Better hold on to your bitcoins or try trading on altcoins and get more BC in return if you have invested wisely on profitable altcoins.
If you dont trust altcoions then trade only with BTC with other currency and improve from there. DO not invest on Ponzis since there are a lot being promoted at this time.
Avoid gambling as well.

We might be seeing a surge of mass adoption of bitcoin there in Africa if everything went smoothly.
They already have a good implementation of mobile money and BTC is just the next step with the infrastructure already set.

The site does not look good. By the name of it ponzi, it is still ponzi scheme, money comes from those people who deposited after you to pay you up. This will not catch up and better leave it. Dont invest your money on Ponzis.

Atleast you were able to cashout the 0.15 BTC and marked as your profit. As they say easy come and easy go, just put that 0.7 btc that lost as a fair warning and for experience sake.

I think the moderators should find a way to restrict the proliferation of these ponzi schemes in this forum so not to entice more newbies or gamblers risking their money. It will do a great service to the community and uphold the morale as well.

I find myself frustrated with that major internet company and also with that "intrinsic" value of openness as a marketing tool that is guided mostly by profit. When 1 of 7 people on earth is using this platform on daily base, it scares the hell out of me observing this economical stalemate and the majority of facebook users to be guided only to entertainment and like buttons. There is an unlimited collaborative force through the internet and I sense that facebook to some extent stupefy its users by placing price labels on their foreheads. http://techcrunch.com/2014/10/05/pay-with-facebook-messenger/I understand that there are architectural difficulties of the friend to friend payments system, but blockchain technology has to be considered as an absolutely scaling tool that is going to unleash an amazing humanitarian force. It could be the first unbloody revolution. All the major internet companies should incorporate bitcoin. Its good if facebook can incorporate bitcoin on their payment system, but I doubt it if it will push through. But using bitcoin for buying facebook credits and other games involved in facebook will be a better possibility. |

As a long time IT manager I finally realized that if you want folks to adopt to new advances you need to completely skip the technical aspects... more time should be spent giving them "what's in it for me" and making it fun.
When we did need to have training sessions relating to tech concepts we tried to make it a good experience... for example casino night... correct answer gained chips... or a virtual baseball game between two teams (base hit for simple answers... home run for harder etc).
As the op says as a community we have to come to grips with the need to dummy it down ... simple short promotions that can positively address their every day issues.
I do agree on what your saying. Skip the technical aspects and go for more mass adoption. As more and more are adopting this new currency into the market, people will easily understand then the need for BTC and its advantages compared to fiat. |
