2015 will be the year of cryptonote technology.

OH no, you're not one of those altcoin monero/Cryptonote dudes are you?   Undecided

Don't see Cryptonote anywhere, perhaps in another lifetime?

Anyways, here's what Cryptonote developers had to say about integrating into the Blockchain recently:

What other forum site is there about Bitcoin?  Before I became an active member of this site and was still learning about Bitcoin, this and Reddit seemed like the only 2 communities that had decent activity.

There are quite many of which this forum is one: https://www.bitcoinforum.com/index.php

I am still a member of this forum which was quite active earlier but now very few topics are being created and hardly I can see any interaction.

Didn't know or hear about that one, thanks for forwarding that link.

I only signed up over here, because of the chosen one set it up...

2303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The Media's Effect To Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2015, 03:49:01 PM
This just gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when Wall Street Journal made it the top headline of their print newspaper:

Wall Street Journal is definitely giving Bitcoin a "bullish vibe.

Here's some examples for what you can buy with Bitcoin:

All are real, physical things too, by the way.  Bitcoin isn't just for digital goods and services.

Yes and with respect to bitcoins, I only see this forum having active members who are earning and selling bitcoins for goods or products else reddit is one site where some people discuss about bitcoins. I was a member of another bitcoin forum that was very active in 2013 but it is almost dead now.

What other forum site is there about Bitcoin?  Before I became an active member of this site and was still learning about Bitcoin, this and Reddit seemed like the only 2 communities that had decent activity.
2308  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: March 16, 2015, 02:35:55 PM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if Bitcoin fiat price spiked to the moon and I was somehow on my deathbed, to help out my wife and my child live comfortably.

No reason to take Bitcoins with you to the grave, give them to your loved ones.  If they had no idea how to use them, then I'd just cash them out for my family before I cashed out...
2309  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 by Sunday on: March 16, 2015, 02:28:23 PM
Well I guess it wasn't in the cards for $350 this Sunday, March 15th... Cry

We still have plenty of Sundays in the year left though!  Hoping for $350 by early May now....on a Sunday!!!   Grin
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look at where I am planning to go with BTC :) on: March 16, 2015, 02:24:16 PM

From now on I will save from the bitcoin for the tour to Europe .   Grin Grin
But if there are hotels that accept bitcoin there huh ?  Huh

If you need to book hotels, Expedia accepts Bitcoin:

2311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multiple wallets on: March 16, 2015, 02:19:07 PM
Multiple Wallets, sure.  Especially if you make several transactions between desktop, mobile, paper, and hardware wallets.

For example, you can have your main wallet addresses on your PC with say Bitcoin Core or Electrum.  Then when you need to spend some say to buy a coffee, you could transfer to your mobile phone's wallet which is say Mycellium or Blockchain wallet for small amounts.  Then when you're ready to backup or secure your wallet stash, you'd create a paper wallet or secure it in a Trezor or Ledger hardware wallet.

All are valid uses and all multiple different wallet variations.  Cheers!
2312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: March 16, 2015, 01:50:22 PM
All the Gox'ing, Stamp'ing, Mycoin'ing, Neo and Bees, and continuous scams will prevent Bitcoin from maturing and taking off if only the 200,000 or so Bitcoin users in the world use it.  Need to add a few a more decimals to that figure, and only way to do that is to provide protection.

Sure. In the fiat world we never ever seen any scams... bankers, brokers and politicians are all honest blokes. Do you guys really this naive?

In the fiat world, you've never heard of the NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ, CME, CBOT, etc run off with their customers money.

I know you guys all want your cake and eat it too, but the mainstream won't buy into Bitcoin without consumer protection and insurance like they're used to.  Not saying alot of these banks are perfect or aren't corrupt forces, but when's the last time you've heard of a major exchange like say the NASDAQ run off with like a half a billion dollars without recourse?
2313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: March 13, 2015, 02:43:44 PM
Agreed ^. Bitcoin runs completely fine without any governmental intrusion or regulation. The network and users regulates itself and that is the beauty of bitcoin. People were using and transacting with it just fine for years without any regulation so I don't see your logic.

How much like a couple thousand? Trust me bitcoin won't go mainstream if its not regulated, 99% of people won't use it.

Have to whole-heartedly agree there.  Bitcoin will die before it's even out of beta, if we don't get things like consumer and fraud protection in place.  Insurance is another factor.

2314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best wallet in the world? on: March 13, 2015, 02:24:38 PM
If you have the disk space and patience to wait several hours, want to serve as a Bitcoin node, the most functional and most supported, not to mention "the official wallet" by Bitcoin core devs, it's none other than Bitcoin Core.

If you don't want to download the entire Blockchain, than electrum or armory should do.
2315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this genuis or stupid? on: March 13, 2015, 02:06:58 PM
BitShares or BitUsd?  Going out on a limb and calling this stupid.

Here's what the lead developer of BitShares had to say about this project:

2316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IBM Rumored to Be Developing Bitcoin Alternative on: March 13, 2015, 02:01:45 PM
Yes, I heard them officially say that they were going to use the blockchain technology. But I don't think they will make their own coin.

They'll peg their "payment system" to whatever the local currency is: Dollar, Euro, etc...

They'll make their own Blockchain like tech, but not off the original, so essentially an Alt Chain.

So Not a cryptocurrency per se, but payment system + Alt chain, and to make things easier for naming purposes, we all joke or jest to say IBM Coin even though IBM Pay is probably closer to the truth.
