Ok, a US senator coming with that kind of support for Bitcoin, on behalf of Homeland Security and other federal agencies like FBI and IRS makes it pretty clear that Bitcoin has the official seal of approval of the US administration. I got kinda suspicious after the senate hearings, and this cements my suspicions that the US is somehow involved in this. No way in hell would they approve of something like Bitcoin if it wasn't part of some sinister way to profit or control.

It could be quite different if the FBI hadn't picked up so much bitcoin.

But he does tend to get it right.

With the amount of cash he has on hand, he can always MAKE SURE he gets it right...

Why would he troll then, if he had such an amount of cash!!!

because he spent so many coins already to bring price to this level.

rpietila predicting that we will go to 500 and somehow some big asks showed up at bistamp.

must be magic.

dont be stupid. |

While I respect the overall viewpoints of Risto, his analyses and his long term predictions, I believe his short term price predictions are completely meaningless and should be completely ignored Smiley (no offense and nothing personal Risto Smiley)

his short term predictions arent predictions at all. he is just trolling and hoping to collect some cheap coins.

Bitfimex margin trading is the lifeblood of this whole market. When bitfinex decouples, everything stops.

yep, I never thought so until I saw it now. Imagine if some huge leverage trading platform with big fishes would arrive.

no, this has nothing to do with margin trading, but one big player moving against another.

from 380 to 680 in 1 day.

no cheap coins for rpietila.   Cheesy

Still fixated on rpietila I see....

Also, he probably bought whatever amount he wanted to buy.

are you sure?

why is bitstamp leading this rally? prices higher then gox means that there is a shortage of coins there.

good time now to move from gox.

no bitcoins nor litecoins to lend at bitfinex, guess the rally was for that reason. They thought people won't be able to short without coins to lend.

smart move.

buying now more coins will make the situation at bitstamp even worse. Cheesy

Erm....unless he was one of the ones buying?

He not only bought all the coins he wanted, he publically stated the price points and his predictions were all right. Impressive/lucky.

not so impressive when you have the ability to move the market. also, I have my doubts about him re-buying all his coins back.
