All nice and good but meanwhile I am staring at a blank screen on my Android phone because it cannot connect to the network.

Bitcoin on the other hand: no problemo. Even while BeeCash or other villains at spamming the mempool. This is not meant to talk IOTA down but it sure isn’t free of alpha problems.

Comparing the average responsies with those typically given in 2013, we have come a long way. Much more educated. Much more balanc d. Much more ‘seeing the future’ instead of the past.

I will ride this pig wherever she goes  Grin

The total lack of CCMF in this thread is an indication that this is by no means done yet.

Plenty of room to do a replay of the '2013 bubble'  Cool Grin

Eventually people will learn enough about IOTA to see the difference between IOTA and Blockchain. I look forward to the upgrade of the network promising better TPS: https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/7ga92e/iotas_about_to_get_a_lot_faster/

This is really moving into the right direction.

For those that want to easily mine a few IOTA to play with, go to https://mineiota.com/
Put in your IOTA address and start mining in your browser.

12hrs of mining at 60% should get you about 4,000 IOTA on a fairly recent i5. It's not worth much but gives you a few thousands of IOTA to play with and show to your friends. You will become intrigued by the 'no fees' concept, trust me.
2345  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin has gone parabolic,' and that usually doesn't end well, Art Cashin warn on: November 29, 2017, 07:03:49 AM
We have not seen the start of parabolic yet. Art can resume his 'parabolic' talk if we hit $25k this December.

Time to bring out the classics:

2347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Will Reach $40,000 in 2018? on: November 29, 2017, 07:00:48 AM
$40k should be doable in 2018 but only if we continue on the current growth path resulting in a major blow off top. Perhaps not the nicest thing to happen (there will be a 1-2 year bear market after that) but that's the way these things go.

Just hold on to your hats.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 29, 2017, 06:32:31 AM
I mentioned that I struggled a bit on KYC level 2. Apparently, if KYC is rejected, the button 'upgrade KYC' becomes available again in the app. No further message or warning. Via a Google search I learned that the reason for rejection of level 2 KYC can be found under Account Settings. Apparently, my 'proof of address' was rejected.

I sent a copy of my tax application for vehicle tax: cannot become more official than that but apparently that is not good enough for TenX  Cool Trouble is that all utility services are registered on the name of my partner. So how to proceed?  Huh Roll Eyes

After all this time, we can rightfully post this one. A tribute to our former thread 'manager':

We look forward to moving into €25-40k territory soon, upon which it will get a little bit frothy.

I also recycled weekly payments back into the ICO.

Bitcoin (almost) at $10,000.
DeepOnion price above $1 and stable

Next thing is learning that the 2nd Airdrop of the original Dark Ethereum will commence  Grin

Most people have no idea how the stock market really works or how stocks are really valued. It's pretty frightening really. Read my post on it here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2098580.msg21161390#msg21161390

Another way of looking at the stock market is as a wealth transfer scheme. After all, for each buyer there is a seller. The net result is 0, it’s a zero sum game, but some will win along the way and some will lose. You just have to be aware of the cycle.
2353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 28, 2017, 06:55:43 PM
With an average growth rate of 0.42% daily, it will take us 550 days to go to $100,000.

Just wait for it.

Not that I am aware of. Let’s say that this project could become a bargain the next few weeks, if the Devs deliver a working prototype at some point next year  Cheesy
2355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 27, 2017, 10:12:45 PM
I think that reaching $50 is already quite a task. Compared to Bitcoin, we are at about $90 already.
2356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2017, 10:06:28 PM
Traffic with only one person per car. Making stuff that everyone buys but no one needs. Keeping a military afloat in peace time. Powering Al Gore’s little apartment.

The list goes on and on.

But we have another great contender for virtue signalling.

The day will come that DeepOnion follows in the footsteps of Monero. But not today or tomorrow. These things take time.

Any news about the #3 airdrop or it be a NEVER EVER joke?

No there is no news from the dev about the 3rd Airdrop for quite some time now so I guess that 3rd AD is not going to happen.

He will probably go directly to airdrop #4. He always keeps his promises...  Grin

Yes, the 2nd Airdrop promised in September is about to start  Cheesy
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: November 27, 2017, 06:29:40 PM
I think I have a KYC issue. I activated the card and submitted ID docs through the Android app. But after a day, the button KYC goes from pending to the original state again with the app inviting me to upgrade KYC again to level 2  Huh I can repeat it forever but that does not bring me any further...
2360  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-27] Did Elon Musk Create Bitcoin? A Former SpaceX Employee Thinks So on: November 27, 2017, 12:21:24 PM
Musk would surely attract quite a few people if he would speak positively about cryptocurrencies. But perhaps it is better that cryptocurrencies grow on their own instead of as derivatives of the Tesla stock price  Grin
