crackfoo;  what are the chances of adding an etherium mining port?  It seems to have done pretty well the past few months....

I'm setting up another stratum server for load balancing.

I'll need some SHA256 miners to test this once it's up. Hopefully, it'll show some improvement in stability.

I'll let you know the details once I've finished testing and setup.

Keep me posted; I'll be in to test once I repair this 1600w power supply that fried the power distribution daughter card last night.  My username at gmail Smiley

So a little update.

I have had my machine on for a few days now...

And the usual ~0.005 I would make in my past updates;  is now this:
3m ago   0.00380695   758e88cccf6d8f475c3243bfac2bc8fef81a...
9h ago   0.00314845   b573485a3d24c9b8c443df46d085141ed197...
18h ago   0.00306317   7ce1b8876e429d310b06e3ededbd5dffe5c4...
Total:    0.01001857

Speechless.   Whatever server side optimizations;  or coin choosing;  or whatever the case may be;  hats off to crackfoo.  It's working.  And my 24 hour profitability is at 2x what it was before I took my trip to India for 2 weeks.

As far as the disconnects are concerned:

I am still seeing them;  and there's great frequency as to when they happen.  I can see the history by seeing my nicehash miner's page.

Presently;  my s3 can handle it pretty well.  I still have it staying on zpool;  But as for my s7;  my problem happens way too frequently to justify it being pointed at the pool and so for now;I just have it trying to catch a bitcoin block solo style.

The problem I eluded to above is that the miners seem to go into a "limbo" mode when they can't switch to a failover pool; or for some reason it doesn't connect to the second pool;  or sometimes just when trying to switch to a new pool.  This "limbo mode" on my S3 is seen by the green hashing light turning off;  no red light lit; no beeping, nothing.  just becoming a space heater.   at 340W;  I am ok with it going offline until I notice and/or can reach it.   The s7 on the other hand;  sometimes it lights the green and red lights;  and you see network activity;  but the web interface doesn't load.... or if it does load it doesn't load the ASIC/board status or anything.  Sometimes it still has a green hashing light on; sometimes no light.  It's annoying.  Either way;  I am getting no hashrate, and its just a 1300W space heater... which is pointless.

IDK if anyone else has experienced these issues or noticed any similar commonalities to the issues I have been having.

When there seems to be more of a SHA256 stability consensus;  Ill point it back here.   I'd do nicehash;  but I dont like getting paid .0018-.0028 with no choice to me.   the custom "p=" password flag hasn't worked for me correctly yet.  maybe I am inputting the wrong decimal place or something.

I would assume that the DDOS'ers are spamming stratum connections;  should be easy to create a rule for the traffic I would think....

I noticed this coin on a miner that was off during my trip to India:
   Benjamins (sha256)   1.802021 BEN   1.8020%   0.005965   3w ago   Immature (3)

Does it really take that long for Benjamins to mature???    Not that I am fighting over 0.005965 mBTC Wink

Things to be working smoothly so far since my return from overseas.   And thanks crackfoo for posting up the pool's normalization/profitability table.  That totally explained why my machine with a GTX980 was absolutely needing it adjusted through the password field.

I wonder if a flag similar to "v=NVIDIA/v=AMD"  to switch between default tables for the type of GPU the users are using;  and even between models of cards;  the people just starting off can select a basic one and have it work better for them at the beginning.   Just a thought;  I dont want to complicate your life unnecessarily!

lyra2re2  5mh/s  pay .43  quark 7 mh/s pay .49  but doing lyra2re2  ??

Did you balance your profitability based on hashrate using the password field?

Also, time to find a block might make the pool put you where you will earn faster.

Hello Support.
I have unpaid account on zpool.ca, more of one week ago.
Please, check it, my LTC address LfA2MSMLj8vpGdrD3CVhaGxXLVtNhLh8cT, 0.01041090 LTC unpaid.

Be sure the pool has mines enough funds to pay out everyone who wants ltc.

If it's still pending it's waiting for enough funds to compensate you Smiley

crackfoo my bat file keeps looking for work...going through the algo's over and over. Mostly mining ok but, this happens once in a while. Do you know why?

Probably test each algo separate.  Maybe the pool is trying to force you into one that is not working properly on your machine.

also dont add any algos to the password field that you are not mining; it will endlessly look for the algo that wont ever start Wink

how to do automaticly change pool based on price?? i'm don't  know how to do thats

my comment was specific to nicehash, and my antminers:
search online about how to configure your nicehash connection so that it only reports "up" if profitability is above a chosen amount.  The profitability amount is configured through the password you use.   I don't have the instructions, and I am on the other side of the worked from my miners and home;  I did a google search and found it easily when I first configured it.  I have nicehash as my primary which is always down unless the profitability is high enough;  and zpool as my secondary which is up 99% of the time.  my 3rd pool is nicehash without the special password configuration so that it will failover to it if zpool has a stratum disconnect.

Since zpool has been under ~0.0050mBTC/Gh in the past few weeks;  That's the threshold I set for myself.

hmm ic.. did you know poll profability based on what?? it's kind good profit but i don't know the real profit is true or not...

Profitability changes throughout the day.  The displayed amount is based on the last half hour or hour; so it's not an overall average.

If the day's profitability hangs near 0.0033 all day, then expect 10-13mBTC generated (not paid) in 24 hours.... Give or take.... On an S7 at 4Th.

When nicehash is paying more than 0.0050; my miner automatically switches over for the better pay rate because sometimes nicehash rentals pay over 0.0068.  There's information online on how to configure your miner to use it like that using the password field.

But typically;  I stay on zpool 24/7, only going to my alternate pool when it gets a disconnect that's longer than the reconnect time period.

my s7 keep change to pool number 2 after couple minute still bug on zpool??

As far as I know yes.  Stratum disconnects, usually only for a short time.  The bug is still being researched.   I haven't noticed it to be much of an issue personally if I have a pool 2 set

I see sha256 is still dropping. Bummer. I'll try in a couple of weeks. Good luck!
I noticed a bunch of disabled coins are back on; so that makes sense.

It's not mine. Are you sure that address for your S7 is yours and not imported from somewhere? This happened to me a long time ago. I had an imported address when I first started crypto. It ended up not being my address, and so when I sent something there years later, it was quickly swept away into another address.

Now i'm worried...

Its an address I generated in coinbase and only for that antminer....  I have the same address on all my mining inputs from that S7 separate from the rest of my mine.  I generated the address the same day I received the S7 from a friend, and the address private keys cant be pulled from their web front-end.  Also;  my coinbase is only accessible from my phone via the app with multiple levels of security to prevent its use, as well as the PC that's locked down in my farm, and my laptop which is "only by me" accessible.

I am wondering if this is a case of someone using a bot to generate private keys, monitor and dump any found amounts in the accounts of the keys it generates.

By guessing brainwallets I have already "mined" 10mBTC+ in times past... so its very possible... but still.  I don't understand why I am seeing an output. (I found wallets like "Arnold Schwarzenegger", "Barack Hussein Obama" Etc... pretty hilarious)

Is there any app out there that I can use to easily decode the scripts on the transaction to see if there's any info there to track this down?

The blockchain.info says it was propagated in the Netherlands area...   Far from California where I am based.

Very sucky.  I will need to contact Coinbase about this.... and I literally get on a plane bound for India in a matter of hours.

Is this one of your pools addresses crackfoo?

On my account that I have my S7 on;  I havent spent anything and there should be zero outputs, but an output is seen to this address... maybe a corrected payment?

Im confused at this transaction: https://blockchain.info/tx/f25b64a4bcc420939720e8a10ea9dbdf86dae939136daf27d01f4bfd778debca

it ended up into a rather large wallet, and was right after that exact size of payment was sent to my address.

I'll probably do what it takes to try and get a decred process set up and try it out once I get back from my trip to India.  I'll advise when it happens Smiley

What's up on Unitus coins?

discussed a few pages back.

It's merge mines with other algos, and diff is a lot lower; so it's just basically not wasting a valid hash.

Crackfoo said if it ends up on an exchange again we could end up getting a claim...
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: March 03, 2016, 10:56:20 AM
Any updates on the share distribution issue? It seems this pool is getting fairly popular, and crackfoo seems really active in running the pool, but the thought of paying potentially a 20-25% fee to mine here is more than a little off-putting...

FWIW
Depending on pool hashrate and daily profitability;  this pool has pretty much been earning what I have expected and more....
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: March 01, 2016, 08:45:08 AM
Sorry I think I have it now. I was just trying to get it set up right off my antminer dashboard. It asks for the pool URL, which you gave me, worker which is my address, then password. I'd like to mine the sha256 multipool. Does that change anything? Thanks!

Yes, the port and password string I provided will mine all of the SHA256 altcoins that are running.

Just plug those fields along with your BTC address in place of mine and it should go up and running.

TIP:  Set a failover pool separate from zpool.   I noticed antminers that dont find a connection when the primary fails;  tend to have strange errors with the hashboards disconnecting and the miner going offline,  needing a hard reboot to get up and running again.   It doesnt happen with every disconnect from stratum, but it stopped altogether for me when I added a failover to nicehash.   The antminer looses the primary pool;  and if it doesnt come back up in enough time it will spend 5-10 min at nicehash then switch back.  This has taken the pools downtimes and slashed them to a minimum, as well as made it so I am not constantly reboting antminers that have the hasning lights no longer lit (not green or red).  This is specifically on my S3; and my S7 would have a solid red light but never reconnect.     Adding the secondary pool cured this issue and solved my downtime issues.

Hope it helps.

Yeah, it's sunday;  no micro payments today.   Kinda strange...

My guessing it has to be an issue with the February calculation =)
2299  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 28, 2016, 10:43:29 PM
anyone else notice that when you have two different pool URL's, the "bestshare" value never shows?  I think after it has mined from both pools at some point.  It will show bestshare for the only connected pool until then (weather it be the primary or failover that's the only one that has connected)

This has been an odd bug i've noticed for a while now.
2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Decred (DCR) Mining on: February 28, 2016, 09:43:49 AM
The system checks a few times a day if there was a miss calculation and/or missed payments. I would have thought this would simply get added (or subtracted for over payments) into your balance...

Will look into it this week but I got a weird micro payment too... but wasn't from the pool's wallet? I'm not sure the source...

Figured it out.  0.00036813 from Nicehash...  I have it set at my failover to pick up the slack... which explains the second 0.0009xxx payment i got to another wallet.  Maybe the same for you?  Or a lucky donation?

FWIW:
When our pool is ~50TH plus or minus 10TH;  profitability is much greater it seems.  Although the day before the last 24Hrs and the last 12 hours, was more profitable per-coin in the pool statistics.

Even given the above statement:
I still get the honest feeling overall;  that 50TH is the "sweet spot" for profitability on a pool;  as in;  the end user gets the most benefit from "pool luck" compared to lower or higher hashrates.
