2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 09, 2022, 06:39:03 AM

I think he's training with his coach named Nonoy Neri at Mandaue City, correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know what's the real reason behind why he just trained recently but I believe it's connected to his medical situation that's why he rested for a bit. Casimeros have no more than 8 weeks left to do all his trainings and diet before the schedule weigh-in and fight, I hope everything will go just fine.

Let's have faith in him, he never fails us down, and I'm sure he will deliver a sweet victory in this fight. It doesn't matter where he trains as long as he is ready for his upcoming fight, let him prove to the people who doubted him that he is still a champion and he deserved a unification fight.

Right! I know that he won't fail us and certainly I know he got this fight as well as he knows that this is his only ticket to get more fame and chance to fight bigger names in the industry like Inoue and the likes. About the place? Of course it matters where he trains because it would really help him in terms of game plan how to take down Butler without getting badly injured.

This article was released 2 days ago and it seems that Casimero started his trainings already in Mandaue City. IMO, he should train in other place or country to help him focus more without being interfered by the fans and hopefully his medical condition has been dealt already so that he can continue his scheduled trainings without setbacks along the way as he can't afford to stop because the fight date is approaching fast.
He really has to start kicking himself for his training because it's just a few months away from his title defense.

I think whether he's in his best condition to train, whether, in that place or another country, that won't matter. What's important is that he's already on his training and preparation for the upcoming fight.

His health condition might change once he landed to another country, so it's better for him to stay there for a while, maybe for a few weeks to a month.

So he is training alone or with someone else? Hmm, it weird but we will have just a couple of weeks before the actual fight and he has just started his training. And then he needs to be in the weight limit as well so Casimero hands is full right now. Hopefully he can straighten things up before his actual fight and hopefully he will be as sharp as his last fight.

I think he's training with his coach named Nonoy Neri at Mandaue City, correct me if I'm wrong.

2343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 07, 2022, 04:31:31 PM
For now, I would not touch any game of the Nets, they are struggling but at the same time I also don't want to bet against them.

Good decision,  just watch them struggle, besides, we can still gamble since we have a lot of games on a daily basis.

Early leans, I have the following bets.

Warriors -12
Jazz -7.5
Heat -5.5

I like the bulls but I'm doubtful against the Phoenix Suns

I like the Warriors chances against the OKC with -12.5. Although it seems to be a big spread, but the Warriors is hot right now.

As for the Bulls, they've lost against the Sixers and they are on a back to back games. And they are going to face the Suns who is on top of the WC.

Wow, GSW is looking superdog right now with -12.5 ML. Yeah, I will tail you on that bet @btc_angela and like you, I'm also pretty confident that the hot Warriors could beat the OKC on their home without any struggle and will fully cover the spread. GL mate!

Also, I'll watch the game of Bulls vs Suns tomorrow but I'd rather sit it for now. For sure this game will be interesting to watch.
2344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 07, 2022, 03:09:00 PM
Westbrick had a really rough night, he was also intimidated and distracted by his own homecourt fans because of his poor field goal percentage and lousy turn overs.
It really seems like Westbrook's days in LA is going to end and he'll be traded anytime soon. And Malik Monk is gradually becoming the key for their success. The Lakers just need to trust Monk more in the offensive end, and of course they need to maintain a good defense.

Yeah, this performance by Russ was one of the most disgusting of this season. Nevertheless, it's unlikely that the Lakers' management will decide to trade him before the deadline. By the way, it's worth paying tribute to Vogel as he decided to put Westbrick on the bench in overtime. It seems to me that it was a key decision in this match.

Indeed, this is WB's worst season in his 14 year career and honestly I don't know what's his problem anymore because he ain't that consistent anymore unlike his recent years. Yes mate, WB will remain until the end of the season while the Lakers are also trying to figure out about him. He deserved to be benched in that certain game as he's playing very poorly with only 5 points in his 29 minutes play, I would like to see Howard more than him.

2346  Economy / Speculation / Re: What make people panic sell? on: February 05, 2022, 06:04:33 PM
yes, most of the people who panic sell their bitcoins are people who buy bitcoin because of the btc trend, they don't have confidence, ability to think far ahead. At times like this immediately panicked to sell it because of negative issues from several media. Even though from year to year there must be negative issues about btc but btc is still strong in maintaining its value.
This is a blessing for investors who already have good experience, they will definitely bring or buy as much btc as possible. and this is what the big investors in the world want.

Exactly! Also, most of the people who panic sell especially in times like these is because they don't really understand the fundamentals of bitcoins or how does bitcoin work and specifically doesn't had the right mindset because of the fact that they have just bought bitcoins out of trend or hype in hopes that they could earn well without hardships. Nonetheless, I'm not saying that I for one do understand fully the fundamentals but alteast I kept trying to learn and study it well to avoid such behavior that could lead loss of assets or funds.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 05, 2022, 05:30:09 PM
I will also bet on Phoenix Suns, they will have to get back and bounce back after a ugly lost against the Hawks. They are well rested, and the best road team, -7.5 at 1.89 as well.

Going to tail you on the Suns -7.5 on the road mate, the Wizards are much fresher and have rested well but I'm confident enough that they can cover the spread and bounce back well after the Hawks managed to pull them and lost the game.

The Lakers will also play tomorrow on their home against the NY Knicks, seems like they're the underdog this time but I'd rather let this game slide as they're really struggling now especially without LBJ.
2348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 05, 2022, 04:50:48 PM

Not a big deal but since Manila was now in Alert Level 2 and the number of confirmed cases seems to be controlled to the point that we are now seeing the term "endemic", the PBA's current setup might be back again with a live audience from February 16th, still on their home venue for since then, the Araneta Coliseum.

No triple-headers during the 1st week but the same setup as before, games are on daily basis from Wednesday to Sunday. If there will be no delays, the Governor's Cup will end in the last quarter this month to March 1st week.

Yes you are right that mate and I do hope that in the end of the month or year  is still the cases will under control so that the Philippine Basketball Association will continue until the end of the conference and start a new one. Cause it is very nice to see many games in PBA and gamble by betting our favorite team.

I'm glad that we're already under Alert Level 2 and at last we can now see some local games and yes bet on our preferred team. Let's just hope for the best so that the PBA games will be able to resume at the scheduled date and ofcourse that there will no setbacks this time or any cancelled games at all until they finish this season.

...the PBA's current setup might be back again with a live audience from February 16th, still on their home venue for since then, the Araneta Coliseum.

I have read somewhere that if the cases will decrease significantly, they will allow the public to watch their live games 2 weeks after the 1st scheduled games. But correct me if they changed that announcement already.

No, Mike Tyson Is Not Fighting Jake Paul, Representative Says
Legendary boxer Mike Tyson won’t be stepping into the ring with social media star Jake Paul, a representative for the former champion told Forbes, shooting down a rumor sparked by tabloid reports claiming the two were planning a showdown in Las Vegas later this year.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/marisadellatto/2022/01/17/no-mike-tyson-is-not-fighting-jake-paul-representative-says/?sh=3591b412cf73

I think this is the latest update of the fight, until there's no positive news, let's call the fight "cancelled", or " not happening"

Yes mate, I also read that article. Not just Mike's representative but Mike Tyson himself clarified that the rumor were not true, he also said that he won't be stepping on the ring for good and that he's done with boxing. So, Mike closed its door already once and for all about either of the Paul brothers.

I think the correct term is "not happening" because the fight wasn't scheduled at all nor had any talks about it so it's not "cancelled".

2350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 05, 2022, 04:00:50 PM
Any fresh update about the fight? Since we are now entering the 2nd month of 1st Quarter, at least we should now see any update on this fight.

Based on my own research, Japan is still restricting boxing event. I like to see Murata fighting GGG at his homecourt. Hope the situation will get better as GGG is now aging and needs to fight now. His time is running out for more possible good fight in the future.

Japan Government Eyes Relaxing Border Controls
Japan will unveil relaxed border control measures as soon as next week, broadcaster TBS reported, an indication it’s ready to roll back some of the strictest restrictions in the developed world after they failed to contain the spread of the omicron variant.
Source: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-02-04/japan-government-eyes-relaxing-border-controls-tbs-reports

This article was published yesterday, seems they will allow foreign entities this month as Japan will start to ease their restrictions next week. This could be the news we are waiting guys, hopefully there will be some updates this month about the fight too because GGG can't wait that long enough if indeed the rumors were true that the fight could go as long as 2nd quarter this year.

Wow, finally! Thanks for sharing that information mate. Well at least now we are getting some positive updates on Japan's border restriction, I also read somewhere that Japan will also start accepting tourists and other leisure activities by March (no specific date yet).

Yes hopefully they will release some updates about the fight too because this is one of the most awaited fight but sadly it was postponed due to the omnicron variant. I could really feel that GGG is already burning and cannot wait to fight Murata soon, anyways I'm optimistic that we will receive some new updates about the schedule.

This is really a good news, yes, with vaccine proving it's case against the Omicron variant, and countries globally pushing for a booster, just a matter of time before the cases drop and countries opening again.

So for sure this will push through this year, and we as boxing fans will definitely enjoy watching this fight as both are champions and GGG already on the tail end of his career but still can fight.

Omnicron wasn't as bad as the delta variant though, but for safety precautions, Japan closed its borders for safety precautions as omnicron variant that time wasn't known at all or its effects if transmitted. But I'm glad about this news and that Japan is easing their restrictions again, you're right mate, just a matter of time before we can see this fight. I just hope that this would not take any longer as the boxers and fans are already looking for forward to happen it as soon as possible.
2351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 05, 2022, 03:34:24 PM
As I've  said, ring rust might be a big factor here that Keith Thurman won't be able to KO a taller Barrios.

I agree with you. Even Thurman is a former world champion, inactivity in the ring for several years is really a problem. Even Thurman is expected to do again the performance he used on working before, he might have a tough time to get back in shape.

But even with a rusty performance, Thurman to win by Knock Out between Rounds 8-9 seems a good bet.

Almost 3 years without a professional fight after his loss, after his inactivity, it's been already expected that he will atleast experience ring rust but I know that he and his team are training him hard around the clock to somehow minimize that effect.

Considering that factor alone, he's expected to fight slowly to moderate within the first few rounds in the ring. A win via decision is a safer bet.

Great analysis but I would still go with the KO, that's going to be a 12 rounds of fight, maybe he can start slow and finish it with a KO just like the last fight of Barrios over Davis. None of us can really ascertain what's going to happen but I'm happy that we choose the same fighter to win.

Me too! There's a high chance that Thurman will go for a KO somewhere on the 7th to 12th round considering that Thurman's knockout rate is somewhere 87% and because somehow I'm quite positive that he will start slow while observing Barrios and have to overcome that ring rust thing first. Nevertheless, we should expect that this will be an intense fight and that Keith Thurman will successfully redeem his name.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 05, 2022, 02:59:28 PM
Nets' terrible form is still existing. They played an away game against Jazz last night and they lost it as I expected. They didn't have KD and Harden which was an important point for them. Irving played but he got only 15 points. The 20-year-old guard Cameron Thomas shined in this game with 30 points but they still lost by a big gap like 125-102. This was their seventh straight loss and I wonder until when they will go on like this. There are three teams right behind them which can leave them behind soon as long as things go on like now. Nets might even be under the threat of not qualifying for the playoffs.

Don't worry. Once playoffs started, their respective standing will reset. Once the playoffs started, any teams that will be on the Nets bracket will surely be handled by them. Not of course in the event that they are missing their key players.

Just unfortunate that in a series match, Irving will just play on Away games. He will really stand on his idea not to be vaccinated. If ever his team will reach a deciding Game 7 on their home, he will just watch it lol.

That said, it will also mean that they will play extra games if they will be in the 7th spot because the Raptors now is just 1 game away before they will took over the spot of Nets. The Nets was used to be one of the favorites to be in the finals but look at them now. As for Kyrie Irving, the Nets management should figure this out already because Kyrie has signed a contract for them and they are running on the disadvantage now.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: February 05, 2022, 02:23:58 PM
Yes, it's all been set and that's final since there's no other news about the rescheduling. I've just said about the fans thing in the new venue because there were some comments that tells how the fans are there.
But needless to say, it's all set and we just have to wait until that day comes and let's just all hope for the best not only for the match but also for the live crowd to enjoy it.
It is scheduled in April, so there you go, we have a date already. As for the crowd, I guess it's just normal for any boxers to be booed or fight in a environment wherein the fans are against them. Nevertheless, Casimero have seen worst, Lol. And not just him but there are a lot of Filipino boxers as well who love to fight their opponents on their own turf. I'm sure everyone is exciting already for this fight and to see Casimero again in the ring.
Exactly, there goes the set for the fight. As what I've read about the crowd, it's not just about being booed or cheering down the away fighter.
Yeah, I've forgotten that Casimero has been into this whole thing for his life and it won't matter to him anymore if there goes the fans that would subject him after the fight.
Right, regardless of the venue, Casimero has one thing in mind, to keep his title so that he will keep his hopes of good paycheck against the monster in the future. So still needs to train and focus first against Butler, and not to take into account the crowd itself. And knowing Filipinos, maybe there could be a minority crowd in UK to watch him fight, although it will be a big risk for them because they will be out numbered by the UK crowd and there could also be some heated arguments outside after the fight specially if John Riel win in a spectacular knock out.

We all know that Casimero is so determined to fight Butler and defeat him even if it's the backyard of his opponent, I don't think he's worried about that and I know his team were already looking at that point where situations are heated or escalated if incase the crowd and fas doesn't go with the result well. Aside from that, he knows what to do and defeating Butler is his ticket to fight Inoue soon.
2354  Economy / Economics / Re: India's 30% tax on income from digital asset on: February 04, 2022, 10:32:52 PM
That's like a robbery, and considering it's taken from the income of sale, it only says to discourage the use of digital assets like bitcoin. Well, maybe it will also result to an understatement of sales, but if the government is very strict in implementing then people who would prefer a digital asset has no choice but to comply with the law.
2355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 04, 2022, 10:12:58 PM
That's the reality, it's all bout the money because no team owner would spend for the team if he will not get something in return, PBA is entertainment but it's a business, they entertain us and at the same time they get something from us. If the brand the teams are representing is not getting the benefit, then most likely the teams will not exist in the PBA anymore.

Every teams should follow the PBA cap salary. The "bonus" is internal transaction and there's a pre-requisite for it and the price is big. We can't just say PBA is entertainment on that case. And the withdrawal of team in the PBA is because they can't sustain anymore the operation, maybe in the core side, not on the expenses of the players salary or what.
There are only a few PBA teams that withdraw in the league since it's controlled by the rich people in our country, the SMB corps, and Pangilinan has more than one team in the PBA, so they'll continue no matter what and they can survive even in tough times. PBA will definitely run more years but I'm not sure if their system will remain successful as the new leagues are slowly getting popular.
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: February 04, 2022, 11:51:27 AM
And probably that's the definition of sports, not just to compete against each after fair and square. But it's how you gonna bounce after a lost and win again and again. Just like Manny, when he lost to Floyd, we thought that he is done already. But he come back and beat Thurman. Now it's Thurman time, to get back and fight again and reclaim his spot in this very competitive division.

This will be a test to the character of Keith Thurman. A true champion in this sport of sweet science can bounce back after a loss so i think Thurman will handle this hurdle with pride and a mindset of a true champion.

For me, he is one of the legitimate contender for this loaded welterweight division and he could defeat Spence and Crawford if given the chance to fight those champions in the future.

Yes, and this maybe the reason why Keith wanted to come back, the timing is perfect, Spence and Crawford, who is the best right now could be available to him if he will win his fight against Barrios.

And he himself said that those two are the top right now and it will be a big challenge for him to fight them. But he has a big hurdle first to overcome and if wins over Barrios then wait for the winner of Spence vs Ugas or go directly to Crawford.

As for the ring rust, it's two fold, sometimes the fighter that takes a lot of break can come back strong and rejuvenated.

Thurman still has the skills, and if continue to make himself fit through proper training and diet, then he should not experience the ring rust in this fight, besides he is still the favorite, so that's a big thing that people still believe that he can win in this fight.

And yes, this fight is a big one, it's his ticket to a fight against Crawford or Spence.

IMO, ring rust effect is inevitable especially for those boxers who rest long enough and Thurman isn't exempted as he also rested for almost 3 years already since he lost for the 1st time to the Pinoy champ Manny Pacquiao, but this effect can be minimized to avoid a fighter (Thurman) from the disadvantage with yes a proper extensive training and diet. As for his capabilities and strength, there's no doubt about it that he still have those.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: February 04, 2022, 09:36:32 AM
Very interesting turn of events for Canelo, he went to the WBC convention and challenge the CW champion and then when he win his fight, suddenly Canelo doesn't want him anymore.

In any case, I'm still looking for articles that might give weight for a GGG vs Alvarez trilogy. This is the right that we all have been wanting to see. Although Charlo is undefeated and could be a good challenge for Canelo, he still lacks the experience and even power to crack Canelo's chin.

That's what I see, Charlo lack of experience will be an advantage for Canelo, but if Charlo will take the right, then that's a good treat for us, besides, a fighter doesn't need to be undefeated in order to be called as a great fighter, Canelo is not undefeated but he is a great fighter.
Charlo is one of the best fighters in boxing, but Conelo is much better than Charlo because in every fight he always has the ambition to keep attacking but has a bad defense.
and weakness in defense will be an opportunity Conelo will take advantage of, Canelo against Charlo will be a big fight and will attract a lot of interest from fans around the world.

Well, Canelo would still remain as the favorite if the two will fight, but since the fight between  GGG vs Murata is not going to happen, then maybe that opens the door of opportunity for the GGG vs Canelo trilogy too.

All of this are just a mere speculation for now, because Canelo and Charlo are still in the talks about it and Murata vs GGG was still postponed and no announcements. Hopefully, when the doors open, it will be the GGG vs Canelo fight as it was the one of the most rooted fight these days.

I thought that his is final, because it's surprising that Canelo will fight Charlo at this point. No offense to Charlo, but the question is, can he bring fans to the arena? it will still be Canelo as the A-side of this fight.

Right, GGG vs Canelo is what we rooted for, we have been calling this for years already and hopefully Canelo's camp will open the doors for the trilogy.

Everyone also thought that Canelo would really fight Makabu this May, the schedule was fixed but somehow the fight was cancelled and said that Canelo won't climb at WC anymore, and Canelo's team wants Charlo as replacement for Makabu.
Jermall Charlo is a decent boxer with 32 bouts (22 KO) and does have a clean record, surely it's an advantage for Canelo but yeah maybe Charlo could bring some fans to the arena and make the fight big.
2358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one who loves BTC but hates the Metaverse idea and the NFTs? on: February 03, 2022, 11:06:50 PM
I am not a hater of any, these platforms and projects are proof the market is developing and growing, so why stop it and limit it to bitcoin only? I mean, bitcoin is good, it's the father of all cryptocurrencies but we should not only stop from there as the more the market will grow the more it will be easier to adopt.
2359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: February 03, 2022, 10:51:00 PM
If you can buy and hold now, it is good for you because the market is still very normal in 2022. If you buy this market, you will see that when the market conditions are good, you will get a good profit from it. That is why it is better to buy now and long.  You have to keep it for the time being and you will get profit from it
It's normal for people who understands the market trends, the situation is quite bearish already, for some they might panic and dump their holding, but for a wise investors, they will see the situation an opportunity to buy and to HODL until the bull market will eventually arrive.

When it comes to exhibition fights then it couldnt really be avoided on not to think for it to be a cooking show on which there would really be perception that the fight would really be scripted and Mike

doesnt really like that not only he's been fighting not a real boxer but also this one really aims on making out money but on the other side of things this is really making out for some entertainment

but it seems he wasnt pleased on what this fight is all about and made up some decisions for himself that he wouldnt really take off the bait.

I see that point, he maybe not interested in how things will be designed, likewise, the script is there when we talk about exhibition
maybe the influenced of charity work way back with his last fight allows him to accept it but this time he saw that everything is
about the money and he wanted some real action (just saying)

Or, there's reason behind why he didn't like to proceed with this fight.

He and his camp can only can speak about that, but for fans out there who wanted him to see back in the ring, this might be a missed opportunity.
Would really be a disappointment for those Mike Tyson fans out there if this fight wont be happening but it seems it is already been finalized basing up into those
words that he say and i dont know on when Mike do make out those charitable works then its his personal choice and everyone does really need money
but for the sake of his own principle then lets just respect on whats his choice and decisions in regards to this.
I am not disappointed at all, besides this is just an exhibition fight, we still have a lot of upcoming professional fights that are more interesting. This fight is supposed to be a bonus only, the world of boxing is already filled with great fights, so not seeing this is not a big problem at all.
