2301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is ageing and old people part of bitcoin? on: March 12, 2023, 09:32:50 PM
Do you think our ageing parents are into crypto investment or trading? Some of them are sound and intelligent and they can comfortable operates their tabs while relaxing. If they're probably into crypto why are some of them advising their children to diseased from internet?
Very few of them are and they are the ones who were ahead in time compared to their own generation, so naturally they are prone to adopt new things their fellows who belong to the same generation aren't. Of course, the regional factor also plays a big role, what means an elder from a country like UK, Germany or USA is much more likely to adopt bitcoin than an elder from third world countries, who have never had any contact with technology and modernity along their lives.

For your second question, the answer will depend on who you are talking about. The old people who are part of bitcoin aren't advising their children to stay away from internet. So there is no inconsistency on this behavior from them.
2302  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: March 12, 2023, 07:11:56 PM
Wrong lifestyle, wrong mindset, lack of opportunities, negative consequences from early childhood, traumas, depression, toxic environment, low self-esteem, physical disabilities... There are many different possibilities on why someone stays poor and each case has to be identified and studies particularly through observation techniques in order to reach the correct approach on how to revert the situation on the life of the individual, so he can finally start thriving in life.
2303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think that there will be a new technology to recover lost of Bitcoin on: March 12, 2023, 06:25:08 PM
I don't think so, because the system was perfectly developed to not allow such recoveries. People need to learn the importance of keeping their keys and passwords safely stored, without expecting an alternative solution is going to appear in order to allow them recover their coins, because it's actually not going to happen at all. Otherwise, it would mean the end of bitcoin, as others said, due to the fact it would be possible to "recover" (steal) coins from other people's wallets.
2304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Street Gambling Risk on: March 12, 2023, 03:57:24 PM
The problem with street gambling is that what reigns is the law of the jungle. There are no guarantees, it's a wild environment. If even aware about that you are fine with the possibility of getting yourself into serious trouble, who am I to say to you to not go ahead?

Personally I think it's too exhausting and annoying. Something that was supposed to be funny and enjoyable becomes stressful, as instead of worrying about the game, you will be worried about hostile people around can do against you.

And since nowadays we have online gambling, which ensures safety and legitimacy, I see no reason why an individual would appeal to street gambling, taking all its risks.
2305  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: March 12, 2023, 03:49:34 PM
I doubt this, Funtoken have been around since 2017 and it's all time high was 0.33$, till this day it has never get back to it's all time high again, how is that if this token is really useful as you claimed? With whooping 10billiom max supply,  I think it's stupid to hold such token when there are too many useful tokens out there, it thus seem like Funtoken is one of the best gambling token out there, if that's what this is all about,  then I apologize,  but so far,  the performance is getting worse, when it comes to the bull market and past price actions.
I believe 0,33$ is really not feasible, because if we look the charts we will see it was FUN's price on the moment of the launchment of the token. After that the price totally crashed and haven't returned to such price range anymore. However, I still think it can do better than right now in a bullish scenario.

Being realistic, I think a 0,04$ or 0,05$ can be expected in a situation where crypto market as a whole pumps nicely, what means a pretty decent profit around 700% could be made.
2306  Economy / Gambling / Re: Freebitco.in - FUN Token Investment Experiment on: March 11, 2023, 03:37:26 PM
CURRENTLY BENEFITS

ANOTHER MONTH WON (07/02/2023 - 08/03/2023) ROI - 16,1587%

Almost 1,58% profit made this month. There aren't any news to point out anymore until the investment matures to its full potential, after an entire year holding. Progressive returns must stay on this range of 1,5% monthly by there.

2307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 11, 2023, 03:09:27 PM
Apart from the macro environment factor, what truly holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? Please let me know your thoughts.
I avoid altcoins investments due to the uncertainity regards their real potential on long term. While with bitcoin we know it's going to do well within time, since it's not replaced by other cryptocurrencies, the same can't be said about an altcoin in particular, as they are constantly fluctuating in ranking positions on the market. The currently top 10 cryptos won't remain the same in 1 or 2 years, with the exception of bitcoin and probably ethereum, but all the rest is likely to change. So, altcoins lack solidity, that is a big cons.
2308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Gambling Legalization Reduce Gambling Rings? on: March 11, 2023, 02:15:09 PM
First of all there is no real need to go in these illegal gambling rings as in Internet now there is an opportunity for anyone who wants to play and with crypto this is even easier.I have heard a lot of bad things about these illegal rings and no I am not talking about being scammed as that is mainstream in these rings,I have even seen stories of people who had kill one person who kept winning at poker so these are truly dangerous and legalizing the gambling will not help much as these rings entice users by offering higher rewards than normal casinos.

It is user and gambler awareness that should be the real medicine for people to stop going to such places and risk their lives there.
I agree with you, however, we have to keep in mind not everyone has access to internet, especially elders who don't dominate technology, so they still resort to illegal gambling services when living in countries where the activity is forbidden by authorities. It would be totally positive for these people if gambling were legalized by the local governments and it would also have a powerful impact on the weakening of gambling rings, although I don't think they can completely disappear.
2309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto related jobs on: March 11, 2023, 02:04:12 PM
Are you looking for jobs which demand specific professional skills or micro jobs/tasks any person can execute with minimum knowledge and skills? Crypto jobs in general are quite scarce and competitive, because there are lots of people applying for them in real time, some working for very low payrates just to get rid of competitors and guarantee a spot. Some time ago I joined Picoworkers and Rapidworkers platforms, but didn't stay there for too long...
2310  Economy / Gambling / Re: What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members. on: March 11, 2023, 01:55:01 PM
This feature isn't necessary if you think like this: imagine the more reputation an official casino account has here on bitcointalk, given by other forum members, more "stars" they have. So, very reputable casinos with a lot of positive feedbacks could be considered to have 4-5 stars, while the ones which have few or none feedbacks are the neutral ones with average 2-3 stars, and the the ones negatively reviewed are the worst ones with 0-1 stars.

Actually, the system here is pretty original and unique compared to other gambling reviews websites, while also working finely.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too harsh on user? on: March 10, 2023, 06:34:18 PM
More details are needed. Did your friend use the platform with a same account through 2 different SIM cards, or was he multiaccounting the platform? If so, why was that necessary? It might have indeed raised suspicions on the platform operators' side.

However, the procedure isn't correct without asking for KYC first. The website should have given him the opportunity to show the documents to prove he wasn't cheating the house.

Or maybe the casino did this before finally seizing the funds? It's really hard to talk about something when a lot of essential informations are missing.
2312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which cryptocurrency do you prefer the most to accept payments in? on: March 10, 2023, 05:57:18 PM
Of course it's bitcoin, since it's the first cryptocurrency coming in our minds when we think about this matter. Every businesses accepting crypto as payment method accept bitcoin. On the other hand, not every businesses accepting crypto as payment accept altcoins, including stablecoins. So bitcoin is the most popular among all and the first choice when doing business with crypto.

I see no reason to decide for a different answer for this question, logically and practically speaking.
2313  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 10, 2023, 04:02:16 PM
Instead of adapting your strategy to the FED's movements, I think it's better to just focus on the halving event. Historically it has proved to be solid, while being a sure thing. Independent of groups' decisions and manipulative measures we know it's going to happen in a fixed date, so everyone can prepare for it with equal chances, different from FED's actions which only reach to you through news' portals after the whales and insiders already had access to it in first hand, putting them in a very superior position against average investors like us.
2314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: im new to this bitcoin business on: March 10, 2023, 02:52:46 PM
the year is young and im ready to start investing !!! i heard this stuff is how u make millions. we're making it out of the cold streets of hull foreal!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin GrinBTC
It depends on how much you are willing to invest and for how long you will hold. For small investors who buy 100$ in btc or something like that, it's unlikely they are going to make millions, also because right now bitcoin is in a more advanced stage compared to its early years of existence, so percentage increasements in price tend to be lower. Bitcoin is a good investment and it does return nicely on long term, but it's not a magical "Midas touch" which is going to turn everything around into gold without any challenges.
2315  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 10, 2023, 12:53:00 PM
Low rewards from WOF this time, but at least a golden ticket came as consolation prize... I think the 5000 satoshis or RPs prizes still worth more than a golden ticket, because it's a sure win, while the GT is likely to be included on the same category of lottery tickets, which don't reward you anything after all. What do you think?

2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A remark on casino bonuses on: March 10, 2023, 12:47:09 AM
I think OP is correct. It would be much more benefical for casinos if viewers were instantly redirected to the promotion's page, because when the banner sends the public to the registration page, many people lose interest because they are lazy to fulfill the whole signing up process first, so they immediately lose interest and don't go ahead. Promotions would have a more notorious impact if it was simple as click, deposit, play and try achieving the requirements demanded.
2317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to better promote our project effectively ? on: March 09, 2023, 06:58:44 PM

As you may know or not, FireDAO is a newly launched project that intends to build an on-chain economy based on DID system and SBTs. I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community buildup. To be honest, to promote a new project is never easy and I was wondering what strategies or measures you would use to promote FireDAO effectively. We are open to any advice and also questions that relate to FireDAO. Please share your views. Thanks.
Strong capital builds a community with promotional methods and professional teams in their respective fields. As we know, not a few projects were stopped in the middle of the road due to the withdrawal of the team or lack of funds in carrying out promotions. In the crypto industry when a project that shows half a step gets abandoned so public trust and investment decline. Then run according to the roadmap, and increase interaction with the community both on Twitter, Telegram, and the like. Launch an incentive Testnet to test the legitimacy of your project that demonstrates a serious commitment to community support.
Yes, a decent budget allocated to marketing sector is a must when persuing efficient propaganda methods. The more money the team has under their disposal, the more professional and contagious will be the marketing.

There is the cheap and the expensive route. The cheap one is to promote through spam most commonly at social medias and Telegram groups. The expensive one is to seek for a celebrity or media's channel to display ads, this way the project will gain much more notoriety and reach more people at same time.
2318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will accepting cryptocurrency as a payment be profitable for business? on: March 09, 2023, 05:50:14 PM
I don't know about the merchant's side of the transaction because I've never been on that side. If Bitcoin's fees are lower than for traditional payment methods (like with a debit card, Google Pay), that's great news. But the fee may be high for the customer, then, right?
I think bitcoin transactions are only cheaper in comparison with international credit card transactions.

Also, I don't think the focus in this question should be on the fees anyway because Bitcoin's volatility is a more pressing matter. If a merchant accepts BTC and keeps the payments of customers in BTC (as there's always an option of accepting BTC but converting to fiat), then they are taking a risk. In the long run, it may be profitable. But if monthly and even quarter profits are counted, the value can easily be down. What should also be accounted for is whether a merchant has to pay additional taxes for accepting Bitcoin.
There are different factors which will influence if it's profitable for the business or not to adopt bitcoin as payment method. The target public must be receptive to the idea of using bitcoin or they must be already bitcoin enthusiasts, otherwise it won't make much difference.

Anyway, it doesn't hurt to dispose an extra payment method to customers. In every cases it's better to adopt btc on the business, because at least merchants will be helping to introduce it (even if just for educational purposes) to more people.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you Bet on a Fight that is Scripted? on: March 09, 2023, 05:06:35 PM
It's funny they say the fight is scripted, but the results are kept in secret, what isn't true at all, since results aren't a secret for the person who scripted the fight and can leak the informations to anyone he wants, besides the actors involved and so on. Wink

For me it looks a money making method for insiders of the industry and not gambling at all. The probabilities of cheating by the people on the top of the pyramid is just too high.
2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Guidelines for European Online Gambling Operators on: March 09, 2023, 04:47:08 PM
There isn't an agency responsible for this matter yet, because the regulatory guidelines aren't clear enough about online gambling in the country yet (grey area).

However, there are news saying the governments is willing to regulate it in details this year, due to the raising popularity of sports betting services and frauds involved on the process by scammers.

I believe by the end of this year we are already going to have more updates regards gambling regulations here, although I'm fearful, because it was also said companies will have to be based on the country to be allowed to operate.
