:07 PM
Trust wallet swap will never support the trading of tokens, or coins into Bitcoin because Trust Wallet operates its cryptocurrency trading swap using the 1Inch network DEX and for the record, most DEX supported Wrapped Bitcoin and other token Bitcoin.
The only option you have is to swap your token into the Wbtc token and exchange it for the real BTC on an exchange like KuCoin.

It is not as if they cannot support the swap of native Bitcoin into other coins and tokens, it doesn't just align with their view of bitcoin. As you can see from the https://www.github.com/thorswap, they can fork their idea but I don't think there is a need to swap real Bitcoin to wrapped bitcoin, holders don't need it except the lenders and some decentralized finance who used it to bridge between blockchains and another reason I think Trust wallet wouldn't copy that idea is that native and wrapped bitcoin is already available in Binance, doing that on trust wallet is will be pushing some users from Binance especially those who don't want KYC.
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: July 15, 2022, 02:29:17 PM
Still, the player has to claim its right because they win the game if the player already complies all of the things needed for the withdrawal and the gambling casino does not take an action and ignores this scenario there's a chance that they will tag but still, of course, it will be deepen the conversation with the thread by that it can be the judge if they really deserve to get tag or not. Having proper evidence is a must of course.

An accusation has one thing which is been wrong and when that happens, it must be treated with fair judgement. It doesn't matter if the casino has been known for a good reputation for a long time, after all, good guys have turned bad in many situations, if the evidence found against them is valid, they must come out plain and pay out what they own except otherwise where the players must have invalidated their terms and policy, they have that right to penalise a player, especially the cheaters.
2294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: July 14, 2022, 10:49:05 PM
They can also get more deposits from users if they are very transparent and don't always find a way to hold onto player's money whenever they win a large amount with KYC and later change their mind that the players must comply and do verification even though they said it wasn't necessary at first and even after doing the verification, they should adhere to fair policy and allow users to withdraw their money, which will instil some level of confidence in the player. That money they withdraw will either directly or indirectly return to the casino, it could be they are putting the integrity of the firm they played and won with to the test.
2295  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Why no bitcoin swap on Trust on: July 14, 2022, 10:27:02 PM

@2stout, that is what am worried about that I may likely find it difficult to transfer out the WBTC to exchanges after I have swapped to it or any other wrapped token of its kind. Is there another way to do it?

It is not difficult as you think if you have wrapped BTC or any other tokens, your choice of chain is arbitrary but fees should be your number one scale of preference. Most exchanges accept wrapped tokens be it BTC, coins or tokens, click on the deposit and you will see a drop-down menu of any blockchain they support, the popular ones are Ethereum, Solana, and Binance smart chain.

But do you really need wrapped BTC? It is stress and workload with all these conversions and swaps.
2296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In the next couple of years you will regret not taking bitcoin ✈️ flight on: July 14, 2022, 10:12:29 PM
A lot of shit coins out there have deceived people in cryptocurrency instead of them putting everything into Bitcoin they chose to was resources on shit coins and other stock, this set of people will regret not puttin100% into Bitcoin give them the next 5 years from now a lot will regret not getting on board on totality.

It is their choice, you can't force people to invest in something they don't want to but don't get tired of advising them to embrace bitcoin, some of them will learn after they get rekt especially during this kind of bear period that things are so hard for all altcoins. I also don't blame them sometimes because I was in one live stream on Tiktok and this guy probably gave many of his followers instruction to buy some shitcoins which didn't go as planned and was assuring them that bull run happens like crest wave yearly, i.e it will collapse a year and rise the second year, he was giving them words of confident that it will rise back next year and I was just shaking my head and smile. It is not as if they don't want to buy bitcoin, it is just that they receive wrong orientation from the beginning.
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you wish for, it might happen on: July 14, 2022, 09:51:07 PM
Sadly many wouldn't want that to happen because they wouldn't be able to do their usual fouls like favouritism, the corruption they called networking and cheating. I see nothing wrong with being taxed from your income, the only problem I see is how these taxes are allocated, spent, and get stolen by some groups. However, I think decentralization will solve this because you can't manipulate a public ledger that is visible to everyone, you see why decentralization will be massively rejected.
2298  Economy / Economics / Re: The fear of Bitcoin monopoly in El Salvador on: July 14, 2022, 09:25:04 PM
This move was unwelcomed by citizens as they grumbled over the supposed waste of public funds

This is funny and I somehow pity them with their ignorance, was not/it is not a forced currency imposed on people but as legal tender which means it can be used as a settlement of debt and exchange of goods without any problem within that jurisdiction, no business entity is or was forced to accept bitcoin, its a choice.

With it's adoption, the government introduced the use of chivo wallets because of its efficiency and lack of credit consumption

My concern about this Chivo wallet is that it is centralized storage which is not in line with my view of bitcoin adoption, every bitcoin in those wallets are watched and if things go south, they could be seized and even get arrested, you know the government and their shitty head especially if there is a change in the government or if another party take over democracy in El Salvador.

Quote
Granted, Chivo is a public ledger, hence the citizens can be aware of transactions and all that. But where I need your opinions is on this: can it be made public enough to scare off monopolists?

Same as I have said above, using of that centralised app is not a good choice of the wallet if Bukelle wanted bitcoin for everyone and not somebody(government).
2299  Economy / Economics / Re: The Growth of Bitcoin ATMs by Country on: July 14, 2022, 09:10:44 PM
Currently, the number of Bitcoin ATMs by country can be seen at https://coinatmradar.com/countries/ shows an increase in usage. Will the number increase or decrease due to the impact of the projected global economic recession that will occur in the future??

I have checked through the website and i must confess that I really find it very interesting but it is odd to me that in the whole of Nigeria, it has just two ATMs and all in Lagos. I'm not unsatisfied about them being in Lagos but the fact that it is just two could either be that the query was manually designed and doesn't automatically search or perhaps they don't want it all to be seen by the government. The Nigerian government has placed a restriction to crypto investors, it is possible that some are hidden from the regulators.
I have a question by the way, how do ATM machines work technically? I'm really interested in the behind scenes.
2300  Economy / Economics / Re: Capitalizing on the strong US dollar? on: July 14, 2022, 04:08:41 AM
I'm completely ignorant on buying currencies as a hedge or a safer place than the US dollar.

With a strong dollar would it be wise to scope a few percentages of like the Swiss Franc?

Is there anything like strong in paper currency? If there is, I don't think there will be parity between Euro to USD. As long they are fighting inflation by printing arbitrary paper with values written on them, they will always struggle to maintain them during crises.
Don't ever make the mistake of buying a currency as a hedge against inflation, you could buy as many bunches you want but trust me, in a few years time, you will only be able to spend them on pairs of shoes, clothes and dinner.
