I can't possibly stress enough how important it is to have 2FA on anything and everything crypto currency related. Install Authy on your phone, set up 2FA on your email and every exchange you ever have coins at. Sure it's a minor pain in the ass to have to get a code to login, but it's much less annoying than losing your money.
Were talking about mostly anonymous internet money than can be moved around without a trace and currently has almost zero repercussions for the hacker/thief. Honestly, 2FA should be required on exchanges these days.

I truly find it hard to believe that people involved in something as technical as crypto currency don't have a smartphone and or tablet. Given that password databases have been hacked in the past, I'd say obtaining a device capable of 2FA is simply a required operating cost. I also assume most people here have a decent investment in crypto already through mining and trading as well, so it should be a small fraction of your portfolio at least. Even if you have zero interest in a tablet or smartphone, it's a pretty poor excuse when the security of much larger value is on the line. it's not about having or not a smartphone, it is because a normal phone is more secure than a smartphone, since there is no internet connection |

This coin has a great specs; no IPO, no premine, low supply but is lacking appeal, branding; I would start with changing name to GEMS. I know all you StarCraft fans would not like that but name is very important in marketing and if this coin ever want to treated seriously and not only used in games then this has to be done. After PoW ends, based on the OP we should be listed on Bittrex. If that happens, then its a good start towards 5 digit price. gems is redundant, i remember at least two coins using it, minerals is good enough imho it is even something that remind you about mining, like gold, how this can be bad |

Actually, you even don't have to rent them. You can run stratum proxies on different IPs and let 50 Mh/s through each of the proxies to the Minerals pool to different accounts and it would appear the hashes are comming from different IPs and different users when actually they are from one giant farm. Admitedly, this coin made it a little bit harder to mine with 1 Gh/s but far from impossible. And whales will always be whales with a lot of resources at their disposal. The only question is are they interested in this coin. And they could be, just because most of the people believe they aren't... Somebody said there are no whales on this coin since hour 10. Probably there are, they're just well camouflaged... this is the most profitable x11 right now(0.0008/Mh/day), so two are the things whales don't have any interest in this dev cheats checking is actually working |

How could it be checked if somebody has more than one account? You even don't have to confirm your email address to signup. And even if you did, there are tons of disposable email services (more so, opening an email account on, for example, gmail is also not a trouble - you can easily have tens of emails). Blocking by IP address also can't prevent people with multiple accounts if they're mining with rented rigs... The system is easily abusable. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... dunno about what the dev is doing for this scenario, he said nothing about this |

I think this one is following a XC pattern. Miners might create more than one account on more than one pool. I don't know if that is being monitored by Minerals and do those people's hashrate is being summed up to see if they are abusing the system. And this might go way beyond 300mh/s...

miners can just create 1 worker per pool, with a total of 300mh/s each, there is no restriction for that apparently...
