There are rumors that Inter Milan are exploring a deal to re-sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea. I mean Chelsea shattered a heavy sum to bring him back to the club last summer in a deal worth £97.5 million from Inter Milan. It does look like the move has so far proven to be a disaster for both him and Chelsea. It is a very difficult situation with Lukaku as it he is not a player for Thomas Tuchel's system. Big things were expected from Lukaku after Chelsea signed him after letting him go seven years ago. He has scored just 15 goals in 44 games across all competitions. Thomas Tuchel has been unable to coax the best from Lukaku and he might be prepared to accept his exit if he can find a top-class replacement.
I really don't understand why the teams in the English Premier League always want to bring a player who is probably overrated with a huge amount of money. If he was a player who has experience in the English Premier League then I would have said it is okay but I think in this case Chelsea has only themselves to blame. I am not saying that the player is bad or anything but when you put a huge amount of price tag on a player's head he is going to be under a certain amount of pressure, right? I think it is going to be better for both Lukaku and Chelsea if he leaves. I don't know why Football fans keep saying that Real Madrid didn't play well or were not the favourite. In a final, there are key moments, psychological moments that take a team, where the slightest error can eliminate you and the those who are best prepared for those situations end up winning or reaching the final. It is obvious that some of them didn't analyze Madrid's style of play. They had about 4 chances and throughout the game you could detect some measures of accurate passes, strong counter-attacking, good movement off the ball, exceptional positioning, fluid movement of passes between the players and most importantly discipline and focus. They were so focused on the game that they only need a chance on target to score. Anyone that understands football will never neglect Madrid's teamwork. Liverpool were playing with panic and in a rush to score which allowed Madrid to understand there strategy and loopholes. Real Madrid had to work on that and he were the champions.
I don't know who sold the " Real Madrid are so lucky" idea to everyone. I understand the English media wanted Liverpool to win so bad. Although Real Madrid do take few shots and score in most games even in the final too. All tactics and formation are valid provided you can win your game. It's not Real Madrid's fault that their opposition will take 10 shots and none will enter back of the net. I would not say that Real Madrid won the final against Liverpool only because of good luck. Real Madrid's performance in the final was very good. Ancelotti knew very well that Real Madrid would never win if they played attacking tactics against Liverpool. It was just unbelievable, looking at the journey of Gujarat Titans. Since they were a new franchise, they had to start everything from the scratch. While the other franchises had the option to retain players, the Titans had to contend with players who were released from the other franchises (such as Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Shami and Rashid Khan. Overall this team has been consistent with their performance throughout this season. Hardik Pandya's captaincy and performance are both very commendable. He has maintained the continuity of his performance throughout the season. At the same time, the management of Gujarat has been able to form a stable team. Their batsmen were good enough. The squad consisted of experienced players like Wriddhiman Saha, Gill, Wade, and Miller. At the same time, there were experienced bowlers like Mohammad Shami, Rashid Khan, Ferguson and Pandya. I personally believe that it would have been better for Sadio Mane to stay in Liverpool but I believe he thinks differently. I feel he's undervalued at Liverpool just because Mo Salah is banging the goals. The media doesn't stress out enough how vital Mane has been to the Liverpool side therefore it's understandable if he wants to leave. I would have preferred him moving to Spain instead of Germany. There isn't much challenge in Germany as the league is basically dominated by one side. In Spain he'll get more attention unlike Germany, and would be favoured to win more personal medal. Mane played a huge role in both defeat of Egypt in the AFCON tournament and World cuo qualifiers, and even if he had won the champion league i doubt he'll be ahead of Mo Salah in the race to the balon d'Or. I agree with you. Neither the Liverpool management nor the media gave Mane enough respect. I will not say that he has been devalued. But we always think of Mohamed Salah as a star and talk about his performance. But Mane's big role behind Liverpool's remarkable performance is one that we rarely discuss. Liverpool did well this season, but couldn't outshine Real Madrid.
I honestly wanted Liverpool to win because I thought they would be a lot more determined after losing the English Premier League title only by 1 point. But if we think about it, I think we will see that Real Madrid is the more deserving team to win the Champions League just because of the teams that they had to beat on the way to the finals. Real Madrid was just lucky. Liverpool would have won that match with a very high goal margin without the heroic performance of Thibaut Courtois. The match was against Liverpool Football club and Thibaut Courtois Football club. His nine saves in Stade de France yesterday gave Real Madrid the trophy. Real Madrid was not a fantastic team in that match and they couldn't create much chances but they maximized the few they had. I sensed that Liverpool might have to pay dearly for not scoring in that match. Congratulations to Real Madrid and also a big Kudos to the Liverpool team. Although they lost the cup but they have had a very successful season. Except Real Madrid reinforce its team with new young signings, I doubt if they can make it to the Champions league Semi-Finals with its current squad next season.

RR will be playing against GT today in the finals of IPL 2022. This season has been really unpredictable. Two powerfull teams did not even qualify for the playoffs and a brand new team reached the finals of this season. Considering the overall performance of both the teams in this season of IPL, who do you think will win today?
I feel GT has an upper edge considering their overall consistent performance in this season.
I also think that Gujarat Titans will have a better performance in the finals against Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan Royals have made some questionable decisions in this IPL and certainly not going to help them. Questions will be raised if they play Parag in the finals. We all know he is not contributing to the team at all. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have been playing really well and playing as a team. That has certainly helped them reach the finals of the IPL. I expect a good performance from Gujarat Titans and I believe they should be the winners. They honestly deserve to win this IPL. |

The disappointments continue for Liverpool. I thought they could win the champions league final. In fact, they started the final game well. Real Madrid had almost no position. In the second half, Real Madrid beat Liverpool out of the cup with a nice goal and became the champion. The last thing they wanted was two things. They did not win any championships. They tried to win the league and lost at the last minute. They tried to win the league, it still didn't work.

I believe it is more disappointing for Liverpool not to be able to win the Champions League final rather than not being able to win the English Premier League title. I thought they had a really good chance. It is more disappointing when you come so close and yet it is still so far. Liverpool obviously did not play badly. It was just the time for Real Madrid in the Champions League. The way how Real Madrid reach the finals of the Champions League and won is still a fairy tale in my opinion. I really have to say Liverpool was unlucky in both the Champions League and English Premier League. In any other match, I believe Muhammad Salah would have scored, and against any other goalkeeper that would have gone in. Anyway, there is always room for improvement. It was really sad to see the reaction of Liverpool players after the Champions League final. |
