Anyways, this update is very important as it bothers our wallet addresses and our own funds safety. Amy body wey know say their wallets still need to change make you for rush so settle the matter before your funds  go Waka o.
2342  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: {Warning}: Fake Syscoin website on: April 15, 2023, 12:30:05 AM
I tried as well but the site has been taken down thanks to OP for exposing them for their nefarious act. Only God knows how many have already fall victim of that fake website phishing and secondly the Swift response to reporting the site from members here was wonderful as it was done with utmost effect to further stall people's wallet from being hacked and funds stolen.

@Baofeng you did a good job by making available the report form so members could see it and making report immediately when ever any fake phishing website is spotted. How I wish it is possible to make a pinned post of that Google for to report fake phishing website. That would be nice as members could see and report immediately any of such noticed and verified fake phishing website.
2343  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin miners in Nigeria on: April 14, 2023, 11:59:16 PM
But the problem is, the electricity that is good here today may become bad, you should be prepare to change your location again. I am not a miner, so I may not have the accurate information. But I know that there are some miners in Nigeria, although they contribute negligible hashrate to the bitcoin network.

I also know of a place in Nigeria with a 24/7 electricity power supply and it is absolutely free because of the presence of the power station there and the agreement the company held with the host community.

I once lived in Afam oyigbo in Rivers state where I discovered that meh the light there was something else and for the period of the 1 year Iived there, the only took the light once and that was because the transformer had a little issue but the light was fixed in less than 3 hours and that was when I began thinking of the possibility of having a mining pool or farm as the case may be and I also tried writing to some persons and entities but got no reply then.

If there is anyone in Nigeria who's into mining and at some point needs a place with absolutely free and constant electricity, then Afam oyigbo should be considered because of the presence of the Afam power station there.
Small small this thread don dey bring good places wey person fit go set up mining business. I bin go visit my friend for Afam one time and the guy carry me go the electricity generating plant. My people I see massive big generator wey dey produce power. My man even tell me say dem no dey pay NEPA bill because na the community dey host NEPA but the light no too steady the way eh dey before because some of the generating set done spoil. Dem arrange some of those power generators since 1982 and the government no dey maintain the station. But I still agree say Afam na good place to mine if them dey still they get constant and free electricity.
This topic go Sha because as it stands now we din begin know places for some areas now wey dey get steady electricity supply. E good make we for know Weds person go fit for ant of those places go start up something wey dey always require constant power supply. E get one place wey Dem tell me for orashi say light dey dey there steady non stop. Even if e go under like atmost 30 minutes Dem don bring am back. You see ehn how I wish the people living in these places get the idea of bitcoin mining, them for do. Begin am sharp sharp without any delay but as e b Dem no get idea Dem no even know wetin be bitcoin even the ones wey know no get the resources to start up bitcoin mining. Abi na Bonny wey dey use gas turbine with twenty four hours light. You see, truly information and education is powerful.

True true education na power but I no sure say this ideology reach Bitcoin mining because e get plenty people wey already know about mining but I believe say you already know say Bitcoin mining no be small work and a d very expensive work wey dey require plenty money and some times the reward no dey really worth am na e make most persons dey prefer mining pool to farm.

I go like be part of any mining farm but I know say anybody wey successfully set up Bitcoin mining farm, no go want temper with am because he already know how much he don invest and he no go want compromise those investments especially getting people wey fit later batray am.

Like I been talk am say bitcoin mining dey very expensive and the people wey dey around those axis wey light dey steady no too fit get the resources to start up the bitcoin mining farm and people too wey get the Idea probably no dey that side so to dey setup that facility for those areas go need constant monitoring and inspection which we all know say na resources wey dey involved for that parol. As you talk say person wey don setup that bitcoin mining facility no fit temper with am again na true Sha because e don spend resources but for somebody to set up such facility, e for good say where the person set up the mining farm na personal property or place wey nobody too dey get access to make e dey protected and too for last long without any disturbance.

2345  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Casinos - Consumer's Choice 2023! on: April 14, 2023, 05:15:42 PM
I would say its probably stake, but then again you did not really give us a wide array of options. Stake is basically the only old and trustworthy (As vetted by the community in the past) on your list. In fact I have never even heard of Crashino or Justbit before now... It seems like you just randomly picked the names of the first five casinos you have heard or seen before making this thread. Furthermore we already have a list of good casinos as well as their details of KYC, Terms and Conditions, withdrawal fees and so on... You might want to do a bit more research, OP, is what I am saying..

If you noticed in my previous post, I called OPs attention to that aspect and I was wondering what op was thinking about it till now.  It still remained the same. Well, the only thing I noticed was the inclusion of criteria, procedures and process
Which was  involved in selection. I think OP should inform the house the exact time of the awards so that participants would have the Idea the time schedule. Another I would say is that op should do well list the other casinos here for voting too.
2346  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: CBN want to close bank accounts yet to link their bvn. on: April 14, 2023, 12:45:10 PM
So people still dey wey neva link their account with BVN sef? Na wa oo wey government no take action about am all this while come dey allow them use the account till today. I been see the news but I been think say na accounts wey dem open and them no dey use am do anything na him CBN wan close down. This rule of linking BVN to accounts don tey where be say everybody by now suppose don do am. Any action wey CBN go take about am now, e dey very welcome as far as e no cause harm to the general public and na only the affected people go face the consequences.

My own question be say the banks wey those account holders dey with no fit call the attention of the account holders to do the needful since then till now abi the account dem dey dormant for that long with or without funds in them? Well i no go dey surprise because Bank too get their own interest in those accounts as na those accounts Dem dey use dey run their business wey make Dem no dey talk about them. As  e be so, those accounts sometimes na wetin Dem dey hope on to carry out their shaddy deals and I no go dey surprise say most of those accounts owner dey late while some na  invalid address holders ie ghost account.
2347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto as "payment" method adaptable for non tech-savvy people? on: April 14, 2023, 11:20:13 AM
This question is really a newbie type with a fictional experience. OP, while reading and seeing the 6 years of teaching and helping others to implement bitcoin payment in their various activities and setups, I was thinking and reading to seeing your achievements and goals well stated but it was not clear with me when I got to the last paragraphs of your post. Does it mean all the years you have been helping others you learnt nothing from the past so as to remedy the future when any of such comes up? Do you not have proofs to show to the people who you met in the recent and are still sceptical about bitcoin? What happened to the knowledge gained in the past 6 years to apply in handling the current situation you found yourself. If you can, get your previous experiences with your past works out the all together and use them to educate your possible and potential clients in the future so as not to get them scared. Maybe you might get it right this time around.
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 14, 2023, 10:56:16 AM
Sometimes having no money for a start up can actually be a blessing in disguise. Maybe there are some things that you are ought to learn which have not really done hence you will need to do them to learn and get the experience so that you can control or handle them well when it starts coming in. All these put together are the supposed experience one needs before going into a particular activity.  For instance before an organization put up notice for vacancy, there must be some terms and conditions to fulfill before you think of applying for the position that is same applicable to life principles just as OP has said. All the years you took time to get prepared for the journey ahead and now you are reaping the fruit of your labor. Those techniques you learnt I believe are helping you now to forge ahead.
So therefore, no experience is a waste of time.
2349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF ONLY EVERYONE CAN EASILY ACCEPT CRYPTO on: April 14, 2023, 10:37:25 AM
Don't mix Bitcoin with crypto aka shitcoins.
This is why Bitcoin is better than banking system, it's faster and transparent, there's no hide or secret fee if you want to send a coins. Government will not want to accept Bitcoin as a currency because people might tend to choose Bitcoin over their fiat and banks, if not many people use fiat and banks, the government will not make a lot money and many banks will collapse.

Mate, OP was not wrong in calling them Crypto currency. Bitcoin is still under the Crypto currency classification and it is a blockchain on its own while shitcoins just as you have said are the altcoin or tokens that liverages on other blockchain to sustain their scalability.

No doubt bitcoin is the most popular Crypto currency in the world and has gained traction for itself since it's inception. However, bitcoin and Fiat are unique in their own ways so therefore, non of them can be sidelined to function in the capacity of the others with the rate of the current situation of their existence.

Fiat globally is the government number one recognized legal tender approved by them but bitcoin is a digital asset yet to be recognized and approved by most of the government globally for the fear of their local fiat being neglected. The fears of the government are too many to accept bitcoin in place of their currency digitally.
2350  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asking me for KYC although their site explicitly states no KYC on: April 14, 2023, 10:15:02 AM
A gambling site can state that you do not need to provide KYC before you can withdraw, but know that it would also be stated that they can ask for KYC at anytime. Those gamblings sites are centralized, because they do not require KYC for withdraw do not mean they can not request for KYC at anytime.

It requires KYC.

https://justbit.io/pl/policy/payment

Quote
2. To withdraw funds from the account, the user is required to complete identity verification through kyc procedure at his user’s account. justbit reserves the right to check user’s identity and source of deposited funds prior to processing payouts and to hold withdrawals for the time needed to check the user’s identity. in case of false personal data provided by the user, the withdrawal can be denied and the user account can be cancelled. the user will be informed thereof by email noted at his/her user’s account.

It was obviously clear that OP did not read the terms and conditions before engaging with the casino. These are the common problems with most gamblers, they fail to take out time to read rules and guidelines governing a casino just because of the bonus at the  first instance so they hurrily do get registered targeting  to get the bonus forgetting that every platform have their terms of engagement. Their memory forget to tell them about reading the company policies before making deposit as that should be the next line of thought upon any gambler wanting to make deposit  into his or her casino wallet address on their dashboard.

Another issue I seem to understand is that people do not ask questions to under after they must have read through a policy not clear with them. They just assume that they are ok with it and forgetting that what they have read has a legal backing and as a matter of fact, it is a clause ready to hold them down but out of ignorance, they fail to understand that there must be a reason for that clause and fail to come here for questioning the various representatives of the casinos they want to engage with to get clarity before engaging them with their funds.
2351  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by Joon aka NetkaJoon on: April 13, 2023, 10:51:52 PM
Please OP, screenshots of your chat with him would be much better

Also include proof of payment (The 2 BTC that you sent to him) and also proof that he used a Google Translate service. I will add negative feedback and a trust flag to his profile if everything check out

I see NetkaJoon was online today, and they even edited the ANN (Deleted) the information, which makes me think the person might be guilty and is trying to hide some evidence

I have worked as a CM in Korea for the past 5 years, and I am also an unofficial member of a marketing agency. So far, I have managed more than 60 projects and maintained good relationships with clients (I have reference letters)

Currently, I'm working with 5 other Koreans, and 24/7 management is possible if necessary.

I can manage the global community and have experience with it, but it's not my area of expertise.

I also run a Korean crypto channel with over 42k subscribers. By introducing the project on this channel, and interested people join the project community, I can easily and organically help the Korean local community grow.

If you are interested, please contact me on Telegram - https://t.me/Thewire2 or Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/koreanmarketing/

Thank you.

This you have advised is the best thing OP should have done. Giving evidence and facts to back the accusations irrespective of what the accused have done, it is more to back up your claims with evidence so as not to cast doubt in your side for not fulfilling his own part. Without evidence one would think OP is not genuine and must have been paid for such act which in the real sense is not so but it has been ops experience with the accused.
I think after seeing this accusations placed on his created thread he should have responded to it to clear the doubt and free his name from the accusations but no response yet. Seems and looks fishy though.
2352  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No b to rush enter tech nah to choose beta tech skil b d mata on: April 13, 2023, 10:37:09 PM
Absolutely, you made a nice point. Skilling up is the ultimate goal now as far tech is concerned. Currently, the space is getting much notice it requires and bigger players are coming in looking for the right gate keepers who they can trust to deliver in various fields.

Just as OP had mentioned, these areas of specialization are very much needed in the technological space as they are the major work force to move projects faster.

One acquiring such skills keeps them relevant in the field and helps them develope on themselves more often creating new ideas so that the work would keep going on.

2353  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: April 13, 2023, 09:44:15 PM
I will say that being poor is a function of ones mindset and mentality. If your reasoning does not get outside the box, you will remain inside the box and  being confined within poverty. If you are consistent in your little effort without to making a business tell me why that business would not grow big. I hear people talk of funds to start business but I wonder if they had really tried on their own doing that business to get the experience before going for the loan or anything else to improve their business but the reverse is the case.

Staying poor is a thing of personal choice if you want to break out of the poverty you go extra miles to engage your mind, keeping good companies, good environment and do little investment too this can help you grow better and stronger.
2354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I earn only from cryptocurrencies? on: April 13, 2023, 08:48:49 PM
I wonder, how many of you work in crypto full time, and how many use this as an additional source of income?
If you want to, you can share with us what you are doing in crypto. Is it trading, aidrops, writing articles, marketing, etc ?

OP as you can see this board is all about bitcoin and Crypto currency activities. So therefore you should know mostly 99% of members here earn bitcoin and other Crypto currencies in one way or the other.

Down to your question,  I must say blockchain is an institution on its own and therefore bitcoin and Crypto made available full time job cutting across all divide. This gives has created lots of job opportunities for people some see it as a full time job and some as a part time job to earn extra source of income. However, there are lots of well paid jobs on Crypto and they varries in dimensions.

Let me start by giving you hints as I make a brief description of the following as you have mentioned;

Trading: this involves one taking advantage of the market situation to making profit when they buy and sell  a token or coin ie when a particular coin price is down one buys some of it and when it is up one sells it. This can be done every day to make profit.

Airdrops:  New projects do give out their tokens to increase the numbers of holders and to create awareness of their project through airdrops. With this, the publicity and holders tend to increase and making the project for which the airdrop is given being popular and we'll known.

Bounties: This is a strategic pattern or way of making a project popular. It is a job done by bounty hunters to promoting a project. This involves, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Article writing and lots more  marketing processes involved. This aspect of marketing is managed by a campaign manager here and tokens allocated for each section of the campaign to be paid depending on agreement between the two teams involved in promoting the project.

There are other jobs like; community moderating, graphics designing, web Developing etc all these jobs  are full time and part time job one can get engaged in to make or earn more Crypto currencies from.

OP this is just  the minimum explanatory so you could understand how it works. Atleast now you know the Jobs involved here and about Crypto jobs and payment.
2355  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 13, 2023, 07:53:55 PM
Borrowing money is one of the crucial things, in the end people's interpretations of debt are different, borrowing money will feel like a vicious circle if it's not taken into account, but borrowing money in a planned way can be a very good investment for some people.
To avoid this vicious circle, we must calculate and plan loans and how we repay these loans
Maybe what you say is true. because we can also see that many large companies actually rely on loans to banks in developing their business. but of course with careful planning. and maybe that's fine. but for anyone who makes a loan without careful planning without even taking into account the level of ability to pay, borrowing must be avoided. because it is indeed at risk of making someone prone to being trapped in a vicious circle that makes them addicted. but those who borrow with careful calculations and planning like a company that also does it are indeed understandable. but I personally prefer to develop a business without making a loan because it's less risky.

A big organization or company borrowing is not an issue though because as long as they are making huge profit, they can be able to repay their loan back in a short while. Mind you before a bank gives out loan to a business firm, they must have seen your business proposal or blue print so as to ascertain the figure contained in your proposal and the value of the project if all blend together but the major thing bank will emphasize on is your profit revenue if you can be able to meet up with the repayment of the loan when given to you.

The careful planing you talk about is all entailed in your business proposal because when the bank goes through your proposal, there they would see how you would run your business and repayment plan as you outlined the whole process in your proposal.

2356  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: April 13, 2023, 03:47:10 PM
Indeed money is powerful. Money intoxicates. Money is the only language humans hear and understand. With money, one lives life to the fullest. Money stops nonsense. Money attracts Money. It changes ones level, it makes one thinks positively. With Money one can get the good things of life to live to the fullest.
According to the Bible, money answereth all things but the love of  money is the root to all evil only when you allow it to get over your head.
One thing I would always say and this I tell my friends to not allow money make you forget your humble beginning. Never dispise your early days of life because of money as those days were amongst the life experience that made you today.
2357  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin miners in Nigeria on: April 13, 2023, 02:38:20 PM
To be frank with you OP, bitcoin mining as we all know needs constant electricity power supply and I believe we into the bitcoin system knows that very well. With the epileptic power supply  facing the country is nothing to write home about.  Although there are some part that receives constant electricity power supply but based on knowledge and information, they are not properly informed about this and I really do not know if they can be able to set up the facility for mining of bitcoin.

@Charles-Tim what you have said about the electricity power supply of the north is nothing different from the truth. Like in zamfara, kaduna and Abuja where I once was do enjoy nearly  24 hours electricity supply but I doubt if they are really aware or can be able to do this there.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 13, 2023, 02:08:34 PM
I haven't played slots at all in more than a week because after my last win back then at slots I decided to take a break for a while to play slots.
After all, there are some gamblers who complain and say that slot games lately cannot be relied upon and always end badly.
And because some of the reviews from these slot game players make me more confident to keep stopping for a moment so as not to experience the same fate where I get defeat or loss.

You are very lucky you won your last slot game and it was a wise and smart decision you took to go on a break and that is you gaming responsible. You know, when I win a game, I do take break from that particular casino and also from gambling for a while and upon resumption, I play another casino and not the particular casino I had earlier won from and that keeps me going.

In terms of review, I do that based on my experience with a casino and not mostly be with what others have said. I believe  reviews are mostly from personal experience which is gotten from a particular casino or others in the course of engagement but often times, most of the reviews are fake and not genuine as there have been events here where some people request for paid review which we all know is not ethical.
2359  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How NEPA dey treat you for your area? Good or bad? on: April 13, 2023, 10:16:42 AM
As a professional best practice,  get an alternative power supply,  is either you get Gen set or you get solar energy as an alternative because,  right from inception electricity supply in Nigeria has been epileptic and poor, we're 9ja households can't boost 5 hours of electricity supply.
-So instead of leaving your business at the mercy of Nepa you have to think of alternative ways to generate electricity for your use.
-For my area, Nepa dey try well well, we get steady light for here but at least we still dey spend 2-3  hours a day without light, so if you get alternative you can possibly not go off supply for 24/7.
-But I sure say why we dey see light like this, na because of our location since na capital and na City centre I dey, light no fit dey go off light that.
-I know we have some local governments within Nigeria that have not seen light for up to 4 months and yet their pay bills that is how bad the situation has become

As a guy into ITC, you need not to depend on NEPA here in Nigeria otherwise frustration is your next name. In Nigeria, power supply is not taken seriously by the government hence the epileptic power supply across all division. In other to avert business lose and other challenges in the cause of electricity outtage.  One would need to source or make readily available other means of electricity supply such as solar power, generator, inverter etc only with thee alternative options, one would be able to sustain themselves in their various businesses which requires constant electricity.  What baffles me most is that NEPA being fully aware of their lapses in power supply still at month end sends bill to people to pay up for what they did not consume.

I will suggest you look into it. Thanks you.
