Is the pool down ?
Yes it's down right now. Will be up shortly.

Good news, the 326.17 withdrawer has agreed to return the TRC.
|
|
|
yeah terracoin does that now, it has a difficulty readjustment algorhythm in place for high hashrate machines attacking it. such as asics. so if those macines attack, instead of it going out of service for 48 hours, it now divides its difficulty exponentially every 10 minutes it hasn't found a block..
that's the cause of the wild swings
Won't that just cause a shitload of stales and orphans?

Well, the stratum pool is up and (should be) running properly now.
Unfortuantely due to an error in scoring after I made the db changes, the reward job went nuts and tried to distribute something like 40,000 TRC. There were only about 400 in the wallet, but there were three withdrawals that totaled almost the entire wallet worth of TRC. I sent emails to two of these people in the hope they will return the TRC. (The third was less than 1 TRC).

Currently I am still working on a couple problems with scoring due to the new DB format required by stratum.
I am leaving the website down overnight and will pick this up in the morning. All of your submitted shares are being recorded, but I can't say at the moment when additional payouts will happen, it will depend mostly on the honesty of the two people above.
Sorry about this.

Well will work done be re issued for me for missing payments ?
Unfortunately there is no way for me to get the difficulty for shares submitted on stratum for today. The db doesn't have the info and I was logging to stdout. Payouts will happen soon. I cant connect upto 8333 one as it is no logner working or down as you said it was closing ill come back and mine when 3333 is working correct ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) no prob, sorry for the trouble. I'll be taking the whole pool down in a couple hours to make the changes. Hopefully starting tomorrow it should be smooth sailing.

Big problems on pool currently saying i have only 91 shares for round Yet I have mined way over this. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi45.tinypic.com%2Fnzggh3.jpg&t=663&c=zxxFU5h-_1YsVg) I restarted my miners when the round reset and went on to a new one so something is wrong here please fix I'm aware of these issues and they should be fixed by tonight when I move to the new DB schema and update the share calculation for stratum. For now you can go back to the non-stratum port if you prefer but be aware that it also has issues.

How can there be an exchange when nobody can even download the blockchain?
I've been trying for like 2 weeks now...

Due to complications with TRC and LTC using stratum, I have decided to add BTE as the next supported coin. I'm hoping to get the multi-coin site up and running within the next few days (requires extensive changes to both code and DB).
I may be taking the pool down for an hour or so after midnight Pacific time tonight and tomorrow.

So are there plans to implement getblocktemplate so that we can use unmodified stratum server to connect? Or are we forced to use TheSeven's forked version of PPCoin to accomplish this?

Thanks for setting up stratum, it's much better now. Also, I can't help it...: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fanonymouse.org%2Fcgi-bin%2Fanon-www.cgi%2Fhttp%3A%2F%2Fimg802.imageshack.us%2Fimg802%2F3968%2Fblockfound.png&t=663&c=fro8vd_vLN7SxA) yep I just got the email ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Pushpool is getting turned off tonight at midnight Pacific time, please switch to Stratum. If your miner can't do stratum post here and I'll try to help you get set up with one that can.

anything that can be done about the massive amounts of stales or is that just a product of the crazy difficulty swings
Are you still getting stales? I restarted pushpool earlier to try to fix that. Not as much but it's whenever the algo drops the difficulty it seems we spike in invalids(watch the pool efficiency drop by about a % or more) because it changes so fast. So I'm pretty sure what was happening here is that when the difficulty dropped down to <~4000 people started submitting shares so fast that the system couldn't keep up. Hopefully this will be better now that stratum is installed. You might want to also consider upping the difficulty from the difficulty 1 you seem to be using now to help with the volume of share submissions. I think stratum auto-adjusts this, I am getting difficulty 3 on my miner.

I'm not able to do any MySQL transactions while this is running, everything hangs on BEGIN unless I shut the server down.. Has any progress been made on the MySQL support?

Stratum is up on 3333! I think it's still technically night here... OP delivers.

ripple is not a crypto currency - atleast not as defined by bitcoin. i'm sure it has it's target audience and some of it might overlap with that of proper cryptocurrencies but probably the majority of people who like bitcoin & altcoins for the "right" reasons dont want anything to do with ripple.
I disagree. Ripple will be helpful. Bitcoin alone doesn't solve every problem. We need to overhaul the whole financial system! 80% of the value is held by ripple founders. This is equivalent to a coin with 80% premined blocks. Explain to me how this is not a scam again?

Well like how he says it, if bitcoin falls down to $2 and litecoin stays at $1 it is yes.
But I don't see that happening actually so, no. If bitcoins crashes to $2, no way it will be between $0,50 -$1
Are there any direct LTC <-> fiat exchanges other than btc-e?

You can't just take someone else's clock numbers and use them. You need to tune your own clocks for your own card/mobo combination.

What's causing the difficulty to change so much so suddenly?
Also having problems connecting to the pool.
I have no control over difficulty. The Terracoin devs just implemented a new difficulty scheme. Restarted pushpool again when I woke this morning. I know, I just find the system a little odd. Everytime the diff changes I lose a ton of shares. I'm going to try to get stratum up and running tonight, but can't promise.
