2321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you make money from meme coins? on: February 16, 2022, 06:01:17 AM
Personally I think that the chance to make money from meme coin is small. Look at DOGE, and look at SHIB, these two coins are like the top meme coins that we have in the market, but the both of them are not really encouraging at all. These two trended around last year, but the trend didn’t last for long and they were back to square one again.

Both of them are even finding it difficult to make a return to their higher price this year, and they’re not even showing any good signs at all that would encourage me as an investor to go for them at all. Meme coins for now are not for me, but if you should see one that you think is good, then it is up to you.

Do you know that Doge and shib are those coins which have given a lot of returns in 2021. Anyone who have investied in dogecoin prior to 2021, he must have make millions only by trading doge.
Meme coins are still worh investing but keep two things in mind.

1) Only invest limited amount in meme coins
2) do not invest when the meme coins have already raised a lot in price and wait for retracement.
2322  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 16, 2022, 05:42:46 AM
probably no. And you should focus which way you can earn more and better to find new side job instead of wasting your time working hard in your main job even you don't have a good salary . And to be honest that's what's is happening since the pandemic wherein most people left their job they because they found a good way to make passive income while at home and that's through internet. for me that was a good decision..
It can be a case to case basis. What if that main job of yours is your dream job? Despite the pay is quite low and you have another side job, it's okay to call it a side job even it pays more.
There's no problem doing both jobs at the same time as you're not compromising any of them and you're earning more for having both of them. You don't have to find a new job if you're already having two jobs at the same time unless you can take three.

Some people are enjoying their main job because it is their passion. But if you think you are just wasting your time in your main job, then, probably it is better to find a good side job instead of stressing yourself with this main job. However, some people don't want to lose their main job because this is where they have healthcare benefits, retirement benefits and all the other benefits that you can't find in your side job. The salary may not be higher with your side job but the benefits accompanied with your main job is already a big plus to consider it keeping.

Trends are changing these days as companies are also loking for remote workers rather than the full time employees in the offices. This trend has raised specially in the covid era and is it still contiuning.
My opioion on side jobs is that you can do them if you have time but this should not effect your main core job which should be your primary focus. Also you can think of quiting your main core job and focus on the side job which should offer you more income. You wont leave the job if the new job offers less pay.
2323  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with tax and crypto ban on: February 16, 2022, 05:24:51 AM
Calling for regulation instead of restriction is a simple choice because regulation would mean at least some influx of money for the state, and given that crypto mining isn't anything morally questionable (unless one believes it's very harmful for ecology, but Russia's not the sort of country that takes ecology seriously anyway), it's clearly a win to legalize cryptos and operations with it.
As for Zimbabwe and tax collection, I think if taxes are applicable, it already means that cryptos are legalized in some way there. I only hope taxes will be reasonable because otherwise people will simply look for ways of avoiding paying them.

Regulation has to be there, it is inevitable and up to a certain point it is desirable. As I have mentioned a number of times, the devil is in the details. The fine print of the regulation may mark the distinction between a ban, a regulation that restricts trade and use, a regulation that simply protects the users or one that simply taxes and provides zero value for the investors.

I am interested in regulations that protect users.

There is a trade off here. Either make bitcoin regulate and pay taxes or keep using bitcoin on a limted scale but pay no tax. I will prefer to pay tax with crypto regulate rather than using bitcoin which is declared ilegal in this case.
If you are geneuine user of bitcoin, and have no bad intention like money laundering, regulation is the best thing. (however KYC and taxes comes with regulation).
2324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will owning 0.01 BTC really make you rich? on: February 16, 2022, 04:24:04 AM

Based on the circulation supply, the total is 18,944,831.00 BTC, which means 1% of it is 189,448.31.. that's too much money, you'll be a billionaire already if have to that kind of btc in your wallet. 1 btc is already enough for long term, it will certainly make you rich as bitcoin is destined for success and the demand will increase overtime.
Today I read somewhere that the President of El Salvador says something similar. The essence of his words is that there are more than 50 million millionaires in the world, and when everyone of them wants to own one bitcoin, they will not be able to buy even 1 BTC, and in this case, demand will send the price to the moon. There is a reasonable logic in his words, but so far this is not happening, and not all millionaires want to own bitcoin. Smiley

I think that 0.01 btc will make us rich, I am pretty confident of that. But the real question is "when". Maybe our sons not directly us will appreciate this aspect, this secondo revolution. It's like another 1000x for something that started from zero.
I mean, we need a lot of time to see this change...  Meanwhile we can appreciate bitcoin for what has been created.
A strong and unique alternative to FIAT money system. This is the real bargain offer that has no price Wink if you know what I mean...

0.01 btc can make you milionare depending upon how long can you hold it and how fast bitcoin prices move up. I personally not aiming at 0.01 btc. I am just collecting all the bitcoin fromwhere ever i can and keep them save from long term. I am sure that my saved bitcoin will help me a peaceful life after retirement. Think big, thing for long term and you will realzie that every satoshi saved, is something worth a lot more than you can imagine.
2325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the objective of bitcoin redirected? on: February 16, 2022, 04:00:49 AM
From the past decade, bitcoin failed to add any value to the real world. It was supposed to be an alternative payments solution but it become an assets class for storing values. Its technology is old, slow, and expensive compared to many altcoins. Still, people investing in bitcoin because of its extremely fast-moving advantages compared to other assets like stock and gold and its extensive nature. Is the objective of bitcoin is dead or has it's been redirected on purpose?

Even if bitcoin is considerd as a store of value, more than a medium of exchnage, what difference does it make ? At present we are using fiat money for transcation and gold as a store of value. Think of future when both store of value and medium of exchange will be merged by bitcoin. As the bitcoin adaption increases, we will see more people using bitcoin in thier business
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India's confusing crypto bill on: February 14, 2022, 06:06:50 PM
What are we expecting in Indian Government ? they are acting like this for how many years?

having issue of banning and regulating and then allowing ? this is not new from this country so better to get use to it until they finally act a truthful and real law or bills in which people will understand and accept.

I don't see they are serious in adopting bitcoin. If that was the case, they would have lowered the taxes to encourage people to use crypto. Instead, they hinted that they won't let anyone earn crypto as they will be taxed very high.
This statement was a big disappointment to the people of India who wanted to integrate bitcoin and also earn bitcoin by different means like mining etc.
2327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run in Bitcoin on: February 14, 2022, 10:12:56 AM
The way the market has started to decline, it seems that the market will not rise this year. After 2017, the market has started dumping in the same way as the market has been dumped.I think although the market grows, the market may grow by 2024.
But luckily, the market changed direction again in the last year and we were able to get another big profit. So people who can sell on time last year are very lucky because the profit we can get is very large, especially the profit from bitcoin.

Hopefully, this year we can get another big profit like last year because many speculators provide their analysis and say that this year bitcoin will return to high prices and make altcoins also follow. But whatever it is, we need to prepare ourselves by always analyzing the market before we decide.

No doubt the profits gained last year were insane but i still not sell my bitcoin holdings. The only reason for this is that the more you wait and do not sell, the more profit you can gain. There may be some times when bitcoin will dump, but if you keep on holding strong, then you will aways end up in a greater profit.
I am not againit the selling of bitcoin and booking profits, but if you can hold, better to hold it.
2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / there is no Play-to-Earn Game on: February 12, 2022, 03:03:47 PM
As of this writing there is no play-to-earn games exist in the market. You must be saying Axie Infinity is one play to earn game and there are many more, but i will tell you that they are not play-to-earn games, they are infact play-to-earn jobs.  Roll Eyes

Taking the example of Axie Infinity, you get game token SLPs when you do certain tasks in adventure mode and also complete daily tasks. This is like a job that you do daily and the maximum earning limited on daily is also fixed. You are allowed to take 20 turns and after that even if you play more, there is no reward. You are in fact doing job to collect the tokens.

Real games are like you play unlimited times daily and there should be no limit on the earnings or turns. The more you play and win, the more you should get the tokens. This realistic model of earning is missing in all the famous P2E games like Axie infinity or star sharks etc.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That is why play to earn concept is a massive failure on: February 12, 2022, 02:38:31 PM
the most advantageous are those who enter early, can understand the meta quickly and get cheaper character prices, the concept of Play to earn is sometimes more like pay to win now, you have to have stronger characters to win.

Almost all the play to earn games loses value over time. This means if you have invested in play to earn games, a few month ago, you would be in a big loss. Axie Infinity is a perfect example for this where a team of three axie cost you around 1200-1500$ two month before. Now the same team can be formed in around 150-300$. Think about those early investors, who must be in a big big loss. The reason for this is poor planning from the game developers who do not think if the game is sustainable over time.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making valentine's day memorable with bitcoins. on: February 11, 2022, 07:57:49 AM
If I am your partner I will be happy if you give me a little bit of bitcoin in my wallet (if your partner is the same as I understand bitcoin) but if not usually women prefer flowers, chocolates, and clothes, dinner on Valentine's Day
Definitely, I think it's important to understand that your partner understands first and know about bitcoin or better yet, cryptocurrencies because if not then you're probably going to waste your time and your effort would be unappreciated because they have a different expectations. Also, I think that it wouldn't hurt to ask your partner what they want because communication is the key to a relationship right?

Yeah before giving a bitcoins gift to your partner or lover, make sure he/she knows about it and has some interest in this. Otherwise, no matter how much amount you give in bitcoins, the other person will not be able to recognize the importance of it and all your spending on the gift will be in vain.
2331  Economy / Speculation / Re: No strength in Bitcoin in higher time frames on: February 11, 2022, 06:38:49 AM

With the breakout on above of $40,000 this month, I became bullish for midterm on Bitcoin. Look how Bitcoin broke the trendline on a monthly timeframe.
And what I noticed also is *not so perfect support when Bitcoin dumped around $31, xxx - $32, xxx last month, and the $30,000 seems to become strong horizontal support here since last year.

Yes, that's a clean breakout but the most important thing is how we will close this month of February. There are still 18 days left in this month and bitcoin can again come down and close the month below this trendline. If this happens it will be a false breakage but the chances for this is very slim. Being a trader, we should keep an eye on all the possibilities.
2332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the market to buy the safest NFT? on: February 11, 2022, 05:17:27 AM
I started getting to know crypto in 2016 and at that time there were not many crypto projects like now.
and what I'm asking now is about NFT where many players have just started playing there, there must be many platforms that sell and buy NFT, for example https://cnft.io/ which transacts with ADA tokens, what platform do you think friends who play nft the safest. Is it opensea or something else?

There are many good NFT platform like opensea. Binance and all the exchanges also offer NFT marketplace where you can buy and sell the NFTs. However, there is a key difference between NFT and coins/token.

We usually buy good token/coin considering they are safe, they have liquidity etc but in the NFT space, there is no such thing as SAFE NFT. Once you buy NFT, there is no guarantee that you can sell it at a higher price or even sell it at all. If someone like your NFT he will buy it otherwise if no one is willing to buy it, you cannot sell it.
2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Eying NFT!!! on: February 11, 2022, 04:59:08 AM
I would say this is a good business move, why? because every one is trying to jump and hop on the bandwagon. So it is better if you jump in early like other companies and now GTA is entering the picture. And perhaps most users of GTA are also in crypto for all we know so this is a win-win situation for them. Again in this hype everyone is going to make a lot of money and that's what important for a business entity like GTA and other big companies to join the fray.

Introducing NFT by the Grand Theft Auto is a great step but i would prefer if they integrate these NFT in the game play. If these NFTS has a proper use case, people will buy them to use them as characters in the game. These days there is a craze for play to earn games and I hope one day GTA also become a similar game where you can earn money while playing.
2334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto stuck in sports betting site, now they want KYC on: February 11, 2022, 04:46:06 AM
Anyways, sometimes I try to login to the site before setting my VPN and it simply tells me I'm in a restricted area. Never had any issues though, I just flip on the VPN and all good. I've been using this site for about 2 months now. Today I logged in and and it was requesting I input my phone number to proceed. It said I can withdraw funds but services were restricted until I enter my phone number. So I created a fake number from Hong Kong, and entered it in. It sent me a code and I entered it. Little did I know Hong Kong  is also banned from this site (I know I know, I was just in a hurry to place a bet). Now my account is locked and they will not allow me access to even withdraw until I go through full KYC.

What was so hurry for you at that time that you did not care to see which countries are accepted by the site and then entered the hong kong number which was not allowed by them. You may have missed the bet but you could have saved your money and account.

For now, try to do whatever you can to recover your account and then withdraw your funds. Its never advisable to play at gambling sites using VPN because the site can anytime stop your withdraw and ask for KYC as they did in your case.
2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING! ETH 2.0 is no more!!! on: February 11, 2022, 03:57:31 AM
It looks like our hopes for ETH 2.0 is no more! They’re gonna rebrand it instead as consensus layer.

Source: https://decrypt.co/91149/ethereum-foundation-kills-eth-2-consensus-layer-rebrand

What’s your opinion about this guys? You think this is a good decision by Vitalik Buterin? I know that there will be mixed opinions about this decision, so I wanna hear it from you guys. Thanks!

So will it impact on the Ethereum network ? Are we not shifting to PoS ? If so, then this mean that the high gas fee probelm will remain with Eth for a considerable long time now until a new solution is developed?

I wonder if the recent price drop in bitcoin and ethereum is because of this news  Huh
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: February 10, 2022, 06:36:55 PM

A lot depends on how useful is altcoins. Good altcoins that are useful for people will survive even in the fall of the market.
There are altcoins that offer cryptocurrency investment tools with crypto APP to work like S&P 500 like https://twitter.com/FiPiToken/status/1482266971731378177

The most important that altcoin will be really useful for people. The more people use the altcoin and the ecosystem of the project that created this altcoin the more demand in altcoin.

Development of altcoins a lot will depends from the conditions of cryptocurrency market. If market will continue to rise people will invest more actively in altcoins and the development will increase.
yes it depend on the crypto market but only those altcoins which have any particular or we can a special use for the community as the investors want to see that features which attract people around the world and if a coin have the ability to attract people then its price increases and that is the point that investors will invest in the coin.

I think the faith of the altcoins will most probably will be determined by the bitcoin move. If the bitcoin is bullish, then we can expect very good returns from the alts.

Not only high volume good coins but even most of the shitcoins will give many times returns in the bull season. But who will take benefit from the next altseason > It will only be the ones who are accumulating the altoins at cheap prices whereas most of the people are on the sidelines because they fear more loss and more downside.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hyperdoge on: February 10, 2022, 06:00:17 PM
Not going to take this bait again. I was done with Shiba Inu and I think that should be the last of my stupidity and should learn from my mistake.
Whenever I hear a name that sounds like Doge, Inu, Shiba or whatever that is near that I have the assumption that it won't be any better as the first ones.
Just a tip, if you are really serious about your project, you might want to name it as far as those meme coins as possible. Many investors are not happy anymore after they realized the truth behind it.

Shiba Inu is still a strong project but all these coins Hyperdoge etc are useless and are made to capture our bitcoin and in return, we get these shitcoins.
One tip: If you see a new coin similar to the name of the famous Meme coin, then it will be a definitely scam. If the project owners can't think of a unique name, do you think they will ever be able to make that project unique and strong?
2338  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Inflation is a big problem for a country? on: February 10, 2022, 08:59:21 AM
We all know that Inflation in the US economy is at an alarming rate. Not the only USA, but Inflation is also a big problem for many countries globally, and it seems there is no way to stop it. Is it impossible to stop inflation in fiat currency or govt don't want to take any action it stop it? Do you think people can do anything to stop inflation in their economy or its inevitable?

Inflation cannot be stopped unless the money supply is limited. Since governments are all the time printing money, this will devalue the currency and is the major factor for inflation.
In order put the inflation on halt, either the government strictly do not allow printing of currency notes (which they will hardly stop) or start using a inflation free currency like bitcoin (which is also very unlikely).
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one who loves BTC but hates the Metaverse idea and the NFTs? on: February 10, 2022, 08:36:21 AM
I'm yet to drive into the Metaverse; have read a few articles & got a little idea about it. I won't say I liked the idea or disliked but to be honest, I would appreciate any development which would make our life easier. I guess there are many people out there who either don't like Metaverse or have no interest to know about either; mostly I believe the bitcoin maximalists are of that sort.

I have read several articles and have a vague understanding of the metaverses, but I probably have no negative attitude towards them. I don't like the NFT idea, there is a lot of unnecessary rubbish and the majority understands this well. Metaverses have a right to exist, but this is just a temporary fad until something more interesting appears on the market.

We need to understand from where all these ideas of NFT and metaverse come from? First, we have the bitcoin and then all the altcoins came into existence and then we have stuff like metaverse and nfts. So if there was no blockchain, no bitcoin and there would be no such innovations. So i think that in a broader perspective everything is linked to bitcoin as a whole.
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin book as surprising gift on: February 10, 2022, 07:51:59 AM
Recently, I have taken a step to create awareness about cryptocurrency among the people I know (Friends, cousin etc.). There are few books on cryptocurrency in Bengali language. I haven’t read all as the title was stupid. I have read one by Mostafa Tanim, "Bitcoin: Blockchain and Other cryptocurrency". I have gifted two times so far, one to my cousin and another one to my friend. What I'm doing is ordering the book online directly to their address though rokomari.
This is what I think the best approach to send a message that they should learn about it. Share your opinion/experience with such activities.

Is this digital book also available for download free of cost too or only the paid physical copy was available which you gifted to the friends ?
Anyways in both the cases, it is a good initiative from you to develop awareness about bitcoin but usually people find it cumbersome to read the books when everything is available in the form of videos tutorials. However, for a starting point, it is good that people have something in hand where they can read about it and later learn more about it online.
