Even if the trader is having a positive feedback, there is no guarantee that he will not try to con you. The difference is that the government controls the supply of fiat currency, while they are helpless against the expansion and usage of Bitcoin. So there is an incentive for them to ban (or even discourage) the usage of Bitcoins.

I don't think that it will be a good idea. Thai royals (and most of the other Asians having royal lineage) are opposed to inter-racial marriage. Also, marrying a commoner can result in the loss of royal privileges for the family members.
