22921  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think to the president of the Philippines? on: January 01, 2017, 09:54:05 AM
IMO its the way of Duterte to prove that even if U.S. stops helping the Philippines there are other countries that we can seek for help or partnership

www.forbes.com/sites/ralphjennings/2016/10/26/japan-will-give-the-philippines-more-aid-than-china-but-not-as-fast/?client=ms-android-sonymobile

This is another major foreign policy blunder from Barack Obama. Just because he doesn't like Duterte, he is allowing China to assert its influence in Philippines. Obama must have remembered that Philippines is the most important ally of the US in the South-east Asian region. He shouldn't have allowed his personal relationship with Duterte to ruin this old friendship.
22922  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: January 01, 2017, 09:46:09 AM
Plus, it makes good people more vulnerable !

That is exactly the aim behind gun control. Leftist parties such as the Democrat party in the United States want to protect burglars and home invaders from the rifles and shotguns of the home owners.

Good luck and best wishes. I live in Europe but I wish to do the same, to move somewhere else just like that. But maybe some day  Cool

Why don't you consider New Zealand? In my opinion, New Zealand is the most beautiful place on the earth. It is English speaking, and the crime rate is extremely low. Also, the climate is very similar to that in Europe.

22924  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Preparation for Death. Cremation or Burial? on: January 01, 2017, 09:29:57 AM
When nuclear war comes, there will be a lot of folks who will be cremated without being ready for it. Even many of the already dead ones, who are buried in above ground mausoleums will be cremated. Of course, they won't know it either.

Cool

It is not a proper cremation. In a proper cremation, the flesh and the bones are reduced to ashes. But in case of a nuclear war, you will be left with half-burnt bodies (check the photographs taken after the nuclear attack in Hiroshima and Nagasaki).
22925  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why bitcoins illegal ???? on: January 01, 2017, 09:26:11 AM
Plus, it can be hard to trace many transactions and implementing taxes can be near impossible not unless you can really be so honest with your dealings online.

Although Bitcoin transactions are hard to trace, once you convert your coins to fiat it becomes easier for the government to track you (that is, unless you are exchanging for physical cash). So honesty doesn't matter.
Since you made bitcoin transactions, I don't think it would be easier for the government to track you if you exchange it for physical cash. Unless you did illegal activities and someone reported you, that is the time, government will focus on you and will find way to track you.

Yes.. physical cash is difficult to track. But then, in order to exchange your coins for physical cash, you'll be engaging in some form of communication (emails, phone calls.etc). These communications can be tracked.

The island of Mindanao is always problematic... with a significant Muslim minority. It seems like Muslims are unable to live peacefully with adherents of any other religion, anywhere on the earth.
22927  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Istanbul attack: Dozens killed at Turkish nightclub on: January 01, 2017, 09:15:48 AM
It is really sad that so many people died. But the blame must be put solely on Erdogan. This incident might have never occurred, had he refrained from helping various Islamist factions in Syria.
22928  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: January 01, 2017, 09:13:20 AM
Other meat of their effect on the human body. For example pork is very rich in harmful bacteria are destroyed only at high temperature, and the human is even worse.

Any type of edible meat, if properly prepared is safe to eat. On the other hand, the vast majority of the food poisoning cases now occur due to contaminated fruits, seaweed, and vegetables.
22929  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Afghan criminals who gang-raped little boy granted residency in Sweden on: January 01, 2017, 09:10:41 AM
You mean like Europeans did in North America with the natives?
Or like Europeans did in Australia with the aborigines?

You can't compare something that happened hundreds of years ago, to what is going on now in Europe. If the Europeans were treating the Australian and the American natives harshly, then the Arabs were dishing out even more cruelty to those natives in Sudan and Zanzibar. Arabs are responsible for much more ethnic cleansing and slave-riding expeditions, than the Europeans.
22930  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Fails to Break $1000 in 2016 on: December 31, 2016, 06:56:05 AM
I am surprised at this post. It is still too early to say that BTC has failed to break in to the four-digit exchange rate. We still have somewhere around 12-14 hours to go, and considering Bitcoin's past history, I would say that there is still a good chance to achieve the $1,000 per coin exchange rate.
22931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: December 31, 2016, 06:49:56 AM
If ever the government will regulate bitcoin, it cannot still be fully regulated because we will continue to be anonymous since the system is designed to be decentralized, once decentralized it will connect us with being anonymous and maybe when the government will make strict polity towards it, people will not continue to support bitcoin.

At the most, the government can regulate the conversion of BTC to fiat, and vice versa. It is not possible for the government to monitor and regulate Bitcoin transactions from one wallet to another.
22932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: December 31, 2016, 06:45:18 AM
heard about that as well. in the adult industry there are people selling videos and even the worst child porno film ever that you would see is sold for btc.
i never saw some but i just read some posts on the adult forums about it.

Do you have any proof for this? I have heard about drugs being available for Bitcoins. But none of the dark-markets (those which are currently operating and those which were shut down) are selling CP. Pedos are having other online modes of payment.

Have you guys thought of what your going to do with your bitcoins when you die? is there any family member who is also into BTC to which you can hand it over??

This is a major issue. No one in my family, apart from me knows that I own Bitcoins. The private keys are with me. So if I die suddenly, then these coins will become unusable.

Why dont you make a will and put the instructions for them in the will?

I am in my late 20s, and I don't think that I need to write down a will in the near to medium term. Writing a will is a bit expensive as well. My Bitcoin holdings will remain a secret, until I cash them out.
22934  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: December 31, 2016, 06:39:46 AM
you sound like you care for the philippines so much just like the previous president who care the filipinos so much that he gave everything including drugs. and his vice president who wants to prove how easy it is to buy meth on every city. and yes that vice president publicly say he can buy drugs anywhere.

So my question is, has these people (previous president and veep) shot dead by the vigilantes? If NO is the answer, then it just corroborates with what I said earlier. The current crackdown is only targeting the small fish.

22936  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why bitcoins illegal ???? on: December 31, 2016, 06:33:02 AM
No one said it was illegal. But no one has admitted it.

You are wrong. Some countries, such as Switzerland and Singapore have legalized Bitcoin, and have even introduced laws aimed at its regulation. On the other hand, only a few countries (such as Vietnam and Iceland) have banned it explicitly.
22937  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why isn't public transport free? on: December 31, 2016, 04:09:09 AM
In my opinion public transport simply can't be free because, first of all, such category of service requires certain expenditures, for instance on petrol, bus drivers' engineers' salaries and vehicle maintenance and/or renewal. second of all, according to lies, which our "precious servants of the people" try to feed to us, governments can't provide us with this service for the same reasons, which have been elucidated in the first sentence. and also because public transport usually belongs to private companies Of course everybody (including me) wishes that public transport was free. had it been free, we would be able to save up more money and spend either on clothes, books, music notes, new cello or guitar strings, bouquets or posies for our significant others and music teachers etc.  Smiley on the other hand, we just have to find more alternative ways of earning money tax-free or we could strive to become the best at what we do and thus we will be able to earn money and stop wasting out time thinking how everything is expensive and unfair. Life is a cruel mistress, though worth fighting for. I wish all of us luck and more fighting spirit coz there will be a hell of battle in the future and bloodsheds, and triumphs afterwards...

If people avoid using their personal vehicles, and use public transport instead, then the government will be able to save a lot of money. The crude oil import bill will go down, and so will the maintenance bill for the roads.
22938  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Two Canadian Girls Arrested for Scamming Nigerian Prince on: December 31, 2016, 03:50:41 AM
Don't mess with billionaires. Compared to an average day person they have enough money and connections to ruin you. They could ruin you in so many ways, putting dozens of buffers in between that your ruined life could never be linked to them.

Not if the billionaire is retarded. Anyway, what he is going to do, if these girls manage to get out of Nigeria? His power is limited to Nigeria. Outside that country, he can't do anything.

He has a lot of money, he can hire many bad guys and make these women's lives a hell.

Not if the girls manage to get back to Canada. Since they are Canadian nationals, they will get protection from the Canadian law enforcement agencies. His tricks may work in Africa, but not in Canada.

Why were they provoking an African billionaire? What do these women have in their heads?

Do you believe 100% of what he is saying? Something is fishy here.
22939  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: December 31, 2016, 03:47:44 AM
I support the idea that there were no drugs. But I'm not sure that these measures are rational. And I hope that will not be harmed innocent people

Collateral damage is quite natural, when thousands of people are killed. I am quite sure that at least 20% or 25% of those who were killed so far were innocent people, who had nothing to do with drugs.
22940  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What's your opinion of gun control? on: December 31, 2016, 03:46:12 AM
Beside having a Gun Control owners should also be more calm and ensure that their mood won't affect on thwir decision when using it.

There is no way to ensure this. A person who seems calm and peaceful today may be the one who kills a few dozen tomorrow in a terrorist attack. Mood depends on a lot of things.

So the only viable method is to remove guns from the criminals, and the mentally deranged, and allow gun ownership for everyone else.
