2281  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 06, 2022, 06:11:36 AM
You are 100% correct....

When our circumstances change... we have to change something to adapt to those changes or we will just be the mouse running in the wheel. So, if the inflation goes up... you have to cut back on your spending or inflation will catch up to you and you will go into poverty.

Also, see if you can take on a second job or some hobby that can generate a second income... because you will need the extra income to make up for the additional expenses you have. (Food price increase...)  Roll Eyes
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 06, 2022, 05:56:45 AM
I am not expecting a lot from this next Halving, based on the price behavior prior to the previous Halvings that we had before. Yes, it has a influence on the price, because it is a talking point in the media in the run up to the event, but most of the time... it only has a small impact on the price.  Roll Eyes

People are making a big deal out of the Halving to hype it up, but the big whales are used to this and they are the ones that are having the biggest impact on the Bitcoin price.  Sad
2283  Economy / Economics / Re: At last, Twitter wins the battle!! on: October 05, 2022, 08:06:24 AM
Well, I know one thing....

Elon Musk loves Crypto currencies ....and he will most definitely encourage Crypto content on Twitter if he eventually buy it. We have seen a lot of these large social media platforms ..banning Crypto currency advertising, because it was either too expensive to filter the genuine content from the scams or the masters behind the scenes.. pushed their own agenda.  Angry

Let's hope his stand on Crypto currencies will stay the same ...and that he will allow "freedom" for legitimate Crypto currency projects to flourish on the Twitter platform.

I really hope he does not change this platform to a "subscription" service only.  Roll Eyes
2284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 07:56:49 AM
I think a lot of the same "Feel good" chemicals in the brain are released when you participate in both gaming and gambling. That is why so many people get addicted to "gaming" too...  Wink

Also, both of these activities are a form of entertainment... so the transition from being a "gamer" ..to being a "gambler" should be an easy shift. (There are a common misconception that only underage kids are playing games.... loads of adults are still huge gamers)  Wink
2285  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 05, 2022, 07:45:55 AM
It feels good to see freebitco still up and running, it's one of the platforms I used in 2019 to get me some satoshis but it's very hard to win on this platform compared to other gambling platforms, I've lost more BTC on this platform than I've won back, I've participated in the lottery win so many times too and never won for once, I got frustrated and quit, now I feel like going back.
Then you must be playing it wrong.  Wink
Over 3-4 years of period with constant free rolls and careful multiplier with small small wagers you could have piled up enough money and if you would have considered free sats, RP’s, at least 2-3 lottery wins then it could have been something worth withdrawing by now.

Plus freebitcoin also launched their premium program for FUN hodlers and since then it’s been very successful in my universe at least. I’m making good stuff out of freebitcoin and only very old player could understand this emotion.
What you say is really surprising so98nn. Could you explain us how a common player could win 3 times a lottery prize in only 3 or 4 years please? There are only 10 lottery winners by week and there are only 52 weeks in one year. It means only 520 people at most could win a lottery prize by year while there are millions users registered on Freebitcoin. Therefore only a big whale could achieve a thing like that.

I would also like to see what he means but I believe that he means probably in 2-3 years time span a person can win the lottery at least once.Unfortunately from my personal experience and that of many others here in the forum we have been having like 2000-5000 tickets or more for every week for more than 2 years and we have not won anything regarding the lottery. It is extremely difficult to win even if you play for years because you are competing against 50 million others and only ten persons are lucky winners every week,it means chances are extremely low to win.

Exactly, I have been with Freebitco.in since this Lottery was launched and I have never won the lottery... not even once. I have way more than 2000 to 5000 tickets, so if that statement was correct.... I would have won it several times before.  Roll Eyes

I have a lot of active referrals that are generating a lot of Satoshi's via the referral system and I use some of my own coins to buy Lotto tickets and to wager on the site... but I never win.  Roll Eyes Tongue
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using residual gas to power up bitcoin mining - Argentine Experiment on: October 05, 2022, 07:38:14 AM
So if I understand this correctly.... residual "Gas" can only be burnt whilst a new hole is drilled.... right? So my question is this...

1. What happens if no new holes are drilled?
2. How long are the residual "Gas" burnt for energy, until they shut it down?

We all know mining require a very constant and stable energy supply, so how effective will this be ...if they constantly have to switch off for hours or days to relocate to a new drilling site?
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: China tells state banks to prepare for a massive dollar dump on: October 04, 2022, 07:10:59 AM
China has also bought a LOT of Gold over several years, so you can see what direction they are going in with their plans for the future. ( Globally, China has the highest reserves of gold at $3.42 trillion. ) - Source : https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/which-nations-have-been-buying-gold

People seem to think that China are buying up their Yuan to boost the Chinese exports, but I think Russia and China are entering into a "Currency War" with the West.  China had real concerns about the future of the Dollar and the euro, and that the trade war could descend into a currency war. (Buying Gold as a Store of value, seem to be the end goal for them to buffer them, in the event that the global markets will collapse in the future)

2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 04, 2022, 06:23:22 AM
Every company or business will test the different marketing strategies to see what is the most effective. If they launch a signature campaign on the forum and they do not get enough new customers signing up for their service or casino, it will not help them to continue with that method of marketing.

The post covid period are very tough for many of these businesses, so the marketing budget is very limited and they are forced to pick the method that render the best result.  Wink
2289  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 04, 2022, 06:04:46 AM
Who completed this week's level up challenge?
I already got alpha slot and Emirates but this 160x one looks impossible to hit. Hot Zone Wild by Isoftbet is the mentioned 160x challenge slot and I have done over 5000 spins without 150x...

I never participate in these level up challenges as I don't think the reward outweighs the risk. Haven't heard of the game before but you would imagine that after 5000 spins, you would have at least hit a 200x or higher...
You made a nice decision by ignoring the slot level-up challenge, they put the hardest slots to hit the required multi for the challenge. Last week it was Blue Samurai(originals game) for 160x and many people I know has passed after 10k spins. Max multi was 80x in thousands of spins and we keep losing more than the potential challenge reward.

Good decision, in my opinion it is better to try the Stake vs Eddie challenge than the level up challenge. Level up challenge requires us to get 5 multiplier in 5 different games and sometime we stuck when there are 1-2 targets to complete. Prizepool is also bigger in Stake vs Eddie challenge although sometime the target multiplier is bigger than the biggest one in the level up challenge.
This week's Stake vs Eddie challenge is easier than previous weeks due to the lowest bet size and small multi requirements. For $0.05 min spin it shouldn't be hard to hit 250x on Play n Go provider, personally, I got over 600x in 10 mins of gameplay.

I avoid the Slot level up challenges, because you pump in way more to reach those multipliers, than what you get back from the challenge in the end. That said... I do try the daily Slot challenges, but even with them... you have to pick the Slots with turbo spins and then you quickly go through the bankroll to hit those multipliers.

The last one I participated in, had a prize of $40 for the first 5 people hitting the multiplier and I spend $55 before I hit one of them and it was too late, because when I checked in the challenges channel.... all of the 5 prizes has been won.  Roll Eyes
2290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mcdonald's in Lugano, Switzerland now accept Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 05:33:43 AM
The thing is.... most of these franchises will have individual branches within their franchise accepting Bitcoin as a test for the support it will get ...and seeing that most people are "hoarders" of bitcoins, it does not get a lot of support.

The whole franchise then take that as a sign that the technology is not mature enough for them to accept it and they stop doing it. So when they do this, people will have to support it.... or they will simply stop accepting it as a payment option.  Roll Eyes
2291  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 03, 2022, 01:36:57 PM
After the huge 2-1 road win to Southampton $20 Everton Cash Drop was availed with the total drop limit of $25000. This time the wager requirement is low, $2500 wagered in the last 7 days and I missed it even though I fulfilled all requirements. How many of you got lucky to claim the bonus.

We have a group of about 50 players that are sharing info and even some wins when we get it, but none of them were able to claim it. It was "Gone in 60 seconds" ..like the movie.  Roll Eyes  (The wager requirement was within reach of many of the people that are running Alt accounts that are linked to bots, so it was expected)  Roll Eyes

I much rather prefer the Pre or Post ==> Monthly that were given for the Watford wins in the past, because you actually got something for that, when the sponsored team won.  Roll Eyes
2292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 06:19:42 AM
The majority of the people will want volatility, because they are speculators and hoarders ...seeking profits for their investments. They do not care that retailers and shops that accept Bitcoin as a payment option, wants less volatility.

Some of the early Bitcoiners will tell you that low volatility are good for Bitcoin as a "Currency" ...because shops and customers does not want to deal with extreme volatility when they pay for goods and services. (Just imagine how shops have to display their prices for their goods... if the price goes up and down every second.)  Roll Eyes
2293  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa with so much endowed natural resources but remains the poorest. Solutions on: October 02, 2022, 06:46:12 PM
You know..... I have worked in Africa on contract for my company for many years... and I have observed a lot of the mistakes that they are making to be first world countries.

The "corruption" is a major issue, because the leadership (government) and their family and friends are stealing the future of their citizens. The citizens shift the blame for everything onto the "West" or the colonialists that are pumping Billions into their economy. (Yes, they take resources as payment ...but what should they do.... just do all of that for nothing in return?)

I think they should stop playing the victim and just start focusing on replacing the people who are stealing their future.  Wink
2294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be Palestine's currency of freedom?? on: October 02, 2022, 04:09:18 PM
Well, Bitcoin as a technology cannot solve all Palestine's problem, but it can bring Palestine into the global trend that are changing to a more autonomous currency. Bitcoin was supposed to be an alternative currency, but most people see it as a commodity and the governments of the world are happy to define it as a commodity and not as a competing currency.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin has also served as a method to bypass restrictions and sanctions that were placed on countries, because it is border-less and unstoppable by centralized authorities.  Wink
2295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 02, 2022, 08:30:28 AM
Yes, statistically ...every combination is possible... but highly unlikely and controversial when you see it drop like that.  Roll Eyes  I hate any kind of Lottery, because there are so many ways to rig the outcome... Example : weighted balls / pre-recorded video footage etc...etc.

I have seen on television where they used a nice looking women to do the draw.... she had a red dress on before the draw and while the draw was happening, she wore a green dress.  Roll Eyes   Another time..... a rolling banner at the bottom, showed the winning numbers ...before the draw ended.  Angry

I do not know of any provable "fair" draw system, that cannot be manipulated in any way.  Roll Eyes
2296  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 02, 2022, 06:14:57 AM
It is a pity that Stake is doing away with a small bonus for everyone when their Sponsored Soccer team "Everton Football Club" is winning. They have replaced this with a Bonus Drop in Telegram for a small amount of people and it is gone within seconds after it is posted. The last one was a $20 drop on Telegram.  Roll Eyes

When they sponsored "Watford" and they won.... everyone got a bonus, now only a small amount of people are getting something. Stake... bring back the good old day, when we all celebrated when your sponsored teams won.  Wink
2297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A New Study - Bitcoin is 56x more energy Efficient than Traditional Banks on: October 02, 2022, 05:53:38 AM
"We demonstrate Bitcoin consumes 56X less energy than the classical system. When Lightning is compared to Instant Payments, Bitcoin gains exponentially in scalability & efficiency, proving to be up to a million times more energy efficient per transaction."

I am seeing that only Bigger members like hero or legendary members are giving merits each other, not to newbies or other such people. I was hoping that people who have best and good post might get merit but that's not the case 😁

When someone post a half-ass thread like this, without the source for their information and then complain about "Merit" .... I have to respond.  Roll Eyes Have you ever scrutinized the post that are getting "Merit" and learnt from that?

This would have been a "great" post, if you did it properly, because it is a "hot" topic in the community and everyone are waiting for someone to do proper research on the energy usage of Banks vs energy usage of Crypto currencies.

Try again... and do some proper research and discussion... then you might get some "Merit" for it.
2298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 01, 2022, 08:52:33 AM
Now the question is..... Why did they allow her to enter the casino/gambling shop with her child? In our casinos ...nobody under the age of 18 are allowed to enter a place of gambling. (Not even as a spectator)  Roll Eyes

The casino should have called the authorities while she was there and arrested her and then the child should have been placed in a place of safety or with a family member.

We live in a strange world, where people are doing very crazy things.  Angry
2299  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Exclusion of Chicken Invaders: the Xmas version (My favourite) on: October 01, 2022, 08:45:05 AM
A lot of these old games was replaced by games that are coded in new languages. Many of the most used programming languages, including Java and C++, are used by online slot developers for making online slots. Slot machines can also be programmed using python slot machine, Erlang, JavaScript Slot, Lua, C#, ActionScript, Objective-C, and HTML5. (Source : https://www.pissedoffgeek.com/2021/06/24/how-online-slots-are-programmed/ )

Some of them were running in Flash and they were full of bugs and errors..... like this old favorite of mine ==> https://www.vegasslotsonline.com/betsoft/it-came-from-venus/
2300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nuclear and gas fastest growing energy sources for Bitcoin mining: Data on: October 01, 2022, 08:26:51 AM
I am also curios to see how they get that data..... because a lot of the smaller mining operations (individuals) come from areas that are serviced by Wind and Solar power plants. So are they only looking at the location of the large mining farms and what electricity they are using... or are they looking at the inputs from the smaller miners too?

It is strange that we (Bitcoin community) have to justify and explain our "Energy" use... but large corporations are flying under the radar. (Example : How many Fiat ATM's are using "clean" energy? ..... How many card readers in shops are using renewable resources? .....etc.. )
