2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: September 02, 2021, 03:27:11 PM
This is kind of good move because they limit the users to make an exceed gambling habit to their daily limit but i guess its better if they made changes such as the age bracket and the annual income limit like if you are such as a millionaire and you want to gamble like that you need to become not part of the card bans, or else they make a VIP system for the top tier gambler they have so still they can enjoy the game. But i guess if we are talking about credit cards there's a chance they will borrow unless they are just using their debit cards.
I don't think this could have a huge impact on the gambling industry and the gambler but this will not solve and stop gambling addiction as we can still make use of fiat. This serves alarming for the credit user but this will not worry those who haven't used it. What see is that they will just encourage people not to use credit which I think is a good idea but not in a way to help keep them away from gambling.
Sooner or later, they will unban this thing as they realize that it never gives help. It is not necessary, IMO.
2342  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: September 02, 2021, 02:31:09 PM
I think that usually traders get along with this idea in the case when they just get a negative result. In this case, I think many people want to leave this industry.
We can't hide the fact that trading wasn't be profiting always and not all have been doing this feels easy. I admit that I'm one of those traders who think bad when suffering losses and I did not once but multiple times, ON and OFF to trading is really what happens to me. I did this just to gave some peace of mind. I think is a weird thing but this was the best option for me and might other people are doing the same.

Quitting is not actually bad, we can't call it cowardly as these people don't really understand the situation but it was us who knows where we are and I don't think it was a great idea to sacrifice ourselves knowing that we are not good already.
2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: September 02, 2021, 01:48:11 PM
Really necessary? They would really be asking it out and if you don't like then simply skip and find another place.

That was the basic response if you are new to the site.

But what if your favorite site implements that? Can you still apply that find another place argument? It's not easy to just try a non-reputable site just to avoid KYC that's why at least these reputable sites will not implement KYC.

I don't see any sense of underdoing a KYC where you are only a casual gambler. No way I will submit my personal ID and documents for a $100-$200 budget activity for gambling every 2 weeks or a month.
For me, KYC in gambling is something that makes me very uncomfortable. Therefore, when my favorite gambling site implements KYC, I personally will give it up and look for other sites that still have a reputation but don't need KYC. There are still many famous gambling sites available out there that do not implement this, so for now there are still many alternatives for me personally to change sites and that might be the best way for me at this time.
That's what I thought to see gamblers will find other sites that don't mind asking about KYC on their players. As for me, KYC doesn't necessary and our privacy is much necessary than this. I don't think how this becomes an urge from them.

I know that some people are using gambling sites to protect their illegal activities become noticeable by others as they certainly found anonymous but this couldn't help to stop this. As for the countless numbers of gambling sites that existed today (known/not known) they can still make it.
2344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest more than you can afford to lose? on: September 02, 2021, 12:10:58 PM
That really it needs for us to understand that investing is risky, the market went up and low cause for some losses. Thus, if we are putting all our money through investing, it is possible that we might lose them all. It is certainly hurting, unlike the feeling where we already think that this might happen anytime and willing to accept it.

Greediness had to push some people to invest more than they can afford to lose. This is a thing we need to fight and keep in mind the level of risk in investing and must be taken seriously.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 01, 2021, 09:02:54 PM
I agree that there's no such much action on that Inoue vs Dasma fight and same goes with Casimero vs Rigo.
Dasma vs Inoue is better that the fight of Casimero vs Rigo.

Not much action for Dasma vs Inoue but the fight ended with a KO win by Inoue, Dasma felt his power that's why he was just protecting his body, unlike Casimero who can't him Rigo with clean shots because he was just running all night. And also, we can compare the record of Dasma and Rigo, Dasma is just an ordinary boxer, no name yet in boxing but Rigo is a champion, he beat Nonito but against Casimero, he chicken out.
2346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 01, 2021, 08:32:47 PM

I did not see it coming too, the weakest team beat one of the strongest teams in the league, I think it's unbelievable, maybe some will think that " THE FIX IS IN", lol. PBA is not clean, lots of rumors that it's fixed, and we are seeing it again and therefore we should not be surprised by this.

I see your point. The first half seems to attract bettors to place bets for SMB,
if you are following the live games, you see the handicap moves up to -7.5  interesting enough to make your bet Cool

Coming 3rd quarter and SMB turned the game to their favor dominating and showcase their talents.
Romeo and Mo' makes their move and creates double digit leads.

Last quarter is the time, hahaha. 8-0 run from the underdog and SMB didn't call any timeout, they just let it and create more turnovers,
in the eyes of gamblers who understand the game, oh well, calling the game fix is very possible.. but nothing can be done now but to move on.

At least the Terrafirma DYIP had their first win of the conference, LMAO. I can't believe they beat the SMB, but that's what it is, we just have to accept and move on, and since I don't see anyone here saying he won his bet on that game, I presume everyone was on the SMB in that game.
2347  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: September 01, 2021, 03:50:38 PM
To be honest, it's not an easy task earning online at all. So many people giving many suggestions to earn from online. But it's not easy like you are thinking. Since your website is under development, hope you are the one who develops it. So if you have development skills then it would help you to earn from the online marketplace in a legit way. Sell sometime time on the marketplace for a passive income. But not sure you will get works. You may look into the forum as well in the project development section where sometimes people have been finding developers. Try your luck.
Some got lucky to have a good and decent salary working online but many were also fail to find good jobs maybe it was because of some qualification that wasn't fit for them or if they are choosy. And this pandemic time, there is a huge competition to find a job online and this is the also cause why not all have been given the opportunity.

If I were looking for a job this time, I certainly don't just rely on finding online jobs, might not know if we can get a better opportunity at our local offices as I believe there are still we found around.
2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should other countries did not accept Bitcoins? on: September 01, 2021, 01:20:36 PM
every country has their own reasons for rejecting the existence of bitcoin, like my country the government is afraid of money laundering in its country's officials, and companies in my country
Due to the anonymous bitcoin system for its owners, it is difficult for the state to detect it
Even before Bitcoin's existence, money laundering are already been there. I don't think this was a good excuse for not accepting Bitcoin but probably it was a personal interest where they wanted to control the market which is impossible to happen.
The government doesn't like people to become anonymous and they will fight for it. The authorities wanted to tax people who hold and invest cryptos but that is probably a big problem with them because they can urge people to pay for that. And this made them angry and hate Bitcoin's existence.
2349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction – Will ETH Hit $5,000 Soon? on: September 01, 2021, 12:42:26 PM
Of course, 2021 will be a brilliant year for Ethereum, because at the beginning of the year there was an increase of 1000% ( $1,400) . And 8 months later, Ethereum is around $3,500 (now). Price speculation continues at this time, but my prediction is that Ethereum will reach $5,000 in early 2022.
Your predictions may be reasonable, but to reach a price of $5,000 early next year, I think there must be help through market conditions that could be very possible for Ethereum, even though at this point Ethereum continues to see an increase in the market.
Most of it happens that predictions come wrong. I know and I believe that ETH's price will reach $5,000 someday but saying next, that something difficult if there are no hypes will happen. That we just hope that everything will be found in the coming days and to see Bitcoin keeps on uptrend motion as if it goes down, this will surely have a huge impact on the altcoins and ETH has no excuse for this.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to make passive income in crypto with altcoins on: August 31, 2021, 11:28:21 PM
After performing an extensive “DYOR” on cryptocurrencies, it turns out that there are different avenues to make profit or gains within the crypto space. Based on your expertise, which avenues works the most gains for you and why?
What are those avenues you've found? I/We'd like to know that as well for I don't have much time to dig in a flooded market with useless projects. Because for me, I only look for the known altcoins in the market and make some money but never do I think this was enough to consider as a passive income. In this kind of market, that seems so hard to find it in crypto. I suggest not to rely on crypto investment alone but rather to find another source of income for more assurance.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: August 31, 2021, 09:57:24 PM
Seems like there's a big possibility that the fight will happen this year.

Now, we have more specific information coming from Casimero and he is talking about a specific date.

John Riel Casimero says he will fight Naoya Inoue in December

Quote
Three-division world champion John RIel Casimero said he will fight undefeated Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue later this year.

In a YouTube video posted on Monday, the WBO world bantamweight said he will fight Inoue in December.

"Next laban natin, magandang laban 'to. Naoya Inoue, December 11," he said.

[Our next fight is a good one. Naoya Inoue, December 11.]

I guess it should also be posted on the other thread since that's the official thread of the Inoue vs Casimero.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5220020.460

But this is good, I like the update since this is what we are waiting, no speculation on when now since Casimero had already announced the data, which one means one thing, both camp already had a talk and come up with the date, next will be the contract signing to formalize the fight.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 31, 2021, 09:37:15 PM
I'm glad you guys are talking about the betting odds already, that means we will see some games today.

We have 2 games today, both are early games.

1st game at 12:30 and 2nd game at 3:00 PM

I guess my pick would be both under as they are not familiar with the court yet and its the firs 2 games in the resumption of season, they will likely struggle a bit due to some rust.

We actually have 3 fights today. I can see 3 games listed in here https://sportsbet.io/sports/basketball/philippines/pba-philippine-cup/matches

I like the strategy on betting the under, but I think will do a parlay betting on this one, I will place an under in the first game, and if I lose I will double in the 2nd game, just like a martingale strategy but not fully. But if I am unlucky, I would not bet on the last game.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to Poker on: August 31, 2021, 02:10:07 PM
To be honest I don't really like pvp poker, because it's hard for me to control my emotions when there is a bluff at the table. Therefore, I personally don't really look for other alternatives regarding poker gambling or other pvp gambling, in contrast to a tournament that allows me to still accept it and be interesting to participate in. In addition, even though the house edge is something to consider, but for some casino gambling games I prefer to fight the house even though in the end I still lose but sometimes wins can still be obtained but yes, experience is needed here in order to control it well.
That is really acceptable that in gambling we often lose than win. If you are an emotional person, gambling is not the place for you because no matter what you do, your emotions will still control you and leads you to losses. But if you just come for the pleasure and to enjoy your day from the busy life, then it was not a problem coz if you lose, you don't cry and blame yourself.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: August 31, 2021, 01:21:23 PM

the highest was +425 for Casimero, however, I think the odds will likely reduce if they will fight soon because Casimero had won more fights after the fight between them was cancelled, but I'm pretty sure Inoue is still a heavy favorite.
Nope that doesn't equate to more chances of winning, I mean Pacquiao has a double digit wins but he's still lost to Ugas and other fights. It will likely reduce but I don't think it's because of that, Inoue is a different kind of breed of a boxer.

Maybe Casimero can close the odds, but still Inoue will be the favourite to win if they fight.

I agree that the Monster is a different breed and for me he hasn't reached his peak yet because he is still young. So just imagine in 2-3 years, but if he has cleaned this division then he should go up in weight class and challenge more champions.

2-3 years he's still climbing the peak in that time line. Give him 5-7 years and he'll have his career peaked at 35 years old. I mean this kid is such a strong, fast, agile, and very distinctive fighter. An interesting to watch fighter, just like the Pacman.
If this Casimero and Inoue fight happens, odds are relatively high against Inoue. I'm like 80% sure Casimero can't beat Inoue. I don't underestimate Casimero here, but I'm just giving out my opinion base on their fighting history and fighting style.

We can underestimate Casimero because he is not the kind of guy who is just a trash talk maker but certainly can give an explosive punch. But I believe Inoue can do better than him. A young guy who already fought Donaire and some champions, that he really could prove how he was on the lead to winnings.
Anyway, that pretty obvious that Inoue from Japan will have a huge odds and become the favourite of the game once they will face each other.
2355  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Government in Crypto on: August 30, 2021, 11:52:17 PM

El Salvador is one of the countries whose government is very supportive of crypto, even the government of El Salvador is undertaking a program
that makes the crypto adoption process faster. This means that the government's role is very large for massive adoption to occur, I believe with
the current achievements of Bitcoin, could awaken some countries to accept cryptocurrencies. I agree with you, there are still many countries
whose governments are open-minded, who will consider adopting crypto in the near future. We just have to wait patiently for this to happen.
but so far some countries whose governments are starting to accept crypto. Although it is only a digital asset and does not allow it to be used
for payments, but it's a good start.
If all the countries treated crypto the same just like how El Salvador does, it surely helps people to gain interest in crypto but too sad to think that many have been harsh and even ban crypto. This couldn't really help to promote adoption but this will only lead to some worries. Well, it has to believe that some leaders have a different vision towards crypto, most of them this was the reason for their economic failure due to having no control over it. Maybe they are right as we never pay tax with them but to think how it becomes useful to the community at this time, they should have to support this instead.
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: August 30, 2021, 11:20:09 PM
Well, I believe this judgment can be a little subjective and relative for some poker players.
I believe that some platforms these days still ask (obligation) to perform KYC, but I don't see great reasons for doing this, because as already commented by other users, I believe that gambling activities should not be taken so seriously, compared to other platforms that need the use of KYC.
They do ask it because they're also asked to do so by the government that covers them. It's part of the regulation and that's why they're asking for KYC.

But if there's an option and it's not mandatory, there's no problem with that as the players will just keep going without anything to worry. So if you find the site where you've been playing poker has been mandating KYC, you can go to another one that's reputable that don't force it.
I actually hated to sends KYC verification before due to some rumors or that possibly it is going to happen but later on, it was to realize that is the security purposes that could help to protect us when hacking incidents surprisingly comes. This is for us but yes, it is an option to take but most sites now are encouraging gamblers to take that process in order to be fully verified. If that you have trusted the site, I think it was not a big problem, we have to think that it was for our own good.
2357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto becoming less and less anonymous on: August 30, 2021, 10:52:10 PM
Doing KYC is not a big deal for me if we are using a reputable exchange coz I know that they won't do anything that could harm their users. In fact, it finds out that most exchangers these days are now asking for that especially when you have a huge amount of withdrawals. Some saying it was additional security, that's exactly it is and we are doing KYC for that sake.
It was to accept that being anonymous here is not 100% and if we are worried about the situation, then it was best to stay away from cryptospace.
2358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Monthly target in trading. on: August 29, 2021, 02:09:54 PM
I have never tried this strategy but it looks amazing. This is good stuff because tracking down your money every time is amazing idea per se. This can help us to understand our actual losses and profits over time. Happens to me, that I think I am in profits however after tally the picture could be different. We forget exchanger fees, transfer fees, maker fees and entry point and exit point of our trade. This could be alarming sometimes if we are trading large volumes. I have not used such pen down strategy and not even the data entry with excel even though we could do it easily. Will surely start noting down what I have invested and how much I wanna make.  Smiley
This actually helps us to track down all our trading expenses and also our gains.
Having a monthly target will surely give you some pressure but consider this as a thing that could push us to work harder and harder. I know that there are times we are not able to reach our target, definitely, it was a normal case since the market isn't good all the time nor you are into good also. But I hope to have this plan is not just only written on the paper, it should be done seriously otherwise, it makes no sense at all.
2359  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 26, 2021, 02:14:08 PM
...
I know why you say things like that because indeed we can see for ourselves that Bitcoin continues to increase from year to year,
Of course not all coins can experience that and when we miss the opportunity to make a profit maybe we will regret it

It is the exact same reason why I am holding. If I would be selling my coins today then I am afraid to miss out on the nest big rally. I mean bitcoins had such a great run since 2020, why should we reward the success of bitcoins with selling them? I am hoping for more people to start using bitcoins. My dream would be to go to store and see most people paying with bitcoins. That is why I will keep holding my coins.

It was really starting now because there are just a few shops that accept bitcoin as a form of payment, but I mostly saw this in other countries. Here in our countries, I heard some news that there are some stores accepting it, but that was about a year ago, and I'm not sure if they're still open now. This could be bitcoin's future. Having a bitcoin is great; you will make a lot of money if this is successful in the coming years.
Some had accepted already but some also had stopped due to some losses. The volatility of the market is really hard to deal with and possible big losses to the establishments when the price went down. Like from $50k to$30k, I could be crazy how to manage myself losing almost a half from accepting Bitcoin. Maybe if I have huge backup capital to top up my losses, I would still continue but if there is none, that is a big problem to face.
2360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This bull makes all alts will make new all time highs on: August 26, 2021, 01:51:12 PM
Please keep your alts , dont sell now.. otherwise you will suffer.
I am ready to wait for the coming of the altcoin season and I still hold my coins to sell at a high price. I think the next altcoin season can happen this year and maybe before the end of this year. If one coin has already hit the highest price, the next coin will take a position to hit the next highest price and the coin before will need to wait for the next time but sometimes, that coin can increase higher more than the previous high price. But still, the market is unpredictable and we do not know which coin can increase and reach new ATH.
I just look into Bitcoin's trend, definitely, it is currently growing. If this momentum won't stop, it probably has a huge impact on the altcoins, I expecting altseason again. But we can't set aside some instances of possible huge correction on the altcoins as we know that they are mostly relying on Bitcoin. We just hope that there are no more FUDs or any bad news that could affect the trend otherwise, we never see its peak again this year.
