It's vitally important for newbies like myself to hear the big league player speak so that we could pick-up on the clues ...

when they talk something was planned, something will happen, and they want to benefit for it, the question is which way does the message lead.

thanks I saw that

I'm no developer so if there is someone that knows how to use the reference to create clones for various coins that would be great.

if you google: "Make Clone Of App Script For Cryptocurrency Faucet" you should see my odesk listing in which I reference that site in a different way.

2305  Economy / Auctions / Overscratched $10 USA iTunes Gift Card ... auction #2 on: February 24, 2014, 04:08:44 PM
Selling An Overscratched USA $10 iTunes Gift Card

Armis does many promos involving itunes gift cards, a while back we did a number of promotions where $10 gift cards codes was the prize.

The way we transferred the instrument was to scratch off the 'scratch off' to reveal the code then scan it for email delivery.  At times overzealous scratching resulted in removal of part of the code. since the card has no expiration date we decided to 'bank' the overscratched cards for some subsequent promotion.   Although we had many other itunes promotions since we never went back to those cards, we always bought new ones.

I have many $10 iTunes gift cards that I intend to auction off individually.

Auction will start at only $8 to encourage an early response.  You may pay with any equivalent value currency listed on the Cryptsy or Poloniex exchange.

After receipt of payment and your email address I will scan then eship your gift card to you.  Upon receipt contact Apple customer service with the GCA# who will in turn give you the remaining numbers missing from the code.

Auction is one day only (24 hrs from the start of auction)

good luck and enjoy

2309  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Need Faucet Developer on: February 24, 2014, 01:32:30 PM
I need some faucets, if you know how to make faucets let me know, I have customers waiting.

you need to make/buy/ what Huh Smiley

"I need a faucet, give it to me?"
Smiley

Sorry about the confusion, all of the above:

I need faucets made for a faucet website, the site will start with a minimum of 10 facets but will likely max at 50.
I would like to have a web development partner, if that is not possible then I would be open to pay a freelancer(s) for each faucet produced

Clones of existing faucets are fine, even open source script is fine, the point is I need a reliable person to add and maintain the faucets.

various developers will fund the faucets, advertisers will fund the endeavor.

Depening on what each person brings to the table will determine the partnership split arrangement.   If freelance then faucet can be negotiated individually or as a package.

2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Foundation member confirm MtGox Malleability trans. Claim? on: February 24, 2014, 12:04:44 PM
Hi
Can please a Core developer or a Bitcoin foundation member confirm whether the Malleability transaction problem has a truth to it?

thx

The Malleability issuse is a known problem to insiders since 2011.

The better question to ask is, how many issues like the Malleability problem exist within the protocol.   Each of such problems represent a 'trump' card that any exchange could play to manipulate the market or exploit it's customers at any time.

2312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox CEO resigns from Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 07:06:04 AM
The thread on the foundation's board was interesting:

https://bitcoinfoundation.org/forum/index.php?/topic/740-petition-to-remove-mark-karpeles-from-the-bitcoin-foundation-board/

I would have loved to have been a fly on the virtual wall for some of their internal discussions over this, as I don't think it very likely that the other board members would have remained totally silent until Karpeles out of nowhere would just offer his resignation.

Do they now have a problem with quorum? A poster there mentioned that they had to add two board spots to have a chance at quorum, and that losing Karpeles would cause problems there again.

After reading the first page of that my neck got tired of shaking back and forth.

I could not believe that they confused 'membership revocation' with 'director removal'.   Just because you remove someone from the board doesn't mean that you remove them as a member of the community.   Clearly, if you remove them from the community they are automatically removed from the board if membership is required to be a board member.

2313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox CEO resigns from Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 06:47:25 AM
I don't know about anyone else but I'm gonna celebrate when Gox false off of the Internet.

They caused enough trouble, be great for another more competent exchange with better software take over, such as Kraken.

You know what, given the whole air of impropriety and malfeasance people continued, and still today, continue to invest in Mt. Gox btc, so I no longer wish them gone, I now see that people like them are necessary evils for the market to operate in a way that values excellence and integrity.

"Mt Gox" type businesses will always exist in the cryptocurrency industry.

2317  Economy / Speculation / Re: Max Keiser Predicts $750-$800 This Coming Week on: February 24, 2014, 03:41:05 AM
I don't trust Max, but BTC is oversold and likely to Rally this week  Smiley

what do you mean by oversold?

Nevermind, I got it :

"Oversold

The term “oversold” is used to describe a market that has declined or pulled back to a point at which, historically, it has tended to reverse and move higher. Oversold is the opposite of overbought.

To identify oversold conditions in markets, traders and investors use technical indicators known as oscillators. One of the more popular oscillators for identifying overbought conditions is the Relative Strength Index.

Trading strategies that are designed to buy markets that are oversold are often called “pullback” or “mean reversion” strategies. These strategies look to buy markets that are in longer-term uptrends, but have moved lower in the short term. As a short term trading strategy, pullback or mean reversion strategies that buy markets that are oversold tend to sell those markets after they have rallied into strength."

2318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Developers Should Be Paid on: February 23, 2014, 01:03:23 PM
and coin owners get to vote
By this you mean miners, since they can exclude from the consensus votes which they do not like. Bitcoin like systems, at least, are not jamming proof networks.

the more shenanigans that take place the less stable and reliable the cryptocurrency will be, if the system requires perfect security in order to move it won't move.
2319  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Criminal complaint against Mt. Gox and Mark Karpeles on: February 23, 2014, 12:43:59 PM
There's an embarrassing irony, watching libertarian bitcoiners, passionate about a currency that doesn't depend on the government, screaming for the protection of the SEC.

If Mt Gox has a small team working on solving this, and they are as incompetent as everyone says, holding them up in a law suit isn't going to make them fix the problem any faster. If they were insolvent then I would hope they would have had the good sense to tap into this ongoing arbitrage opportunity which they have exclusive access to, in order to balance their books by now, and there's plenty of cash for everyone.

As far as I can tell, Bitcoin's fiat withdrawal hasn't ever been halted. Didn't I read that in a MT Gox press release? One of the tiny bits of information they have given out. It's still as painfully slow (over a month) as it's always been. All you have to do is ask for your cash. Has anyone read through the terms and conditions we signed up for when we opened our MT Gox accounts? Does it say anything about timely access to fiat and BTC?

These guys (at mt gox) are clearly not the sharpest tools in the box, under resourced, badly managed, indifferent to the balling of their customers, but right now, letting them get on with their IT fix is the best we can do.

Disclosure: I have a good few BTC in MT Gox and would very much like to get it out to Bitstamp asap. I have no doubts that MTGox has enough cash and BTC to cover my investment. My only doubt is if they have the wherewithal to develop their software solution this side of March.

they may have enough to cover you, but not enough to cover everyone all at the same time.

they said they fixed the problem, now it's a matter of allowing for the faucet drip of withdrawals to take place,

they have not decided when that will take place so that simply compounds the air of impropriety at Mt. Gox

You said you believe they are solvent, and you said you have btc there, you also indicated that you know you can take fiat out, so my question is have you allowed your fiat to remain there or have you removed your fiat?
2320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core Developers Should Be Paid on: February 23, 2014, 12:24:20 PM

and so too may be the current recipe we are stewing in

the alt coin are not absolute clones of btc for a reason, most of the alt developers decided to improve on btc in various ways as you see in an earlier post one coin already solved the issue of this thread in their coin

Bitcoin it's a religion, it's a money scheme that could be used for many different purposes, and ONLY reason why it took off so fast and so high is because you can make lots of money really fast, without that motivation people leave the endeavor behind in the blink of an eye.

I don't understand what you mean.. people made money really fast without the devs being paid, so you're saying that if the devs are paid, what will happen? It doesn't make sense.

What motivation? The ability to make money with BTC as a user or being paid to develop BTC?

dude, you took everything out of context, I invite you to go back to the post that I was replying to when I provided my comment to get the proper perspective.
