Double MN reward to 40%. But wouldn't raising reward increase node count? You see where this is going? To the moon. 40% of coins that were mined by miners ? who would mine then the coin ? when almost 1/2 of your work is just taken away ? Is rewarding master nodes, and taking money from the miners the way to go ? Not going to happen don't worry. |

And everyone bitching about '500 MNs isn't decentralised!' should dwell for a moment on pools vs p2pool and shift their rigs to p2pool. In fact I would be VERY happy to see some kind of incentive to increase p2pool adoption beyond the obvious one that it makes the currency more resilient and is in everyone's interest anyway. And the number of possible masternodes is limited to total minted coins/1000, so ~4300 theoretical max MNs about now. (Assuming the 1000DRK requirement remains the same) - I think we'll settle at about a thousand, which in terms of ROI is still bloody fantastic by most investment standards. |

All these coins are based on 20-30 year old research anyway and they all have their weaknesses.
When the guvthugs put a gun to your head, the cryptography employed doesn't really matter. Privacy != security. Worth bearing the bigger picture in mind now and again. |
