The match schedules for next season will be published at 17th of June. That way this season has turned out to be really great and even though it was a little expected that Schalke and Werder Bremen is going to do very well in this season I think there was still a lot of suspense almost till the end of the season. In the next season, I am hopeful about Hamburger, Darmstadt, and St Pauli. I believe these teams had genuine chances and they will also play well in the next season. It will be also interesting to see how the teams that have been promoted to the Bundesliga do in the next season. |

I was very contented with the title race this season. It lasted until the final week of the season and the last matches were really great too. The competition this season between Manchester city and Liverpool was a good one, the both teams shows us stuffs that they are made of, at the end of the season, the best team won the trophy. All credits goes to city for a job well done. The match between Aston Villa and Manchester City was very exciting. The city's performance was good. But after falling behind 2-0, it was very difficult to win the match. Even if the match was drawn, City could not win the title. FC Bayern extends Manuel Neuer's contract until 6.2024. This means he would be for 13 years in a row for FCB. He is 36 years old and possibly his last extension as goalkeeper. And he remains captain of the team. Manuel Neuer is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and was World Champion with Germany in 2014. He has won so many titles, 10 German Championships and 2x the Champions League. But at 36, his reflexes are slowing down and he will have to be replaced in the next years.
To be honest, sometimes I feel a little sad for this goalkeeper. If not for the injuries that he has had in his career he would have surely been the best goalkeeper for a long time. Hyderabad was not adept in fielding and performed below expectations, which cost them, as they were simply blown away by Punjab's power. The run rate was low from the start of Hyderabad's innings. At the end of 16 overs, their collection was probably 99 runs. Collecting 6 runs per over for a platform like IPL is a very low collection. They scored 48 runs in the 17th to 19th overs. If they could have kept the run rate at least 8 from the start of the match, they would have undoubtedly given more than 180 targets. It was very difficult to win with a target of 158 runs. |
