2341  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the highest price BTC can see in 2015? on: November 12, 2015, 12:50:20 PM
I think 502 at best, the last increase that happened last week will be the end of the huge jumps methinks for 2015.  2016 will be there year of the BTC
2342  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ Android Bitcoin Game ] Crypto Scratch Quiz on: November 12, 2015, 12:39:12 PM
Is this game just for fun or do you actually win some coins with your correct answers?  it states you have over 40 Cryptocurrencies so I am assuming the user will win some coins which they can transfer to their wallets?
I have looked at it again and seen that the questions are relating to the 40 currencies so you don't actually win any.  A great app for those that wish to gain further knowledge on the altcoin world.

I saw two of them:

Bitcoin : End of money as we know it
I recommend this one for all those who dont know about where the FIAT money come from, is simply awesome.

Bitcoin: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin
This one was the first one that i saw, is pretty cool because the video is from the point of view of an early adopter ( mostly ) and describe very good how was going on with bitcoin at the beginning.

I can't decide what is better, but i can suggest to all of you to saw both of them Wink

Think I might give both of these a watch at some point, I have heard of The Rise and Rise before but just have not had the time to sit down and watch it.

This is a great idea, this will help the community a great deal when looking for places to spend their BTC
2346  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Unfold" button in poker. Would that work? on: November 10, 2015, 05:07:59 PM
I think it is at least worth a trial to see how it works in reality, if it is a 'flop' Smiley then at least you tried but definitely worth a shot.

I have the same issue, I deposited the minimum as a test 0.001 but it only shows up as 0.00060000 and the TX details state Tip, Thanks!
Can you advise what this is about?

I can see from your deposit located on the blockchain that you did not deposit 0.001BTC, you deposited 0.0006BTC which is well below the minimum. It is stated clearly in our FAQ that amounts under the minimum are sent directly to the change wallet used for fees. Please follow the guidelines before depositing again if you choose to do so.

I thought i deposited 0.001 as I did read that the minimum was 0.001, I transferred this from another site to test out your site and see how it works so there must be an issue with the site I transferred it from they must have taken the 0.0004 as a fee! will need to look at them.
Thanks for adding it to my balance and for your help.

I tried to deposit a sum and it ended up coming out below the minimum (0.00098720). I think it processed as a tip by accident

I would appreciate a response on this, it is not much, but it would make me feel better about the other funds I have invested in the site.

2349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 09, 2015, 05:17:42 PM
It is worth talking to people about it even if it is just laying the foundation, sooner or later they will hear about bitcoin in the news and from other sources and will already have a little bit of understanding.

It is always worth mentioning this forum as a place to go to start with then they can do as much or as little research as they like, there are also faucets which they can use to get some satoshi so they can see how it all works.

I have spoken to a few people but interest is quite low although when the price shot up last week they seemed a bit more interested Smiley

What happened to the promotion I can't see it anymore and my post is gone, odd.  My name when I signed up is tiggytomb
Yes promotion was over when they reached 100 users who registered.
It was limited time offer to those members.
I was within the 100 I'm sure as I posted in the thread but then when I went to check it had gone, no worries it's all good.

If you are there at the beginning it can get you some nice profit, also some do small giveaways which will get you something for nothing, they are dangerous though as you just do not know when they will stop.  As always only put in what you are prepared to lose and don't get greedy.
2353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake LocalBitcoins Android App is Phishing For Bitcoins on: November 06, 2015, 05:39:35 PM
Thanks for the warning, I just saw this story on my twitter feed.  I think Google just looks to make sure it is virus free and is not a gambling app and does not go against their t&cs so it is a bit of a playground.

2355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best trusted website to earn btc? on: November 05, 2015, 11:38:26 PM
Yeah faucets are simply no way to earn any decent amount of bitcoin.  Signature campaigns are probably your easiest route or offer some work for payment in bitcoin.

2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins and Advantages on: November 05, 2015, 06:02:38 PM
There aee now literally hundreds of altcoins some are dead and there are some that are offering something that bitcoin does not.  Proof of stake is one feature which most of the coins bave whereby you earn interest by keeping the coins in your wallet.

If you spend some time in the altcoin ann area you will be able to delve deeper into each coin.  To filter out the rubbish you could checkout coinmarketcap.com and see which coins have decent volume and from there you can click through for more information.

Litecoin comes to mind as it is the little brother of bitcoin and tends to follow bitcoin.
2357  Economy / Services / Re: Ore-Mine.org - Signature campaign - Earn 0.08 BTC for two weeks on: November 04, 2015, 07:41:20 PM
I have seen in other threads that some campaigns are cutting their rates midway through a posting period and thus upsetting some people.  I take it the rate in this campaign will remain the same regardless of a price increase or decrease?

What are the names of those campaigns ? There's nothing backing such decisions mid-way through the posting period. There's zero chance they would increase the rate
if the situation on the market is the other way around and that price lowered.
Coinut has relaunched their campaign midway and reduced their rates, It is not good practice especially midway at least wait until the period is over.I agree that if a bitcoin value is agreed for example 0.0012 per post then regardless of the market it should stay 0.0012.

2359  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Campaings already cutting rates on: November 04, 2015, 06:11:20 PM
It is a shame if campaign managers are reducing the value midway through the campaign, it would be reasonable to finish the current period and then announce rates will be cut, giving the users the chance to decide if they want to stay or go.

Then business is business and as others have said there is no formal agreement in place but one of trust.
2360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge price increase , Side effects ? on: November 04, 2015, 05:57:41 PM
Worse case scenario, the internet shuts down and everything is lost and everyone will have to revert to using cold hard cash which nobody has as we all put it into bitcoin.
