2341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 17, 2021, 11:31:49 AM
I think knowledge only adds a little bit of edge, but most of the time, it already reflected in the odds.
I experimented some time ago when I asked my hardcore EPL fans to make predictions of 10 matches. The result was 4/10 correct, lul.

More knowledge means more edge.

Your experiment failed mate but continue learning and you'll eventually be on a winning percentage.
In a 10 matches experiment, you just need to win 6 out of 10 to be profitable, just use the proper bankroll management.
2342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 17, 2021, 11:16:29 AM
Hi guys, can we also talk about the Portland Trail Blazers? have we seen how good they are even without CJ?

As I checked the standings https://www.nba.com/standings, I'm surprised that they are already in the number 4 spot, and thanks to the brilliance of the underrated Damian Lillard, the Dame Time. Anyone here expect they'll boost their standing this way?
If Dame gets it going. He's unstoppable. McCollum's loss wasnt felt because Nassir Little slipped right into the squad and is doing a great job.  McCollum will be out for min. 2 weeks so, Little has a good chance to prove himself as starter. It was a good team effort by the Trailblazers with Kanter having a massive 21 rebounds, Corvington with 5 blocks, Trent and Simons with 19 and 15 respectively.

That was a complete stats of the game, and yes, I love the Blazers now, they are playing as a real team and win as a team. Lillard is still clutch, they beat the Mavericks prior to their last game and that was really an impressive game by them, Luka cried in that game, lol.
2343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: February 16, 2021, 10:56:27 PM
maybe they have high confidence that XRP can pump more than they target. but the reason behind it all depends on their beliefs, on the other hand we know that at that time XRP got bad news from various parties and had dropped to the rate of $ 0.2 until now pumping back to the price of $ 0.5. but if you believe in this coin, you can invest in it. and for me personally not  Roll Eyes

Some people maybe still buying XRP, but not the volume of people that we expect to buy during the bull run because XRP's volatility now is still within range, it has not grow significantly just like other coins in the market, I guess XRP will only be stuck below $1 and as long as it's volatile, there are still people who will buy for short term trade, not for long term hold.
2344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Miguel Berchelt vs Oscar Valdez WBC Super-Featherweight Title on: February 16, 2021, 10:41:22 PM
then technically it is called an upset.  Smiley

That's really it, normal in any sports because our basis is the betting odds, however, upset happens all the time and it could happen in this fight.

Can we compare this fight to the Lopez vs Loma?

Quote
William Hill sportsbooks peg Lomachenko as a -450 favorite (risk $450 to win $100) in the latest Lomachenko vs. Lopez odds, with the American getting +350 (risk $100 to win $350) as the underdog

Could be, but that time though, Loma is pound for pound and one of the most recognisable name in boxing. And I would say that Miguel Berchelt is not as popular as Loma.

But we all expecting a good fight here, probably more exciting that the Loma vs Lopez fight which is more technical. In this case, its two Mexican warrior/brawler who are going to want to knock each other out and as they say, every punch has bad intention.

I like those words, well, actually I've don't remember any games between mexicans that are boring, they are all warriors and they are good in entertaining the crowd, but there might be no crowd in this game because of covid-19, but still there are fans who will watch it live on their screen.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 15, 2021, 10:42:01 PM

Sixers @3.30 Moneyline also seems a good bet. Never seen a top team on the standing with that line of odds.

You are right, as long as Embiid is there, Sixers has a chance to win this game. I don't know, maybe Jazz are just too hype now since they are winning games easily, but sixers had 2 loses already, this should be an interesting game, I'll be putting my money on the ML.
2346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 15, 2021, 12:48:42 PM
I held a few coins on Binance, of course seeing this Bullrun market is a happy moment. I want the market to continue experiencing positive trends. But this is also burdensome for me to send ERC20 tokens, I have to wait for the gas fee to come down.
Everyone is also waiting for the gas costs to come down to send ERC20 tokens, and everyone also likes the market conditions that are still in a bull run, from last night until now I see the market is experiencing a correction, can that be very good for everyone?
Before I can use ETH and BTC to gamble, but now with the high fees, I have already stop doing it as the moment I send my money, I already lose with the huge transaction fee. I think this will continue as the market is bullish, maybe the bull market is not over yet and it will prolong unlike in the past.

For now, I used other option in gambling like DOGE and TRON, these are the cheapest in the market although their price have increased significantly as well.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 15, 2021, 12:14:24 PM
Looks like the Lakers will have another challenging match on their next game since Anthony Davis is no assurance since he suffered some aggravation of the Achilles strain earlier in their game with the Denver Nuggets. Well, he needs to be careful since they are getting some good wins to keep up their spot in the playoff tree in the western conference. remember when Lebron James was injured last 2019 season and he was too late to get them back on track. Let's just hope that his injury was not serious at all.

https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/basketball/nba/player/29801/anthony-davis

Lakers will manage to make it to the playoffs even without Davis, they have invested already this early so that is already an assurance that they will get in no matter what. Davis situation now is different compared when he was still with his old team where he was the main man, when his down, the entire team is down, unlike here that he has Lebron who can still lead this team.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano (ADA) coin hit $10 During 2021? on: February 12, 2021, 09:28:15 PM
most people only predict to be $1, it's too high it feels THERE to reach $10 but anything can happen in this cryptocurrency world

Indeed, It might hit $10 milestone if ADA continues its current bullish trend without any correction. As it's almost close to overtake its previous ATH and hopefully it might make a new ATH asap.

Once it surpass its present ATH, you know what's next, it will pump more and might easily hit $2, but then again, all of that is juts an speculation, we can never be sure what would really happen next, just saying that since it's bull run, crazy things could happen.

current ATH was 1.07 usd per https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/cardano/
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Miguel Berchelt vs Oscar Valdez WBC Super-Featherweight Title on: February 12, 2021, 02:05:36 PM
Pre-fight weight requirements (14 days):

Miguel Berchelt - 136 lbs
Oscar Valdez - 136.4 lbs

So the two fighters are within the limit now, and should be fine shredding the excess weight in the last 2 weeks leading to their fight.

https://www.boxingscene.com/14-day-weights-miguel-berchelt-136-pounds-oscar-valdez-1364--155312

Looking at Miguel Berchelt, looks like he is the more physically fit, after all he is the champion and definitely comfortable in this weight. Surprised though that Valdez is somewhat getting bigger and then he has to cut weight more weight in 14 days.

I understand that he is coming up in weight and that is good, but it seems he overdo it. Anyway, I'm no expert here, just sharing my own opinion.

I think Oscar Valdez is good to go, his abs is visible in the images, so when he cut down to 130 lbs, there will be no significant effect on his body, in my opinion. Of course, Miguel Berchelt will be the bigger guy because this is his natural weight.

But there are a lot of boxers going up in weight throughout boxing history that upset the champion so this is still 50:50 and it will definitely can go as one of the best fight for 2021.

Thinking of its chances as 50/50 makes me think of betting on the underdog.

Oscar Valdez betting odds now is 3.55 according to the site I'm using now, https://www.playbetr.com/sports.

That would be an upset if Valdez would win this fight.  Good luck to the bettors who mostly see Oscar Valdez has a good chance because he is the undefeated here. I have no words to say yet but I might also try to play around, let's see, I'm observing the betting odds and see if there's some significant movement.

By the way, don't forget this fight will be in less than 2 weeks now.
2350  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: February 12, 2021, 01:31:08 PM
For me, it's a big threat since the government can not boycott bitcoin's locale so they make something comparative of it. They can control their own advanced money which means they ready to control the cost. Nobody needs to pay profoundly charges to the government. In the event when government imagines that utilizing digital currencies is useful then why not acknowledge the bitcoins. We can not trust the public authority since they're against the bitcoins

Maybe a threat but I'll call it a little threat.

Big investors of bitcoin knows that a digital currency a government creates are more faster and cheaper compared to bitcoin transactions, but you know why they are still investing in bitcoin, because they see more importance of bitcoin than just a digital currency, it can be a good reserve as this gives good value of your money since it's limited in supply and it's not controlled by the government.

People came here not to brag how fast bitcoin is, they came here to say how fast they make profit investing in bitcoin.
2351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Benefited from AME Token? on: February 12, 2021, 12:43:00 PM
The day I had been waiting for has come and i sold my ame tokens after a long wait. I got profit from this token. I know many of the people sell their tokens an get benefit. One thing i must say that AME is good tokens behind this team is working v hard for the project and Project have some potential thats why price not dumps as we expect that After listing price go down to 0.005 but results are totally different .
Well, it seems like soon after listing it was good time to sell ame tokens and take profit because it was trading over 3 cents then and now back below 1 cent.
One thing is far sure and that is if they come up with quality services as promised then ame token will fly and it can easily hit $1 per token but we have to wait for working products for that to be a reality.

Reaching 1 usd per AME, I guess it will not happen during this bull run, AME has to gain the trust of investors to gain trading volume.

As we can see in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/amepay/markets/, the speculation that the volume will rise did not happen, hence the price was affected.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 12, 2021, 12:05:08 PM
Early picks.  Grin
I forgot my bets yesterday. Might as well do it early.

Nuggets -11.5 vs OKC
I bet they are still hungry for more wins after breaking the losing streak.
I am thinking about another wild bet.
It's either Pistons @4.40 vs Celtics or Grizzlies @3.55 vs Lakers. Hoping it could go higher later on.

I'm tailing the Nuggets pick, I don't know why the Lakers seems to have a hard time beating the OKC but I believe with Denver Nuggets they can dominate the OKC. Denver are winning after a losing streak and they won convincingly in their last game, so I believe the momentum will continue.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 12, 2021, 10:00:14 AM
Very unusual for the Celtics, suppose to be it's Tatum and Brown who are the best scorers but this their win against the Toronto Raptors these players are the most contributors.

1- Ojeleye 24 points
2- Walker 21 points
3- Pritchard 20 points.

They are so unpredictable in this game.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 12, 2021, 09:06:16 AM
Nope that's not enough just to Know your team that will Make you win or an expert because your team will not play alone instead with Opponent .
So what will make us win? we must Know our team and also " The Opponents" this means we must be an expert in the whole process from our team and every team that they will be facing each time.

knowing your team and opponent will still be not enough because you arent controlling thier play and you dont know whats going behind the stadium if what what are these players Planning about the game . lets accept that we cant escape being a loser sometimes but having adequate information is an advantage than nothing .

It's more about the winning chances, though some teams are underdog but it does not mean that they will lose all the time. Gambling by its word means risking for our choice or prediction to win, and we might lose as well. Successful gamblers does not win everyday or all the time, they win because they are smart to treat gambling as a business with a very simple formula they follow, some us, win more than you lose equals profit.
2355  Economy / Services / Re: Those who run a live casino or are considering investing in this business on: February 12, 2021, 08:36:50 AM
Good luck, the words " please don't waste my time" is a turn off for your potential investors, and you don't even show your portfolio, which means we can't trust you with our money.
2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 11, 2021, 11:14:14 PM
I honestly have somewhat the same feeling plus a hint of excitement together with a hint of regret/disappointment. I am quite excited because it really is exciting to anticipate where this spike is heading amd a hint of regret because I wasn't able to accumulate bitcoin since I have been inactive in this industry for a few years and had only my untouched alts to watch as they are rising. But all in all, I still wish for the prices to rise since it makes mass adoption more faster.

I waited for a bull run in the hope that my altcoins will also pump, but it didn't happen until now, so maybe I should just accumulate bitcoin next time but I will wait for the right timing, I don't know if it will still dump below $20k but I have a feeling it will.

Right now, I'm on the opposite side of the many, I'm patiently waiting for the price to dump.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 11, 2021, 10:47:46 PM
Betting is different from just watching the game and choosing the winner,  we are talking of betting odds here and a team needs to win or cover in order for us to win, I guess, non sports bettor would not understand that and they thought betting on which team will win is the way to play the game and it has the same odds.

No, it would not increase our winning chances if we only rely on those things, there's a lot of information we need to know and analyze in order to win, we will not win all the time but this would help us throughout our long journey as a bettor.
2358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 11, 2021, 10:24:40 PM
... and 76ers which might take that from them. What can you say about this? Danny Green might three-peat.

Philadelphia 76ers always come up short during playoffs run no matter how impressive their season standing is and their key starters are doing well all-around within a season. Even with their current record and Embiid producing big numbers, I'm still in doubt that they can breach the ECF. Who knows though.

They really fell short in the playoffs. The last season they got straight Ls against Boston Celtics. The last time they reached the finals is in 2001 against the LA Lakers too as far as I know, but at that time they lost. After that, they are falling short and just reaching opening matches and semis. Right now, they have a good line-up, it is not just Embiid, then there's Green and Howard.

Embiid and Simons, these two are the best in the team, they can transform this team to a more defensive team, so they should make it this season. Lakers or Clippers are good but Sixers will always have a shot. This season is actually their best season as they are in the number 1,  haven't seen them in played like this good, kudos to coach Doc Rivers.
2359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Ben Askren on April 17 on: February 10, 2021, 10:22:04 PM
Wait what?! The Ben Askren that was on the receiving end of the fastest KO in the UFC history? An MMA fighter who specializes in wrestling is competing in a fist fight Grin Is this fight for charity? If yes, I'll support it. If not, I hope nobody buys tickets/PPVs.

Unfortunately these people wants to capitalize their YouTube and sports popularity and make money from it. So i'd rather not buy into this exhibition fights started by them. Not only it will boost their popularity but also gain profits. I'd rather see great fighters such as May-Pac 2 than this clown show that maybe scripted.

thats the trend these days. because they cant generate gate income, what these promoters are hoping for is to get viewers from the respective followers of these fighters and hoping that they will buy PPVs, . at least earn a living while still in pandemic. maybe this trend will change once we get back to normal and people can watch again in the arena. til then, these promoters will find a way how to attract boxing fans to sell the fight.

Crorrect. Promoters will dwell to whatever forms of venue to accumulate money. They'll seen that fans due to boresome from this current pandemic might be interested with such types of fights.

Better not to buy this as the honor of this sports already at risk, there are real boxers who needs support and they spend time to train and to showcase their skills and talents.

Let them harvest the fruit of thier works.

I'm okay with supporting this but not on professional boxers fighting on an exhibition match, or a retired and popular boxer fighting a youtuber. Both of these are not popular in the sports of boxing, they will have a show and asking us to support by buying the PPV, now we have to decide to support it or not.
2360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA All-Star Voting 2021 on: February 10, 2021, 10:07:59 PM
If I don't see wrong only one person said Bradley Beal here. Why are you so cruel against him? Do you think he's padding stats? He's scoring leader by far, 34.8 points per game.
It's a straight disrespect he's not even mentioned here. Wizards is a very bad team but Westbrook and Beal carried whole team this season. I think he deserves a recognition.

Well... I agree with you because he's the first player who does more than 25 points in 16 straight games after Michael Jordan reached that mark in 1988.
I searched here... Beal is the leader in offensive statistics with an average of 35 points, in addition to 4.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

I think, his excellent performance isn't so evident because the Washington Wizards have bad results, but Beal says he wants to stay in it and save the team. Can he do it?

Hard to say he can because the team's performance has been not improving, they already have Westbrook an MVP but the team still struggles. I believe this team needs to start rebuilding, and I don't know if the arrival of Westbrook to the team really helps.  But it's still too early to tell though, let's give them a chance and evaluate the team when the season is over.
