2321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Inadequate or Inspired After Watching These Types of Traders Content on: March 17, 2023, 02:05:22 PM
I can never felt intimidated, although that is me from when I have known about intimidation. I do not feel intimidated, life is not the same for everyone and someday may become mine. I try to focus on my trading and anything stupid thinking like intimidation may result into a failed trading.

I use to say this: if you are a trader, you have to do away with everything that can make your mindset to be of low or poor quality. Focus on yourself and how you can achieve your long term goal in life.

Among all, I am happy, there is nothing better than joy and happiness. The little I gained from trading is enough for me.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will this Statement alone be enough to Prove my Gambling Loses for Tax Deduction on: March 17, 2023, 08:49:40 AM
It is true that gambling losses can be deducted from an individual's taxes.
According to what I have heard before in countries that collect tax from gamblers, the authorities do not collected tax if you have loss as the net profit. If you your net profit is positive, you will be taxed.

If needed, I can request for my yearly statement, which shows how much bet I have placed in that year
On some gambling sites, you can check for your betting history, the total profit and loss can be seen, but this may differ from one betting site to another.

If needed, I can request for my yearly statement, which shows how much bet I have placed in that year
What that matter is your total profit that month or year.
2323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is anyone using Price Action to trade full-time? on: March 17, 2023, 08:27:20 AM
You want to become a full time trader? Which means you want to fully depend on trading, isn't it? That is not advisable at all, you should have other business that you are doing. In trading, you need proper quality trades, this can be done or maximized if you have other things that you are doing other than trading. Trading is good if you go in the proper direction.

Price action is good, but it is only meant for traders that are very patient. Many institutional and retail traders can even make use of it, but it has its own strategies that are used to trade it. Traders that are using price action to trade are patient, they may not open trade until they see a massive increase or decrease in the price of a coin, like bitcoin. If the price has increased or fallen very significantly, they open a sell or buy position so that they can make money and profit from it. They may not stay long at times because the market may first go your direction and start to go opposite direction later.

There are some strategies that can be helpful for it like trend trading, trend after a retracement entry, trend after a breakout entry and many others. If you can learn about it very well, be patient before making decision, you can make money from price action. But you also need to set price alerts too to make sure you are notified if certain price has been gotten too.

Lastly, you should always remember that you should not use the amount of trading fund that is more than the amount of money that you can not afford to trade. Also read more of risk management. Do not let trading interfere with your quality daily time too.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 11:19:00 AM
There is this saying that you can force a horse to a river but can't force it to drink from the river and same also applies here in referral bonuses as you can get one to use a particular casino and also your referral code or link but might not get to deposit or even wager and most of the casino requires you to get those you refer to first register, make deposit and then wager before one could claim these bonuses and if you'll agree with me that isn't an easy task especially in a country like mine.
I do not use to refer people, just because I have read the terms and conditions that apply to referring people. You are right but this does not only apply to gambling. Recently a friend referred me to one of the common online banking in my country, if I did not deposit that day, he will not get the referral bonus. This is everywhere.

Referral reward collection depends from sites to sites, I mean the type of service an organization is referring. Example is on freebitco, which is a faucet (though a gambling site too), also are many other time wasting faucets like Cointiply that you can refer people to to claim free coins, that kind of referral reward can be simple. But in referring in banks, exchanges, gambling sites and many other sites that require humans to deposit before the company can gain or make money, the referral reward can be when the person referred has deposited and make use of the site already.
2325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 16, 2023, 10:11:54 AM
In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
You read almost all the responses, that is great. But you can make yourself clearer to us by telling us the responses that you read that makes casino referral reward to be a waste of time? Is it by following the casino terms of service or what? We need to know the exact reason why you said it is a waste of time.
2326  Economy / Speculation / Re: 26k mark finally breached on: March 15, 2023, 08:10:08 AM
For me am definitely praying for the price to drop more so I can buy as much bitcoin as I can but the dip always scares some investors but I say the dip is a good sign for me make more from the market as buying low and hodling till the prices go up is definitely more yielding.
That is one of the reasons that bitcoin is good, even people that think they are late can see price dump and invest too.

What's your pick on this. Will March bring more great feats or a massive dip will be experienced after this pump.
I am not expecting bitcoin price to increase more than $30000, even if it increased to such price.

I think Bitcoin hitting $30,000 by the end of the month is more likely than not.  I also think we may never see below $20K again, but those are always famous last words.
Very possible that bitcoin may reach $30000, but I still believe that bitcoin will fall back below $20000 again once more, this may even be in 2024 or this year. This is a guess though, with just little analyses.
2327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Loans and credits facilities on BTC. on: March 15, 2023, 07:12:22 AM
Loaning is risky is what I know and it is not fiat which you can be able to obtain license for, but if you are able to obtain license for it in your country, it may be a good idea if you can cope with both bull and bear market.

Some people are using a lending platform, but the profit is small. Most of the lending platform are centralized, which is another thing to consider.

I do know how people massively gather btc and looking at this period trade has not been fair enough.
Some people are not traders, they trade during bull run, buying or opening a long position during bull run, thinking they are good, not knowing it is the market period that is favoring them. Traders can make profit both in bull and bear market, but trading is risky.
2328  Other / Beginners & Help / Fiat to crypto scam still existing always on: March 14, 2023, 10:35:39 AM
This can be good information for those that:

  • are trading fiat and crypto directly
  • are involved in P2P trades on decentralized exchanges
  • are trading fiat-to-crypto on centralized exchanges

What I can use that is similar to this is P2P trading, because we are not talking about decentralized exchanges or trading between one person and another person directly, I will use fiat-to-crypto trading, this is according to some threads I have seen on this forum recently which do not regard trading fiat to crypto on custodial exchanges as P2P trading, and which I think it is true that P2P should not be used for fiat-to-crypto trading on custodial exchanges.

I supposed to create this on scam accusation board, but I guess newbies that have just started to know about P2P trade in cryptocurrencies are the ones that can be often affected and many among them on this forum often visit beginners and help board.

Huobi global sent me this email today and this is it in picture or image:

This is no more new but people can still be scammed like this, I am surprised that I could get such email notification from Huobi global, which only means that this type of scam is still existing and occuring frequently as they talked about it in the email.

Let us say you are the seller, never release bitcoin from escrow unless you have checked your bank app or when you login into your bank account using the web browser and make sure you see the money sent from the buyer, (not when you see message or email notification which can be fake.)
2329  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet account under review for 5 months on: March 14, 2023, 08:12:54 AM
This is Cloudbet official account on this forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=154563
This is their official (ANN) thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=333552.7760

You can complain on the official thread too.

What I noticed about Cloudbet on this forum is that they are not active, if you check the gambling board, you can see the casinos with active official accounts, those are the ones that can be able to resolve your issue very fast, make use of such gambling sites. Activeness is very important.
2330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Social Trading Platforms evaulation on: March 14, 2023, 07:26:51 AM
Instead of looking for copy trading, I will advice you to learn how to trade yourself and not only go more than forums that you people will only just discuss about trading, and be careful of scammers.

I just want to know how does these platforms select and rank top-performing traders?
The one I know little about among them is copy trading and being a lead trader. Those that do not know how to trade are the copy traders, which are traders that are copying trading from the lead traders. The lead traders are the professional traders that other traders are copying from them. The organization have their trading history and do not just accept any trader to be a lead trader, they take people that meet their requirements. Example is TradingWagon on Binance that can provide this kind of service, they have all your trading history.

The exchange have your trading history and the ranking is based on return on interest percentage (ROI%) over certain period of time like daily, weekly or monthly. The person that have the highest percentage of ROI will be the first, follow by the next person with the second highest ROI% and follow by the next.

What metrics do they use to evaluate their performance?
Like I said, they use ROI%

and how do these platforms handle risk management for traders and investors?
They do not handle anything for you than you to handle it yourself, to use a low leverage and not using more than the amount you can afford to lose to trade because being a lead trader does not mean 100% perfection, a lead trader can also lose and the leverage both of you used can be different is another thing. What is most important about copy trading is that when the lead trader open a position, it automatically opens the same position for copy traders that are following him.

Do they offer tools like stop-loss orders, margin requirements, or position limits? I am confused.
Yes, you can set your own stop lose, and do other things you can do when trading, just that you trade can automatically be opened. Even you can decide to close your position at anytime if you have gained.

Read the link that you provided very well.
2331  Economy / Economics / Is Christopher Giancarlo up to something? on: March 14, 2023, 07:01:07 AM
I am asking this question because a former CFTC Chair knows how government like to regulate everything pertaining to fiat.

My report today w/@AEI’s @JimHarper: #CBDC & #stablecoins must preserve privacy & security, economic liberty, free speech & personal autonomy.

It is clear and understand that CBDCs are fiat, but the fiat that is using blockchain technology digitally, which might be better than the traditional digital means of making fiat transactions.

With CBDCs, we know that we are still using fiat. CBDCs might be secure, but we know that CBDCs have no privacy it can render people, it is just like the old fiat, which means government is in control.

With CBDCs, you are not even your own bank, it is still about government control. I am wondering what this man is trying to achieve by saying things he knows it is not possible.
2332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gamble continuously because have surrendered to the situation on: March 13, 2023, 07:46:43 PM
I count this somehow to be off-topic, but maybe some people can use this as a medium to know that they should gamble responsibly.

Likely he believes he is going to win a jackpot one day, but the day may never come, or might come. There is nothing like family, better to quite the addiction and go back to them, instead of being someone that family do not trust. If family do not trust someone, that is more that a lot for him to realize and change for better.
2333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Test on: March 13, 2023, 11:01:44 AM
Gambling Addiction Test (Self-Assessment) : https://www.psycom.net/gambling-addiction-test

Here’s the question for the test for easy reference, You will need to answer it on the website to see the result.
1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?
3. Do you unsuccessfully try to cut back on your gambling?
4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling?
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits?
6. Has gambling interfered with your work, school, or relationships?
7. After losing money gambling, do you often return to it with the intention to make up for the loss or break even?

BTW, My personal result is Mild Indication of Gambling Addiction.
8. Do you have to ask others to bail you out of financial troubles due to gambling?
9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?

1. No
2. Before I do that when I was addicted, but no more now.
3. I use small amount of money to gamble, 5 or lesser in percentage to what I earn weekly. Often less than 5%
4. I control my emotion and gambling is fun
5. No, I say it just as it is. I gamble responsibly.
6. Before, but no more again. I am gambling when I have nothing doing at all.
7. I may quit for a week or more sometimes if I lose, but I do not lose more than necessary.

8. Yes, before when I was addicted. I remember a time I even sold my laptop and home theatre because of gambling. But not now anymore.
9. No. But I noticed when I was addicted, I have more luck in gambling when I am feeling sad, not because of gambling losses, but sad because of other reasons.

I started to gamble in 2014. I quit gambling for a year, in September 2019 and started to gamble again in September 2020. I lost and I stopped gambling again until the beginning of 2021 when I know that I have control over it.
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No-kyc Derivatives Exchanges on: March 13, 2023, 10:40:27 AM
I will advice anyone that have interest in OP links to do more research about it, to know if they are actually legit or scam.

Well, prove his claims wrong instead of saying that he doesn't know what a derivative is  Wink
Just tell us which of the above platforms listed above supports trading of actual Bitcoin derivatives and not WBTC or other BTC token contracts?
They are smart contract decentralized exchanges, non of them deal with the real bitcoin, they all depend on side chain which are not actually bitcoin but pegged bitcoin like wBTC.

Some of the No-kyc derivative exchanges that were mentioned above is not familiar to me. And I think Binance is one of them since KYC is not necessary for trading futures.

If the case is — it's good to use No-kyc Derivative Exchanges — I will use Binance Futures instead of what is mentioned above because it provides the tightest bid since this exchange is the world leading cryptocurrency exchange because it has high trading volume and good trading pair, and also the most trusted exchange.

How do you like of using unfamiliar exchanges if there's one that is most easy to use.
According to what I understood about OP, he is only referring to decentralized exchanges, but I do not know more than the ERC20 and BSC decentralized exchanges because they are the most common. The only one that I have seen before that OP mentioned is dYdX, but I am lazy today to do more research on the exchanges he listed, but I am sure they are decentralized exchanges as I can see Optimism, Arbitrum, Avalanche and the likes which are alternatives to ERC20 and BSC. They are smart chain exchanges which you can interact directly with on your noncustodial wallets without KYC.

Point of correction, Binance is a KYC required exchange. Probably the last time you use Binance has been long ago, when the exchange has not made KYC mandatory. But in two years back or so, they made KYC mandatory, probably as a result of regulatory pressure.

If you want no-KYC centralized exchanges, you can check this which was created by Ratimov: Current list of exchanges without KYC

I have preferred Kucoin, but I also used OKX which is very good too, but Kucoin asked me for mobile phone number forcefully. I have used Huobi and I was unable to trade futures without KYC.
2335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 13, 2023, 09:00:36 AM
Have you checked leader board before on any exchange that are showing it to derivative traders? If you check it, you will notice that you can be able to see the percentage of ROI of each traders on the leader board. If you calculate it with the the difference of the entry price and mark price of the asset they are trading, you will notice that most leader board traders use 1x leverage. They prefer to use high amount of money but with no leverage or not even using all their money on their trading account, which can be know if they use crosss margin mode, you can not know that with isolated margin mode.

But as a beginner, use less than the amount of money you can afford to trade with.

As a good trader, use the amount of money you can afford to lose to trade.

If you should increase you trading fund, that means you have more success rate in trading position opened. If not, still always use the amount of money you can afford to lose to trade.

For bitcoin, 5x is getting high for me, but I can use it in if the market has gone very low, I prefer 3x for bitcoin. I prefer 2x for altcoins if I know the market will favour me when the market have gone very low, but I like 1x overall.

Good traders which are professional enough do not want to be fighting with emotion, that is why the prefer to open 1x or leverage, if they are losing, they still believe the market will correct itself either in short or long term. That is why you will see them losing but not closing position, but it is not a surprise anymore that the position opens that you thought they are losing would later favour them and they will gain massively.

But for those that just leverage, the greed has been what is causing them problem and liquidation which is the regret that they have.

What traders need most to first know are risk management and strategies, then followed by how to make analyses, starting from knowing about charts and indicators.

When You see market is in bull season you may buy some 3× or 5× Leveraged Tokens that will give you high returns
If you are talking about bitcoin, your post is good and I would have given you one merit, but altcoins are dangerous with 5x, it can result to liquidation.
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you for or against ordinals? on: March 13, 2023, 08:11:19 AM
Lots of ordinals threads/discussions here lately. It's time to find out which % of Bitcointalk users support ordinals and how many think they should be stopped.
Ordinals are different from the old NFTs, they are using bitcoin for their own non fungible tokens.

There was a time that Omni layer for USDT was a common transaction on on bitcoin blockchain, no one thought it is not ideal. That one is still not actually bitcoin transfer on bitcoin blockchain, but altcoin transfer on bitcoin blockchain.

I only seed ordinals as a way it is possible for miners to earn more money and what can lead to increase in mining hash rate later in the future.
2337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A costly gambling mistake on: March 13, 2023, 06:45:30 AM
You have to look for the website FAQ and go through it first, I have seen some newbies that avoid doing this has they ended up shooting themselves in the foot.
The FAQ are frequently asked questions, it is different from ToS or T&C (Terms of Service or Terms and Conditions). The FAQ is short but consists of the questions that users are often asked which may contain many things about the ToS too but not all.

On every site you are registering, be it gambling site or not gambling site, the ToS page would be displayed and you have to scroll down and you have the check ✔️ it that you have read it, but they are always too long which discourage many people to read it. But very important to read.
2338  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: March 12, 2023, 11:23:04 AM
In the long run, you can not win the house. The chance you can be lucky and win big to become rich will always be less than 1% while in long time, the house will always be the winner.

Just as it has been advised several times, gamble for just fun.
2339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No-kyc Derivatives Exchanges on: March 12, 2023, 08:32:57 AM
Those no-kyc derivatives exchanges do not have real bitcoin, they use the sidechain like wBTC which are not actually the real bitcoin, the reason I am not using it. It can be good for altcoins that are built on Ethereum or Binance smart chain. To trade the real bitcoin, I still have no alternative than those centralized exchanges.

On PancakeSwap, the pegged bitcoin (which are not real bitcoin) have up to 200x of leverage which makes me think that the liquidity would be high.

You don't know what derivative is.

Are you in your right sense for posting this?

I have just used PancakeSwap to access this perpetual trading:
