Where are you shipping from and what are you looking to get let me know thanks.

Btccrazy

US and:
Going to put this up here to make life easier then a bunch of PM's asking what I want.  I am asking around 900 + shipping currently.   This machine is over 6.5 S5's in power and more efficient then s5.
2322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Hands On]Yubikey - Help secure your digital assets - Including Blockchain.info on: February 07, 2016, 04:16:24 PM
Great guide. I have at least 10 different yubikeys, one of almost every type. I love them and use them for everything.

I have one programmed for static password, so it outputs the same password every time. I use that to unlock my KeePass database. Smiley

Glad to hear another person using them!  They really are a great physical key for security.    I love they they are not tied down to one thing, there are a ton of more things they can do that I scrapped the surface and focused on bitcoin and site security.

Some programs such as Laspass also also allow multiple.  So great to be able to use multiple Yubikeys to one sign-in.
2323  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet? on: February 07, 2016, 04:12:33 PM
From what I remember, Blockchsain.info has weak security and can be hacked. I use Blockchain on my Tab but I don't leave money in it. For the longest time I've been using Bitcoin Core. It's more secure than Blockchain. Yes it's slower and you have to pay for it but it is more secure.

If using it treat blockchain.info as a hot wallet.  There are uses for them, but they should not have a ton in it.  More like daily spend account for BTC.

Also you can add 2 factor I recently went with Yubikey testing it with blockchain.info and it worked great - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1353231.0

i think teamweaver would be the best choice for you .

Teamviewer is easiest and best option if was just him.  I think problem was he was looking into hosting others..... so they it brings up things like this.

I don't see most setting up access for outside world, but guess we will see.   It's a double edge sword as most don't want their miner open to the world, and would prefer behind a firewall.
2325  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Diff thread Jan 26 to Feb 9 picks are closed. 0.2btc prize on: February 07, 2016, 04:04:55 PM
Congratz Kexkey  on win.  And ouch this one did not go the way I was hoping it would.  +20 is higher then I like to see.

Hopefully next week will be easier, but it's starting pretty strong it looks like.
2326  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newbie here - which low budget miner to get? on: February 07, 2016, 04:00:42 PM

...Given the price for my current, I pay 1.1€/day to keep a 700W miner running,..

700W = 16.8Kw a day

Paying 110 cents for that = 6.55 cents per Kwh. That is actually quite good for mining.

with the current diff and the future one, i think not even 0.05 will save your ass in the future, the s7 is already doing only 0.03, when it was 0.04, lost 1/4

it's a race war between efficiency and diff, at this point only trading with your hash will save you

With the current difficulty, S7 is making profit, so is s5.

the s7 noe, is losing half of its original production rate, 0.02 right now vs 0.04 at the beginning

the s5 is somehow trash right now if you don't have super very cheap electricity or better to have it for free at this point

That is the key on electricity costs.  Those with cheap/extremly cheap electricity are getting S5's at decent deals and can ROI possibly before having.   But takes the right cost, and price on miner.

S7 or Avalon 6 for most people currently.  But still some are set older gear that is good if price is right.
2327  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What mining hardware should I use? on: February 07, 2016, 03:56:41 PM
i suppose buying 4 gtx titan x it cost a lot but it has a lot of power in mining.

CPU/GPU/APU mining is now marked as unprofitable.
You are more likely to damage equipment more than making profits now.
ASIC mining dominates the field, unless you use a new altcoin and exchange itquickly while te price goes up.

And you really can damage equipment.  I remember the GPU day's very well was very fun mining, but if you pushed to hard you saw this magic smoke puff.  And you heard a noise.... they had amazing RMA policy's at the time 5+ years on some.  But they have tightened it up.

You might make profit on a GPU.  But I don't see making ROI. Most won't even get profit on it even. I don't even put my video cards through the stress of mining at this point.  I took 2 from then and still use them as graphic cards for games.
2328  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 21 cents per kw, Any way to mine? on: February 07, 2016, 03:53:07 PM
Right now i would not by any miner. Just wait for the next generation of miners.
The current batch is way overpriced and you will make a big loss on it.

It all depends on electricity price I would say.  Electricity price can make or break you.  I'm doing some moving around with miners doe to this.  But this 21 cent thread ... 21 cent day's are gone with current products.

So there are still people out there that are able to mine, just takes lower cotst.  And hopefully a little more value on btc would be nice for miners.
2329  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: selling miners on: February 07, 2016, 03:51:17 PM
My Avalon 6's are priced to sell - SOLD .  With me condensing mining I put it up for around 700 each (selling as pair).

Great miner's and never over volted.  So hopefully they find a new home Smiley .
2330  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - Bitmain S5 + (plus) 7.7 T miner. Great miner and works great. on: February 07, 2016, 03:41:06 PM
Well its a great deal considering $/ghs. For someone with cheap or free power the roi time on this is a lot better than an s7. Hell you could probably underclock it a bit and get it closer to s7 efficiency. If ya wanted to get crazy use some dc to dc converters and lower the input voltage too, to bad I couldn't run this thing in my house tho.... GLWS

Thanks it is a good deal as far as money per hash.  I'm still open to taking offers.  It has not sold yet.

PM sent back.  Still open to buy.

Going to put this up here to make life easier then a bunch of PM's asking what I want.  I am asking around 900 + shipping currently.   This machine is over 6.5 S5's in power and more efficient then s5.  900 is the 6.5 unit times 150 each (less then going rate).  And shipping I'm guessing around 75-100 depending on carrier.

But feel free to send offers.  If I accept anyone's offer I will post in thread.

Awesome price, i would totally take it if i could run it. I hope this find a nice new home.

Thanks I'm not trying  to get rich off of it compared to individual S5's I think it's priced to sell.... guess we will find out in a few days.

Should have put earlier but item is in US.   So guessing most offers will be US.  But since not trying to make money on shipping I'm not opposed to some other countries assuming buyer pays shipping.

2333  Economy / Computer hardware / SOLD! Bitmain S5 + (plus) 7.7 T miner. Great miner and works great. on: February 07, 2016, 04:50:38 AM
I am looking to sell my S5 + miner.   It was a design that has 9 hashing boards, giving it almost 7.7 TH consequently.   It is great if you need a lot of power.   This unit has been well taken care of and no overclocking.

You can see this miner's life through the review I did.  You will see a consistent miner that has history of going a month + without needing to even touch it. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1157426.0 .  Was over 2k, 6 BTC at time of purchase.

Open to offers for it.
2334  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: selling miners on: February 07, 2016, 04:22:39 AM
after all i heard from you guys and thıs dif. i think ill just keep minig with the ones ı already got and invest the 30 k in a server farm since my power cost are so low
THX for you help guys.

If you are 100 percent sure on electricity price you can go used.  I actually am selling some now.

S5
2x SP20's
3x Avalon 4.1's
And soon a S5 plus model (7.5T).

I think you will find many like me slowly letting go of last gen gear and if you are correct on electricity I would look for deals.
2335  Economy / Computer hardware / SOLD! 3x Avalon 4.1's - Great set - ON EBAY 385 or less for the set of 3! on: February 06, 2016, 10:56:32 PM
Looking to sell 3 Avalon 4.1's.  Trying to sell as a set.  If you buy all three I will throw in the RPI and usb hub.   PSU's not included in sale.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Avalon-4-1-x3-Kit-Each-1-25-TH-s-3-75-TH-s-Bitcoin-Miner-Faster-Than-S5-/322001366064?

These are some of the most quiet miners out there.    You can see this among other things in review - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1008726.0

So this is the three being ran in review.  They have been treated well and have ran with a underclock trying to get the best price on hash.  But for those of you out there with cheap/free electricity you can crank them up around 1.3T.  The 950-980 GHs range seemed to be best on underclock.

With price of shipping just looking at US sales.  Throw an offer through ebay if interested!
2336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: February 06, 2016, 08:47:22 PM
Board 1 just died in my batch 9

Had to unplug it as it would just cause it not to mine.

Who do I contact for warranty repair?

Bitmain, probably info@bitmaintech.com

Correct for RMA that is the email to use.  Been a while since I have had to use it, but it should work.

Other option is the ticket system.  But the email seems far more popular.
2337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Hands On]Yubikey - Help secure your digital assets - Including Blockchain.info on: February 06, 2016, 11:31:50 AM
It very good for people have online wallet on blockchain because it feels like it has a hardware wallet. Cheesy

But the design is too small to be easily lost if not stored properly, but it seems thin enough to put in your wallet.

It does add a physical token to a Blockchain account, which is great.   I have seen how popular it is, that is part of reason I tried these out.

The nano that is kinda the point being so small, so it is meant to fit just in usb slot with a small overhang.  So you are right on that one being very small.  On the other 2 I reviewed you should not be losing them. They are in the same size as a usb drive.   All are slim though where you could slip within a wallet.   They were more designed for a key chain with the hole, but most wallets would likely work.
2338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Hands On]Yubikey - Help secure your digital assets - Including Blockchain.info on: February 06, 2016, 09:08:50 AM
is this better than ledger nano? or they are kind the same?

at first glance it seems that ledger is better but since they cost around the same, maybe they are equal is this correct?

They may look the same at first glance but they are very different.   The Ledger is a hardware wallet.   The Yubikey is a physical key for second factor authentication.  So the Yubikey has much more uses.

Some of the main uses I really liked was using it to secure a blockchain.info wallet instead of sms.   It also did great with gmail account's.  So these even if compromised an attacker needs my Yubikey to log in, which they should not have.  So great there.

And Lastpass is great addition.  It's a full program on it's own, but combines great with Yubikey to secure your passwords.

i've seen that this si not related to bitcoin only, it do much more as you said, for the same cost seems the better than between the two

also its nature of being so small i think it's even better than the ledger, make it more confidential

Exactly it's just a really good product to add a physical layer to your security, which is great.  There are some sites that are related to bitcoin and some that are not that use it, as it is a great tool.   And Lastpass really takes it to a whole new level on regular password security with using a Yubikey with it.

The nano really was my favorite which was surprising.  I thought a full sized on my key chain would be,  But the nano is perfect for laptop use.  You can stick it in the side of your laptop leave it there, and it can only be activated by your touch.  So you can leave it in your laptop if you wanted to.
2339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Hands On]Yubikey - Help secure your digital assets - Including Blockchain.info on: February 06, 2016, 09:01:27 AM
how about price ?
any ebay link of this product?

You must have missed last part of hands on.   Click on the link: https://www.yubico.com/products/yubikey-hardware/

There are many different versions of it.  And the great thsing is you can pick which is best for you.  This could vary for each person.  I thought I would like one of the longer full Yubikey's.  But I ended up loving the nano version, it's fit with a laptop is just great.  But for everyone it could be different.

Not sure why you would want to get off eBay.  Go direct link I listed above and by direct from manufacture.  I just like buying direct on anything dealing with my security.
2340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Hands On]Yubikey - Help secure your digital assets - Including Blockchain.info on: February 06, 2016, 08:55:21 AM
This is a good stuff for better security of our digital assets. I heard in some countries the government itself has a high security wallet system to have their personal as well as government official documents.
Such an arrangement sounds good if implemented over every country, which will possible won't allow much hackers easily.

It's a good idea and the combinations you can do are great.   I have found Yubikey and Lastpass to be a huge changer in my online security.  And sites that have Yubikey integrated like Blockchain.info are great.

I was always pretty good at not using the same password.  But my passwords were no where near as hard to crack as the Lastpass generated ones.  These would take a bad guy a lot more time then standard accounts to crack during things such as a database being taken.

I really think Yubikey with it's layer of physical protection is a great thing in any case.
