Change is really happening now in Philippines. One of my friend told me that he has a cousin who is a drug user foa a year. But when President Duterte became a president, his cousin is much responsible now. He do the household chores, planting some rootcrops and even going to church every sunday. His parent totally amaze in his behavior now and also thankful.
If this story is indeed true, then this guy was one of the lucky ones. For 99% of the drug addicts, quitting drugs on their own is just impossible. Even among those who attend de-addiciton therapies, only some 20% to 30% stay away from drugs in the long term. |
