2341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum on: July 22, 2016, 05:52:59 PM
Ethereum is dead regardless the price. For anyone that appreciates what crypto is all about (decentralization) knows taht the core of this thing called Ethereum is rotten forever with the hard fork precedent. So people get mad that a guy legally gets money out of a shitty smart contract and decide to rollback. So pathetic. Anyone supporting ETH beyond profiting its pump and dumps to get more BTC out of it is simply stupid or has an agenda.
2342  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase now supports Etherium; Is this a threat to Bitcoin dominance on: July 22, 2016, 05:48:14 PM
ETH is already dead, they are just beating a dead horse because all those big names pumping it are simply bagholding. Bitcoin will take over with Counterparty and Rootstock type of solutions when it comes to smart contracts. Who wants to use a system where hard forks can happen at any time if the community decides that they want to reverse transactions because they don't like a certain outcome (like a thieft stealing coins).  And the fun part is, there was no actual thieft, just a clever guy taking advantage of a poorly written smart contract. It's fucking ridiculous.
2343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo on: July 22, 2016, 05:33:27 PM
I have been testing it out and it's still very stages but you can tell the game has huge potential if they add more stuff, like more complex battle system with turns instead of just tapping on the screen which is pretty dumb and so on.

But the great thing would be to get BTC instead of those coins. Also being able to buy stuff with BTC (you can already do with fiat but not BTC).

I hope that we can see BTC in games like this. Imagine the extra incentive of getting BTC and not only Pokemons.
Yeah this is a good idea but if there is no someone out there can tell this idea in owner of the pokemon go or devs of pokemon go.. this is just a dream..
But i think they know about bitcoin. but they are affraid to use it because they need to learn first the rpc command for debian server for there receiving bitcoins and sending payment gateway.
And think they will added bitcoin for payment purposes only to buy coins and pokemballs.

I would assume that if this gets done they would use a payment processor like Bitpay to manage the massive amount of transactions in a faster way just like Steam uses Bitpay too.
2344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016 U.S. Presidential Election Prediction Thread on: July 20, 2016, 02:01:53 PM
Hillary Clinton has committed a crime with all that email's shit from the FBI, yet people seem to be braindead about it and aren't reacting. Im not saying Trump is great candidate, but if I had to choose I would choose Trump. Trump is his own boss and Hillary Clinton is a Wall Street puppet.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: management of risk and money on gambling on: July 20, 2016, 01:48:19 PM
A good way is to limit your monthly expenses, now that we have checklocktimeverify stuff we can lock wallets and make it impossible to subtract money from it, so you can limited your monthly gambling money to never spend too much on it.
2346  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2.5 Years in Bitcoin and still holding. on: July 20, 2016, 01:40:42 PM
I will hold for 10+ years because I don't have deep regrets of selling too early. Ideally, we will reach a point where we don't even need to sell because Bitcoin is simply too valuable and the government currency is not as trusted as Bitcoin.
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: Best time to hold other currencies aside from bitcoin on: July 20, 2016, 01:04:03 PM
Aside from bitcoin being the center of attention we must also include other cryptocurrency that the virtual economy has to offer.
Bitcoin before from less a dollar has shown a tremendous increase in price that goes up to 700$.

That potential is also potent to other currency. So it is best if we will not only focus on bitcoin but rather the whole cryptocurrency economy.

BTC is the only one holding long term, but playing with alts can give you great results if you know when to buy and sell... it's all about timing.

Right now, MAID seems like a good buy. ETH can always pump... there's a lot of people involved even tho I don't like the coin.
XMR, I think will eventually pump too.
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin would currently be the worlds 5th most expensive stock on: July 20, 2016, 12:56:33 PM
According to https://financesonline.com/top-10-most-expensive-stocks-in-the-world-from-chipotle-to-berkshire-hathaway/ and many others if bitcoin was a stock it would come under the 5th most expensive at current prices.

Surely its just a matter of time before investors see the potential in bitcoin and we could end up at no1 on that list. What are your thoughts, and could bitcopin ever be shared on the stock exchange to compete with these top trading stocks?

Bitcoin is destined to become a super stock, sort of like Berkshire Hathaway tier A stock. Just for the record, here is how the all time graph of BRK.A looks like:

This is how the all time graph in Bitcoinwisdom.com will look like in about 10 years. Too bad most people can't see it, but we are going to 100k+ per BTC.
2349  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Patents on: July 20, 2016, 12:39:02 PM
Something is clear, Blockstream is people you can trust, these guys have demonstrated time after time that they support privacy and censorship resistant software and a decentralized network, but Coinbase has been ruining people's day for a long time now.
2350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain has bought Blocktrail on: July 20, 2016, 12:17:31 PM
I would like to use blocktrail but I have become way too used to blockchain.info's nice layout... I would like that they fix the onion url those because I always get those annoying "out of quota" or something errors.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: management of risk and money on gambling on: July 18, 2016, 04:18:45 PM
I always make an excel list (well I actually use Open Calc) and I maintain an updated list of the total amount of gambling I do and I just go and say "well, this was too much money lost for this month". When I get past this safe threshold I stop gambling for the entire month, this allows me to never be on the red.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your average bet per game? on: July 18, 2016, 03:24:19 PM
I have been trying to gamble less regularly lately, but do it for a higher amount. So instead of doing daily bet of 0.0001 or something small like that, I do 0.1 per month or so, so the average has raised a lot, I prefer it this way because it's more exciting.
2353  Economy / Speculation / Re: We will break $800 they said... on: July 18, 2016, 03:21:21 PM
We will have a new ATH they said...

It will plummet again because we haven't fixed the fundamentals I said...

*stares at the charts*

Fundamentals are solved and price is going up again. Nice thread to bump when we go over 800 dollars to remind everyone how much of a failure kwukduck is at predicting price. What an annoying FUDster.
2354  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: July 18, 2016, 03:15:36 PM
Things don't happen over night. Hard work and dedication over a long period of time was needed for Bitcoin to become the king of crypto. The developers have done a great job and we are going to reach 8 years of existance of a very solid system. No other coin can say this, which is why no other coin will take the #1 spot.
2355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Views on Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) on: July 18, 2016, 03:10:22 PM
This is against Bitcoin principle of bitcoin being digital cash. When you transact cash with someone you don't know who the person is. We don't need this and certainly not at a protocol level, this will only destroy bitcoin's privacy. BIP75 is trash and will never happen.
2356  Other / Off-topic / Re: If i give you 10 BTC what will you do? on: July 18, 2016, 03:03:16 PM
maybe buying altcoin, trade it, or buying some vga for building home mining rig.
for me mining is very fun, im mining some altcoin and hold it, hope someday my altcoin get pumped.
That is a good choice.I would also like to invest this amount in mining bitcoins.Alt mining, although cheaper than bitcoin,is more riskier.Since electricity is less expensive in my area I would like to give bitcoin mining a shot
if you will give me 10 bitocin now i have changed my decision. i will like to buy a new car for my self. because my old one id creating so much problems for me. therefore i am going to buy a new one.

I would buy a new car if my salary depended on it, but not if it was for leisure only. I can pick up a train and be anywhere I like, this is why not I don't own a car, I don't want extra expenses. Of course when BTC is 100k per coin, I will buy a nice car.
2357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People Losing Passwords & Wallets... on: July 18, 2016, 02:59:48 PM
The only way is to make a tutorial implemented in the actual wallets, before you use the wallet, it would explain you how to do it an secure your stuff. You have for example Electrum doing a good job with this, it tells you to save the seed and stuff.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: July 16, 2016, 06:16:07 PM
There's no way to do it in a smart way, it's pure luck. The only control you have is over the amount of times you play, everything else is out of your reach control, so the best thing you can do is to simply not play too much.
2359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The higher roller . on: July 16, 2016, 05:54:49 PM
Physical casinos have more high rollers then online casinos, that is like 100 % true in my opinion. Can you just imagine some big complex hotel, casino.. they have private rooms for serious players. I just heard what casinos do for this kind of players, free rooms, beautiful girls around, something that online casino can never give to players.
Rich people, but really rich people will always choose physical casino instead of online. And I don't think situation will change, even I wish to go to real casino and play there. But I don't have enough money for that, cause of that btc gambling is something best for me.

Yes, high rollers are treated like royalties and celebrities in the real life physical casinos, they always are going on there and getting vip deluxe rooms and stuff and get free passes, they bring publicity to the casinos.
2360  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: July 16, 2016, 05:47:20 PM
Gold has massive network effect, that's all. Other than that, Bitcoin is better in every sense. Gold is annoying to carry, it deteriorates with time, it can be confiscated by governments... it's a mess.
