2341  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: October 02, 2022, 06:14:57 AM
It is a pity that Stake is doing away with a small bonus for everyone when their Sponsored Soccer team "Everton Football Club" is winning. They have replaced this with a Bonus Drop in Telegram for a small amount of people and it is gone within seconds after it is posted. The last one was a $20 drop on Telegram.  Roll Eyes

When they sponsored "Watford" and they won.... everyone got a bonus, now only a small amount of people are getting something. Stake... bring back the good old day, when we all celebrated when your sponsored teams won.  Wink
2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A New Study - Bitcoin is 56x more energy Efficient than Traditional Banks on: October 02, 2022, 05:53:38 AM
"We demonstrate Bitcoin consumes 56X less energy than the classical system. When Lightning is compared to Instant Payments, Bitcoin gains exponentially in scalability & efficiency, proving to be up to a million times more energy efficient per transaction."

I am seeing that only Bigger members like hero or legendary members are giving merits each other, not to newbies or other such people. I was hoping that people who have best and good post might get merit but that's not the case 😁

When someone post a half-ass thread like this, without the source for their information and then complain about "Merit" .... I have to respond.  Roll Eyes Have you ever scrutinized the post that are getting "Merit" and learnt from that?

This would have been a "great" post, if you did it properly, because it is a "hot" topic in the community and everyone are waiting for someone to do proper research on the energy usage of Banks vs energy usage of Crypto currencies.

Try again... and do some proper research and discussion... then you might get some "Merit" for it.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 01, 2022, 08:52:33 AM
Now the question is..... Why did they allow her to enter the casino/gambling shop with her child? In our casinos ...nobody under the age of 18 are allowed to enter a place of gambling. (Not even as a spectator)  Roll Eyes

The casino should have called the authorities while she was there and arrested her and then the child should have been placed in a place of safety or with a family member.

We live in a strange world, where people are doing very crazy things.  Angry
2344  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Exclusion of Chicken Invaders: the Xmas version (My favourite) on: October 01, 2022, 08:45:05 AM
A lot of these old games was replaced by games that are coded in new languages. Many of the most used programming languages, including Java and C++, are used by online slot developers for making online slots. Slot machines can also be programmed using python slot machine, Erlang, JavaScript Slot, Lua, C#, ActionScript, Objective-C, and HTML5. (Source : https://www.pissedoffgeek.com/2021/06/24/how-online-slots-are-programmed/ )

Some of them were running in Flash and they were full of bugs and errors..... like this old favorite of mine ==> https://www.vegasslotsonline.com/betsoft/it-came-from-venus/
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nuclear and gas fastest growing energy sources for Bitcoin mining: Data on: October 01, 2022, 08:26:51 AM
I am also curios to see how they get that data..... because a lot of the smaller mining operations (individuals) come from areas that are serviced by Wind and Solar power plants. So are they only looking at the location of the large mining farms and what electricity they are using... or are they looking at the inputs from the smaller miners too?

It is strange that we (Bitcoin community) have to justify and explain our "Energy" use... but large corporations are flying under the radar. (Example : How many Fiat ATM's are using "clean" energy? ..... How many card readers in shops are using renewable resources? .....etc.. )
2346  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Games' RTP, variable?? on: September 30, 2022, 07:53:59 AM
Ps - All money wagered goes into the casino's bankroll..

Ok, thank you

But what about the providers remuneration?  it is on percentage basis ? Fixed rates ?  Both ??

The information on this is very confidential between the casino and the 3rd party service provider, so you will not get "clear" answers on that. Logic says that they enter into a contractual agreement to take a percentage of the profits made on those Slots and that they have some kind of "hire" agreement in place... with options to change the RTP.

It is a myth that the RTP and Variance are being changed on the fly, but we know different casinos can run the same Slot on different RTP, so you will have to do some research to see which Slot is running what RTP to improve your odds. (Note it will be 1 or 2 percent at best, so it does not make a world of difference)  Roll Eyes
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: September 30, 2022, 05:55:21 AM
One of the major reasons why small-scale entrepreneurs fail is this :

They do not listen and adapt to the changing needs of their customers. Around 60 percent of new restaurants fail within the first year and nearly 80 percent start to fail before their fifth anniversary.

Why does that happen? .....well, people will eat their favorite food for a while and then they will start looking for something different. We humans are wired to look for variety ....not to stay with one thing for the rest of our lives... diets and preferences change over time and businesses should understand that and change with that over time.  Wink
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin over Tor isn't a good idea" on: September 30, 2022, 05:37:30 AM
It is well known that some 3L3tter agencies are running several Tor exit nodes ...so it is a great vulnerability to run a node over Tor, but it is still more secure than running it over a public network.  Roll Eyes

We should take some precautions to protect our "nodes" .... but nothing is 100% secure in a world where attacks are coming from highly trained and skilled people that knows almost all exploits in the system. ( A lot of those attacks are government sanctioned)  Roll Eyes
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 29, 2022, 03:16:57 PM
Well, I once won $5000+ on a Slot and I was in the clouds with the win.... I withdraw some of that money and I deposited it onto another online gambling site that hosted one of my favorite games (Crash) ..... I then played for a while and I accidental clicked on maximum bet and did not notice it... until my whole balance was gone.

I went into full degen mode from anger and I withdraw more money from the site where I won the $5000 and deposited it again.... played for 5 hours and lost it all in one day.  Angry Angry Angry Angry
2350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 03:10:57 PM
The problem come in when your country ban gambling and the casino adds your country to the restricted list, then you will have to access that casino via a VPN and if the casino find out that you are bypassing their control measures, they might not pay out your winnings when you want to withdraw.

The casinos will not look into your "secret" ....until you hit something big and you want to withdraw.... then they will ask for KYC verification and when they check that, they will see you are from a restricted country and they will not payout the winnings. (See Hacksaw Gaming rules when you hit the max payout)  Wink
2351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any experiences with mrSloty.com ? on: September 29, 2022, 06:24:37 AM
I will avoid them like the plague, if you read this review ==> https://thepogg.com/casino-review/mr-sloty/

"Mr Sloty appear to be involved in the distribution of fake games and they are known for not responding to customer complaints. Mr Sloty is a owned by MRSL NV. It claims to be licensed in Curacao, but fails to offer any link to validate its license."

So there you have it..... access this site with caution, because it has a bad reputation in the gambling community.  Wink
2352  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-22] JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon slammed crypto and called BTC Ponzi Scheme on: September 29, 2022, 05:59:27 AM
They say.... when you live in a glass house... you should not throw stones.  Roll Eyes  Well, let's look at JPMorgan's history to see if they can afford to throw stones. "All in all, JP Morgan was fined $35,241,500,000 in a three-and-a-half year period" - https://www.dividend.com/dividend-education/a-brief-history-of-jp-morgans-massive-fines-jpm/

"In the largest fine (of any single company) in corporate history, JP Morgan settled for $13 billion in November of 2013. The charges stemmed from misleading investors on what regulators dubbed “toxic mortgages.”

Would you take financial advice from a CEO of a financial institution that has a history like that?
2353  Economy / Economics / Re: Buckle up, America: The Fed plans to sharply boost unemployment on: September 28, 2022, 01:04:59 PM
So their logic is this ...... increase unemployment ...so that less people can be consumers and this will force businesses to lower their prices for the goods and services.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Do they know that less people working = lower tax income for their hungry government pockets? This is exactly why I buy bitcoins.. to try and get away from a FIAT financial system, that are being manipulated to suit their hidden political agendas. (Why not just go to the root of the problem and try to get alternatives for the things that are causing higher inflation) ffs!

They just want to do a "reset" on the salaries that are growing with inflation.... so you create a situation where you have to sack someone and then later employ them again at a much lower salary.  Angry
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 28, 2022, 12:56:24 PM
Well, it all depends on how big you want to go and what your target market is going to be. If you are going to run original games that were developed by yourself and you just want to target a small market, you will most probably get away without a license.

A lot of startup casinos start out small with original games to build and as they grow, they want to expand into offering more third party games and these providers will require the casinos to have valid licenses. As they grow.... regulators will also start noticing them and then they too will hunt for those licenses.  Wink
2355  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: September 28, 2022, 06:34:32 AM
SO explain to me how/why Eddie ON STREAM has players from Germany via discord and talks to them.

Wouldnt make any sense if those are not allowed to play.

Also always saying "big shout out to the german community on stake which is huuuge"
They mostly use VPN probably, another option is the community members are located outside of Germany.
Anyways, the most restricted areas have more users on Stake community, IMHO.
The problem is not always VPN, sometimes the user refuses passing KYC level due to some personal reasons and this causes huge problems for both parties.
Maybe the Stake representative can explain it better for us...

They are 100% located in Germany, I am also in the german chat frequently.
Also, all of them are verified and play at stake without any problem.

I am abroad but I am native German and when I log into my stake account I ALWAYS use a German VPN, how about that?

Another scenario might be that they have duel citizenship, because a neighbor of my father is a German and he migrates between Germany and 2 other countries, depending on the weather in Europe.

So when it is Winter in Europe... he migrates to a country where there are warmer weather for 6 months and then he returns home. I know this guys plays on Stake, because I introduced him to it.  Wink
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: September 28, 2022, 06:27:03 AM
The thing is.... people with money get bored of the every day things that we might think that are awesome. They do the most incredible things, like going on holiday 7 times a year and they travel the world and eat in the most expensive restaurants.

A lot of them are looking for something that will give them a rush of adrenaline and pleasure and they might find that in Sex or Drugs or even gambling. The adults do this and the children grow up and they do that too... so the parents are setting a bad example and some of them just flood the child with money..so that the adults can have a great time, without having to spend time with their kids.  Roll Eyes
2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nuclear and gas fastest growing energy sources for Bitcoin mining: Data on: September 28, 2022, 06:17:19 AM
The people with the hidden agendas does not worry about the source of the energy used for mining... their agenda are focused on PoW and how much energy it consumes. If all the energy consumed by Crypto mining were coming from sustainable and clean power sources, they will still moan about the amount that is used.

We are dealing with shills for the governments and people that are making money from the Fiat financial system, who are drumming up these false facts about Crypto mining to justify their attacks on PoW.  Wink
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: September 27, 2022, 10:36:48 AM
I dont understand, does Twitch bans only streaming selected games (slots, dice and roulette) or streaming any kind of gambling? I find that as a strange move by such a huge social media giant. On the other hand, strange to see YouTube allows streaming gambling, ref links and lots of betting content. As well as insert their own ads of scam investment (I often see an ad - investment platform by Tesla owner Elon Musk) during video.

No, they will ban all casino content, when they do implement something like this. There were several people complaining about this and they do not want negative publicity, so they doing a blanket ban... from what I understand.

The problem with moving to a different platform now... is the size of these smaller platforms. The casinos wants to attract new gamblers, they do not simply want to target old customers that are already subscribed to the current gambling streamers.  Roll Eyes
2359  Economy / Economics / Re: GPU price in China drop to their lowest level in histor after the ethereum merge on: September 27, 2022, 06:05:34 AM
Well, to be honest ... most people were mining Ethereum and some other Alt coins with their GPU cards... so it is just natural that the demand for these GPU cards will decline, if PoW are replaced by PoS.

I found that most of the miners that were mining Ethereum, just switched to other Alt coins that still use PoW, so there will be a lot of people still mining with GPU cards.  Roll Eyes

The hype of the whole Ethereum merge will blow over soon ....and people will realize that other Alt coins are still profitable.  Wink
2360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen If Bitcoin got stabled ? on: September 27, 2022, 05:57:49 AM
If Bitcoin wants to be a reserve currency, the price will have to be less volatile. Just look at the volatility of global reserve currencies and you will see how stable they are.

The thing that are making Bitcoin so volatile are all the Bitcoin whales that are buying and dumping a lot of coins to make quick profits. The only way for the Bitcoin price to become less volatile are for more people to own bitcoins to create a more even distribution of all the bitcoins.  Wink
