2321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers always make use of advantages on: March 22, 2020, 04:06:28 PM
Yeah, very possible, people should be cautious about this situation and try not get scammed as a result of covid-19, opportunist will try and make money out of people's misery even when people are suffering from this pandemic, they don't seem to care, some bad people will take advantage to do bad things instead of genuinely helping those in need.

perfect examples are those corona virus-related projects here. if you are an old timer, are you going to invest on those projects? i don't think so. they are one of those money grabbing schemes from naive users. they are popping out like mushrooms and enticing possible sympathizers by stating one of their missions is to donate some of their collected funds to the victims, UNICEF, NGOs, or other charitable institutions. do you believe such kind of stunt if they are anonymous teams? so please be careful with these projects. they are meant to be in the trash bin.
2322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] BlackGold - The First Cryptocurrency Pegged to Oil on: March 22, 2020, 11:33:51 AM
What's with the lack of details and bland looking website?
And 1,189,800,000,000 (that's 1.189 Trillion) supply? Isn't that a bit much?
What does the team/founders gonna do with their 16% share? Are those token locked for a couple of years?
'cause if not then there's nobody stopping you guys on dumping these tokens when it gets some value.

that is if they will ever reach their target value which is pegged to oil. I don't know how they can keep their price according to oil price in the market? do they have assets to back up this project? I read that he's saying they have massive fund - but only worth over 12 eth? I don't think that's considered to be massive fund in crypto. This is like stable coin, if you don't have assets to back your price, it would be hard to maintain the price level in the market.
2323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TOKEN] Bitcurate - Crypto Prediction ⚡ by Data Science & Machine Learning on: March 22, 2020, 08:50:13 AM
I just wanna know about what sentiment that you will be using it to support the creation of your data? Will you use the data that comes from the news site as the main fundamental to determine the sentiment from the market?
Are you focusing to play to build a market data for trading purpose? that's interesting to know what's your vision with your project and is there an MVP for the product?

Hi, our base sentiment collects data from Twitter, Telegram and Reddit (more upcoming soon) and analyze it through machine learning (LSTM) with multilanguage data labelling (Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese). We also scrap news information daily as MVP for now. Intend to do it via better API for quicker information to arbitrage it.

As of now, we are using the data for backtesting and beta trading. We have received many challenges as a startup and especially to the question, how do we make money and what is our business model? We had our proof of concept where we able to translate crypto market sentiment as an indicator but it is not sufficient.

We will be providing premium signals for BTCR members in the near future after we tested it on a consistent basis. That being said, many would argue that keeping that "secret sauce" for ourselves or creating a market make based on our signals, but we are "leaning" more towards sharing data analytics to the Bitcurate users.

do you think your system can detect possible pump and dump coins? sometimes what the devs are promising are opposite to what is happening. also, what do you think would be the limitations of your software when it comes to predicting the price movement of an altcoin? and what are the possible strong points that your software may have to tackle the high price volatility in crypto?
2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Safecrex Trading Platform / Coin [POW/MN] on: March 21, 2020, 11:22:52 PM
@OP, you might want to buy copper membership so your images will be shown. You are running a trading platform, so we are assuming you have the initial funds that will support your marketing campaigns.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

And also, since you are still very new to trading, how are you going to entice coin developers to list in your exchange? The fee is low but you have no volume yet to show to them. Also, for traders, it is hard to trade if you have no one to trade with. This is the bottleneck if you are just starting in the trading business. Maybe run promotional programs for traders.

2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Game Over? on: March 21, 2020, 11:47:57 AM
sometimes most people forget how long this market has been running.
how many times crypto especially bitcoin has been rumored to be dead, but until now we can see whales so big manipulating the market and exploiting this situation.
don't let yourself be influenced by anything and still believe what you initially believed.

usually what happens as you say because of the panic that is very misleading. because we know that things like this often happen and that is always revealed surface. but until now it has remained and has never shifted. bitcoin is already accustomed to experiencing this and need not be feared it will return to its normal recovery. many seek profits with these words.

But those who are really in panic mode and selling their portfolio may be those who are preparing themselves for emergency situations or will be using their money to buy necessities such as food, medicines, especially those who lost their jobs because of shutdown of businesses. We can't blame them for panicking in this situation. And those who can afford to buy and store bitcoin will definitely get their profits in the future. it is all about understanding the predicament of everyone here. we don't know the real situation of someone before making conclusion out of thin air.

But I am sure, this is not yet game over. We have been in these times, many times. yet, bitcoin is still here and continue to survive and reach out more users. Crypto actually is a great means of payment method in this pandemic situation where fiat currency is one of the means of transferring this virus. One good example is SK burning some of their fiat, and quarantining the others to stop this outbreak.

2326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: The Next Generation Vehicle Rental Platform “Global Rental Token” on: March 21, 2020, 09:56:37 AM
VERY BIG SCAMERS

any explanation regarding this? the OP has not been here more than a month already. But checking the CEO's linkedin profile, it seems that they are still working on this project. Maybe, they are fixing their whitepaper, creating a new one, at least put some effort into it and provide more substantial content. if they are already working on this project for so many months, I don't think they will give up their project easily.

2327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] Paytomat – Decentralized System for Cryptocurrency Payments 🚀🌟 on: March 20, 2020, 11:29:13 PM
Where can we see the list of these hundreds of merchants so we know where to go to? Because the current situation that we have, I'm referring to the pandemic, it is better to pay via crypto and not fiat to avoid risks involved using fiat currency. I think this is the time that you should be aggressive in marketing to promote your platform. many people need this kind of service right now.

2328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] iBTC - Improving on BTC Decentralization - Satoshi's Missing Link on: March 20, 2020, 10:45:45 PM
I see no response from this thread with your question, you should try to visit the telegram group of this project to find out more clearly about being a question mark for you and some of the people in it.
it looks like they don't have telegram and they only use https://discord.gg/Nwj56J7. I think if they have telegrams it will make it easier to communicate with everyone
I'm also waiting for response from the post above Roll Eyes

they should be more responsive here as they are still in the very early stages of development. but weird, the hashrate and difficulty is already high. i'm expecting that they will have more audience in this thread. wonder how far their development will go in "beating" up bitcoin.

they also have their own electrum wallet. really a clone of bitcoin. but where is the dev here?
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: March 20, 2020, 06:31:19 PM
I think there would be really more people who will be more active in online gambling sites, while the authorities have ordered to avoid going out in public places like casinos, and they are sports events that had been cancelled and postponed that we should be staying inside our homes or houses.

I don't think so. There are two major factors. First of all, gamblers who visit physical casinos regularly may not be comfortable with the online casinos. Many of them are middle-aged or elderly, and they may not be very excited with the online version. And secondly, the economy is in a meltdown state and even online gamblers may have to scale back their expenses and bets.

but I guess, a gambler is a gambler. So they will find a way on how to pass time these days. so high chance that they will check online gambling sites. and what's in it for them. But for those who really can't afford to gamble in this crisis, I think they will stop or break their habit up until they see some green light again. and I hope, those small time gamblers should not follow their gambling habits if the money at stake is for his family's needs. not really a smart decision if he will do so!
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 20, 2020, 03:27:45 PM

Interestingly there are some games still going on, why they are doing it on face of death I will never know, even if players do not die from it, they could get infected and than infect others, this is a very big problem right now and nobody should take it lightly. Even esports events are getting cancelled nowadays so I do not understand why phsyical contact games are still around, most of the major ones are already cancelled it, so should the other ones as well, I do not understand why they haven't.

In any case, we could simply just wait, wait around and eventually sportsbooks will come back, most of the time even summers are filled with games so many people gamble I can understand that but for now just wait around and not gamble, if you are addicted it is a great time to stop, if you are not addicted surely you can wait couple of months.

They will surely regret their actions if one of them will be badly hit by this virus. remorse is always at the end when something goes wrong. they should respect that others will be affected by their hard headedness. Anyway, they should understand that not only sports are being cancelled but almost all mass gatherings around the globe. They are not alone in this dilemma. They should think that others have no jobs and no money to buy food, so their problem of not holding their sports can be considered a luxury in these times.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH is all set to boom now... on: March 20, 2020, 02:24:54 PM
It will just follow BTC movement and react to money injection on the whole marketcap, I donīt see any boom to come, but itīs undervaluated right now, it was and it is a good moment to buy some and hold for some time
BTC will do the halving, and ETH is going to a lot of good changes, this will reflect on price for sure

if you will check coindesk and look for the charts, they are all following the general trend performance of bitcoin. since eth is one solid project, more than likely it will follow bitcoin's performance. it is one of these blockchain projects that I have faith that they will rise in the next coming months or years because they have real development in place. it is very far from those pump and dump alts, giving empty promises or passive income, which is a false promise to their investors.

2332  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coronavirus scam email - do not donate bitcoin on: March 20, 2020, 06:21:18 AM
Some bad people will use this chance to fundraising, and they will invite more people to donate their money in the name of donating. It is no surprise because it happens every time crisis or disaster happen in any country, that bad people will use the opportunity to get money from the donations. If you want to donate in bitcoin or fiat, make sure you donate to the legal fundraising, and if you got announcement or email from someone you don't know, it is better to ignore it and don't let you get trick by them.

and aside from these donation tactics, we are already full of corona-virus related projects here in the forum. trying to take advantage of the situation. if you will check below projects, they are only here to possibly rip money from those that will buy their coins or tokens. And for those that are promising to contribute some of their supply to this situation, I highly doubt that. How can we track that they will truly send something to the needy? We will not know that part. so be very careful on jumping on one of these projects. you know that most if not all of them are just here for quick buck and not really sincere in employing their objectives.

2333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GameToken Launch, looking for exchange, big bounty! on: March 19, 2020, 11:44:57 PM
big Bounty for Exchange listing!
Who will add a coin to the exchange on which there is not even information and at least a site?
This all sounds like a joke.

It is planned to be used as a gaming currency

if you are planning to be used as a gaming currency, then, do you have collaborations with potential gaming companies that will use your coin? Because if someone will check your thread, I don't think they will be willing to list you in their exchange. unless, this will be only a short-lived coin. Also, a proper website would be nice even if you say it is only used for gaming currency. Where will those gamers or gaming companies check on you?
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are having rough days, are you still a HODL? on: March 19, 2020, 10:56:22 PM
We have no option but to hold through this tough time as only the holders will get rewarded at the end. Anyone was sell now is selling at lost, what was the essence of holding all this while to sell at the last trail before the profit starts coming. Participating in airdrop isn't the best sikitytibthe current economy crisesw as their payout are usually peanuts compared to other sources of income like bounties etc.
it is best to hold assets as much as possible. and now we can see the market moving better. this is proof when we can be patient in analyzing the market we can benefit.

and sometimes it depends on the crypto user. if he has the need to cash out some of his portfolio during these trying times, there's no problem with that. is he gonna wait to see his family die of hunger while he has some stash in crypto? i don't think so. so it really depends on users' priorities here, if he can afford long term, why not? but yes, holding and not panicking with the situation is good if you are financially capable.
2335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] We are Morpher, a trading platform for stocks built on the ETH blockchain. on: March 19, 2020, 11:05:54 AM
Hey everyone, hopefully I can ease some of your questions.

Quote
this thread is very quiet

It's true there is definitely a lack of activity on our part within some crypto and blockchain communities. Which is something that we hope to change.

We are a company based out of Vienna, Austria, and we have to adhere to a fair bit of regulations. You will be able to buy our token from decentralised exchanges, using it directly with the protocol on Ethereum without giving us any of your info.

Quote
risk your identity getting lost or even sold

However, with the airdrop in mind, we can't give away our token to US users, and that's where KYC comes into play. In accordance with GDPR you can have your data removed at any time.

We are available to answer any questions you guys may!

anyway, they are not obliging everyone to join the airdrop program. it is still up to the user if he will participate or not. so if you value your privacy, you will not give your entry to a project that has no name yet in crypto.

and also, if Morpher is adhering to such regulations in your country, does it mean that you already have the registration of your company or license to undertake crypto trading business?
2336  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is supposed to go up of this corona! people are doing it wrong on: March 18, 2020, 11:52:15 PM
this global pandemic is here to stay

No it isn't, it will be contained soon, this is a global emergency so the smart people in the world are definitely looking for the cure that they will be releasing soon. Bitcoin is supposed to rise but not when its result is tied with the global situation, people panic so they are cashing out, same thing happens here, it would only be okay if its not a global pandemic, but it is, a serious struggle for all of us and at this time, our needs matters most than an investment.
Yes people are in serious problem and not only single person but the whole world is suffering. So we should all be together and fight against this issue. About bitcoin we can see the price is dump so its better to keep holding and waiting for it. Those who have money they should try to keep buying and later on you will get chance to have more profit.

We can't blame those crypto users that are selling some of their portfolio as they may have urgent needs to address. With so many businesses closed, they need to prepare themselves for the worst and not be trapped without a fight. if someone can afford to buy crypto without hurting anything, like their financial capability during this crisis, i guess this is a good opportunity for them. but for those who are selling, it is understandable actually. We all have different needs so you can't tell someone that you are doing something wrong with your decision.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto analyst accused of photoshopping trade screenshots on: March 18, 2020, 11:24:18 PM
I have stopped following self acclaimed expert traders and do not follow anyone blindly, even if i find some logical analysis i look again at the charts and find atleast 2 to 3 confirmations of the pattern or candlesticks and after that i make a trade, in other words you are responsible for your funds so you should not follow anyone blindly but make your own decision based on both fundamental and technical analysis.
Too much experts that were taking the benefit from their followers and they are all dishonest people. I will say if someone is able doing a good research for their own trade and it's better if he can done it personally rather than follow what already created by the experts. Mcafee has become the best example about how expert can lie to the its followers.

that's funny though. Mcafee has turned to be untrustworthy individual in crypto. His credibility is already down because of what he is doing in crypto, giving false statements and supporting crap blockchain projects. yet many people still get him as Advisor to potentially attract some investors. But anyway, there are really people in crypto who are self-proclaimed experts but the reality is, they are hollow inside. so when it comes to trading, better trust your own instincts, rather than follow these ego-centric individuals. you will find that you will do better without them.
2338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✅ 2X2 PoS COIN | STAKING REWARDS 1% EVERY DAY | 365% ROI ✅ on: March 18, 2020, 10:31:15 PM

any other partnerships on the horizon that will make 2x2 coin popular with other crypto users? the more you can get other projects on board, the more useful 2x2coin is. and that will help in increasing its value in the exchanges. don't focus too much in exchange listing. your current exchanges are fine already. you need to be more aggressive in the development to really achieve your 365%ROI.
2339  Economy / Economics / Re: Italian Bank offers Bitcoin Wallet Integration in their Online Platform. on: March 18, 2020, 12:40:10 PM
I believe this is the very first time that a bank (especially a retail one) offers such a service to their customers.
Unfortunately it's only in Italy for now, but it paves the road for integration of crypto services in other banks worldwide.

But the good thing that will come out of this is that if this bank will successfully served the Italians and will have a positive feedback from its users, other banks will follow. Not only in Italy or neighbouring countries but across the globe. it will be a good example if everything goes right here. I hope they really do attain what they are aiming here. it will also be very good to bitcoin adoption. This will contribute in the increase of btc demand.
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Doomed ? on: March 18, 2020, 07:42:26 AM
Let's think of bitcoin situation as opportunities, an opening to serve people for them to buy bitcoin at situation like these with corona virus making its way to prevent people to transact. Because if we think of the situation as bitcoin falling and people hodling it becoming hopeless, nothing will happen. Instead, be positive about it.

And for those who think the concept about bitcoin being a safe haven, I think the situation already state the fact about it. For now, we need to stay calm and should not worry too much because it is the characteristic of bitcoin, which is being an extremely volatile asset.

this another challenge in bitcoin will pass before we know it. pandemic like this doesn't take forever because it can be resolved by tangible solutions such as vaccine and medicine that will cure the disease. and because we have better technology as compared with the old days, the respective institutions will find the solution faster. so i don't think bitcoin is doomed, it will rise up again after this problem. bitcoin has been with all kinds of issues, problems yet still fighting to be in the mainstream and the users keep on growing. so there's no doubt it will recover its market again.
