2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 05, 2021, 11:15:31 PM
No ticket selling makes all clubs getting this financial problem. Also, sponsors may not giving huge money for this season. When league stopped, I'm thinking about possibility lot of clubs collapse, because no income. Let's hope COVID will be and, spectator can back to stadium, and clubs get more income next season.
Also, the lack of fans in the stadiums to some extent negates the very concept of home and away games, when the support of the stadium forces the home team to pull everything out of itself to win. It is not for nothing that Juventus fans put up a poster with an appeal to the players, however, who again did not win. I think that the appearance of the tournament table could be very different from the current one in the case of the presence of spectators. By the way, not the least role in the resumption of the championships was played by the fact that television and sponsors pay for the finished product, and the absence of this money would really bury most clubs.
2342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 05, 2021, 11:08:22 PM
I agree that Barcelona should have won this much easier than this score. They hardly secured a win with the goal came in the 90th minute. Valladolid tried to keep the score at 0-0 but they were devastated by the last-minute goal.
Barcelona haven't been losing in the league for 19 matches which is really insane. They are very dedicated for the championship now. They are only 1 point behind Atletico and it's for certain that the championship race will be awesome until the last week. If Barcelona manage to defeat Real Madrid next week, IMO Barcelona can really become the champions at the end.
The main problem is that Real Madrid also wants to participate in the championship race and therefore also wants to beat Barcelona  Grin Unfortunately, Valladolid could not endure a little bit and slow down Barcelona, but Barcelona is a big club and the ability to achieve the desired result even in the last minutes is part of the concept of a big club. The biggest danger of large series is that any series tends to end sometime, and the longer the series goes on, the more likely it is to end. El classico can play in favor of Atletico in a week's time, if Real Madrid wins or there is a draw.
2343  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 05, 2021, 10:46:24 PM
If you would just stick into the general idea that investing can only be affordable to the elites or those who belong to the high social classes, then that is the truth until such time that ordinary people become wise and seek of a way on how they can manage to breakthrough the general idea that investing is only for the rich. Now, on the current time, even ordinary people or low wage earner can still be able to do investment as long as he have the capital whether it is big or small because what matters the most is his capability to choose the right investment opportunity to make his money grow into a large one. The old idea that investment is only for the rich is still accepted but on the new era, everyone can invest but not all can be successful for it. It is still a matter of budget management and decision making.
A lot depends on the personality of the person, his life position, aspirations and of course the purely physical ability to make investments, because when you have a choice between buying food for food and the opportunity to make investments, I am not sure that the choice will be made in favor of investment. Also, do not forget that many people live according to the settings of the consumer society, when people do not want to wait for income from investments, but want to have everything now, driving themselves into the bondage of loans and loans.
2344  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: April 05, 2021, 10:25:53 PM
The three might have different values and one may dominate the other at this time but we cannot disregard the fact that all of them plays a vital role in each country. Bitcoin might be making too much noise right now as its price continues to rise up but still, the gold and oil are still considered essential. There might be a chance that lots of countries are falling short in either of the two and some might be storing plenty of bitcoins for future purposes but still, I don't think one is replacing the other. Maybe time would come when one of this three would be on top but the other two would probably still exist.
These two of the three in the form of gold and oil will exist in physical form in any case, because it seems that no one has come up with a way and so far does not even have plans to come up with a way to destroy gold and oil on planet Earth Wink Gold and oil have a bunch of ways to apply and no cryptocurrency will be able to cancel their application and therefore trade them. Also, any sane large state tries to have reserves consisting of different assets and no one will risk replacing all this with bitcoins.
2345  Economy / Economics / Re: There must be more banks in the world than number of cryptocurrencies on: April 05, 2021, 10:08:54 PM
Where did the idea that more banks would equal to more stable currency? Everything in that message is wrong, every single detail is wrong, I have never seen someone be this wrong this much back to back. Sure banks could start accepting bitcoin (which already happened in Germany) but that doesn't mean it will neither help bitcoin to be more accessible nor does it mean it will equal to economical growth and help us neither.
This is a bad idea, more banks means more places that will need more profits which would mean they will charge more people and that would result with a lot worse things for poor people. Banks have regulations as well, they can't just suddenly give loans with zero interest rate or give savings accounts with 50% interest to you, competition doesn't make it "that" much better because of regulations. So long story short this doesn't work at all.
I also do not quite agree with the author's ideas, but in theory, a larger number of players in the banking market, due to market competition, can contribute to greater stability in the value of the money issued on credit and, ultimately, greater stability of the currency. All this, of course, does not always work, and the market mechanisms do not always work properly, and this is exactly what the regulatory authorities are for. In general, theory does not always coincide with practice, but it is not necessary to say on the basis of this that the theory does not work at all.
2346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? on: April 04, 2021, 11:57:48 PM
In my own honest opinion, I think it will be difficult for stable coins to replace fiat, but it not impossible, it can happen but will take a great amount of time before this happens if it ever will, and another thing am thinking is based on how greedy our government is, they will hardly accept any currency not created by them, this is to say that they will first of all create their own stable coins for the country citizens to adopt, this will give them control over every ones assets, they can only look the way of adopting the current stables coins we have in crypto if the citizens refuse to recognize the government owned stable coins, but like I've earlier, this is possible but very difficult and will take a lot of time before it can come to pass if ever it will happen, this is just my opinion.
This is not even just difficult, but impossible by definition, because stablecoins themselves are tied to fiat currencies in value and appeared in contrast to the very volatile classic cryptocurrencies. The modern model of public administration includes fiat currencies as one of the elements for the functioning of the economy and the influence of government bodies through the issuance of fiat currencies, so states can still allow the parallel circulation of fiat currencies and stablecoins, but the replacement of fiat currencies with stablecoins is out of the question.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 04, 2021, 11:42:47 PM
Thanks for your congratulations nelson4lov Wink but I don't think I was the only one to expect this kind of result, odds were really tight between Sevilla and Atletico as I said above, so even if I am not a big aficionado of spanish soccer I didn't believe in a easy win for Madrid. I don't think having a big incentive to win is enough to easily get the victory otherwise all teams would win which is impossible.
You're welcome.  Smiley Talking about the Sevilla vs Madrid game. The same way you were expecting Atlético not to win easily, it's the same way myself and maybe others too wasn't expecting the outcome to be a loss.  Talking about how having an incentive isn't enough to win a game, I think it does not necessarily to be in all matches. There are matches where team spirit is high and they're motivated as a team to achieve a common goal and end up doing just that. I think that's why it's called a competition. If Atlético really wanted to win, they should have. Odds will always be odds too. There's no concrete way of telling which events would occur and which events won't.
Let's not discount the professional level of a club like Sevilla, which, although it does not claim the title, is in 4th place in the standings, although I certainly did not expect that Atletico would lose this match, and not play in a draw, for example. On the one hand, we should thank Atletico for the resumption of intrigue in the championship, which no one even thought about until recently, but on the other hand, we are very sorry for the wards of Diego Simeone, who are trying to destroy the hegemony of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: April 04, 2021, 11:15:48 PM
Very often there are news in the media that large companies not only invest in cryptocurrencies, but also announce the real use of Bitcoin as a means of payment and Tesla car company can be taken as an example. But the main factor indicating future prospects is the increase in the capitalization of Bitcoin, because it is he who directly affects the duration of the bull run.
In general, the increase in the capitalization of bitcoin is due to the growth of its price, and the price increases on the good news about the use of bitcoin by large players. The increase in capitalization itself is the result of a prolonged bull run, not the other way around. Of course, the increase in capitalization and the duration of the growth of the exchange rate price can affect the attraction of new investors, but do not exaggerate this factor. The most important factor now is whether the market has played all these positive news or there are still reserves for the growth of the exchange rate price of bitcoin.
2349  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Prices Are Soaring Faster Than Inflation and Incomes on: April 04, 2021, 10:55:21 PM
I believe that all this is due to fiat inflation.
It is. Or by the climate crisis, which is already leading to severe crop losses in some regions of the world and thus to higher prices. But if you take away the last reason, only one reason remains: excessive money printing. Because normally the prices should fall now, because more "cheap" labor is available and therefore the prices should fall, similar to the financial crisis.
Also, do not forget about the various pandemic restrictions and lockdowns that led to a decrease in production volumes or even a complete cessation of production, which led to a decrease in the production of agricultural machinery and equipment. I would also like to remind you about the closed borders for migrant workers, which are necessary for seasonal work. All this also contributes to the growth of food prices.
2350  Economy / Economics / Re: How the rich get richer and why it works on: April 04, 2021, 10:45:08 PM
Unfortunately, I have not yet seen a simple guy like me become rich simply by hard work. But I believe that all the envy is only from us and probably for big money you still need to have the appropriate thinking and then something may work out.
There are many easy ways to increase wealth, but the main problem is that these methods become available only when you overcome a certain threshold Wink It depends on what is considered hard work and what is considered wealth, because different people and even in different regions of a particular country have different ideas about it. Someone means hard physical labor, someone may mean working activities for a duration much longer than the usual working week. You can earn a fortune by hard work and be considered rich by the poor people around you, but I am not sure that you will also count yourself by comparing your fortune with people who are much richer than you.
2351  Economy / Economics / Re: The President creates a "Ministery of Extraterrestrial Affairs" on: April 04, 2021, 10:19:39 PM
It all depends on what financial and human resources will be allocated by the government to implement this idea and how far into the future the plans go beyond the hypothetical creation of a spacecraft. Therefore, such a loud name as "ministry" should show the seriousness of intentions, especially since the example of the United Arab Emirates shows that with proper funding and cooperation with the state that already owns the necessary technologies, it is even possible to launch a spacecraft into the orbit of Mars.
2352  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin mining in Texas - new trend - will Tesla follow on: April 04, 2021, 09:58:23 PM
Texas uses self-sufficient energy and that is risky. Or look back at how the blizzard in February exhausted the state. I am not in favor of bitcoin mining in Texas as it could cause a severe energy shortage in the state.
Bitcoin mining should be located in areas close to hydroelectricity or nuclear power facilities because these places have a large capacity and are more stable than other forms of energy.
No one bothers to attend to the construction of their own wind or solar power plants for mining tasks, given some of Tesla's environmental preferences, as well as participation in the production of solar panels and accumulators. Although I have great doubts that mining is among the priorities of Elon Musk due to its relatively low marginality and the claims of environmentalists to mining due to the large consumption of electricity.
2353  Economy / Economics / Re: More bullish news: Paypal will alllow crypto checkout on: April 04, 2021, 09:46:28 PM
I still have one main question. When paypal will allow crypto withdraws from their system?
Be patient. They are allowing additional features in a gradual manner. They will not roll out everything overnight, because they are a listed company and therefore they need to take care of the tax and legal implications. I am sure that the government authorities are not happy about all this and PayPal needs to deal with that as well. But to their credit, PayPal is standing up to the authorities (unlike the case with FaceBook, which cancelled their plans for Libracoin).
I am not quite sure that the question is about the opposition to the authorities. Here we can rather say that PayPal has implemented support for some cryptocurrencies and the expectation of a reaction to its actions from the authorities. A completely different story with Facebook, here we are talking about the introduction of its own cryptocurrency by a huge corporation with huge capital, and here there really was some dissatisfaction on the part of the authorities multiplied by antitrust claims.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 03, 2021, 11:57:55 PM
Another weekend, another slight win as Inter Milan edges closer to the serie A scudetto title by winning 1  nil away at Bologna thanks to the goal from Romelu Lukaku; With AC Milan playing a 1-1 draw at home to Sampdoria; Inter Milan has now gone 8 points clear at the top of the league; with a game in hand. The title is staying in Milan.
Bologna 0 - 1 Inter
Milan and Juventus, with their injuries and loss of points, presented a chic gift to Inter, which does not allow itself such a misfire. The most important thing is that Milan and Juventus lost during their matches and were saved only at the end of the matches. I used to be against hasty predictions, but I can't imagine now what a fantastic scenario would have to happen for Antonio Conte's players to lose their solid advantage. On the one hand, Conte is cautious, but he is already talking about the vision of the title at the end of the championship.
2355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recovering losses on: April 03, 2021, 11:42:13 PM
Unlike any other trading environment, you can make big profits in this crypto space just by holding for longer duration. Just plan up trades for years (but within only bitcoin) then definitely you will get at least 10x profits for your investments.
About at least a tenfold profit in bitcoin over the next few years sounds quite bold, because at the current exchange rate, we are already talking about $ 600,000 and I personally am not so sure about this forecast Wink Another question is that you can try to wait for a correction and make a purchase at a lower price. I would be more confident about such a price forecast in altcoins, but there are pitfalls and instability of much larger orders.
2356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: April 03, 2021, 11:29:29 PM
You say Bitcoin is for holders, this means for people who use Bitcoin as an asset. Because only investors and traders care about Bitcoin price
movements, but for people who do adopt Bitcoin as payment. It doesn't really matter if Bitcoin goes up or down, what they are worried about is
the volatile Bitcoin price. So in this case if we talk Bitcoin from the point of view of investors and traders, I agree Bitcoin is for holders,
not for weak hands. Because it is very profitable for holders who can be patient not to sell their Bitcoin in the long run.
I would like to make some clarifications. Investors may have different goals in buying and storing bitcoins, depending on this, and the strategy is chosen. Therefore, for long-term storage measured in years, the really large volatility of the bitcoin price is not so significant. But for investors operating for months, all this volatility is exciting and they are closer to traders, because it is not always possible to get out of owning an asset without losses.
2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to sell my BTC? on: April 03, 2021, 11:12:56 PM
just sell some and buy altcoins or you can save them for future investment bro, bitcoin is now crazy, especially since elon musk entered, lots of big companies have followed suit
A lot depends on the behavior of the bitcoin price in the coming weeks, and if there is confidence that the bitcoin price will remain at current levels, then it is really worth selling some and buying altcoins that have a good growth potential. Only it is necessary to take into account such a factor that with a potential collapse in the price of bitcoin, the fall in the price of altcoins will be even higher.
2358  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: April 03, 2021, 10:58:30 PM
We see that over the past year, when all states began to fight the coronavirus pandemic and the consequences of this struggle began to negatively affect all economies without exception, which, in turn, increased world inflationary processes, bitcoin attracted a lot of people's attention as a non-inflationary means. This is one of several reasons why Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general are soaring in popularity and price. Therefore, I do not think that Bitcoin still has to be tested during the global economic crisis. We can already say that he successfully passed this test.
I would not be so confident and so complacent and would like to remind you about the collapse of the bitcoin price at the beginning of the pandemic. I would rather say that Bitcoin has successfully passed its first exam as a defensive asset Wink The pandemic has not gone away yet, and new waves continue to roll over the lives and economies of states, forcing central banks to continue printing more and more money. But no one knows for sure how the exchange rate price of bitcoin will behave when such government programs are curtailed, and there is a fear of seeing the collapse of the bitcoin price then.
2359  Economy / Speculation / Re: Despite six months of rising Bitcoin prices, Peter Brent says up to $ 50,000 cor on: April 03, 2021, 10:46:09 PM
So, technically I have a prediction that the current sideaway market will just make bitcoin meet a correction. After that, we will see a huge increase when many investors think that its price has touched a lower price (yeah can be said $50.000 as its lower price) and tge $60.000 barrier will be passed easily.
Just in overcoming the price of $ 60,000, there is nothing surprising and very difficult, but how the price fluctuations will continue to occur already raises questions and I am not sure about the subsequent rapid price growth. The most important thing is that during the subsequent correction, the price should stay around $ 55,000 or $ 50,000 at the very least. I think that some events in the bitcoin price will still happen for a couple of months, but I have big doubts that there will be a big price rise in the summer.
2360  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast do you think will Bitcoin reach $100k? on: April 03, 2021, 10:30:45 PM
Bitcoin won't reach $100k in a single run. Maybe it will reach there after three to four turn. At each circle the price might increase 13-15% within a week then it will have a small correction, stability and another upward move after few weeks. Overall it may take upto four months to reach that mark. Even it can happen quickly. So enjoy the market movement and hold your BTC!
I am no longer surprised by anything about bitcoin's growth given the previous history, but I am not sure that we will be able to see a price of $ 100,000 in 4 months. I think that some growth will continue until the beginning of the summer, and in the summer there will be some calm and even a correction. The main events will develop in the fall and if everything goes well, then we will be able to see this cherished price.
