I feel like France definitely deserved the win, but it wasn't the goal for it, there were ton of chances where they could have scored and totally deserved to win, but they won with the one that they got lucky with instead.
A lucky goal is a result of many other things before and after it. So combine all things, France deserve the win. If France had not create much pressure on Germany, Hummels would have not made that og goal. That mistake from Hummels is a consequence of the domination from France and dangerous dribbling, race and opportunities from Mbappe. In the end it looks like it is going to be a challenge, if Portugal manages to get some points from these two, there is a chance Germany maaaay end up not going up, it is still a low chance of course, I am fully expecting Germany to beat both Hungary and Portugal, and Portugal to finish with just Hungary win, but IF they could get a tie with Germany, they really have a chance and it is not impossible, we have seen so many things in football that looked impossible but managed to happen. They are good so far for the past few seasons but let's remember it is always a temporary success unless you reinvest that into the team. You can use the money you made into players, buy players, pay high salaries etc etc but that will be gone, eventually you will have a great team but if they suck just one season and not bring you any success then you are going to suck big time and will fail to deliver.
My favorite team had something like that, we spent a ton of money on players and in the end we won 3 championships thanks to it and went to quarter finals of champions league which we never before in our history, and then next season few players left and we sucked and the whole team suddenly started to suck, now we have been not so great for nearly 5 seasons. This is why you invest into staff, buildings, pitches, academy and many other stuff that are forever there and not temporarily there.

Medium clubs fall into the increasing demand of key players or new alternate players. Their salary budget increases with player demand and with their bigger ambition. The risk originates from there. If they can not manage to have as same as good results, their balance sheet will be damaged and they will be collapsed financially. Leeds United, Deportivo La Coruna, SS Lazio, FC Parma, Dortmund. They are example of collapsed clubs after some successful seasons. Atalanta is most likely Atletico Madrid in Italy. The team also started with a small budget and an unknown coach. And while the coach of Atalanta is working as a team, they will show an interesting game. The change of coach will lead to a decline in Atalanta's play. Over time, if the team progresses, then the Serie A champion title they can win.
